Varun Dhawan kicks off shoot for Atlee's next; video from the sets goes viral
While fans of Atlee are eagerly anticipating the release of the much talked about Jawan, starring megastar Shah Rukh Khan along with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, director of the film Atlee is expected to have moved on to his next project, featuring Varun Dhawan. After exploring the South space and working with superstars like Thalapathy Vijay, Atlee has currently turned his attention towards Bollywood. In fact, we hear that the filmmaker has already started work on his next, which will be directed by South filmmaker Kalees.
In a video, which has been doing the rounds on social media after a paparazzo account posted the same, Varun Dhawan was seen warmly greeting several people as he arrived on the sets, which are said to be mounted for Varun’s upcoming venture. Not too long ago it was reported that the film will also feature Mahanati fame South actress Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles. While the film is yet to be titled, it is currently being referred to as VD18.

In an earlier report by Pinkvilla, a source was quoted about the film going on floors, wherein it was said, “Varun will be shooting for the film’s promo in Mumbai and will be combining the schedule with a few important sequence shoots as well. The preparation is going on in full swing, while the makers are also simultaneously working on the plan to officially announce the movie with the promo. It will be an entertaining promo packed with action and drama and will feature VD in a never seen before avatar.”
Produced by Murad Khetani & Priya Atlee and presented by Atlee, VD18 is said to be action entertainer that is slated for release worldwide on May 31, 2024.
