Koffee With Karan 8: Alia Bhatt gets irritated when asked about balancing career after embracing motherhood: “From what lens are you asking this question?”

On the latest episode of Koffee With Karan season 8, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt set the couch on fire! Alia was her candid best as she talked about several aspects of her life, career and embracing motherhood. During the conversation, Alia talked about how she gets frustrated when asked about balancing her career now that she is a mother and married.

Karan Johar pointed out that female actors are often asked about balancing careers when their male counterparts aren’t when they get married or welcome their child. In response, Alia Bhatt shared, “See, the balancing career irritates the life out of me.”

While Alia acknowledged that the majority were nice and kind in their questions, she recalled the amount of scrutiny she faced when she announced her pregnancy last year. She recalled how Kareena Kapoor Khan was promoting Laal Singh Chaddha and she was asked about Alia embracing motherhood at the peak of her career. Alia said, “What irritated me was from what lens are you asking this question that ‘Oh I'm a woman in a so to speak the peak of my career.’ I'm not saying this. You are saying this. I intend to act till I am 95. As long as I can walk.”
