Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is currently stationed in Kashmir shooting for his next, Ground Zero. He is accompanied by Sai Tamhankar who will reportedly play his wife in the upcoming film. However, recent reports cited that the actor had suffered injuries due to stone pelting incident that allegedly took place at a nearby market. It was also claimed that an FIR was registered following the incident. Now, Emraan Hashmi has taken to social media to clarify and said that the people of Kashmir have been warm and welcoming.

Emraan Hashmi on Tuesday morning took to his official Twitter account to inform that the reports about his injuries are inaccurate. He also stated that shooting in Kashmir has been amazing, especially in Srinagar and Pahalgam. “The people of Kashmir have been very warm and welcoming, it has been an absolute joy shooting in Srinagar and Pahalgam. The news of me being injured in a stone pelting incident is inaccurate,” he wrote on Twitter.

In Ground Zero, Emraan Hashmi is reportedly essaying the role of an Army officer. The military drama also stars Zoya Hussain. The cast and crew recently wrapped their schedule in Srinagar and are currently stationed at Pahalgam. The film is being helmed by Tejas Deoskar, who is best known for Madhuri Dixit’s Marathi debut film Bucket List.

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi has an array of projects lined up, including Tiger 3 with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, the film will see Hashmi in the role of an antagonist. It is set for April 2023 theatrical release. Apart from this project, the actor is also starring in Selfiee along with Akshay Kumar. It is the Hindi remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Driving License and is slated for February 2023 release.

Prime Video on Monday announced that Purple Hearts breakout star Nicholas Galitzine will be seen next in The Idea of You in the role of Hayes Campbell, alongside Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway. The production of the Amazon Original movie will begin in October 2022.

The film, based on Robinne Lee’s bestselling eponymous contemporary novel based on Harry Styles, centers on Sophie (Hathaway), a 40-year-old divorced mother. Sophie’s husband Dan left her for a younger woman, and now he has cancelled his Coachella trip with their 15-year-old daughter. Sophie picks up the pieces and braves the crowds and desert heat. There, she meets 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), the lead singer of the best boy band on the planet, August Moon.

Michael Showalter will direct The Idea Of You. Academy Award-winning producer Cathy Schulman will produce the film via her Welle Entertainment label, joined by Gabrielle Union and Anne Hathaway via her Somewhere Pictures label. Robinne Lee, Eric Hayes, Michael Showalter, and Jordana Mollick. Jennifer Westfeldt wrote the screenplay and will executive produce. I’ll Have Another’s Kian Gass will also executive produce the project.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Galitzine will next be seen in Prime Video’s romantic comedy Red, White & Royal Blue, based on Casey McQuiston’s New York Times and USA Today best-selling novel of the same name and Bottoms from MGM’s Orion Pictures. He also recently starred as the male lead in Netflix’s Purple Hearts, alongside Sofia Carson, and as Prince Robert in Prime Video’s Cinderella, opposite Camila Cabello.

Hollywood actress Kate Winslet, who is filming for historical drama film Lee, was taken to the hospital after she suffered an accident while shooting in Croatia.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress was shooting her titular role in the historical drama film Lee when an on-set accident led to her being taken to a nearby hospital to ensure that she was OK. Winslet will resume filming this week as scheduled. “Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production,” her team said in a statement. “She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week.” The Oscar-winning actor has been attached to star in Lee since 2015, a feature that would have the actor portraying the World War II correspondent Lee Miller.

Kate Winslet will portray photographer Lee Miller in the film that focuses on her life, including her work as a war correspondent for Vogue during World War II. The drama is directed by Ellen Kuras and also stars Mario Cotillard, Jude Law, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Conner.

Known for her films in multiple languages, Regina Cassandra was recently seen in Saakini Daakini which is a remake of the South Korean action comedy Midnight Runners. But the Indian adaptation features an interesting twist. While the original film features two male leads, the remake features two female leads. Regina is seen sharing screen space with Nivetha Thomas for the first time and the trailer has received thumbs up from many. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, the actress spoke about films releasing on OTT and their impact on the Indian film industry.

Regina Cassandra, Nivetha Thomas starrer Saakini Daakini was released extensively in the South but when asked if it will receive the same treatment in other parts of the country, Regina spoke about how people often end up thinking that they will catch the film on OTT after a month. In fact, she also confirmed to Bollywood Hungama that Saakini Daakini will release on Netflix after a month. She said, “It will come on Netflix in a month.” She further added, “That’s what everyone's thing right now Everyone's like ‘arrey OTT pe toh aajayega’ (it will come on OTT).”

Talking about how it has affected box office collections and especially the producers and distributors, Regina added, “I know it definitely has affected collections. It has affected them way more than I thought it would or anyone thought it would. I would like to use that as a benchmark for good content. If your content is really good, people are going to flock to the theater to watch it. And I think we can use this as a benchmark for good content now and also that it's not going to be very easy to get people to the theater. Now, we should find strategies to figure out a way to get people to the theaters. We will have to work harder than we worked before.”

She also spoke about the extensive social media promotions she had to do for Saakini Daakini. “We've been at it. I've been on social media so much in the last one week. It is the most I've ever been in my life. I have been talking to people, doing interviews, promoting, tweeting, retweeting, posting, etc. It's been crazy, but we've just got to do it. Because if we want a theatrical release and a big one at that, then we've just got to push the envelope as much as we can,” she concluded.

So, he himself became like an A-lister with just that one announcement. I was doing bit roles at that time and I was doing South Indian films. I would say I was not feeling good about it" Karan questioned Anil, "Did you feel insecure about Jackie's success at that time?" To which, the actor candidly responded, "Well yeah. He became a huge, huge success."

In the same show, he also recalled the time when he was sitting on the sets with Jackie Shroff and how fans would flood around him to get an autograph. Anil revealed that he was happy to see so many people on the sets of his film but later realized that they had come to meet Jackie. But the actor was such a humble person that he asked Anil to sign their autograph books along with him.

Reacting to the comments made by Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff said in an interview with Times Now, “It is normal to look up to your older brother. But I know he is a guy who really, really cares for me deep down in his heart and what he says is such a beautiful emotional display which not many people say it. His heart is absolutely clean and he speaks what he feels. That gives me a lot of credit. When a man of his caliber says that, he is giving me so much respect."

Talking about the actor’s role in the film, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji recalled the times when he was assistant director to Ashutosh Gowariker when he was directing Swades in which Shah Rukh played the role of a NASA scientist named Mohan Bhargav. Retaining the nostalgic value, Ayan wanted Shah Rukh to reprise Mohan in Brahmastra too. Moreover, Ayan also has stated in the past that he would like to make a spin off film about the actor’s character and it will feature SRK in the lead.

Lately, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is making headlines as she is shooting for her upcoming film titled Emergency. From sharing the first-look poster of her co-stars to giving a peek into the behind-the-scene of the biopic, Ranaut is keeping her fans updated. Making another addition to her Emergency shooting diary, Kangana shared another post on Saturday.

However, the Panga actress’s caption left many from her Instagram fam lost in deep thought as she talked about the identity crisis while playing former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. While the first picture captured Ranaut as Indira Gandhi on the sets of Emergency, the second shot is a portrait of the actress. “Today is a break day, I don’t call it a break I call it a pause day”, wrote Kangana.

Welcome the new cameo kings: Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan. Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Jacqueline Fernandez have had the distinction of doing the maximum cameos / guest roles / special / friendly appearances in the past. The nomenclature varies as per the importance or length of the roles. Of late, it has also been the custom to just mention “Thanks, XYZ” or “Eternally grateful to Shah Rukh Khan” as in Brahmastra when stars do cameos. Yes, we will stick to the term “cameo” to describe any such non-leading role.

But, perhaps, never have superstars (or any star for that matter) done a hat-trick of cameos within five months in Ajay Devgn’s (November 2021 to March 2022) and SRK at the rate of a cameo a month between July and now! The nearest we had was Kareena Kapoor Khan doing two ‘song’ cameos in 2012—in Rowdy Rathore and Dabangg 2. But she also did four lead roles that year.

Significantly, none of these two actors have had a leading role release anywhere between the films featuring them in cameos!

Let us see why the two actors chose to do these roles.

Ajay Devgn:

Sooryavanshi: Rohit Shetty announced his own cop universe (India’s first) with Simmba in 2018, wherein Ajay, for the third time, portrayed Singham, his character in the franchise of that name, and Akshay Kumar was introduced in a fleeting cameo as ATS officer Sooryavanshi. Naturally, when Sooryavanshi was finally made and released on November 5, 2021, it featured both Ajay as Singham and Ranveer as Simmba in very entertaining appearances as the fiery cops. Of all these six cameos, this is the only character that will be seen again!

RRR: An intense freedom fighter—this role was probably written and designed by S.S. Rajamouli as a reciprocal gesture to Ajay Devgn for marketing and promoting the filmmaker’s 2012 masterpiece, Makkhi, in its dubbed Hindi version. The dour, gritty character was right up Ajay’s street though.

Gangubai Kathiawadi: Coincidentally also co-starring Alia Bhatt (though not romantically) like RRR, it had Ajay playing the Muslim don Rahim Lala who supports Gangubai like a brother. Sanjay Leela Bhansali brought back Ajay into his movie after his unforgettable turn in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), the filmmaker’s first hit.

Shah Rukh Khan:

Rocketry: This was actor R. Madhavan’s debut as a director—a biopic on the living legend, ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. The story focused on the scientist and the controversial part of his life when he was unjustly framed in an espionage case. Madhavan directed the film in flashback mode, with Shah Rukh Khan playing himself, as the celebrity who interviews the scientist on how his life was affected by the allegations. Suriya did the corresponding cameo in the Tamil version.

Laal Singh Chaddha: In this misfired Aamir Khan production, Shah Rukh again played himself. VFX and Prosthetics showed a young Shah Rukh interacting with Laal Singh in their youth, when SRK was also a struggling actor. Shah Rukh did the role as a gesture to Aamir, with whom he had shared cameos and a scene in Pehla Nasha (1993) at an early stage in their careers. Remarkably, that film had been directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, who also directed them in independent leads later.

Brahmastra: We use the word ‘remarkably’ as Ayan Mukerji, the director of this film, was assistant director and co-screenplay writer with Ashutosh on Swades (2004), which starred Shah Rukh Khan as NASA scientist Mohan Bhargava. Mohan leaves America and returns to India finally. And in this film, he plays a rather elongated cameo as the same character, scientist Mohan Bhargava. Mohan is now a part of Brahmansh, the group protecting the world against evil forces. And this has made SRK fans demand a film that shows his journey from his character in that film to show how he become a Brahmansh warrior!

The Thugs Of Hindostan actress shared a picture of the book, titled ‘Indira -The Life Of Indira Nehru Gandhi’, and wrote “Such an interesting book on her life. Half way through.. would highly recommend it”. She also shared a BTS picture of herself sitting in front of the mirror from the sets of the highly anticipated film Sam Bahadur and captioned “And here we go #SamBahadur”.

On the professional front, the 30-year-old actress was last seen in Modern Love: Mumbai in one of the tales 'Raat Rani', where her performance was highly appreciated. Meanwhile, the image took Ahuja down memory lane as he remembered that they clicked for the shot “right after” he spoke to Kapoor’s parents. Gauri Khan recently made her OTT debut as a host for a one-of-its-kind show based on interior designing called Dream Homes. We all know about her friendship with the ‘Bollywood Wives’ and of course, the owner of Dharma Productions, Karan Johar. During the second season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Gauri mentioned that when she told her mother about Shah Rukh Khan acting in the directorial debut of Karan Johar, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, she never believed the filmmaker and did not approve of the decision.

She said, “I told mom Shah Rukh is shooting for Karan’s film. She reacted, ‘Bilkul nahi, woh kabhi picture nahi bana sakta’. Only there was one person who always knew that he is a genius,” she continued it by pointing a finger at herself, asserting that she was the only one who fully trusted the filmmaker-producer.

Speaking of Dream Homes, the show will feature celebrity guests who will be coming to Gauri Khan to design a special kind of space for them and Khan will be exclusively designing as well as executing it. The teaser of the show features Manish Malhotra, Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Kabir Khan as some of the guests on the show.

Ajay Devgn and Kajol have an unconventional way of expressing their affection for one another. The power couple always supports one another in addition to being parents to their two kids. They often grab the opportunity to make fun of one another in amusing ways, and the latest video post on Ajay’s Instagram feed is proof of that.

Interestingly, on Friday, the Singham actor took to his verified social media handle featuring two videos, one from his last release Runway 34, and the second from Kajol starrer Tribhanga. In both snippets, the lead actors can be seen with a cigarette and the supporting character asking them not to smoke. Whereas, Ajay in Runway 34 and Kajol in Tribhanga gave a similar response.

Captioning the video, Devgn wrote, “Arey, @kajol beat me to it” along with a thinking emoji. However, wifey Kajol quipped, “Don’t worry…still not planning to take a drag”  in the comments section. Talking about their professional front, Ajay is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Thank God, also starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh. The comedy-drama is slated to release on October 24. Meanwhile, Kajol has started shooting for Disney+ Hotstar's drama, The Good Wife. She will also play the lead in Revathi's family drama Salaam Venky.

Sharmila Tagore and Masoor Ali Khan’s daughter Saba Khan’s Instagram feed is all about getting a peek into the Pataudis’ regal life. Making another addition to her throwback album, on Friday, Saba shared a two-photo post. Interestingly, the black-and-white images featured Sharmila and Mansoor exchanging rings and posing with ear-to-ear smiles.

In the caption of the photo post, Saba wrote, “Will You MARRY ME? He asked… / ...And she said, YES!”. She mentioned engagement as one of the hashtags used in the caption. The veteran actor and late Indian cricketer first met at a party in 1965. At the time, Tagore was an established Bollywood actress and Tiger was the captain of the Indian cricket team. Television show Sirf Tum, which was launched in November last year, and moved to the OTT platform of the channel earlier this month, is all set to wind up. The shoot of the show, which features Eisha Singh and Vivian Dsena in lead roles, will wrap up in a week’s time and the last episode will be streamed on September 16. Sirf Tum marked Vivian’s return to daily soaps two years after Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki went off air.

Speaking about Sirf Tum going off air, Vivian confirmed, “Yes, the show is winding up on September 16. Everything in life must come to an end and according to my own life experiences, some endings are for the better. Over the years, I have understood that not everything happens the way we want or expect. Life is a roller-coaster ride, full of adventures and experiences and the best of experiences are the ones that teach you good lessons for the future.”

The actor also revealed that he felt a special connection with his character Ranveer in Sirf Tum. He added, “Everything aside, Ranveer will always be special to me. I have put my heart into it. The character is multi-shaded and it feels like some part of him was left undiscovered. People may not know but I started manifesting this character and preparing for it more than a year before the inception of the show. The makers got inspired by me while envisaging this character and also, the fact that both Ranveer and I are often misunderstood for our actions. But if you look deeper, you will see our reasons and targets are right at the end.”

Sirf Tum revolves around Ranveer and Suhaani played by Eisha Singh as fate constantly plays a game of uniting and separating them. The show used to air on Colors channel and it has now shifted to its OTT channel, Voot.

After Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi is yet another actress who seems to be in a fix owing to the Sukesh Chandrashekhar extortion case. Recently, the reality show judge-dancer was summoned by the Delhi police for questioning over the case after her brother-in-law accepted that he received a BMW car worth Rs. 65 lakhs. The Enforcement Directorate too questioned the actress in reference to the case.

As per recent reports, Nora Fatehi was questioned for six hours by the Delhi Police, who summoned her for the second time in relation to the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case. These reports also claim that Nora’s brother-in-law Bobby and Sukesh’s accomplice Pinki Irani were questioned by Economics Wing with reference to the luxurious BMW. On the other hand, Nora reportedly maintained that she didn’t know Sukesh or Pinki personally and that she never met them. She claimed that she was only in touch with Chandrashekhar on WhatsApp.

For the uninitiated, Sukesh Chandrashekhar is currently in jail after he was accused of money laundering and cheating high profile businessmen for whopping amounts. Besides Nora, Jacqueline Fernandez too has been facing accusations of being Sukesh’s accomplice.

In an earlier report submitted by the ED, while Jacqueline was named as one of the accused, Nora Fatehi was named as the witness in the case. However, there has been a recent turn of events in this case with Nora being summoned for a second round of questioning by the Delhi Police.
