The film's teaser-trailer provides a glimpse into the gritty world it portrays. Alia Bhatt's character is introduced as a woman facing adversity, her family torn apart by tragedy. The film also stars Vedang Raina. Under the helm of director Vasan Bala, Jigra is a collaborative effort by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Somen Mishra.
