Curiosity peaked when Karan Johar inquired about Aditya's feelings regarding Kartik Aaryan taking over in Aashiqui 3. In response, Aditya Roy Kapur graciously remarked, “I think he’s the perfect person to take the baton forward. There was no chance I could be in this because, in the second part, my character went for a long swim, from which he is not returning. I think it’s great. I died; where will I come back now? My spirit will come back.”

Injecting humour into the exchange, Aditya jokingly contemplated returning as a spirit just to be a part of Aashiqui 3. Karan Johar chimed in, envisioning the comical scenario of Aditya's ghost haunting Kartik Aaryan for stepping into his renowned role.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan had previously disclosed the news of Aashiqui 3 on his Instagram handle, with Anurag Basu set to direct the film. The revelation added another layer to the narrative, promising an exciting chapter in the evolving landscape of Bollywood cinema.
