Power dressing has moved beyond the boardroom to find a stronghold in Bollywood, reshaping the narrative of women’s style on and off the screen. Traditionally defined by sharp, tailored silhouettes, power dressing has become the epitome of strength, authority, and independence in the world of fashion. Bollywood’s leading ladies are embracing this aesthetic with unique, individualized twists, transforming it into a statement of empowerment. From structured suits to contemporary blazers, these style mavens are redefining what it means to dress for power in the 21st century.

The Evolution of Power Dressing in Bollywood

For decades, Bollywood fashion was synonymous with ethereal sarees, heavily embellished lehengas, and glamorous gowns. While those styles continue to dominate, the rising trend of power dressing signifies a larger cultural shift. Actresses are no longer confined to being just fashion icons; they are producers, entrepreneurs, and activists. Power dressing reflects these evolving roles, helping them visually assert their dominance in an industry that has historically been male-centric.

This trend also represents a rebellion against rigid gender norms. By adopting styles historically associated with men - like tailored suits and tuxedos - Bollywood’s women are reclaiming these silhouettes and reshaping them to reflect their identity. Power dressing has become a tool to challenge stereotypes and symbolize ambition, leadership, and confidence.

Why Bollywood Stars Are Embracing Power Dressing

Power dressing offers more than just aesthetic appeal; it’s a multi-dimensional approach to fashion with numerous benefits:

Projecting Authority: A sharply tailored suit conveys confidence and establishes a commanding presence. Whether at press events or award functions, Bollywood stars leverage power dressing to own the room.

Breaking Barriers: Adopting corporate-inspired fashion allows actresses to shatter traditional gender norms and send a clear message about equality and independence.

Versatility with Style: Power dressing is inherently adaptable. Stars like Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor pair tailored blazers with everything from sleek trousers to corsets and crop tops, creating looks that range from formal to edgy.

Individual Expression: Bollywood actresses use power dressing as a canvas to express their unique identities. From bold pastel suits to embellished blazers, these looks exude creativity and personal style.

Cultural Resonance: Power dressing resonates with contemporary audiences, especially young women, as a reflection of their aspirations for independence and leadership.

Breaking Down the Power Dressing Looks

The recent visuals of Bollywood stars perfectly encapsulate the versatility and allure of power dressing:

Alia Bhatt: The pastel yellow suit paired with a black inner layer radiates optimism and confidence. Alia’s minimal accessories and soft waves keep the look fresh and approachable.

Ananya Panday: A double-breasted pinstripe suit in muted grey with a satin tie takes cues from classic menswear. The statement ear cuff and sleek hair add a contemporary, feminine edge.

Esha Gupta: A pastel green co-ord set paired with a structured bralette is a masterclass in fusing power dressing with sultry undertones. The vibrant color choice makes the look modern and bold.

Janhvi Kapoor: The all-black power suit paired with a corset elevates a traditional suit into high-octane glam. The sharp tailoring and gold accents add a touch of luxe.

Kareena Kapoor Khan: A plum-hued suit is a study in sophisticated minimalism. Kareena’s sleek bun and subtle jewelry keep the focus on the rich tones and impeccable tailoring.

Kiara Advani: A soft beige three-piece suit styled with a pearl choker blends traditional elegance with contemporary power dressing. The muted tones create a balanced and sophisticated look.

Kriti Sanon: Taking denim to new heights, Kriti styles a denim-on-denim blazer and corset ensemble with chain necklaces for an edgy, urban take on power dressing.

Rani Mukerji: A deep olive-green suit with asymmetrical cuts embodies understated elegance. Rani’s pulled-back hair and soft glam makeup make this look timeless and commanding.

The Bollywood Twist to Power Dressing

What makes power dressing in Bollywood distinct is its ability to merge the corporate aesthetic with Indian sensibilities. Designers often add unexpected details - like bold colors, rich textures, or statement accessories - that elevate traditional suits into works of art. Experimentation is key, with stars embracing everything from oversized blazers to deconstructed silhouettes.

Moreover, power dressing in Bollywood isn’t afraid to flirt with femininity. While traditional menswear-inspired suits exude strength, stars soften these looks with jewel-toned hues, embellishments, and glamorous makeup. The result is a perfect blend of power and allure.

The Cultural and Social Impact

This shift towards power dressing reflects the changing dynamics of Bollywood and Indian society. Actresses are no longer confined to traditional roles, both on-screen and in life. Power dressing embodies this evolution, giving women a tool to visually assert their influence.

For audiences, especially young women, these bold fashion choices serve as an inspiration to embrace their strength and individuality. By sporting structured suits and tailored blazers, Bollywood’s leading ladies are sending a strong message: power dressing is not just a trend - it’s a movement.

A Tailored Future

As Bollywood continues to embrace power dressing, the trend will only grow stronger, showcasing the versatility and dynamism of modern women. Whether it’s the bold hues of Alia Bhatt’s pastel suit or the sleek glamour of Janhvi Kapoor’s corseted blazer, power dressing is a testament to the evolving narrative of women’s empowerment in fashion. It’s not just about wearing a suit; it’s about wearing strength, confidence, and individuality. Bollywood’s leading ladies are redefining the rules of style, one tailored silhouette at a time.

Actor Ravi Dubey has officially confirmed his involvement in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated cinematic adaptation of Ramayana. In an exclusive chat with Cine Connect, Dubey shared his excitement about being part of the ambitious project and his admiration for co-star Ranbir Kapoor.

A Sincere Retelling of a Timeless Epic Speaking about his role in Ramayana, Ravi said, “With due permission from my makers, I am [a part of the film]. I think Nitesh sir has a plan on how they want to talk about this project. If I kind of blurt out things irresponsibly and frivolously, it would not be right.”

He stated the cultural significance of Ramayana and the responsibility that comes with retelling such an important story. “It’s an important story for all of us. The story has been told and retold in many ways, but being a part of this culture and heritage is very special. We are collectively making a sincere attempt, and with someone as sincere as Nitesh sir helming it, it’s bound to be extraordinary,” he added. Praising Ranbir Kapoor’s Grace and Professionalism Ravi Dubey also shared his experience working alongside Ranbir Kapoor, describing him as the "elder brother" he never had. “Ranbir is kind, warm, and the most immaculate professional I have ever met. This is my very first experience on a big film set and my first experience working alongside a megastar like Ranbir bhai.”

I read somewhere on Instagram in a post by Karan Johar that Ranbir doesn’t make his process conspicuous. He’s working so hard behind the scenes, but he never makes it look like he is. Every part of him is an artist. He’s the only commercially viable artist of this generation.” The Buzz Around Ramayana Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is one of the most eagerly awaited projects in Bollywood. The much-awaited film Pushpa 2 – The Rule has finally released today and as expected, has taken an earth-shattering start in various languages across the country. The excitement was tremendous as Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 (2021), the first part, had emerged as a sleeper super-hit at the box office in its Hindi version. It also has wide viewership on television and on OTT, making it clear that Pushpa 2 – The Rule will go anywhere once it is released. The belief was that the second part would be the last part of the series. But it has now come to light that it’s not the case.

Pushpa 2 – The Rule ends at a significant note and this is followed by the title announcement of the next part - Pushpa 3 – The Rampage. The second part is expected to have a very positive word of mouth, going by the early reactions and hence, the audience would be happy to know that the journey of the protagonist, Pushpa Raj, doesn’t end with the sequel. As a result, Pushpa 3 – The Rampage is already the most awaited film of Indian cinema.

When Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 was about to release, the makers of course assured that a sequel was in the offing but they never unveiled its name during the marketing campaign. It's only when the moviegoers ventured out to see the film that they learned that the sequel is named Pushpa 2 – The Rule. Before the sequel’s name was announced, the makers, in a witty move, instead of mentioning ‘The End’ put ‘2nd Interval’ on the screen! The words ‘2nd Interval’ then disappeared and 2 remained and it got added to the title of the sequel. It was a small but innovative strategy and was well received. Something of this sort, however, wasn’t done with the announcement of Pushpa 3 – The Rampage. Nevertheless, the purpose is served.

Pushpa 2 – The Rule stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles and is directed by Sukumar.

Last week, on Thursday, November 28, Bollywood Hungama was one of the first ones to inform readers about the cut list of Pushpa 2 – The Rule’s original Telugu version. Bollywood Hungama now brings exclusive news of the censor process of the Hindi version of arguably the most awaited film of the year.

Today, December 3, the Central Board of Film Certificate passed the Hindi version but with a few cuts. The word 'Ramavatar' was removed and it was replaced with 'Bhagwan'. The word 'Haraam zaada' was excised three times. It was replaced with 'Haraamkhor' in all three places. There is a dialogue, unspecified in the cut list, and it was changed into Hindi.

Then the scene of an amputated leg flying was asked to be removed. The same scene was also present in the original Telugu version and even there, it was censored. Finally, mandatory anti-smoking warnings were inserted in smoking scenes.

The original Telugu version of Pushpa 2 – The Rule was passed on November 28. For this version, the Examining Committee of the CBFC asked the makers to delete the word ‘r***i’ in three places. Similarly, the words ‘Denguddi’ and ‘Venkateshwar’ were also asked to be excised. Apart from the amputated leg scene, the protagonist is seen holding a severed arm of a person. Here, the CBFC asked the makers to zoom in on the protagonist so that the violent bit is not shown on the screen.

Both the Hindi and the Telugu versions of Pushpa 2 – The Rule have been passed with a U/A certificate and are 200.38 minutes long. Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, this action entertainer releases in cinemas on December 5. It is directed by Sukumar and its earlier part, Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01 (2021), was a surprise super hit in Hindi. The film was also widely consumed in Hindi and Telugu. Usha Uthup will be singing live at the NH7 Weekender, which will be held on December 14 and 15, 2024 in Pune. The legendary singer stands out as she has a sprawling fan following across all age groups and every single time, she excites the audience with her live performances, leaving them wanting for more. Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke to Usha Uthup about NH7 Weekender and a lot more.

Belated Happy Birthday! How was your birthday celebration? This year actually, I didn’t have much of a celebration. I went to my studio in the morning. Most importantly, my daughter came down from Cochin, as did my grandson and my son-in-law, for my birthday, which was lovely. My son is here with me in Kolkata. It was nice that they were here. But there was also a huge amount of sadness because I had just lost my husband. So, we weren't celebrating or anything like that. But since they were here, it was heartening. I went to the studio and my studio technicians and everybody in the studio got together and gave me a lovely cake. I bought some patties and other snacks for them to eat. Hence, it was a great morning that I spent with my studio people and the technicians. And then of course the rest of the day was with the family which was also lovely. I thank God, and I am full of gratitude for every moment that He gives us which is so much better than so many people we know.

How was 2024 for you? Did it become extra special because of the Padma Bhushan honour? It was so wonderful because my husband also came to Delhi with me; the whole family was there. It was so marvellous; we all enjoyed basking in the glory of Rashtrapati Bhavan, which was truly marvellous. I would like to thank my country, government and all the people who recognize my work. You know when you work without expecting anything in return, it’s wonderful. Having said that, I would also like to say that one has to work with a passion and a focus, that – this is what you want out of your music – to prove to yourself what you believe in. Music has no barriers, caste, gender, colour, creed, language, age or sex. That's what makes it so wonderful. Despite having no formal musical training or background at all, I have been able to work on different kinds of projects.  Through music, the work has brought a smile to someone’s face, and I think people recognize that and appreciate that.

Your live performances are exciting and it charges up the attendees every single time. What's the secret? - My secret every time is to reinvent. Even when I sing songs like ‘Dum Maro Dum’, ‘Darling’ or ‘Koi Yahan Nache Nache’, 3 million times, the 3 million and the first time that I would sing it, would be really different. As I’ve said before, music is not my business, communication is. I am always trying to look for better ways to communicate to you and send you my feelings, all the way.

What are your expectations from NH7 Weekender? Which songs can we expect you to perform on? It's going to be a mixed bag, and depending on the kind of crowd we see finally. They can definitely expect something in English and Hindi. I will do something in Marathi since we are in Pune. That will be really exciting and whatever other languages that people want to listen to, I will sing.

NH7 Weekender is quite talked about and one of the most awaited events of the year. What makes it so special not just for artists but also for fans, in your opinion? I think, under one name of NH7, you have so many artists coming together from different parts of India and now globally as well. That is very wonderful and it really kindles the fire within the fans. As far as I am concerned, I am really excited to be a part of this because this is something completely different. We’ve done other music festivals in different cities, but NH7 for me is the closest to being a cracker of a show.

You said that you'd love Vidya Balan or Bhumi Pednekar for your biopic. Vidya has always maintained that she's excited to bag the coveted part. Have you tried to get any filmmaker to make a film on your life? Yes, some producers have asked her. But at the moment, nothing is happening because the market is really tight. They are waiting for the right time to make it happen.

Your stint on Instagram has been loved, especially your rendition of Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ and Adele’s ‘Skyfall’. Has social media proved to be a boon for you? I feel wonderful. It's been worth it. I always say that music has no barriers. What is Miley Cyrus’s age, where am I and what am I singing and what is the youth thinking, youth who will be coming to NH7, all responsible citizens of India and how they would be reacting to someone who is singing ‘Ramba Ho’ and shifting to ‘Flowers’ at the next moment. It is quite fascinating.

It is often said that songs nowadays don't have that lasting and pleasing effect like the songs of 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and even 2000s. Do you agree and what's your take? My take is that retro is where it is at. For any song to become a classic, you have to give it time. For example, the times when classics like 'Eena Meena Deeka' and 'Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu' were made, why is it that all the kids know them even today? It is because they were given the time. It’s been 40-50 years since I sang 'Ramba Ho' and more. Just give it the time that is needed, and it will become a classic. Even now, there is wonderful music being made, wonderful lyrics being written, great singers singing the songs, and great technology at their disposal. But the good will remain, and the bad or mediocre will be shifted out.

When can we see you singing and acting for a Hindi film again?  I am waiting for two-three things that have come up. I recently sang for Lucky Bhaskar starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. Also, in terms of when I will be coming in any film, well I am dying for it to happen too!

Actor-comedian Vir Das made history as the first Indian to host the prestigious International Emmy Awards 2024. Days after the event, Das shared highlights from his witty and thought-provoking opening monologue, which took humorous jabs at Hollywood, America, and Elon Musk, while paying tribute to Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan.

A Historic Moment for Vir Das Vir Das returned to the International Emmys stage after winning his first Emmy last year for his Netflix special Vir Das: Landing. Reflecting on his hosting duties, Das called it a “deeply personal and exhilarating moment,” adding, “The Emmys are a celebration of diverse stories from around the world. Having won an Emmy last year, I feel a profound connection to this event.”

Das opened his monologue with a cheeky reference to immigration: “It is very good to be here completely legally. I’m not a citizen. It’s a very quick visit, in and out. I was just here to vote.” Hollywood and Its Stereotypes Das humorously addressed Hollywood’s tendency to typecast Indian actors: “Any Indian character in Hollywood is named ‘Raj.’ I’ve been offered Dr Raj, Lawyer Raj, Banker Raj, and Engineer Raj. I once even got a guy from England literally named British Raj. I didn’t take the part. I want to keep my diamonds.”

He also commented on Hollywood’s penchant for remaking international stories: “We tell the original diverse international stories that Hollywood remakes into cash cows with Kevin Hart and Liam Neeson.” Sarcasm for America and Elon Musk Das’s monologue included sharp commentary on America and tech mogul Elon Musk. On Musk: “Elon Musk is a legend. Technically, it’s self-driving, but ultimately, I have control.” He also joked: “Keep Elon Musk happy. He’ll buy your platform and turn it into a podcast.” On American politics, Das quipped: “Please do not say anything divisive, offensive, or inflammatory. This is America, and you’ll be elected. Sorry. Ejected.” Shah Rukh Khan's Iconic Dialogue Vir Das referenced Shah Rukh Khan’s famous line from Baazigar: “‘Haar ke jeetne wale ko Baazigar kehte hain.’ It means learning to conquer loss is the greatest victory of all.” Das humorously added: “The guy who said that in the movie brutally murdered four people. That may be you at the afterparty. Just murder within your category.”

After the massive success of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020), actor-producer Ajay Devgn and director Om Raut are reportedly planning a sequel centered on India’s unsung heroes. Sources reveal that Devgn is eager to cast Hrithik Roshan in a significant antagonist role, making it a potentially groundbreaking collaboration in Indian cinema. Yes, you read it right!

Plans for a Film Franchise on Unsung Heroes If a report by Mid-Day is something to go by, then Ajay Devgn envisioned creating a franchise celebrating India's forgotten warriors. Although delayed due to other commitments, the project appears to be gaining momentum. Recent meetings between Devgn and Raut at the actor’s office suggest discussions have restarted on the sequel.

Initially, the duo planned to bring the story of Maratha general Baji Prabhu Deshpande to the screen, who is known for his valor in the Battle of Pavan Khind (1660). Baji Prabhu sacrificed his life defending Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. However, the release of the Marathi film Pawankhind (2022), which explored the same subject, led to a re-evaluation of their approach.

“The talks are still at the nascent stage,” shared a source close to the development. “They haven’t entirely scrapped the idea of a Baji Prabhu biopic, but they are also considering other Maratha heroes. A lot of research and groundwork for this film had already been completed.” Hrithik Roshan as the Antagonist While Ajay Devgn is set to reprise the lead role, he is keen to bring Hrithik Roshan on board as the antagonist. This casting would mark the first collaboration between the two superstars. “Ajay feels Hrithik has tremendous screen presence and charisma,” the insider revealed. “Couple that with his acting prowess, and he would be a towering rival to Ajay’s character. If things align, this dynamic will be one of the highlights of the sequel.”

Sharad Kelkar, who portrayed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Tanhaji, is expected to reprise the role in the sequel. Kelkar’s portrayal of the revered king in the original was met with widespread acclaim.

Arjun Kapoor believes the notion that he is the one looking after his sisters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, is inaccurate. In an interview with Galatta Media, he revealed that there were times when they supported him and helped him navigate through his vulnerable moments.

In the interview, Arjun Kapoor spoke about his bond with his sisters. He said, “They both have been really solid behind me, and I know it sounds like I am the brother who is taking care of them and all that. It’s not always like that. There are moments where you are also vulnerable. Janhvi has seen that vulnerable side of me. You question life, you question choices, you question is it all worth it, you question what will happen because you have to realise that negativity is a constant in our profession. It’s just that the volume of it sometimes reaches a point where your head just wants to explode.”

Arjun Kapoor revealed that Janhvi has witnessed his vulnerable moments and supported him during challenging times. Janhvi and Khushi are his step-sisters from Boney Kapoor's marriage to Sridevi.

Discussing his relationship with Janhvi and Khushi, Arjun Kapoor said, “I am better off for having Janhvi and Khushi in my life. I love them a lot. I care for them a lot and I am so glad that they are doing well and I am happy to say that they are very well brought up kids.”

During the interview, Janhvi joined the conversation via call and spoke about Arjun. She mentioned witnessing him “waiting in the wings these past two years” and acknowledged that his journey hasn’t been easy. Janhvi praised Arjun for maintaining a brave front and expressed her pride in him and his journey.

Arjun Kapoor is currently receiving praise for his role as the antagonist in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. The multi-starrer, which released on Diwali, has performed well at the box office.

Arjun Kapoor delved into a darker realm with his portrayal of Danger Lanka, the chief antagonist in Singham Again. His character was described as a modern-day Ravana from the Ramayana, pitted against Ajay Devgn’s Lord Rama-inspired portrayal.

The film also features Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh reprising their roles as Veer Sooryavanshi and Simmba, respectively, along with Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff in pivotal roles.

The industry and fans are gearing up for the release of Pushpa 2 – The Rule on December 5 and the excitement is tremendous. This is because Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01, which was released on December 17, 2021, was a sleeper super-hit. The film continues to remain memorable and the lead character has earned a sizable fan following. The first part was released in Hindi by Manish Shah of Goldmines Telefilms. Both Manish Shah and the franchise benefited hugely from each other and it was expected that the makers will continue their partnership with Goldmies for Pushpa 2 – The Rule as well. Shockingly, that hasn’t happened.

A trade source told Bollywood Hungama why Goldmines Telefilms is not associated with Pushpa 2 – The Rule, “The producers, Mythri Movie Makers, had certain differences with Goldmines. Manish Shah acquired the Hindi dubbed version of Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 for around Rs. 30 crores on MG. Back in the day, everyone in the industry felt that the amount would be impossible to recover. But Manish Shah earned nearly Rs. 55 crores from the theatrical earnings while another approx. Rs. 40-45 crores from the sale of digital and satellite rights. The total revenue from all fronts is around Rs. 100 crores.”

The source continued, “Mythri Movie Makers asked Manish Shah for a share in the revenues of theatrical and digital and TV rights. However, the Goldmines owner declined the request as legally, he was not bound to do so. The team at Mythri tried to convince him but Manish Shah remarked that it was thanks to his efforts and quality dubbing efforts that the Hindi version became so huge. Hence, he was justified in keeping his share to himself.”

The source added, “Due to this episode, Mythri Movie Makers decided to terminate their partnership with Goldmines Telefilms for Pushpa 2 – The Rule.”

Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 tells the story of a labourer working for the red sandalwood smuggling mafia. Slowly, he rises up the ranks and ends up controlling the syndicate. The first part ends with the smuggler’s arch-nemesis swearing revenge. The sequel takes the story forward from where Part 1 ended. It stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles.

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha have frequently inspired their fans with their thoughtful gestures promoting 'equality' in their relationship. From Rajkummar requesting Patralekha to apply sindoor on him during their wedding, to touching her feet on Karwachauth, their actions have often made headlines. Recently, Rajkummar shared the reasoning behind asking his wife to apply sindoor on him at their wedding, a ritual typically performed by the groom on the bride's forehead.

In a candid interview with journalist Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, Stree 2 actor Rajkummar Rao shared the thought process behind his meaningful gesture. He explained that he noticed Patralekha wearing traditional bridal items like sindoor, mangalsutra, and chooda, while he only wore a ring.

This observation led him to reflect on the concept of ‘equality’ in their relationship. “At that moment, it was very impulsive. I thought, why is it just her wearing the sindoor, mangalsutra, and chooda? She had to do so much, and I was just wearing a ring. I told her, You should also put sindoor on me. It should be equal,” he said.

Patralekha was deeply touched by the thoughtful gesture from Rajkummar Rao, and the couple was overjoyed during the moment. However, they didn’t expect it to receive such widespread attention. Rajkummar explained, "She knows me well, so this was something she expected from me. But I'm glad it touched so many hearts."

In addition to the meaningful ritual of applying sindoor on each other's foreheads, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha also asked the Pandit at their wedding to explain the significance of each mantra he recited, so they could fully understand and embrace them. Rajkummar shared a humorous moment from the ceremony and said, “There was one vachan that said she couldn't get angry at me. I immediately said, 'This one is not happening, it's not valid.'"

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha started dating in 2010 and got married in a private ceremony in Chandigarh on November 15, 2024.

On the work front, Rajkummar was last seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, where he starred alongside Triptii and Mallika Sherawat.

Ananya Panday, often in the news for her personal life, recently shared on Raj Shamani's podcast that she has been in a past relationship where she made significant changes to herself. However, she clarified that these changes never reached a negative point.

Ananya said, “I don’t think you see a red flag in a relationship immediately. When you are out of a relationship, at that time, you realise that it could have been done better. If I am in a relationship, I will do everything to figure it out and sort it out. I see the best in people and do my best and give it my all in a relationship, but I expect that from my partner also. For me, half-heartedness doesn’t work. If you are in a relationship, you have to show loyalty and respect.”

Ananya revealed that in the past, she had instances where she adjusted herself for her partner. When asked if she had ever compromised in a relationship, she added, “We all have a little bit. I have been in a relationship where I have changed myself a lot, but not to the point that it turned bad... You do things to impress in the beginning of a relationship and you don’t realise how much you are changing for your partner.”

Ananya shared her perspective on romance, saying it involves "someone who listens to me" and emphasized the importance of support. She added that as a young and successful actor, her achievements can sometimes intimidate men, making it difficult for them to process.

On Ananya Panday’s birthday, Walker Blanco expressed his love with a heartfelt Instagram Story, writing, “Happy Birthday Beautiful!!! You are soooo special. I love you Annieee.”

The two were first seen together at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding in July. According to Bombay Times, Ananya introduced Walker as her “partner” at the event. A source revealed, “She wasn’t hiding it and even introduced him to everyone. They were seen dancing together during a romantic song. However, it’s still too new for them to make it official.”

On the work front, Ananya Panday was last seen in CTRL, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, where she played Nella, a social media influencer whose life unravels after using an AI to erase her cheating ex (Vihaan Samat) from her digital presence. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) again shared his admiration for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. In a candid conversation with Vanga at the Animal vs Wild Animal event, RGV expressed how the film's depiction of violence left a lasting impression on him.

Emotional Depth in Violence RGV praised the raw intensity of Animal, particularly highlighting the emotional depth behind its violent scenes. He said, "The violence was more impactful than seeing armies fighting each other." Drawing a parallel to his own work, RGV recalled narrating the concept of gritty violence to Nagarjuna during the making of Shiva. He stated that the emotional stakes in Animal, especially in scenes featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, made the action more resonant. Haunting Visuals and Direction Ram Gopal Varma admitted that certain scenes in Animal stayed with him long after watching the film. Salman Khan, the Bollywood actor, mentioned Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu during a conversation with Shilpa Shirodkar and others on the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 18. While discussing the contrast between an actor’s on-screen and off-screen persona, Salman Khan highlighted Mahesh Babu’s ability to stay grounded off-screen, despite his powerful on-screen presence.

Salman Khan said, “Shilpa [Shirodkar], your brother-in-law Mahesh Babu, on screen he is like that. But in real life he is not like that. Woh ek screen ka jo ek posture hain, ek jo bhagne ka style hain, ek action ka hain, ek look hain! Woh ek attitude dikhta hain. But real life main toh hain nahi! Simple sa aadmi hain, family man hain (He has a posture, a way of running, doing action… he has a look. He has an attitude. But not in real life, where he is a simple person, a family man).”

Shilpa couldn't conceal her pride and smiled as Salman spoke warmly about Mahesh Babu.

Shilpa's sister, Namrata Shirodkar, is married to Mahesh Babu, and the couple has been together for 19 years. While Mahesh and Namrata have kept their support for Shilpa private, the actress mentioned that they are proud of her and always stand by her.

In an interview with the Times of India in October, Shilpa Shirodkar shared, “Namrata and Mahesh are really happy for me. They are proud of me and they trust that whatever I do, I’ll do it on my own. I know I’ll make them proud. As a family, we are very close-knit, and they are incredibly supportive of me.”

Javed Akhtar has clarified his earlier blunt remarks about the blockbuster success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 2023 family crime drama Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. In an interview with Mojo Story, he explained that his comments were directed at the audience rather than the film itself.

“I did not opine on Animal, I opined on the audience. Honestly! I believe if 10-12-15 people have made a film with wrong values… if 10-12 people produce a song which is vulgar, crude, obscene… that's not the problem. If 15 out of 140 crore people are perverts or have wrong values, it's okay, doesn't matter. When that thing goes out in the market and becomes a superhit, that’s the problem,” Javed Akhtar explained.

When the veteran lyricist and screenwriter was asked why he thought Animal succeeded, he joked, “I think the basic title tells you why. The title is self-explanatory.” Earlier this year, Javed had mentioned at an event that although he hadn't seen Animal, he had heard about a controversial scene in which the male protagonist (Ranbir Kapoor) asks his love interest (Triptii Dimri) to lick his shoe to prove her love and loyalty. Javed remarked that the fact that Animal earned over ₹500 crore at the domestic box office only highlights how dangerous the society consuming such content has become.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Animal, took offense to Javed Akhtar's comments and suggested that the lyricist should watch the film first to understand its context. Sandeep also questioned Javed's hypocrisy, pointing out that his son, Farhan Akhtar, is a co-producer of the Prime Video India crime thriller Mirzapur, which is notorious for its use of obscene language.

In his response, Javed pointed out that Sandeep could only find a show produced—rather than directed or written—by his son's production house, Excel Entertainment, to call out his supposed hypocrisy. Javed further added that the fact that Sandeep couldn't find any instance of sexism or obscenity in his own extensive filmography or discography was, in fact, quite flattering.

In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Anshuman Mathur and Paritosh Gupta faced off in the Challenger's round, where Paritosh emerged victorious and claimed the hot seat.

He works as a consultant for a cybersecurity company and resides in a chawl measuring less than 100 square feet. He shared, “I lived there with my parents, and now I live there with my wife.”

“My dream is to buy a home, and I hope to achieve that with the prize money,” he said.

The game begins with Rs 20,000 question: In Mumbai, which of these names refers to both a railway station and a racecourse? A. Goregaon, B. Parel, C. Mahalakshmi, D. Dadar.

He correctly answers option C.

Big B talks about the racecourse and said that often people go there and get addicted.

Then he shares an interesting story and said, “I am saying all this because there was a time, when I used to work in Kolkata, there is also a race course. I used to earn Rs 300-400 but it was no enough for a living. I used to visit that race course in hope of earning from extra money. I would also share everything with my parents and I told them about my visit to the race course. They didn't say anything but I received a letter from my father and he wrote, 'dhan kop rapt karne ke liye jab tak khoon paseena na nikle usko prapt nahi karna chahiye'. It was his indication that I should never visit that place and I obeyed.”

He uses his first lifeline, the audience poll, for the ₹40,000 question and answers it correctly.

Big B then asks him about his dream home. He responds, “It takes at least ₹1 crore to buy a 1BHK, but I hope to win enough for the down payment.”

He uses the Video Call a Friend lifeline for the ₹3,20,000 question and successfully answers it. However, when he uses the same lifeline for the ₹6,40,000 question, he gives an incorrect answer.

Shriya Pilgaonkar, who has just returned from New Zealand where the Air Quality Index (AQI) was a perfect 1, expressed her shock upon learning about Delhi's deteriorating air quality. The actor emphasized that this is not the time to blame the government, but rather to take responsibility for the situation.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Shriya Pilgaonkar discussed her role as a goodwill ambassador for ALT EFF, as well as her concerns about climate change and the severe air quality crisis currently affecting Delhi. During the conversation, Shriya expressed her deep concern about the climate change that people are currently experiencing. She highlighted the worsening air quality in Delhi as a "red alert" signal, emphasizing the urgent need to address the issue. "The crazy part is that I was in New Zealand recently, where the AQI was 1... The air was so clean, and now to think that the air we're breathing here is so hazardous," Shriya shared. "Air is the most basic thing we need as citizens," she emphasized. The actor further added, "It's easy for people to put the blame on the government, but there are so many actions that we also need to take. We need to act collectively. That is when things will change." The Taaza Khabar actor expressed that the current situation deeply unsettles her. "It is very scary to me that we are breathing toxic air.... Especially post Diwali, things happen every year Now, I am concerned about how things will worsen in the time to come... We as a country need to come together and understand. Alors with government policy, we need to act. Because this is the most basic right of life... To breathe in air. We shouldn't wait for things to get worse before we take action." Regarding her role in driving change, the daughter of Sachin Pilgaonkar and Supriya Pilgaonkar emphasized that everyone has a significant part to play in bringing about change. The daughter of Sachin Pilgaonkar and Supriya Pilgaonkar believes that everyone has an important role to play in driving change and creating a positive impact. “Everything, even the smallest thing, matters. At the personal level, we need to figure out what we can do better. Can I use a wooden straw? How much plastic do I use? Instead of taking three cars, can I take one? The role we play as citizens, taking up the individual responsibility to do our best to live sustainably, adds up in the larger scheme of things," says Shrlya, adding, "It is better for our environment" Shriya admits she doesn't have a clear solution for the air quality crisis in Delhi, but encourages people to engage with environmental issues through film. "I don't understand what the solution can be with respect to what's happening in Delhi. But I think since we have film festivals focused on the environment, I would encourage people to expose their minds to what's happening in the world. We need to open our eyes and we need to watch films that will make us uncomfortable. And the point is to raise awareness about what's happening in the world.” Doing her part for the environment, Shriya is serving as a goodwill ambassador for the ALT EFF (All Living Things Environmental Film Festival). The ongoing festival, which will run across 40 cities in India until December 8, features an exciting lineup of films, workshops, and panel discussions aimed at fostering global dialogue on urgent environmental issues. "Before I started acting, I used to watch a lot of films at the Mumbai Film Festival. The reason I believe in the impact of certain festivals is that they truly broaden your mind with diverse stories and storytelling. The atmosphere at film festivals is incredibly nourishing. Diljit Dosanjh, who typically avoids controversies, found himself caught in one when the Telangana state government issued him a notice, warning him not to perform songs promoting alcohol and violence during his concert in Hyderabad. In response, the singer altered the lyrics of his songs while performing. After his Hyderabad show, while performing in Ahmedabad, Diljit addressed the legal notice. During his set, he clarified that he does not promote alcohol, and that only a few of his songs touch on the topic, which he can easily modify. Expressing his frustration over being singled out for this issue, he declared that if every state in India becomes alcohol-free, he would stop making songs about alcohol altogether.

The Chamkila star received backing from his fans when he openly expressed his feelings. Recently, his industry peer and close friend, Badshah, also came to his defense. During an appearance at the Aaj Tak event, Badshah criticized the apparent double standards, pointing out that while musicians are targeted, alcohol is readily available across the country. Reflecting on Diljit's comments, Badshah agreed with the artist's point of view. He said, "You are telling him not to sing or make songs about alcohol but then you're selling liquor everywhere. Why shouldn't they be made? An artist represents society and that's what makes them relevant and the reason why people love them. They speak about things that the whole world wants to say.” Badshah also acknowledged that the government might be dealing with certain challenges or issues that the public may not be aware of. However, he fully supported Diljit's stance and said, “If you don’t want him to sing about something, then that thing shouldn’t exist in society in the first place.” Badshah also spoke about the close personal relationship he shares with Diljit, describing him as an elder brother who has always supported and guided him through difficult times. He mentioned that Diljit has been a great source of inspiration to him, and he deeply values their bond.
