Amitabh Bachchan wants to ‘catch hold’ of Abhishek Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya; says, “We need to catch some people, the youngsters, and say, ‘Let’s sit down and have a chat”

The team of Kalki 2898 AD is currently rejoicing the immense response the mythological sci-fi received at the box office. From Prabhas to Deepika Padukone to Amitabh Bachchan, the cast is celebrating this special achievement and recently opening up about how people have been complimenting the film, Mr. Bachchan, in a heartfelt conversation with the film’s director Nag Ashwin, pointed out the need to study and gauge the reactions of youngsters including the current generation.

Amitabh Bachchan offers to have a ‘chat’ with his son and granddaughter

In an interview with the director Nag Ashwin, which was shared in the official YouTube channel of the production house Vyjayanthi Films, the filmmaker-actor duo were seen discussing about the film and its success. In the same interaction, Big B opened up about his desire to have a ‘chat’ with son Abhishek Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya. He said, “It’s all very well to ask people coming out of the theatre what they felt, but we need to catch some people, the youngsters, and say, ‘Let’s sit down and have a chat and talk about what did you actually see, what was going through your mind?’ It would make a very interesting subject. I’m going to catch Abhishek and my granddaughter, and have a chat with them.”

Readers would be aware that Amitabh Bachchan features in a never-seen-before avatar of the immortal Ashwattama in the film. The megastar has been winning a lot of praises and opening up about was the film’s director Nag Ashwin, who said, “I know you don’t like this, but this is one of the few chances we have to thank you for your patience. The whole country, whoever I speak to, but they say it’s such a pleasure to see you in that avatar. I did a bunch of interviews, and everybody just said, ‘Thank you for giving us this Amitabh Bachchan’.”

Responding to these lovely words, Amitabh shared, “I just feel that the compliment isn’t to me, it’s to the concept and the character. It speaks volumes about the film. It’s not a compliment about a certain star, and they liked their performance, and so on and so forth… When they compliment a Prabhas or a Deepika, they’re actually complimenting the concept of the director, Nagi, who was able to conceive and put together this story.”

About Kalki 2898 AD

Inspired by the Indian prophecy about the tenth avatar of Vishnu, which is expected to the modern-day avatar of the Lord as Kalki, the film is set in the post-apocalyptic dystopian era with Kamal Haasan being in complete control of the new world as the dictator Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone as one of his pregnant subject SUM-80 aka Sumathi, Prabhas as bounty hunter Bhairava in lead roles. Featuring an ensemble cast including Disha Patani, the film released in cinemas on June 27 in multiple languages and has been garnering immense love from audiences at the box office.
