Cannes 2024: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dons silver Falguni Shane Peacock gown with turquoise fringe hues; reunites with Eva Longoria at Kinds of Kindness premiere

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan continues to solidify her status as a Cannes Film Festival icon. This year marks her 22nd appearance at the prestigious event, and she hasn't missed a beat when it comes to captivating audiences with her stunning red carpet-looks. On Friday, she graced the red carpet for the second time at the 77th edition, dazzling in a dramatic ensemble by Falguni Shane Peacock.

The silver outfit, accented with turquoise hues, cascaded around her in a display of both elegance and drama. Soft curls cascading down her shoulders completed the picture-perfect look. Though not many were happy with her outfit choice, it seems like the actress carried the look with grace.

But beyond the breathtaking outfits, Rai Bachchan's presence at Cannes extends to heartwarming reunions with fellow celebrities. This year, she was brought face-to-face with another L'Oreal ambassador and actress, Eva Longoria. The two veterans of the Cannes red carpet happily reunited at the screening of Kinds of Kindness, delighting photographers with their radiant smiles. This isn't their first encounter at Cannes; Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Longoria were also spotted together at the festival and a L'Oreal event in 2022.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s most recent project was Mani Ratnam's historical epic, Ponniyin Selvan 2 which was released last year to critical acclaim and box office success. The film boasted an ensemble cast, including Trisha, Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
