Nora Fatehi calls out actors for running paid PR campaigns against her: “Stay in your lane and be respectful”

Nora Fatehi recently spoke about how certain actors tried to sideline her using paid PR strategies. Speaking to BBC Asian Network, she revealed that some actors paid their agencies to compare their performances with hers, claiming they had replaced her. Nora recalled confronting one such actor, warning them to stay in their lane. She also shared how she overcame an ankle injury and made a strong comeback with her dance performance in Honey Singh’s music video, ‘Payal.’

Nora Fatehi on Actors Using Her Name for Publicity During the interview, Nora stated that several actors have attempted to build their careers by using her name. She claimed that some even paid PR agencies to circulate narratives about her being replaced. “They would go and pay their PR agencies and ask them to put their and my picture together with the caption, ‘Nora is done. I am the new Nora.’ Don’t do that. That’s ridiculous. Just because I don’t have anyone to call you and ask you not to do that, doesn’t mean that you can ride over me. Stay in your lane and be respectful,” she said. Confronting an Actor Over Industry Rivalry Nora also spoke about confronting an actor who had been spreading false narratives behind her back. “I do confront them sometimes. I confronted a girl who was talking about me. I will not be a pushover or a doormat,” she stated. The ‘Dilbar’ star acknowledged the competitive nature of the industry, saying, “Everyone is trying to take everyone down.” She pointed out that while people appear friendly on the surface, they often work secretly to replace others. Making a Strong Comeback After an Injury Continuing further, Nora shared how she fought back after an ankle injury. At a time when rumors about her decline were circulating, she was determined to prove them wrong. “When I was sitting with the ankle injury and reading that Nora is done, I was like okay, wait till my ankle is healed. Let me show you,” she said. Despite not being fully recovered, she performed in ‘Payal’ to send a message that she was far from being replaced. Betrayal by an Audition Agency Nora also recalled an incident where she was misled by an agency during an audition process. She revealed that the agency strung her along for months, making her believe she was being considered for a role, while secretly locking another actress for the same part. “They told me they hadn’t heard back, but then they got another girl locked for that part,” she said. Frustrated by the experience, she ultimately decided to leave the agency.

Speaking of the professional front, lately, Nora has been seen in a bunch of music video, while her last theatrical release was Madgaon Express.
