Filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor is back with the third season of his political drama City of Dreams on Disney+ Hotstar. The new season, which started streaming on the platform from May 26, has continued the good work of the previous two seasons. And it is now learnt that the third season has become the most watched season of the show after just five days of its release. Disney+ Hotstar has also shared the news on their official social media pages.

The show stars Priya Bapat, Atul Kulkarni, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Eijaz Khan, Sushant Singh, Rannvijay Singha, among others. The story is basically about the power struggle between Poornima Gaikwad (Bapat), the acting Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and her father Ameya Rao Gaikwad (Kulkarni), a veteran politician. The series shows how the power feud in a single family has a negative effect on the state.

City of Dreams sees Pilgaonkar playing the former Chief Minister of the state while Khan essays the role of a tough cop, who is on Poornima’s side. Siddharth Chandekar played Poornima’s brother and Ameya Rao Gaikwad’s son, who gets killed in the first season.

Atul Kulkarni recently shared his experience of working with Nagesh Kukunoor and Priya Bapat on the show. “I always enjoy working with Nagesh. He is a complete actor’s director. He guides you through the scene and it is a pleasure to work the scene out with him. I almost remember every day on-set, from the readings to the production of the scenes. I have a great equation with Priya, as we are extremely close friends off-screen too. Nagesh and Priya are the two people who really made every day special on sets,” said the actor.

Kapil Sharma has a fan following not just among the aam junta but also celebrities. The comedian has shot for his TV show The Kapil Sharma Show with innumerable celebrities. But one celeb has been conspicuous by his absence on the TV show - Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan then complained in a lighter vein, "Aapne mujhe show pe nahin bulaya. Yeh galat baat hai!" He continued, "Isse pehle ki yeh puche, main hi bol deta hoon. Kapil se ek kadam aage hoon main!"

Kapil Sharma replied, "Hamara saubhagya hoga jab aap show pe aaoge. I have requested Aamir bhai whenever we have met. He has always said, 'Main kahin ja raha hoon. Wapis aake baat karte hai'. Cut to, yeh seedha teen saal baad milte hai!"

Aamir replied, "Main 100% aaunga lekin main ek cheez bolta hoon. Aap mujhe meri film release ke time bulate hai. Mujhe release ke liye nahin aana hai. Mujhe aise hi entertainment ke liye bulao."

Later, a journalist asked if Aamir Khan would like to do a film with Kapil Sharma. To which, Aamir said, "Kapil and me doing a film together? I would love that yaar!"

The journalist said that it'll be a pleasure to see them both as Aamir is a perfectionist while Kapil Sharma is "sabke dil ke raja". Aamir pitched in, "Mere bhi dil ke raja hai woh!" Kapil Sharma then raised laughs as he told the journalist, "Thank you mere kehne par aapne yeh sawaal pucha!"

Rani Mukerji has given Indian cinema some powerful female protagonists who have played a huge hand in shaping the way women are viewed in society today. A towering actor, Rani shares her vision to represent women correctly in films.

Rani says, “As an actor, your vision for cinema and roles will constantly evolve but one thing that’s constantly stayed for me is the way I wanted to portray and represent women on screen. Women are the backbone of a family and society and I think, as an actor, I have a responsibility to show this to as many people as possible across my country and the world.“

She adds, “Cinema can have a lasting impression on the minds of people. It is a very powerful tool to trigger a national conversation and I became conscious very early on in my career that I could make a real change in the way women are projected on-screen, that could be positive.”

Rani wanted to show girls as fiercely independent and self-reliant in films. She says, “I made it a point to choose films where the girl is also pivotal to the plot, where the girl is projected with dignity and power. For me, women have always been agents of change. They have been independent, courageous, caring, pursuers of dreams and the best multitasker you can ever find. I wanted to highlight these facets of a woman by choosing characters that echo this belief system of mine.”

Rani adds, “So, if you see films like Black, Veer Zaara, Mardaani series, Yuva, No One Killed Jessica, Hichki or even my latest film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, to name a few, the girls I play are central to the plot, the sheroes that people have adored and accepted for being who they are.”

In her last release, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway (MCVN), Rani again played a feisty woman who took on a country to win back her children. The film was a resounding hit at the box office and it brought back the belief that content cinema could pull in people to theatres in this post-pandemic world. Rani says, “The fact that MCVN is a hit today is because people want to see strong woman protagonists like this on the big screen. There is constant chatter whether women-centric films are box office draws? That concerns me, of course they are box office draws. A film is a hit when producers make money from it and it is not just about how much it collects at the box office because one should also factor in the cost of the film.”

She adds, “There is a lot of misconception about what a hit means and I think people should pay attention to this before passing judgement if a film is profitable. Following the release of Farzi on Prime Video India, Shahid Kapoor is set for another direct-to-digital release. Titled Bloody Daddy, which is set to premiere on JioCinema on June 9, the film is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. This marks their first collaboration on screen. Zafar says that they are hoping that the film gets bigger and is designed in a way to take it forward.

“We are going with that gut and we are hoping that this becomes bigger. It’s designed in a way that it can be taken forward. And let’s see, what destiny holds for us from there,” the filmmaker told PTI. The filmmaker also said that the relatability of the content is the success parameter these days rather than box office numbers. “The relatability right now has become the box office. It’s not numbers anymore,” he added.

Zafar wanted to go grittier in terms of storytelling. He said, “Shahid and I had this continuous battle. I was telling him, ‘Let’s open up a bit more’ and he used to say, ‘Ali, I’m not that commercial. I completely respected that fact because what it made me do is something which is new.”

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has signed with the international agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) in all areas globally. The news was reported by Deadline. The agency is home to Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, and Jake Gyllenhaal among others. In 2021, Alia Bhatt signed with the same agency.

The report states that Ranveer Singh has a brand value of $181.7 million. He is also a brand ambassador for many major brands including the NBA (appearing in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in 2022 and 2023), Adidas, PepsiCo, and Abu Dabhi’s Yas Island.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus. The actor will now star in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Over a week ago, Kartik Aaryan wrapped Satyaprem Ki Katha which also stars Kiara Advani. The film wrapped with a massive song shoot which is an introductory song for Kartik’s character. Interestingly, the song depicts four weddings - Gujarati, South Indian, Muslim and Christian nuptials.

As per a report in Mid-day, a source revealed, “Sameer and producer Sajid Nadiadwala were in two minds about it as it’s an expensive affair, costing almost Rs. 7 crores. On Kartik’s insistence, they decided to go ahead with it. In the narrative, the lead character Satyaprem wants to get married, and is dreaming about his prospective wedding.”

Having said that, the lavish sets were erected in Mumbai for the shoot which concluded last week. As per the report, production designer Rajat Poddarr and cinematographer Manu Anand, along with the director Sameer Vidwans had built two sets at Madh Island for South Indian and Christian weddings whereas two sets up erected for the Muslim and Gujarati weddings at Vrundavan Studio in Malad. The source added, “The Christian ceremony’s backdrop is influenced by the vibe of Santorini, Greece. For the Gujarati shaadi, a mohalla was built, while huge replicas of famous temples from the south were created for the south Indian wedding. The Muslim nuptials take place in a banquet hall.”

Kartik Aaryan was reportedly involved in the discussion for the song since the first day and danced his heart out. The song has been choreographed by Bosco Martis.

Satyaprem Ki Katha also marks a massive collaboration between NGE and Namah Pictures. Interestingly, Sajid Nadiadwala and Shareen Mantri Kedia with Kishor Arora & director Sameer Vidwans won a National Award for their respective feature films. It marks the second outing for Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

For the unversed, the film was earlier titled as Satyanarayan Ki Katha, which translates to The Story of Satyanarayan, another name for the Hindu god Vishnu, which caused controversy. The title change was announced in a statement by director Sameer Vidwans in 2021.

Kartik re-posted the comment on his official Instagram account, stating that the title would be modified to avoid offending anyone. “A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film Satyanarayan Ki Katha to avoid hurting sentiments, even if that's purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey. Sincerely, Sameer Vidwans,” the statement read.

Satyaprem Ki Katha also marked a massive collaboration between NGE and Namah Pictures. Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush will be making its international premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York on June 13, 2023. Produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, it is scheduled to release worldwide on June 16, 2023.

The silken looks and smooth smooches in the song ‘Naseeb Se’ in the forthcoming film Satyaprem Ki Katha are being much talked about. It shows that Kartik Aaryan is finally at ease doing a romantic kiss on screen. Earlier Kartik felt awkward doing kissing sequences on camera, and it showed.

Said a source in the know, “When Kartik had to smooch Subhash Ghai’s heroine Mishti in Kaanchi, he was most reluctant. He didn’t know his co-star Mishti at all. Smooching a stranger, even for a film, seemed odd to the conservative actor from Gwalior. Since Kartik was new to the industry, he obediently did what the director asked him to. Even in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal where he was comfortable with his co-star Sara Ali Khan, Kartik was not fully comfortable doing the multiple liplocks, though he covered up his discomfort well.”

The intimate scenes in Satyaprem Ki Katha strike an authentic note as Kartik has learnt to be comfortable with on-screen intimacy.

A source close to the actor revealed, “Like Shah Rukh and Salman, Kartik feels romance can be shown without physical intimacy. But in Satyaprem Ki Katha, physical proximity is an essential part of the romance. Kartik and Kiara Advani did extensive workshops together before coming to this level of comfort in their onscreen intimacy.”

Prior to her current relationship with Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora was married to Arbaaz Khan. However, their marriage ended in 2017, and since then, they have maintained an amicable relationship as they co-parent their son, Arhaan Khan. Despite the separation, Malaika and Arbaaz prioritize their son's well-being and work together to provide a nurturing environment for him.

On the work front, Arjun Kapoor was last seen in the role of a cop in the January 2023 release Kuttey. The actor will next be seen collaborating with Bhumi Pednekar for the film titled The Lady Killer. On the other hand, Malaika Arora will be continuing with her work in her entrepreneurial ventures.

Earlier this year in February it was reported that Salman Khan and Aamir Khan were in talks for the remake of the Spanish film Campeones. As per reports, Aamir had approached Salman to feature as the lead in the Hindi adaptation titled Champions. In fact, it was also revealed that an official announcement on the same was to be made in March. However, since then there has been no development on the project. Now, we hear that Salman Khan has opted out of the remake, following which Aamir Khan has now approached Ranbir Kapoor for the film.

Divulging details to Bollywood Hungama a well-placed industry source says, “Salman Khan was pretty keen on doing the Campeones remake. However, there were certain date issues which arose, due to which the actor had to back out of the venture.” As per the source, everything was moving in the right direction and Salman had shown active interest in the subject, with one final narration to be done before work on project began in June. Unfortunately, following the narration, Salman realised that the film would clash with his other venture, because of which he decided to bow out of the RS Prasanna directed sports drama.

However, every dark cloud has its silver lining, and the same is the case with Aamir’s Champions. Post Salman opting out of the project, Aamir Khan has now approached Ranbir Kapoor. “Ranbir is doing some interesting films. He is consciously choosing varied scripts and genres, building an impressive repertoire. Given his acting prowess, and the fact that he has never really done a sports drama, it will be interesting to see Ranbir in a new avatar”, says the source. Interestingly, Ranbir too has shown keen interest in the venture, “Ranbir has heard the narration, and has expressed interest. If everything works out, he will be seen in the lead with Champions.”

As or the film, Champions which is an official remake of the Spanish film Campeones is directed by RS Prasanna with AKP bankrolling the venture. Expected to release in 2024 the final timelines will be decided only once the paperwork is done.

In a recent interview Gulshan Devaiah discussed his experience of working with renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He candidly expressed that working with Bhansali could become tedious if one lacks the necessary patience. Gulshan had the opportunity to collaborate with the veteran filmmaker in the 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela which featured Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in lead.

During a recent interview with Amar Ujala, Gulshan shared his thoughts on collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He said, “If you do not have the patience, aapka dimag pak jaega (you may get bored). He takes his work very seriously and is very dedicated to his work. He expects complete dedication and submission from others as well, but it is impossible for most.”

He further added, “That hampers the balance. People are also afraid of him. I gathered the courage to talk to him and would often sit with him in front of the monitor to watch his style of work. People are scared of him, so they do not enjoy working with him. I would often talk to him fearlessly, and he liked this aspect of mine.”

Gulshan Devaiah has been actively involved in various projects on the work front. He was recently seen in the web series titled Dahaad, which features an ensemble cast including Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Varma. The series is currently streaming on Prime Video, entertaining audiences with its compelling storyline. His film 8 AM Metro also released this month. Furthermore, Gulshan is gearing up for his upcoming venture, the Sudhanshu Saria directorial Ulajh. IIFA Awards 2023 was held in Yas Island, Dubai and it was indeed a star-studded evening filled with glitz, glamour, and remarkable talent. Among the rising stars who owned the stage was Babil Khan, who seems to have left the critics impressed with his stellar performance in the movie Qala, co-starring Triptii Dimri. Babil's portrayal of Jagan in the film garnered him the prestigious award for Best Debut Actor (Male) at IIFA 2023.

The film is a psychological drama which features Swastika Mukherjee as a bygone singer Urmila, who is keen on finding her perfect protégé but is never satisfied with the performance of his daughter Qala aka Tripti Dimrii. While Qala continues to yearn for her mother’s affection and a chance to make it big in the industry, she is pushed to the edge when Urmila finds everything including her long-lost son in Jagan. Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, who have been the talk of the town recently, seem to be busy trying to lock the venue for their impending wedding. The couple, who got engaged earlier this month, is expected to be tying the knot in Rajasthan as per current reports. From what we hear, Parineeti is currently in the state where she was seen spending time with her relatives. Further adding to the speculations, it is being said that Raghav will be joining the actress soon.

As per IANS reports, Parineeti Chopra arrived in Udaipur on Saturday and was staying at Udaipur Palace, along with her family members too staying at Udayvilas. Later, she was reportedly seen having lunch with her relatives. Furthermore, adding fuel to the fire, Parineeti Chopra is also expected to have had a meeting with Shikha Saxena of the Tourism Department, wherein she was seen asking about the touristy places and hotels in Udaipur. If that was not all, Raghav Chadha is expected to have visited Jaipur to scout for wedding venues, followed by Parineeti Chopra joining him on Sunday, May 28.

If these reports are to be believed, it seems that Parineeti Chopra wants to follow the footsteps of Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who too tied the knot in Rajasthan way back in 2018. However, the couple are yet to choose between Udaipur and Jaipur.

News about Parineeti Chopra getting engaged to Raghav Chadha started doing the rounds last month. Later, reports had it that the couple had hosted an intimate ‘roka’ ceremony before exchanging rings at Kapurthala House in New Delhi. In his latest venture Vikram Vedha, Hrithik Roshan fans loved his portrayal of Vedha, a ruthless, terrifyingly mad, yet charming, and delectably mischievous gangster. The actor, who recently attended the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards in Yas Island Dubai, walked away with the prestigious trophy of Best Actor for his performance in the Hindi remake. Followed by the same, the actor gave a heartfelt acceptance stage on the IIFA stage.

While receiving the award, he shared, "Vedha helped unleash a certain madness inside me which I didn’t know existed. So, thank you to the universe & thank you to Vedha for helping me discover that madness & the strength to hold that madness.” The actor received the award from Anil Kapoor, who also received the IIFA Award for Best Supporting Character in Jugjugg Jeeyo. Coming to Vikram Vedha, We hear that Hrithik Roshan wanted to become ‘Vedha’ by completely absorbing every element of the character and his nuances. In order to embody the gangster, Hrithik let go of all inhibitions and was even willing to be eccentric and wacky to essay the character. Hrithik also underwent a lot of preps, from voice training and speaking gibberish to dialogue rehearsals, dancing to 80s music, emoting to nature, and recording himself to perfect his mannerisms and dialect, etc.

Vikram Vedha was directed by Pushkar Gayathri. The film is a remake of the 2017 Tamil film by the same. While Hrithik was Vedha, Saif Ali Khan played Vikram. The characters were essayed by Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan in the South version. The film released in Hindi on September 29.

Amid awards season, Kareena Kapoor Khan has taken off to Europe where she was recently seen attending the practice session of Monaco F1 Grand Prix on Saturday, May 28. There, the actress was seen bonding with former cricketer Yuvraj Singh and the two of them seem to be exploring F1 racetrack and even bonding over food. Pictures of the same surfaced online as fanclubs of the actress couldn’t stop swooning over her swagger.

Last week, Kareena Kapoor Khan had joined the team of her upcoming film The Crew, which included co-actress Kriti Sanon and Tabu in Goa. The trio will be coming together for the first time in this Rhea Kapoor production, which is also expected to co-star Diljit Dosanjh. Recently, the trio returned to the city with Kriti taking off to attend IIFA Awards 2023 in Dubai.

As for Bebo’s upcoming projects, the actress is all set to make her OTT debut this year with the Netflix film directed by Sujoy Ghosh, an adaptation of the Japanese thriller novel Devotion of Suspect X. The actress will also be featuring in Hansal Mehta’s next.

The month of May is special for Gulshan Devaiah. Apart from it being his birthday, his two projects – his web series Dahaad and movie 8 AM Metro – released in this month. “This month has been special for me. Dahaad became a hit and my film 8 AM Metro was released in theatres. Although only a few people saw it, they have liked it. My work has been appreciated in it. Birthday months are lucky months,” he said in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama.

Devaiah completes 45 today but he tells us that he doesn’t quite like celebrating. “I wish to do nothing, but people don’t let you do that,” he said. “Friends will make some plan. Chalti nahin hai aapki marzi. My ex-wife (Kalliroi Tziafeta) is my best friend. She has somehow managed to book a table in an expensive restaurant.”

Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruckika Oberoi and streamed on Amazon Prime Video, Dahaad is a gritty crime drama taking place in the interiors of Rajasthan, where nobody generally shoots. Devaiah said that the biggest challenge for the team was the cold weather.

“We didn’t feel that we were shooting at a place where nobody shoots,” said the actor. “Shooting in the cold was challenging. We were given summer uniforms, but we were shooting in the winter. Other than this, there was no other challenge. It was a very good team and we enjoyed.”

Dahaad stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role of a sub-inspector. Devaiah, who plays her senior, had a lot of scenes with her. “We used to do a lot of time pass and chat,” he said. “We used to play volleyball and badminton. We got a good chance of knowing each other. We developed a good friendship. It helps when you are working with someone you are comfortable with. She lives a very active lifestyle. She likes sports.”

Devaiah’s character Devilal Singh is usually calm but there is one scene in the ending portions where he loses his cool and screams at his wife in a moment of conflict. Recalling that moment, Devaiah said, “It will burst out at some point. I don’t exactly remember if it was in the script or we improvised. If a person is always keeping calm in tough situations, the anger and frustration will eventually come out in some way on someone; he is a human after all. He also blurts out to his wife that she is backward.”

The last film that Jatin-Lalit did together was Kunal Kohli’s Fanaa. Says Lalit emotionally, “The movie completed seventeen years today and it was just about sixteen years that Jatin and I worked together before we split in 2006. I look at Fanaa from a very special point of view and hold that film very close to my heart to tell the truth, we had split while the music of Fanaa was still work in progress. I had gone and met Adi and told him Jatin and Lalit will not be working together after this film.

Lalit says Fanaa producer Aditya Chopra tried to convince the brothers against the split. Adi was very upset, and he did call Jatin and me both to his place, spoke to us and advised that it was a terrible decision which was of course anticipated and understood by both of us. For about two years prior to this I was getting signs that us being together wouldn’t last long and it was terribly stressful.”

Remembering the split Lalit gets upset. “I wouldn’t like to elaborate further except, that since it was to be the last film, we would work together I wanted to give all I had to make this a score which would be remembered always. During the recordings itself Jatin had stopped coming to the studio gradually after his only song in the film Des Rangila got recorded. I, with the rest of the team and director Kunal Kohli kept working on the rest of the songs and we worked really hard to achieve the quality that eventually emerged in Fanaa’s music.”

However, despite the split the show went on for Lalit. “The good thing was the studio was always available for me since it was a YRF home production. Incidentally Fanaa was also the first film that was recorded in the new YRF studio, and no one was really sure how the sound would be. It did take months of studio work for me to finalise the mixes of all the songs. I had it in my heart that since this was to be the last film of a big brand name Jatin-Lalit’s last musical score it would have to be the best score of the year.”

Eventually Fanaa did get nominated for best score and for the song ‘Chand Sifarish’, it won all the awards that year for Shaan as best singer.

Recalls Lalit, “When the best music award went to A R Rehman in his speech, he did say he was sad to know that Jatin and Lalit wouldn’t be working together again, that was sweet of him. When the final day of the mix was finished and Adi was supposed to hear the final product, we met in the evening and heard all the songs together. Everything sounded good and when Adi and I were going down from the recording studio he asked me, “Kya lagta hai music ka??” I told him, “Ye dil se nikla hai aur logon ke dil tak pahunchega.” . As time flew by, the music of Fanaa was a huge success and Adi called me and said, “Guess what? Fanaa is the highest selling music for YRF”. It was so good to hear that I will never forget it. Bhagwan ne hamari izzat Rakh li! My brother and I are perhaps the only musical jodi that ended our carrier right at its peak.”

Is there a possibility of Jatin-Lalit getting together again? “I always feel very humble and apologetic towards people who have enjoyed our music and kept asking us to get back together. I deeply apologise to them all and appreciate all the respect and love they have shown over the years to us and our music, and still do. Fanaa will always be very close to my heart always.”

Following a petition against their upcoming film Ruslaan, a Delhi court has recently served a notice to Aayush Sharma, who is Bollywood actor Salman Khan's brother-in-law, as well as producer K. K. Radhamohan and South Indian actor Jagpathi Babu. Satyabrata Panda, an Additional District Judge at the Patiala House Court, presided over the hearing and directed all the defendants to submit their responses within a week.

The case has been scheduled for another hearing on June 9. Social activist Jagdish Sharma and actor Raajveer Sharma, represented by their lawyer Rudra Vikram Singh, filed an injunction suit seeking to halt the release of the film c. The movie is being produced by Radhamohan, with Aayush Sharma in the lead role. The plaintiffs claim that Ruslaan is a replica of the original 2009 film Ruslaan, produced by Jagdish Sharma, where Raajveer Sharma portrayed the main character.

According to the petition, the defendants were accused of copying the dialogues and storyline from the original film titled Ruslaan. The trailer for Aayush Sharma's forthcoming movie, which also features Telugu superstar Jagapathi Babu and Sushri Mishra, was unveiled on April 21. The 2009 film Ruslaan starred Megha Chatterjee, who happens to be the daughter of renowned actress Moushumi Chatterjee, in the lead role.

Directed by Katyayan Shivpuri, the film Ruslaan unveiled its official trailer on April 21. Alongside Aayush Sharma, the movie also features the debutant actress Sushrii Mishraa in the lead role. The release of the trailer generated an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience, who were captivated by the unique character portrayed by Aayush Sharma. In Ruslaan, the actor is seen stepping into a distinct role that sets him apart from his previous two films, showcasing his versatility and ability to embrace diverse characters. Vicky Kaushal and Salman Khan recently came into news after a video of them grabbed the attention on social media. A couple of days ago, the Indian entertainment industry woke up to the shocking news of the demise of young actress Vaibhavi Upadhyaya. The actress, known for her performance in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Season 2 as Jasmine, was exploring Himachal Pradesh with her fiancé Jay Gandhi when her vehicle was expected to be hit by a truck. Followed by this, some claimed that the couple was not wearing seat belts but Jay, who is recovering from the sustained injuries during the accident, clarified on the same.

Recalling the incident, Jay Gandhi asserted that a truck hit their car and Vaibhavi Upadhyaya was thrown off the vehicle. She reportedly sustained several head injuries and that even though, she received help from the locals, by the time they reached the hospital it was too late for the actress. Jay told ETimes, “There is a notion that you speed on road trips, but that was not the case. Our car was standing still and waiting for the truck to pass. I am not in a state to talk much, but I wanted to ensure that people don’t assume that we were not wearing seat belts or were speeding.”

In the same interview, Jay’s statement was corroborated by Vaibhavi’s brother Ankit Upadhyaya as he continued, "She was always cautious and would never sit in a car without a seat belt. So, on a road trip, she would be extra cautious. The doctors also confirmed how there were seat belt marks around her neck. It is sad that we were thinking of planning her marriage, but now she is gone.”

JD Majethia who has worked with Vaibhavi Upadhyaya had revealed about the actress not wearing a seatbelt when he attended her funeral and along with him, one of the police officials in charge had also mentioned about it.

Imlie actor Karan Vohra, who is currently essaying the role of Atharva Rana and former husband of Imlie Rana, is all set to become a father in real life. Moreover, in a recent post, the actor revealed that he and his wife Bella are all set to welcome twins. Karan Vohra entered Imlie after the major leap wherein Megha Chakraborthy was roped in to play Jr. Imlie, who is the daughter of Imlie (Sumbul Touqeer) and Aryan (Fahmaan Khan).

Karan Vohra, who generally shares sneak peek into the world of his ongoing popular show Imlie on Star Plus, posted a glimpse of his personal life recently. He took to the platform to share a video comprising of montages of the baby shower celebrations which were held in Delhi. From the peach themed décor to the invite for the shower, the video featured several glimpses of the shower including a backdrop for cake cutting which read, ‘Vohra Babies’, and a board which said, ‘Oh Baby! Oh Baby! What else can we say? We have babies on the way’, which further confirmed the speculations that the couple is having twins.

In a recent statement, Karan Vohra revealed that the baby shower was supposed to be held last month but got delayed because of his hectic schedule. In a report with ETimes, Karan confessed that he wanted to get his wife and children to Mumbai, two months after the delivery. He said, "I want to cherish every moment of their growing up years. I am very excited about seeing Bella's happiness. We stay connected virtually and she keeps updating me about the babies. At times, I feel helpless because I can't be with her to see them growing and kicking. I can't wait to see and hold them."

Saif Ali Khan and Siddharth Anand (of Pathaan fame) go back a long way. They have been close friends ever since Siddharth directed Saif in Ta Ra Rum Pum and Salaam Namaste. After these two films, Siddharth directed two movies with his erstwhile best friend Ranbir Kapoor (Bachna Ae Haseeno and Anjana Anjani), then two other films with Hrithik Roshan (Bang Bang and War).

Grewal has apparently come up with an exciting script for Saif that Siddharth Anand will produce.

This will be Saif’s second project with Netflix after the much talked about web series Sacred Games, which also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The Race actor is currently gearing up for his next release Adipurush. He will be playing the character of Raavan in the mythological drama directed by Om Raut, which also star Prabhas and Kriti Sanon.

Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal are set to host the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2023. The press conference on Thursday was attended by Farah Khan and Rajkummar Rao along with performers Salman Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Nora Fatehi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Nucleya, Sunidhi Chauhan and Iulia Vantur. Bachchan says that it is good to be back in Abu Dhabi which is hosting IIFA for the second time in a row.

 Speaking to Khaleej Times, he said, "I think it is wonderful. Our cinema is reaching different corners of the world. I think that's something to be very happy about."

Talking about the stage fear and hosting duties, he added, "You think you get used to it, but you don't. And I think that's good because if you have stage fright and if you're nervous about going on stage somewhere, it means that it matters. I'd hate to be in a situation where I am careless about it."

He further said, "I like the idea that there is nervousness because that nervousness makes it mean something to you. It means you know it makes a difference if you do your best or not."

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday for IIFA 2023. The actor was seen sporting a new look which seems like is for his next project. At the press conference, the actor confirmed that he has wrapped the shoot for Tiger 3.

In an interaction with the media in Abu Dhabi, Salman said, “Last night, I was shooting for Tiger (Tiger 3) and I have completed Tiger 3. Now you will get to see Tiger on Diwali, inshallah.” The actor added, “It was a very hectic shoot, it was good though.”

A few days ago, Salman Khan shared a photo of himself showing his injured back. Prime Video today announced the global streaming premiere of the Hindi action-adventure film, Bholaa. Directed by Ajay Devgn, and jointly produced by Ajay Devgn FFilms, Reliance Entertainment, T-Series, and Dream Warrior Pictures, the film features Devgn in the titular role, alongside Tabu and Amala Paul in pivotal roles.

Bholaa, a former convict, is released after 10 years of imprisonment and wants to reunite with his daughter, whom he hasn't seen for years. And we thought we were in the 21st century! The brouhaha over the supposed intimate scenes between Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dawan in Raj-DK’s Citadel, seems to be a case of much ado about nothing.

A source close to the project wonders what the fuss is about. “Where are these reports of onscreen intimacy between Sam and Varun coming from? Just because Priyanka Chopra and her co-star had lovemaking scenes in the international Citadel? But the Indian Citadel is completely different from its international counterpart! It is a completely different project. Sam is definitely not playing PeeCee’s character. Why would Sam mimic Priyanka’s behaviour?”

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's Kennedy is all set for the premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2023. The film stars Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat. Leone, currently in Cannes, said this was one of the most amazing moments in her career. She also said that no one can now question her and say she is here for the 'glamour quotient' only.

In a conversation with Forbes India, Sunny Leone said, “I believe that your actions are louder than your words. All those people who said you can’t do this, or you’re not good enough, or you know you are just Sunny Leone, the porn star, you are just this glamour quotient that we’ve added, all of these different comments that have gone on for so many years. You can’t say that this time. You can’t just say Sunny Leone is in this film because of who she is and what her past was.”

“People out there don’t always know how their comments or what they say or people who write these articles that are just nasty or people who don’t believe in you, they think the worst of you. Actor Manoj Bajpayee recently shared his views on the current state of the film industry. He expressed his concern about films failing to connect with audiences as much as they used to. According to Bajpayee, this disconnect stemmed from a growing desire within the industry for a quick and easy formula for success. Bajpayee emphasized that, in his opinion, the key to creating meaningful and impactful cinema lies in giving sufficient time and attention to the development of the story and script. He believed that these fundamental elements serve as the foundation for a successful film. By investing ample time and effort into crafting a compelling narrative and a well-structured script, filmmakers can create a strong emotional connection with the audience.

During an interview with GOODTIMES, Manoj Bajpayee was questioned about the under-performance of films, including those released on OTT platforms. To this he replied, “We keep wondering, why aren't films working? But the reason is right within you. We keep trying to find a mantra for everything. We keep looking for the thing that will make us successful. It doesn't work like that. Just be true to the job. It's most important that we pay attention to the story. It's important that we spend time on writing a good script. [There were] 18 drafts of Bandaa. It takes time. For Gulmohar, it took them three years. I really find it surprising how [people keep churning stuff out].”

He further added, “When you start churning [things], definitely mediocrity will emerge. When you start to look for a formula to any success, then mediocrity will come. That means you are not being true to your creative self. You are trying to find that tablet, and you think you got that tablet. It never happens that way.”

Actress Mouni Roy has joined the list of other debutantes at the Cannes Film Festival, which is now underway. For the occasion, the Bollywood actress flew to France and carried her bombshell glitz with her. Mouni made her red-carpet debut wearing a gorgeous and jaw-dropping ensemble. Although the actress has been sharing some lovely fashion moments from the occasion, her look for the red carpet has won our hearts. The actress wore an incredible strapless dress with exquisite feather embellishments all over it. Akshay Tyagi, a famous stylist, outfitted the actress in a dress from Atelier Zuhra. Her outfit had a bodice with a silver sheen and a sweetheart neckline that was highlighted, and the extravagant flare gave the outfit a dramatic feel. She chose to accessorise simply and elegantly with a silver necklace, and her decision to wear her hair in a bun complimented her look. Glam makeup that comprised smoky eyes, winged eyeliner, rosy cheeks, and pink lip colour finished off her appearance.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mouni was last seen in Brahmastra - Part One opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. She will next star in horror comedy Virgin Tree.

Bollywood and TV actor Nitesh Pandey, who played the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s character Om Kapoor’s assistant in Om Shanti Om, has passed away at the age of 51 following a cardiac arrest. The actor, who starred as Dheeraj Kumar in the TV show Anupamaa, reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest in Igatpuri on May 24 at 2 am. He was reportedly there for a shoot.

As per a report in Times of India, Pandey was shooting in Igatpuri when his health deteriorated. He reportedly died almost immediately after the heart attack.

Producer Siddharth Nagar, who happens to be the brother-in-law of Pandey, confirmed the news to the publication and said, “Yes, you have heard it right. My brother-in-law is no more, my sister Arpita Pandey is in a state of shock. Nitesh's father has left for Igatpuri to get his mortal remains. They should be here by the afternoon. We have gone absolutely numb, I have not been able to even talk to Arpita after the tragedy. I am headed to Igatpuri as well, I am in the train right now. I was coming back from Delhi when I heard about this. Nitesh was much younger than me. He was a very lively person and I don't think he had a history of any heart ailment.”

Nitesh Pandey was a regular on Television and movies. He had starred in Dabangg, Khosla Ka Ghosla among others. He worked in TV serials like Manzilein Apani Apani, Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani, Saaya, Justajoo and Durgesh Nandini.

Actor Dilip Joshi is a household name in the country, courtesy of his TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Popularly known as Jethalal Gada, he has come a long way since his theatre, early TV and movie days. He was in Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit started Hum Aapke Hain Koun and is still remembered for his performance.

In an interview with Rajshri Productions, Joshi recalled the shooting days and how excited he was to share the screen with Madhuri Dixit. “I am a huge fan of Madhuri Ji, I was quite excited to work with her. On the first day of the shoot, I got ready before the call time. It was a fan moment when I saw her stepping down the stairs in the cricket costume and she crossed me. It was a surreal feeling to see her live,” he shared.

He also said that director Sooraj Barjatya introduced him to Madhuri Dixit as a 'renowned artist from the Gujarati industry'. He added, “It was so sweet of him to listen to me while shooting the film with such big artists. He asked his assistant to bring the script and my schedule. He saw it and asked me if I can give him my entire day and a few hours the next morning just for some close-up shots. He adjusted everything by going out of his way and without making any fuss. He has such a helpful nature.”

Then, talking about with working Salman Khan, Joshi recalled, “During the film’s schedule in Filmistaan, I shared a room with Salman Khan. He never objected to me being in his room. He was very cooperative and threw no tantrums. it was fun working with him.”
