Rajkummar Rao reacts to plastic surgery speculations with a smile, “Nice, log baat kar rahe hai”
Rajkummar Rao, whose film Bheed was recently released, addressed the rumors claiming that he had undergone plastic surgery. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Rajkummar was asked the question. In response, the actor revealed that he finds it amusing and can't help but smile whenever he reads or hears about such speculations. “Nahi bhaiyya, koi plastic surgery nahi hue (No, there was no plastic surgery),” the actor replied before adding, “Kuch nahi smile aati hai chehre pe. Nice, log baat kar rahe hai (Nothing, I just smile. People are speaking).” Previously, the Ludo actor also spoke about how his appearance led to him being turned down for roles in the film industry. In a previous interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rajkummar had spoken about the comments he used to receive on his appearance during the start of his career. He had said, “Of course I was told so many things. You are not tall enough, your built is not right, your eyebrows are not in a certain shape and very weird things. And I was like what, what about acting? That’s the thing which will take you forward and nothing else. Eventually, the talent stays and nothing else remains.” Starring Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Pankaj Kapur and Dia Mirza, Bheed is about the hardships faced by a section of the people because of the lockdown imposed in 2020 to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Interestingly, the film has been shot in a black and white format by Anubhav Sinha. Bheed is now playing in theaters near you.
