Ranveer Singh celebrates craftsmanship of the Bunkar community; addresses "every youth of India" in a powerful message

Actor Ranveer Singh recently turned heads as he took center stage at a special fashion event as the showstopper in Varanasi. The show aimed to shine a spotlight on the rich tapestry of Varanasi's handicrafts and handlooms, particularly the long-forgotten Banarasi weaves.  As Ranveer walked down the runway, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Namo Ghat, he epitomized the grandeur and style of the collection designed by Manish Malhotra.

Dressed in a regal ensemble featuring a resplendent purple and gold brocade kurta, pehle dhoti, and dupatta. Ranveer Singh exuded his signature captivating powerhouse aura. The intricate craftsmanship of the Banarasi weave woven into his attire showcased not only the rich textile history of Banaras but also exemplified the seamless blend of tradition and modernity.

Sharing his thoughts as he immersed himself in the spiritual spirit of Varanasi, Ranveer said, “I want to address every youth of India to take pride in the rich cultural heritage of our great nation. As I said, we celebrate our past and our roots, we thrive into the present and March on towards the future with purpose and intent. This is a very significant month and I want to appeal to all the youth of this generation, not to lose sight of your responsibility. You are the present and the future of our country, so take these responsibilities that lie with you and certainly go out and about."

In addition to this, he also treated his fans and followers on social media with a bunch of self-portraits. In the caption, he writes “Showcasing the timeless elegance and exquisite artistry of Banarasi handlooms at the historic Namo Ghat in Kashi celebrating the masterful craftsmanship of the Bunkar community- the pride of India’s textile legacy @narendramodi @manishmalhotra05."
