EXCLUSIVE: Genelia D'Souza talks about her role in Trial Period; says, “It's not like a typical mother”

In a recent interview, the talented actress Genelia D'Souza revealed exciting details about her latest film, Trial Period. The film revolves around the journey of this single mother, who is not only a homemaker but also embraces her role as a mother with confidence and grace. The story takes an intriguing turn when she crosses paths with PD, portrayed by the talented actor Manav Kaul, who plays the role of the “father on rent.” Their on-screen chemistry and interactions throughout the film add layers of emotion and depth to the narrative.

In an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, talking about her role in the film Genelia said, “So, it's the first time I'm playing a Bengali woman and I think more than a Bengali woman, I am playing a mother of a child, a single mother. It's not like a typical mother. It's not like someone who's only at home who's only doing this, like how we've always portrayed. This is about a single woman who's not sad about where she's from, what she's doing. She's very comfortable in the situation that she's in. Her entire journey of being a homemaker, being a mom; the fact that she meets PD (Manav Kaul) at some point, the father on rent and their interaction, their chemistry, their realization through this whole thing. So, I just think it is very well written as a character and as a story.”
