A new set photo from SS Rajamouli’s upcoming epic Varanasi has surfaced online, generating discussion ahead of the film’s worldwide release in 2027. Reported by the Times of India, the image captures a sweeping blue-screen backdrop enclosed by sculptured rock formations and intricately crafted rock pillars, believed to be from the Ugrabhatti caves sequence. It is a segment that had already caught attention after being briefly glimpsed in Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra’s character posters and the film’s trailer, and this new image marks its first more detailed look.

Inside the Ugrabhatti caves The photograph, shared on social media on May 26, 2026, does not feature any cast members but reveals the scale of the production’s set design. The Ugrabhatti caves sequence, as per reports cited by the Times of India, is built around the figure of Mata Chinnamasta Devi, a fierce Hindu goddess linked to themes of self-sacrifice, transformation, and cosmic balance. In mythology, she is depicted as carrying her own severed head while offering her blood to her attendants. Within the narrative of Varanasi, Mahesh Babu’s character reportedly seeks the goddess’s divine grace to defeat an ancient evil force.

The photograph confirms the use of blue screens across the set, pointing to the extensive visual effects work that the final sequence will require.

A production unlike any other Rajamouli was previously reported to have travelled to Africa’s grasslands to film real-time footage of migratory animals for a separate sequence. The director has also confirmed the use of IMAX cameras, most notably for a Ramayana battle sequence.

Produced by K.L. Narayana and S.S. Karthikeya under Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business, Varanasi stars Mahesh Babu as Rudhra, Priyanka Chopra as Mandakini, and Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha. Music is composed by MM Keeravani. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027, in standard and IMAX formats.

On April 24, Sanjay Dutt, Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson of Aspect Global (Aspect Entertainment), Subhash Ghai and Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios announced Khalnayak Returns at an event in Mumbai. The intro teaser of Khalnayak Returns was unveiled at this event, and it received a thunderous response. Sanjay Dutt looked dashing, and the use of the iconic Khalnayak theme added to the excitement. Since Subhash Ghai had directed the original Khalnayak (1993), it was widely assumed that the Showman would return to helm Khalnayak Returns as well. Soon, Subhash Ghai confessed that he won’t be donning the director’s hat again.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Sanjay Dutt was keen that Rajkumar Santoshi should direct Khalnayak Returns. He felt that Raj ji has an understanding of commercial cinema and would be able to do justice. Moreover, the two powerhouse, talented individuals have never worked together. Hence, Sanjay Dutt felt that it would be great to finally join hands with Rajkumar Santoshi, that too for a special project. Accordingly, he met the director and offered him the film.”

The source continued, “However, Rajkumar Santoshi politely and respectfully declined the offer. He’s currently busy providing final touches to his film Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol. He’s also written scripts that he wants to pitch to Sunny as well as Aamir Khan. Hence, he told Sanjay Dutt that he doesn’t have the time to direct Khalnayak Returns.”

The source added, “However, Rajkumar Santoshi was touched by Sanjay Dutt’s gesture. He wished him all the best and appreciated his look and swag in the intro teaser. Meanwhile, Sanju sir is now considering other filmmakers to direct Khalnayak Returns.”

At the Khalnayak Returns event, Sanjay Dutt revealed, “I got the thought of making Khalnayak part 2 in jail (smiles). I used to play music inside the prison. The inmates used to insist only on the songs of Khalnayak. I asked them, ‘Agar Khalnayak phir se banaye, toh kaun dekhna chahega?’. All 4000 prisoners said in unison that they would love to see it. I told them, ‘Send me a one-pager idea of the film’. It took me a lot of time to read 4000 pages! One of the ideas that I got appealed to me.”

The upcoming Punjabi film Carry On Jatta 4 has landed in legal trouble ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on June 26, 2026. According to a report in the May 23, 2026 issue of Atul Mohan’s Complete Cinema magazine, Reliance Industries Ltd. has approached the Bombay High Court seeking to restrain the release of the much-awaited comedy entertainer.

As per the article, the matter reportedly arises from a contractual dispute linked to a tripartite arrangement involving Reliance Industries Ltd., Panorama Studios International Ltd. and Humble Motion Pictures. The dispute has now reached the court, with Reliance seeking urgent protection in connection with the film’s rights and release.

The matter came up before Justice Abhay Ahuja, who permitted Reliance to correct certain procedural defects in its commercial plaint. The court also granted Reliance liberty to approach the Vacation Court for appropriate relief.

During the hearing, the defence raised objections to the maintainability of the suit, pointing out non-compliance with the verification requirements for commercial disputes. Senior Advocate Venkatesh Dhond, appearing for Reliance, sought a status quo order, expressing apprehension that the defendants could create third-party rights over the property.

On the other hand, Senior Advocate Ashish Kamat, appearing for Panorama Studios, opposed the request for status quo. He argued that third-party rights had already been created before Reliance moved its application before the court.

With the film’s release date already announced, the legal proceedings could become crucial in determining whether Carry On Jatta 4 faces any delay or hurdle before its theatrical arrival.

There are songs that arrive with mood lighting, designer costumes, international locations, 400 background dancers, drone shots, neon frames and a marketing deck longer than the screenplay. And then there is Ghis Ghis Ghis from Welcome To The Jungle, which seems to have arrived with only one mission: Boss, speaker phaadna hai.

In an industry that has become painfully obsessed with looking cool, sleek, premium, curated and Instagram-safe, Ghis Ghis Ghis feels like that one loud baraati who enters the wedding before the groom, dances with the band, argues with the dholwala, eats two plates of chaat and still becomes the most memorable person of the evening.

The recently released song from Welcome To The Jungle features Akshay Kumar with Bhojpuri star Akshara Singh has clocked more than 6 million views in the past 24 hours. But the bigger story is not just the song. The bigger story is what the song represents.

Bollywood has spent the last few years trying very hard to decode virality. There are social media teams, trend analysts, reel strategies, influencer campaigns, hook-step consultants, meme calendars and launch-day hashtags. Yet, after all this, some songs vanish in 48 hours while a completely mad, unapologetically desi track suddenly gets people talking.

Why? Because virality does not always come from perfection. Sometimes, it comes from personality.

And Ghis Ghis Ghis has personality in abundance. It is loud. It is odd. It is cheeky. It is not trying to be approved by a South Bombay brunch table. That is the difference.

Akshay Kumar, at his best, has always understood this side of popular entertainment. He is not just an action star, not just a comedy star, not just a patriotic-film machine, not just the actor who can do five genres before lunch. His real superpower has always been rhythm: comic rhythm, physical rhythm, public rhythm. He knows how to be ridiculous without appearing embarrassed by the ridiculousness. That quality is essential for a film like Welcome To The Jungle.

Because let’s be honest: a comedy of this scale cannot survive on sophistication. It has to embrace chaos. It has to look like fifty people landed on set, nobody knew who was saying what, and somehow the confusion became the punchline. That is the DNA of the Welcome universe. This is not a franchise where people sit quietly in Scandinavian furniture and discuss trauma. This is a franchise where a painting of a donkey can become more iconic than half the characters in serious cinema.

So when Akshay Kumar steps into a song like Ghis Ghis Ghis, it feels strangely appropriate. It tells the audience not to come here looking for subtlety. This jungle has no meditation zone. And that is exactly what Bollywood needs right now: a proper stress-buster.

In today’s time, getting an ensemble cast itself is a heroic task. In such a climate, mounting a film like Welcome To The Jungle with a huge cast is not just production; it is wildlife management. Making a multi-starrer comedy today is like arranging a family WhatsApp group picnic where every member is a celebrity.

Welcome To The Jungle is bringing Akshay back into the kind of zone where audiences don’t want him to carry the nation, save the system or explain a social issue. They want him to be trapped in madness and somehow make the madness worse. And Ghis Ghis Ghis is a smart reminder of that promise. The song may or may not become a long-term chartbuster. That only time will tell. But it has already done one thing right: it has made people react. That matters.

In the current attention economy, indifference is more dangerous than criticism. A song that divides people, amuses people, shocks people or makes people laugh has a better chance than a song that everyone politely ignores. Nobody makes reels on pleasant. Nobody forwards tasteful. But give people something mad enough and they will either dance to it, mock it, defend it or secretly enjoy it while publicly pretending they are above it. That is the sweet spot of mass entertainment.

The funniest part is that songs like Ghis Ghis Ghis often expose Bollywood’s class anxiety. The same industry that wants mass numbers sometimes gets nervous about mass taste. It wants the single-screen whistle but also wants multiplex approval. It wants viral reach but also wants elite validation. It wants the meme but not the embarrassment. But true mass entertainment has never been neat. It is sweaty, loud, repetitive, shameless and deeply democratic.

With Ghis Ghis Ghis, Akshay Kumar and the team of Welcome To The Jungle seem to have understood one simple truth: you cannot manufacture madness in a boardroom. You have to allow it to spill.

And if the song is any indication, this jungle may be loud, crowded and completely out of control. In other words, exactly what Bollywood comedy has been missing.

A major data-theft case has emerged from Tiger Baby Digital LLP, the production house of filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, as many as 66 hard disks containing important production material have allegedly gone missing from the company’s Bandra office. Some of these drives reportedly contained unreleased footage and work-in-progress content, making the matter serious for the production house.

The complaint was filed by Mehjabeen Mushtaq Shaikh, who works as the executive assistant and HR administrator at the company. Acting on her complaint, the Bandra police registered an FIR against Mohammad Shahid Azim Khan and Ritesh Suresh Shah, a 44-year-old Borivali resident. The police confirmed to Mumbai Mirror that both have been arrested and sent to police custody till May 29.

The issue was discovered on May 21, when the staff needed certain hard disks for ongoing work but could not find them. This led to an internal check of the office storage area. During the inspection, several hard-disk boxes were allegedly found empty and damaged. The company’s records showed that it had an inventory of 119 hard disks, out of which 66 were allegedly missing.

The scale of the missing material has made the case even more alarming. The hard disks reportedly had storage capacities between 16TB and 72TB. They contained raw shooting footage, edited scenes, post-production files, advertisement projects, backups, archival material and completed movie-related data. Some of the content was connected to film and OTT projects, while some was still unreleased.

Investigators have said that Khan allegedly admitted during internal questioning that he stole 24 hard disks over the last five months. These drives were allegedly sold to Shah for Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 each. The police also suspect that some of the hard disks may have later entered the grey market.

The data on the stolen drives reportedly included material linked to projects such as Made In Heaven and Ghost Stories, along with advertisement campaigns for beauty and digital-content companies.

The police are now trying to find out whether the data was copied, accessed, transferred or leaked before the drives disappeared. Cyber experts may be asked to examine if any of the material has been circulated online or misused.

Meanwhile, investigators are also checking whether any other employee had a role in the matter. However, officials have not reached any conclusion on that aspect yet.

Actor Kangana Ranaut has come out in support of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after the latter faced criticism on social media over her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. Responding to the online discourse surrounding Aishwarya’s fashion choices, Kangana shared a strongly worded note defending the actor and speaking about individuality, self-expression, and the scrutiny faced by women in the public eye.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana posted a photo from Aishwarya’s first Cannes red carpet appearance this year, where the actor was seen wearing a striking blue gown. Sharing her thoughts on the criticism, Kangana wrote, “Fashion and style is a self expression, it is one's own interpretation of life and their attitude, no woman owes anything to anyone, Ash looks great!!”

The actor further criticised those judging Aishwarya’s appearance and questioned the unrealistic standards often imposed on women, especially senior actresses. “Those of you who want to see her any other way, why don't you show what you got?? She is not here to please you, she is glorious,” Kangana added.

Addressing conversations around ageism and representation on international red carpets, Kangana also wrote, “if you are not used to seeing older women on red carpets, get used to them now. Thanks.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her 24th appearance at the Cannes Film Festival this year, continuing her long-standing association with the prestigious global event as the brand ambassador for L'Oréal Paris. Joining her at Cannes was daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, who also made an official appearance alongside her mother at the Lights on Women’s Worth Gala dinner hosted during the festival.

Interestingly, Aishwarya was not the only Bollywood celebrity to face online criticism over fashion choices during Cannes this year. Actor Alia Bhatt, who was also a part of L’Oreal, too found herself at the centre of social media discussions regarding her outfits and overall styling during her appearances at the festival. Several actors, filmmakers, and fans had also stepped forward in support of Alia, highlighting the growing conversations around trolling, unrealistic beauty standards, and personal expression in fashion.

Kangana’s statement has since garnered attention online, with many social media users appreciating her for standing in solidarity with Aishwarya and speaking against age-based criticism directed at women in entertainment and fashion spaces.

Exactly a year ago, Bollywood Hungama reported what was probably one of the biggest newsbreaks of 2025 – Paresh Rawal had quit Hera Pheri 3. It shocked the trade, the industry, fans and even the team of the film. A few days after this news broke, Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films, the producer of Hera Pheri 3, sued Paresh Rawal for Rs. 25 crores. A couple of days later, Bollywood Hungama published another report stating that Paresh Rawal had returned the signing amount of Rs. 11 lakhs with 15% p.a. interest, along with some additional money for stepping away from the series. A few weeks later, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar resolved the matter, and the former returned to the franchise. The issue was put to rest and had even become history. But now, amusingly, it is back in the news.

On Saturday, reports started coming in that Paresh Rawal has once again quit Hera Pheri 3. Interestingly, these reports carried the same information that Bollywood Hungama had published exactly a year ago – that Paresh Rawal had returned the signing amount with 15% interest and additional compensation for walking out of the film. CLICK HERE TO READ THE NEWS

Back then, Bollywood Hungama had also reported further details about the development – that the actor was being paid Rs. 15 crores for the film, had received Rs. 11 lakhs as the signing amount and was to receive the balance Rs. 14.89 crores a month after the film’s release. A source had told us then, “The senior actor had reservations about this clause. Also, the film’s principal shoot was to commence sometime next year. This means that Hera Pheri 3 was unlikely to be released before late 2026 or in the year 2027. In short, Paresh would have had to wait for nearly two years to get the rest of his acting fees.”

The same information has now been picked up by certain news outlets, and the source of the information has been attributed to Bollywood Hungama. However, what they forgot to inform readers was that Bollywood Hungama had published this report on May 23, 2025, while these outlets wrote about it exactly a year later, on May 23, 2026!

Another amusing aspect is that the articles mention that Paresh Rawal would have to wait two years to get his acting fees if Hera Pheri 3 is released in late 2026 or 2027. But we are now in 2026. Hence, if the news was actually fresh, he would have to wait just six months or less than a year to receive Rs. 14.89 crores. This itself proves that the information being circulated is a year old.

As expected, the report has spread like wildfire on the internet and has panicked fans. However, they need not worry. Whenever Hera Pheri 3 is made, everyone’s favourite Baburao Ganpatrao Apte will definitely be there to entertain them.

Actor Akshay Kumar is set to headline a new large-scale sci-fi action thriller titled Samuk, directed by Kanishk Varma and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Positioned as an ambitious alien survival thriller, the film is currently in development and is expected to go on floors soon.

The project marks Akshay Kumar’s return to a full-scale action role and will reportedly combine elements of survival horror, military realism, and alien thriller storytelling. The makers are also bringing together an international technical team with experience across several Hollywood franchise films. Speaking about the project, producer Vipul Shah said, “We always try to challenge ourselves with different genres, and Samuk is something Indian cinema hasn’t attempted before. Our aim is to create a world-class alien thriller for audiences.”

Director Kanishk Varma, known for projects such as Sanak and Inside Edge, revealed that the idea for the film emerged from his interest in survival thrillers and elite security force worlds. “Samuk was born from my love for the SPG world and survival thrillers like Alien and Predator. Bringing those influences together with Akshay sir has been surreal,” he said. The filmmaker also emphasised the use of practical effects over fully CGI-driven visuals. “I always wanted the creature to feel physically real on set. That old-school tactile horror is what made films like Alien timeless,” he added.

Joining the project is acclaimed Hollywood creature effects designer Alec Gillis, whose filmography includes work on the Alien and Predator franchises, along with films such as Starship Troopers, It, and Tremors. Gillis, who previously worked under legendary filmmaker Stan Winston, described the collaboration as creatively exciting.

“Working with Kanishk has been fantastic because he genuinely loves practical creature filmmaking. Our goal is to create an alien predator unlike anything audiences have seen before,” Gillis said. He further added, “Together Kanishk and I designed the title character, which is truly a unique alien horror. In an era of CGI and AI, it is gratifying that directors and audiences still value handcrafted, human-made traditional monsters.”

Praising Akshay Kumar’s screen presence, Gillis said, “He has the physicality of Jason Statham and the likeability of Tom Cruise. The challenge is creating a monster worthy of facing him. My goal is to create an alien nemesis in Samuk whose energy and screen charisma equal Mr. Kumar's. Defeating this new classic movie monster will not be an easy task, even for him.”

The action sequences for the film will be overseen by British stunt coordinator Luke Tumber, whose credits include the Mission: Impossible films, Star Wars, No Time To Die, and the Venom franchise. Speaking about the collaboration, Tumber said, “Kanishk has a very clear vision for the action, and Vipul Shah wants the scale to feel truly Hollywood-level. Working with Akshay Kumar on this kind of grounded, high-intensity action film is incredibly exciting.”

He added, “This project represents an exciting fusion of international stunt expeakshay kumarrtise, visionary filmmaking, and authentic action cinema, and I'm proud to be part of bringing that vision to life. Together, we aim to deliver a film that combines powerful storytelling with cutting-edge live-action sequences that will resonate with audiences internationally.”

Akshay Kumar also confirmed his involvement in the project, saying, “Yes, I've signed this film. I found the script and subject of Samuk fascinating. Alien thriller is a totally new genre for me and also for our films. I am very excited about it.”

Co-produced by Aashin A Shah, Samuk is being developed as a pan-Indian theatrical project with a planned 2027 release window.

David Dhawan was celebrated and every member of the cast spoke highly of him. Meanwhile, the most emotional moment of the launch was when David Dhawan got teary-eyed.

Varun Dhawan said, “It’s amazing that this man (David Dhawan) is making a film at this age. We are living in times when every Friday, we are questioning cinema. We all love cinema, but we do ask, ‘Kya yeh film chalegi’. All I want to say is that this is a David Dhawan film. Yeh film inke conviction pe bani hai. It's an all-out entertainer to make you laugh. David Dhawan noted, “He (Varun) has been a great son. He has always looked after me and my health. For everything and anything, he’s always there standing by me. Even in the hospital, he used to sleep there with me. What more do you want? As an actor, he’s improving for sure. What you want, he can give you. But, as a father, I feel that everybody should have a son like him.”

As he said this, David got emotional and had tears. Varun tried to make light of the moment and joked, “Like me and Rohit.” It worked as David smiled and said, “Yeah. My other son, too. Both of them.” Varun then gave a peck to David on his cheeks.

At another point, he further praised Varun Dhawan, “He’s improving a lot and it's visible. He’s taking care of me also in this age.” A journalist remarked that David Dhawan should not retire. David didn’t deny the speculations but simply said, “Aap apni health mujhe de do!”

Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, David Dhawan, Ramesh Taurani, Anu Malik, Sameer, Maniesh Paul, Chunky Panday, Rajesh Kumar, Jimmy Sheirgill, Rajat Rawail, Ali Asgar, Girish Kumar, Kumar Taurani, writer Rumy Jafry and cinematographer Ayananka Bose attended the trailer launch of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai in Mumbai on May 23. The trailer launch was originally scheduled for May 21 but was cancelled at the last minute. Varun began the event by speaking about the rescheduling.

Varun Dhawan said, “Thank you to the media and fans for coming again. I genuinely mean it, as you guys came twice, that too in this terrible Mumbai heat. Hence, each one of you will get Fast & Up and a free iPhone from Ramesh ji!”

Maniesh Paul, in his trademark style, joked, “This has happened for the first time in the history of cinema that there was a rehearsal of a trailer launch! Aap log rehearsal pe aaye, bahut accha laga! And we are glad that you made it for the actual trailer launch as well (smiles).”

The film is embroiled in a legal matter after Vashu Bhagnani went to court over the use of the songs ‘Ishq Sona Hai’ and ‘Chunari Chunari’. He claimed that the songs belong to his film Biwi No 1 (1999) and hence, the makers of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai can’t use them in their film. Tips, meanwhile, argued that they have the rights to use the song.

Ramesh Taurani was asked about the case and he said, “There’s no problem at all. Hamara jo bhi tha, woh sort hua hai. Aur aage bhi sort ho jaayega. So, there’s no problem. Also, it’s a sub-judice matter. Hence, we are handling it.”

Varun also hinted at the matter when the team of the film was being called. When it was time to call Girish Kumar, he said, “I want to sing one song for Girish. It’s my favourite song and I was listening to it today in the car.” Varun then sang ‘Jeena Laga Hoon’ from Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013), starring Girish.

After singing the song, Varun raised laughs as he asked, “Ramesh ji, iss gaane ke rights hai na?” Ramesh laughed and replied, “We have all the rights!” Maniesh Paul joked, “Nahin toh phir se aana padega!”

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai releases in cinemas on June 5.

Bollywood actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has finally broken her silence regarding intense social media speculation about her marital status. The rumors began circulating rapidly after a paparazzi video surfaced online, showing the actress in a traditional pink salwar suit, sporting a mangalsutra, a bindi, and green bangles. These traditional symbols of a married Hindu woman immediately sent fans and social media platforms into an absolute frenzy, with many assuming she had tied the knot in secret.

Addressing the chaos directly, Kangana took to her Instagram stories on May 22 to clarify the situation. She shared a post that featured the speculative Hindi text asking if she was secretly married alongside her viral look. Putting an end to all the guesswork, the actress explained that the outfit was nothing more than her character makeup for an ongoing film project.

Expressing amusement over the sudden influx of curiosity, Kangana shared a lighthearted note on her social media handle. She stated: "I am filming in and around the city every single day, some one clicked this random picture with character make up and now I am getting so many phone calls 😂, but what is the big deal about the married woman look ? Actors play all kinds of roles, I won't marry secretly I promise 😁🙏."

While she successfully put the wedding rumors to rest, the actress did not clarify which specific project she was shooting for at the time the video was captured.

On the professional front, Kangana was last seen in Emergency (2025). The film marked a major milestone in her career as her solo directorial debut, following her 2019 film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, where she shared directorial credits with Krish Jagarlamudi.

Looking ahead, the actor-politician is gearing up for her next major theatrical release, titled Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata. Set to hit theatres on June 12, the film is directed by Manoj Tapadia and is based on the harrowing events of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, with the primary narrative taking place inside a hospital.

TIFFNZ is scheduled to debut in October 2026 and is being positioned as New Zealand’s first dedicated Indian film festival. Founded by Petrina D’Rozario, the festival aims to celebrate Indian cinema while encouraging stronger creative and cultural collaborations between India and New Zealand.

The launch event is expected to place significant focus on Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, who have increasingly expanded their presence beyond acting into film production. Over the years, the duo has backed projects that balance mainstream appeal with independent storytelling, while also supporting content-driven cinema with global reach.

Speaking about their participation in the launch event, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal said in a joint statement, “We’re very happy to be part of the launch of TIFFNZ. Film festivals play an important role in building dialogue and creating space for diverse stories. We’re looking forward to supporting this new chapter and engaging with audiences there.”

The festival is envisioned as a four-day event that will take place across Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Apart from film screenings, TIFFNZ is also expected to host workshops, cultural events, and industry conversations aimed at connecting filmmakers, audiences, and creative professionals from both countries.

According to the organisers, the inaugural edition of the festival is expected to showcase nearly 30 films across feature-length and short film categories. The programming will focus on highlighting the diversity of Indian cinema while also amplifying South Asian voices in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The film garnered attention on the international festival circuit for its coming-of-age narrative and has helped establish the couple’s production ambitions on a global platform.

It’s been almost six months since the first look teaser of King was unveiled on the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday. Yet, the excitement around the film has remained constant, even though its release is still nearly seven months away. Recently, we came across a tweet by an SRK fan that made an interesting observation – the superstar is collaborating with several members of King’s ensemble cast after a very long gap. While he is reuniting with some after a decade, others are sharing screen space with him after nearly 20 or even 30 years. In this article, Bollywood Hungama takes a closer look at this nostalgic reunion factor.

Anil Kapoor will feature in a crucial role in King and he was last seen with Shah Rukh Khan in Trimurti (1995), which was released 31 years ago. This is the only film that featured both actors. With Saurabh Shukla, SRK has worked thrice — in Baadshah (1999), Hey Ram (2000) and Mohabbatein (2000). Hence, both will be seen together in a film after 26 years.

Shah Rukh Khan and Arshad Warsi haven’t shared screen space in full-fledged roles in a film. However, Shah Rukh appeared in an entertaining and crucial cameo in the Arshad Warsi-starrer Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye (2005).

Then, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji last appeared together in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006). She’s the co-star in King with whom SRK has worked the maximum — 7 times to be exact — in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Hey Ram, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Chalte Chalte (2003), Veer-Zaara (2004), Paheli (2005) and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. SRK was seen in a cameo in Rani Mukerji’s Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000) and Saathiya (2002). In Shah Rukh Khan-fronted films, Rani was seen in a special appearance in Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Om Shanti Om (2007) and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008). That way, both have done a whopping 12 films in all.

Jackie Shroff and Abhishek Bachchan starred in Happy New Year (2014), which was their last film with the superstar. Jackie and SRK earlier worked together in King Uncle (1993), One 2 Ka 4 (2001) and Devdas (2002). SRK and Abhishek, meanwhile, shared screen space in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna before Happy New Year.

Jaideep Ahlawat played a supporting part in Raees (2017), which was his only film with SRK. Finally, Deepika Padukone was last seen in an important supporting role in Jawan (2023), which was released three years ago. Together, SRK and Deepika have come together five times, and all these films have emerged as huge hits – Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express (2013), Happy New Year, Pathaan (2023) and Jawan. Deepika also made special appearances in Shah Rukh’s Billu (2009) and Zero (2018).

Lastly, actors like Akshay Oberoi, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, Fahim Fazli and Karanvir Malhotra are also seen in King and they’ll be sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time.

When King’s ensemble last shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan: 1. Anil Kapoor – Trimurti (1995) 2. Saurabh Shukla – Mohabbatein (2000) 3. Arshad Warsi – Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye (2005; SRK in a cameo) 4. Rani Mukerji – Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008; Rani in a cameo) 5. Jackie Shroff – Happy New Year (2014) 6. Abhishek Bachchan – Happy New Year (2014) 7. Jaideep – Raees (2017) 8. Deepika Padukone – Jawan (2023)

The ongoing legal dispute between producer Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment and Tips Music has reignited the long-standing debate over ownership of film music rights in the Indian film industry. The controversy erupted after Pooja Entertainment approached the court alleging that Tips recreated the iconic track ‘Chunari Chunari’ for the upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai without obtaining permission. The song originally featured in Biwi No.1 (1999), produced by Pooja Entertainment. The court has currently granted interim protection in favour of Vashu Bhagnani.

While reacting to the matter on social media, Tips Music insisted that they remain to be “lawful owner” of the music rights and termed the allegations made by Pooja Entertainment as “malicious.” Responding to Tips’ statement, a legal spokesperson representing Vashu Bhagnani said that all music rights, songs, and films referred to in the suit are presently covered under the court’s “status quo” order. The spokesperson further maintained that, at this stage, the issue of lawful ownership or the validity of agreements cannot be determined as the matter is now under the jurisdiction of the court.

The spokesperson also stated that actors, filmmaker David Dhawan, producers, technicians, and everyone associated with the matter may be required to appear before the court and submit their responses, failing which they could face contempt proceedings.

Calling the interim relief a significant development, the spokesperson described it as a win for film producers and said that producers across the industry should unite to safeguard their rights. According to the statement, music companies have generated massive revenues over the years from rights and investments that originally belonged to producers, making it important for producers to collectively assert their claims. The spokesperson added that this interim order is only the beginning and expressed hope that complete justice would eventually be delivered.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in lead roles.

Playback singer Sonu Nigam has sold 1.067 hectares of land in Karjat, part of the emerging Mumbai 3.0 development corridor, for a total consideration of Rs 95 lakhs, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix and reported by Hindustan Times.

The recent transactions involve five adjoining land parcels located in Savele village of Karjat. Collectively spread across approximately 1.067 hectares, the land parcels were sold through multiple deals registered on May 12, 2026. Documents reveal that a stamp duty of Rs 5.7 lakhs was paid for the transactions.

As per the registration papers, one land parcel measuring 0.21 hectare was purchased by a group of four individuals for Rs 20 lakhs. Another adjoining plot measuring 0.215 hectare was acquired by two homebuyers for the same amount.

In a separate transaction, a 0.225-hectare parcel was sold to an individual buyer for Rs 20 lakhs. Meanwhile, another 0.20-hectare plot was purchased by two individuals for Rs 17 lakhs. The fifth parcel, measuring 0.217 hectare, was sold for Rs 18 lakhs.

Neither Sonu Nigam nor the buyers have publicly commented on the transactions so far.

Interestingly, this is the second set of land deals involving the singer in Karjat within a short span. In April 2026, Sonu Nigam sold multiple land parcels in the same region totalling over 1.9 hectares for ₹1.95 crore. Those transactions were registered on April 7, 2026, and reportedly involved four separate buyers.

According to the documents, the first parcel measuring 0.405 hectares was sold for Rs 50 lakhs, while another 0.718-hectare plot fetched Rs 75 lakhs. A third parcel spread across 0.607 hectares was sold for Rs 50 lakhs, while the fourth transaction involved a 0.208-hectare plot valued at Rs 20 lakhs. A stamp duty of Rs 11.70 lakhs was reportedly paid for those deals.

Apart from these sales, the Nigam family has also remained active in Mumbai’s real estate market. Earlier this year in February, Sonu Nigam’s father, Agam Kumar Nigam, purchased a 1,197 sq m property in Madh Island, Mumbai, for Rs 10 crores. The acquisition reportedly included a ground-plus-one-floor residential and commercial structure.

In 2025, Sonu Nigam was also in the news for leasing a commercial property in Mumbai’s Santacruz East for a five-year period at a total rental value exceeding Rs 12.61 crores.

Ahaan Panday is reportedly set to showcase his dancing skills for the first time on the big screen in his upcoming untitled film with director Ali Abbas Zafar. After creating a strong fan following with Saiyaara, the young actor is now expected to step into a more commercial and larger-than-life space with an energetic dance number planned as part of the action entertainer.

While many expected Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara to introduce Ahaan in a more conventional Bollywood hero format, complete with dance and music, the filmmaker instead presented him in an intense and emotionally layered avatar. The film turned Ahaan into an overnight Gen Z sensation, with audiences particularly connecting to his romantic and emotionally vulnerable character.

Now, industry buzz suggests that Yash Raj Films and Ali Abbas Zafar are planning to unveil a completely different side of the actor in his second film. According to sources, a special dance sequence is being planned in Manchester, UK, where a major portion of the film is currently being shot.

“This will be the first time that Ahaan will be seen dancing on the big screen, and we expect this to be a spectacularly special moment. A four-day shoot is being planned to shoot Ahaan singing and dancing just like the stars we have all seen doing for all these years,” a source revealed.

The source further added that the makers want to present Ahaan in a full-fledged star avatar. “The sequence will show Ahaan in his effortless best, and that’s how Aditya Chopra and Ali Abbas Zafar want to present him onscreen.”

Reports also suggest that Ahaan will rehearse for the song during breaks in the UK shooting schedule before filming the track toward the end of the international leg. The makers are reportedly looking to create a song with viral appeal among younger audiences, with plans to finalise a leading choreographer soon.

A viral picture featuring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and comedian Samay Raina has taken social media by storm, sparking widespread speculation around the return of India’s Got Latent. The photos, reportedly clicked at The Habitat in Mumbai, have led fans to believe that the actresses may be appearing as part of the promotional campaign for their upcoming spy-universe film Alpha.

While there has been no official confirmation from the makers or the actors involved, the viral images have already triggered intense discussions online. Many fans appeared excited at the possibility of seeing Alia and Sharvari participate in Samay Raina’s popular digital talent-roast format, especially given the enormous online popularity the show achieved after its launch in 2024.

Created by Samay Raina, India’s Got Latent quickly became one of the most talked-about digital shows in the country due to its unfiltered humour, unpredictable format, and viral guest interactions. However, the show also attracted controversy and criticism over certain segments, eventually leading to a temporary shutdown and legal scrutiny. Following months of silence, Samay recently addressed the situation during his stand-up special Still Alive, confirming that the show would eventually return despite the emotional and legal challenges surrounding it.

Now, with Season 2 already generating buzz, the appearance of mainstream Bollywood actors on the set has divided a section of the internet. While some social media users welcomed the crossover between Bollywood and digital comedy culture, others expressed concern that the show’s original raw and irreverent tone could shift towards a more promotional and corporate-friendly format.

Several users online commented that India’s Got Latent initially stood out because of its unconventional energy and unpredictable guest lineup. According to some viewers, frequent film promotions could dilute the authenticity that made the show popular among younger audiences in the first place.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt continues to dominate headlines globally following her recent appearance at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, marking her second outing at the prestigious event. Apart from Alpha, the actress also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War in the pipeline alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Sharvari, on the other hand, is currently occupied with promotions for her upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali.

Mouni Roy and entrepreneur Suraj Nambiar have once again found themselves at the centre of public attention following their recent separation announcement. A week after officially confirming their split through a joint Instagram statement, Suraj has now addressed the growing speculation surrounding the end of their marriage, firmly denying rumours about alimony, disputes, and third-party involvement.

Taking to Instagram, Suraj shared a lengthy statement calling several reports “baseless” and “malicious.” The note was later reposted by Mouni Roy on her own social media account, indicating a united stance from the former couple amid the ongoing chatter online. In his statement, Suraj wrote, “Recent baseless reports surrounding our separation have been made in bad taste and are absolutely malicious. Let me set the record straight once and for all. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There is no third party involved”.

He further clarified that the decision to separate was mutual and made with maturity and respect for one another. “Mouni and I chose to part ways together, with mutual respect and with full consideration for each other's wellbeing. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fiction, and in some cases, a deliberate attempt to vilify two people who have done nothing but ask to be left alone”.

Addressing rumours involving friends and alleged third parties, Suraj strongly objected to innocent individuals being dragged into the matter. He stated, “I want to state this clearly and finally: there is no truth to any of the claims being made about either of us, or about any third party. Dragging other people into this is not cool. Specially innocent friends who have nothing to do with this. Mouni and I have both conducted ourselves with dignity through this period and we expect that same dignity to be extended to us by those reporting on it”.

Calling out what he described as irresponsible reporting, Suraj added, “Media houses have chosen to fabricate narratives that do not exist. These reports have been published without a shred of verification, which is highly unfair. I am calling this out clearly and directly, because staying silent in the face of deliberate misinformation is not something I am willing to do”. He concluded the note by urging everyone to respect the joint statement shared earlier by the couple. “Our joint statement said everything that needed to be said. I request everyone to honour it and to allow both of us the space to move forward in peace. Thank you”.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar got married in January 2022 in Goa in the presence of close friends and family members. Their wedding, which featured both Malayali and Bengali traditions, had generated massive buzz on social media. Over the years, the couple frequently shared glimpses of their personal life and vacations online, becoming one of the most talked-about celebrity couples.

Three days ago, the former couple officially announced their separation through a joint Instagram note, requesting privacy and understanding from fans and the media as they navigated this personal transition.

A fun event was hosted by the Cocktail 2 team at a premium restobar in central Mumbai on Sunday, May 17, and was attended by Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna, producers Dinesh Vijan and Luv Ranjan, director Homi Adajania and music director Pritam Chakraborty. Two unreleased songs were premiered at the event – ‘Mashooka’, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, and ‘Tujhko’ featuring Shahid and Rashmika Mandanna.

At the event, Shahid Kapoor said, “I am very fortunate to have worked with these two amazing actresses, superstars and beautiful ladies who are extremely professional and in the absolute prime of their careers. Both have given spectacular performances and look amazing. That’s why my character, Kunal, can’t decide who to go with. That’s what the film is all about.”

He added, “With Rashmika, this is my first film. But it never felt so. Whenever we got into any shot, we never even discussed what we were going to do. I just loved that she was all up for spontaneity.”

Rashmika Mandanna added, “I fully agree. Everytime we were working on a scene together, somehow, spontaneously, we would come up with aftertakes. There’ll be one extra ‘tichka’ that we would give and we would not see it coming. We would even rehearse. That’s why the chemistry was magical.”

Kriti Sanon remarked, “You guys have such cute chemistry. It is adorable.” Then she asked the mediapersons, “Guys, how did you like their chemistry? Isn’t it super-cute?”

Next, Rashmika praised the duo, “We have definitely known for a while that you guys have something magical. But something in Cocktail 2 is so different.” Pointing at Kriti, she said, “You look hot; the world knows that. And you are f**king hot.”

Realizing that she uttered a profanity, Rashmika clarified to the media, “Oh, sorry! Censor kar dena. I didn’t say that!” She then rephrased and remarked, “She’s amazing. Look at her.”

Later, Luv Ranjan came on stage and stated, “I am scared because the first part was written by Imtiaz Ali. I am a huge fan of Imtiaz sir. I told Dino and Homi, ‘Better make a good film’. Or else, sabse zyada gaali mujhe padegi ki ‘Yeh hota hai jab Imtiaz Ali ko Luv Ranjan replace karte hai’! I want this to work so that I don’t let him down.”

Dinesh Vijan raised laughs as he joked, “If you don’t like anything in Cocktail 2, it's Luv’s fault!”

Cocktail 2 releases in cinemas on June 19.

The media was invited to the bash with the promise of a surprise.

The surprise turned out to be an exclusive preview of two songs from the film – ‘Mashooka’ and ‘Tujhko’. ‘Mashooka’ features Shahid Kapoor romancing Kriti Sanon in Sicily, Italy, and other picturesque locations. The foot-tapping number sees the duo in a playful, goofy mood before ending with a seductive dance sequence.

‘Tujhko’, meanwhile, is sung by Arijit Singh and focuses on Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. The slow romantic number hints that the two characters were college sweethearts before circumstances pulled them apart.

After both songs were unveiled, the media was asked to decide which one should release first. Initially, the journalists were asked to simply shout out the name of their preferred track. Later, a QR code flashed on the screen, directing them to a link where they could cast their vote.

The results were then announced, with ‘Mashooka’ receiving more votes than ‘Tujhko’. This led to some fun banter among the team, as they felt both tracks were equally strong and were in two minds about which one should be unveiled to the world first. Pritam Chakraborty insisted that the team should respect the voters’ choice and release ‘Mashooka’ first. Dinesh Vijan then announced that ‘Mashooka’ would indeed be the first song to be launched, followed by ‘Tujhko’.

Interestingly, ‘Tujhko’ ends with a slate announcing that the much-awaited trailer of Cocktail 2 will be launched on May 29. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on June 19.

Filmmaker and actor Anurag Kashyap has landed in legal trouble after a court in Surat directed police to register a criminal case against him over his alleged remarks about the Brahmin community on social media.

The order was passed on Saturday by the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class A S Jani following a private complaint filed by lawyer and Vishva Hindu Parishad leader Kamlesh Raval. According to reports, the court observed that there appeared to be sufficient grounds to examine whether the filmmaker’s posts could have harmed the reputation of a particular community and contributed to social tension.

As part of the order, the court instructed authorities to register a case under sections related to promoting hostility between groups, intentional insult aimed at disturbing public peace, and circulation of allegedly misleading information.

The complaint was filed by Raval, who belongs to the Brahmin community and alleged that Kashyap’s posts on X contained objectionable comments targeting Brahmins. According to the complaint, the controversy began after the filmmaker reacted to criticism surrounding the trailer launch of the Hindi film Phule in April last year.

The complainant claimed that Kashyap not only posted comments viewed as offensive but also continued making remarks while responding to users who opposed his views online. It was further alleged that the posts insulted the wider Brahmin community and had the potential to create division between social groups.

In the complaint submitted before the court, Raval reportedly argued that public figures like Kashyap hold significant influence because of their work in cinema and entertainment. The complaint stated that actors and filmmakers are widely followed by audiences across age groups, making their public statements highly impactful.

The plea also referred to an older social media post allegedly made by Kashyap in January 2020, where he had criticised the Union government and used terms that the complainant described as objectionable towards Hindus.

Reports further stated that several notices and summons had earlier been issued to the filmmaker in connection with the matter. However, according to the complainant, Kashyap did not respond to them, following which a non-bailable warrant was reportedly issued against him.

As of now, Anurag Kashyap has not publicly reacted to the latest court order.

May is a significant month for Anupria Goenka. Her film, IIZ: Indian Institute Of Zombies, was released on May 15, marking her first theatrical outing after four years. She’ll end the month on a celebratory note as she rings in her birthday on May 29. That’s not all. She has another reason to celebrate this month – the talented and gorgeous actress will make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Anupria Goenka exclusively told Bollywood Hungama, “I am going to Cannes for the premiere of the film called Bombay Stories. It’s being screened at the market section; it’s not in the official selection. Nevertheless, this will be my first visit to Cannes.”

She continued, “After that, I plan to travel around. I haven’t explored Europe much; I have only been to the United Kingdom. So, this birthday, I want to break my pattern and visit other countries (smiles).”

She also revealed, “I am leaving for Cannes on May 18, after IIZ: Indian Institute Of Zombies releases on May 15. Wish me luck (smiles)!”

Anupria on YRF Spy Universe

Anupria Goenka has been a part of two successful films from the YRF Spy Universe – Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and War (2019). The franchise has come under the scanner after the release of another spy film, Dhurandhar (2025) and its sequel, Dhurandhar The Revenge (2026).

When asked about the criticism directed at the YRF Spy Universe, Anupria opined, “I have no idea about it. The way I live and operate, I don’t really get to know what’s happening. I am very proud of both War and Tiger Zinda Hai and I thoroughly enjoyed shooting for them. I also enjoyed watching Pathaan (2023). For me, War and Tiger Zinda Hai were beautiful, entertaining films. Dhurandhar, meanwhile, is a different kind of entertaining film. There has to be space for everything. Everybody gets to choose what they like to watch. I enjoyed Dhurandhar a lot and felt it was a fabulous film. I am glad that kind of work is being done in India. At the same time, I have a huge amount of admiration for War and Tiger Zinda Hai, not just because I was a part of them, but also because I enjoyed them immensely as a viewer.”

Actor Sonu Sood has come out in support of Alia Bhatt after the actress faced heavy trolling on social media over her recent appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. While Alia attended the prestigious event as the global ambassador for L'Oréal Paris, sections of the internet criticised her red carpet looks and public appearances, leading to widespread online discussions.

Amid the criticism, Sonu Sood took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a strongly worded message encouraging positivity and support instead of negativity. Without directly addressing the trolls, the actor highlighted the importance of celebrating Indian artists representing the country on international platforms.

“When one of our own walks onto an international stage, it should be a moment of pride, not a reason to search for flaws. Not every achievement needs validation from cameras, headlines, or strangers to be meaningful. The courage to stand there, represent your craft, and carry your journey with grace is an achievement in itself. In a world addicted to trolling, choose encouragement.
Because people who are busy building dreams don’t have time to pull others down. Keep shining, my friend. The right people saw your light”, he wrote on Twitter aka X.

The post quickly gained traction online, with several fans appreciating Sonu Sood for speaking up against the culture of online trolling. Many social media users also praised the actor for promoting encouragement over criticism at a time when celebrity appearances often become subjects of intense online scrutiny.

Alia Bhatt made multiple appearances during the Cannes Film Festival this year and walked the red carpet twice as part of her association with L’Oréal Paris. Apart from her red-carpet outings, the actress also participated in several festival-related events and brand engagements throughout her time at Cannes.

Over the years, Cannes has increasingly become a major platform for Indian actors, filmmakers, and fashion personalities to showcase their global presence. However, celebrity appearances at the international festival frequently spark strong reactions online, often dividing social media users between praise and criticism.

Sonu Sood’s statement has now added another layer to the ongoing conversation around celebrity trolling, online validation, and the pressures public figures face in the age of social media commentary.

What are the vital ingredients an aspiring filmmaker needs when they have a story to tell but no outlet? Beyond a script, they need financial stability, production expertise, and industry access. Addressing this gap, Humans of Cinema and Safarnaama Pictures have launched a landmark feature film co-production fund of Rs 40,00,000 designed to back an emerging filmmaker with a distinct voice and a clear vision.

In a significant boost to the independent ecosystem, Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Shaunak Sen (All That Breathes) and globally acclaimed auteur Vishal Bhardwaj have joined the initiative as mentors. Sen is also attached to the selected project as an Executive Producer.

The high-profile jury for the fund includes actor Imran Khan, filmmaker Arati Kadav (Cargo, Mrs), producer Aman Mann (All That Breathes), and renowned author and festival director Aseem Chhabra.

Harshit Bansal, Founder of Humans of Cinema, shared that the idea took shape when Nazim Momin of Safarnaama Pictures—a US-based engineer and producer—reached out via Instagram with a shared vision to back independent Indian cinema. Together, they aim to support a film that is both festival-ready and engaging for local audiences.

Commenting on the initiative, mentor Vishal Bhardwaj said, “Independent cinema survives because some people choose to believe in voices before the world discovers them. Happy to support an initiative that hopes to find and nurture the next fearless generation of filmmakers from India.”

Shaunak Sen, who will Executive Produce the chosen script, added, “Avenues for independent cinema today are rapidly wilting, and I'm delighted that Humans of Cinema is instating a filmmaker-forward seed fund. I'm excited to work with the chosen scripts.”

The jury also expressed a collective urgency for such a platform. Imran Khan stated, "Initiatives to discover and nurture the next generation of filmmaking talent are sorely needed, and I am thrilled to support the HOC Film fund.”

Calling the co-production fund a “logical next step”, Arati Kadav said, “I am excited to see the young voices and stories I will meet through this venture and I hope this goes from strength to strength in the coming years, where we will see many brilliant and radical voices finding support in this ecosystem.”

Aseem Chhabra added, “This will be a great opportunity for a young filmmaker who is keen to make their first feature and take it to an international festival. Such endeavors are essential if we want to take Indian cinema to the next level in the global market.”

Harshit Bansal emphasized that the country does not lack talent, but rather the avenues to turn scripts into reality. “Our intention is to find the next distinct filmmaking voice from the country, & offer them the financial, production & industry support they need to not just make their films, but also to help them find the right festival & distribution support.

"We feel fortunate that Shaunak Sen & Vishal Bhardwaj have joined our initiative as mentors, with Shaunak also being attached to the selected project as an Executive Producer. Their support & insights will be invaluable for the selected filmmaker as well as us. We’re also grateful to Shaunak’s production company, Kiterabbit Films, for offering us crucial support for this initiative, and to our jury members who are lending their expertise out of their sheer goodwill and a passion to support good cinema,” he added.

The fund is open to all Indian citizens aged 18 and above who have directed at least two short films or one feature film. Interested applicants can submit their projects for a non-refundable fee of Rs 1499.
