IIFA 2024: Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal entertain audience with their dance on ‘Oo Antava’; recreate the iconic song ‘Mere Mehboob’

Dunki co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal took the IIFA 2024 stage by storm in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The quick wit and charm of the megastar combined with elements of goofy humour as he is accompanied by the versatile Vicky Kaushal, created several memorable moments in the award ceremony, many of which left the audience in splits. The duo also performed on several dance numbers during their hosting stint including the famous Pushpa song ‘Oo Antava’ and the song ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’.

Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal recreated the Samantha Ruth Prabhu item number from the Allu Arjun action-drama Pushpa: The Rise in a rather humourous manner. The two actors showcased their goofy side as they added some quirky steps to the sensational dance number ‘Oo Antava’.

Meanwhile, audiences were thrilled to see ‘Babloo’ and ‘Akhil’ come together for ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’. For the unversed, the song is a common aspect for both Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal. It was recreated for the latter’s movie Bad Newz where Vicky was seen with Triptii Dimri in 2024. However, the song originally belonged to the 1998 film Duplicate and was picturized on Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Sonali Bendre.

Other than this, the actors also shook a leg to Vicky Kaushal’s chartbuster song ‘Tauba Tauba’ as well as ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ from Pathaan where they were also joined by filmmaker Karan Johar.

For the unversed, IIFA which was held on September 28 saw a wide array of celebrities from superstars to the younger generation of stars who were honored for their recent performances. Shah Rukh Khan too bagged the award for Best Actor for his performance as Vikram/Azad Rathod in Jawan.
