Veteran actor Paresh Rawal turned 70 yesterday. Filmmaker and producer Mahesh Bhatt, who has worked with the actor on quite a few films like Naam, Sir and Tamanna, spoke about him in an interview with us.

Your association with Paresh Rawal is long and rewarding. When did you first meet him?

It’s difficult to peer through the mist of time and pinpoint the exact moment you meet someone, who looks like the guy next door but carries within him a volcanic talent. And yet, I vividly remember the first time I met Paresh Rawal. It was at Salim Khan Sahib’s house during the casting of Naam. We were struggling to find an actor for a particularly challenging role, the villain who becomes the roadblock in Sanjay Dutt’s path, a role that would eventually help catapult Sanjay to stardom.

What was your reaction on meeting Paresh?

I am coming to that. “This is Paresh Rawal,” said Salim Sahib. I looked up to see a shy, almost meek-looking young man, who stood up respectfully and shook my hand. I was told he had a bit part in Arjun, a film starring Sunny Deol and directed by Rahul Rawail. But do you know what gravitated me to Paresh?

Tell me?

What drew me in was not his resume—it was his passion for theatre. That was enough for me. Here was a newcomer, thirsty and trained by the stage, someone who would bring an earthiness to the role that was essential. The character was a drug baron, settled overseas but deeply rooted in India. Paresh carried that dust, that fragrance of the land, in his very soul.

You went on to together bleed brilliancy into several projects

His performance in Naam—especially the chilling scene where he warns Sanjay Dutt’s character that this business is a one-way street with “no entry” on the other side—remains etched in people’s memories. The menace in that delivery still resonates. But it was in Tamanna, Pooja Bhatt’s first National Award-winning film, that Paresh truly stole my heart. He played the role of Tiku, a transgender who raises a girl child rescued from the streets of Mumbai.

When I narrated the story to him, he was visibly shaken. He said he would give his heart to the role—and he did. I have rarely seen such total surrender to a part. He became a devotee. I recall a particular scene with Nadira ji—who plays a fading actress slipping into madness—where he gently tries to feed her. That moment, tender and heart-breaking, stands among the tallest performances I have witnessed in Indian cinema.

In my opinion, the piece de resistance of your collaboration was Sir

Sir—prior to Tamanna—where he played Veljibhai, opposite his favourite actor, Naseeruddin Shah. Naseer was stunning in the film, but it was Paresh’s grounded, layered performance that astounded everyone. He played a gangster whose hands were drenched in blood, but who remained in awe of the teacher who came to tutor his daughter. His reverence for Naseer was real, and it showed. In Kubzaa, too, again as Veljibhai, he created a semi-cult classic. Another menacing gangster, rooted in Kutch, with the scent of the earth captured on celluloid.

Your closing thoughts on one of finest actors?

As Paresh turns 70, I look back with deep fondness and gratitude. I recall how he supported a young, struggling theatre director and producer trying to stage a play in Delhi, how he never forgot his roots in NSD (National School of Drama) and the stage, and how the legacy continues through his son, Aditya Rawal. Aditya’s brilliant turn as a terrorist in Hansal Mehta’s Faraaz made me believe that the stream is flowing strong—he will not just carry the legacy forward, he might just surpass it. So here’s to you, Paresh. Seventy years young, still burning bright. You have the vitality, the bite, and the fragrance of the soil in every role you inhabit. And I have a feeling your greatest performances may still be ahead of you.

Happy Birthday, my friend.

Buckle up for the biggest laughter riot of the year as Housefull 5 hits cinemas on 6th June 2025! Helmed by celebrated director Tarun Mansukhani, this film marks a monumental cinematic milestone, bringing together 19 of Bollywood’s most loved stars in one epic comedy franchise.

Housefull 5 continues the legacy of India's longest-running comedy franchise, and this time it’s bigger, bolder, and packed with more madness than ever. Known for his vision and flair, Tarun Mansukhani has achieved what few filmmakers dare to dream, uniting 19 A-list actors in a single high-voltage entertainer.

The stellar ensemble includes: Akshay Kumar, Abhishek A Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir — promising a power-packed rollercoaster of comedy, chaos, and charisma.

Speaking about the film, director Tarun Mansukhani said,"Bringing together 19 A-listers sounds insane on paper, and it was just as mad in real life, in the best way. As director, I knew I had my work cut out. There was no ego or flair, just pure love for the story from every actor bringing madcap energy to the set. The three boys were the soul, the girls brought spark, and legends like Nana Sir, Jackie Sir, and Sanjay Sir showed why they’re icons—effortless charm and presence, it’s unreal! We improvised, laughed, and through all that chaos, my job was to hold it together and shape it into something that truly connects. Now I just hope the audience enjoys watching it as much as we did making it."

Saif Ali Khan’s versatility isn’t just limited to screen roles. Off-screen, he balances an equally demanding set of characters: father, husband, professional, son, and wears each of them with quiet grace. Recently, while speaking at the Arab Media Summit, Saif opened up about what success truly looks like to him: being present. In an industry that celebrates the non-stop hustle, Saif’s idea of success is refreshingly different — one rooted in stillness, routine, and choosing family over frenzy.

He spoke about the moments that matter, the everyday ones that rarely make headlines but define who we are when the cameras stop rolling. He came home before his children fell asleep, took time off during school holidays, and called both his mother and his kids because that’s what this chapter of life demands. “I hate coming home and seeing the kids already asleep. That’s not success. Success is being able to say, ‘No, I need to go home now to catch that half hour with them.’”

“We get four holidays a year, and when my kids are on break, I don’t work. That time is sacred.” Reflecting on this phase of life, Saif said, “I’m at that crazy age where I have to call both my mom and my children. You think it’s just your parents you have to check on, then you realise it’s both.”

But more than just being there, Saif spoke about the importance of showing up in the little ways. The kind that don’t get documented, but hold everything together. “Working is important, yes. But so is cooking pasta together, having a meal, and focusing on the kids. That’s the real glue of life.” His perspective is clear and grounded. Real success lies not in the spotlight but in the quiet moments. At the dinner table. On school breaks. In choosing time over attention. “Success and privilege, for me, is being able to say no to work and yes to time with my family.”

On the work front, Saif has an exciting slate ahead. He will be seen in the high-octane action thriller Race 4, a biopic in collaboration with director Rahul Dholakia, an untitled project with Priyadarshan, and a social thriller with Hansal Mehta.

Sonakshi Sinha is back on the big screen with a vengeance. On May 29, the actress took to social media to unveil the official poster of her upcoming psychological thriller, Nikita Roy. The film, which marks her return to theatres after 2024's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, is set to hit cinemas worldwide on June 27, 2025.

The poster features Sonakshi in an intense close-up, exuding a serious, almost ominous presence. Alongside her, the ensemble cast includes Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar. The film is directed by Kussh S Sinha and produced under the banners of Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films, Kratos Entertainment, and Nikita Pai Films Ltd. A New Chapter in Sonakshi Sinha’s Career While Nikita Roy will mark Sonakshi’s first theatrical lead since Double XL in 2022 and the ensemble action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2024, the actress hasn’t been away from screens. In recent years, she expanded her repertoire with digital ventures, including the horror-comedy Kakuda (ZEE5) and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar on Netflix.

The official synopsis of Nikita Roy is still under wraps, but the poster hints at a dark, possibly psychological narrative with mystery elements.

Earlier, the producers, in a joint statement, said, “This film is very close to our hearts. It dares to tread where most mainstream films don't and explores a genre we truly believe audiences are ready for. With a powerful cast, a gripping narrative, and Kussh S Sinha's unique vision, we can't wait for the world to experience Nikita Roy on the big screen.”

As Indian cinema approaches the 100th birth anniversary of Guru Dutt, plans are underway to commemorate his life and legacy on a grand scale. Ultra Media & Entertainment Group, which owns the rights to his filmography, has revealed a multi-layered tribute. It will also include the possibility of a biopic and web series adaptations of his most celebrated works.

Biopic in the Pipeline; Vicky Kaushal a Potential Lead Rajat Agrawal, COO and Director at Ultra Media, confirmed that early discussions have begun for a full-length biopic on the legendary filmmaker. A report by Mid-Day quoted Rajat saying, "Biopics are always challenging because they need to emulate an individual’s greatness and achievements. We would be happy to collaborate with producers and a modern-day director who is a fanatic of Guru Dutt," while noting that the company is in talks with two prominent directors.

When asked about who could portray the complexity and sensitivity of Guru Dutt on screen, Agrawal pointed to Vicky Kaushal as a possible candidate. “Naming one actor would be difficult as there is a plethora of talent, but I feel Vicky Kaushal can bring Guru Duttji’s emotional depth,” he added.

In addition to the biopic, Ultra is exploring the idea of adapting some of Dutt’s acclaimed films into web series. While no formal announcements have been made, Agrawal revealed that two well-known directors have shown interest in reimagining the filmmaker’s stories for the digital space. Restored Versions Unveiled at Cannes 2025 Earlier this month, Ultra Media presented restored versions of Guru Dutt's cinematic landmarks — Pyaasa (1957), Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), Chaudhvin Ka Chand (1960), and Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962) — at the Cannes Film Festival 2025, receiving warm response from global audiences. The move is part of a larger initiative to reintroduce Dutt’s works to contemporary viewers while preserving their original charm.

Agrawal emphasized that the restorations stay true to the original black-and-white aesthetic, though a few songs might be colourised as an experiment. “All his movies have been restored in the original black-and-white version to give the same nostalgic feel. However, we are looking at colourising a few songs to see the audience’s reaction.” Nationwide Tribute Ahead of Birth Anniversary In the run-up to Guru Dutt’s birth centenary on July 9, a week-long celebration is being planned across India. The initiative will include theatrical re-releases of the restored classics, curated exhibitions, and panel discussions featuring leading voices from the Indian film industry. The aim is to revisit the genius of a filmmaker who captured human emotion with rare sensitivity and cinematic innovation.

The Hero actor described her as self-made, resilient, and unwavering in her decisions, despite the many personal challenges she has faced over the years.

“I would love to be a father like my father, and I would love to be a partner like my mother," said Sooraj. “She holds the whole family together, and she has really been through a lot because of us. A day after celebrating his 53rd birthday, Karan Johar unveiled the release date of his next production, Dhadak 2. Starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii

Dimri in lead roles, the film is slated to hit cinemas on August 1, 2025. The announcement came alongside two emotionally charged posters, offering a glimpse into the film’s intense narrative.

In both posters, Siddhant and Triptii are seen in a tearful embrace, set against a moody blue backdrop. The tagline, “Marne aur ladne mein se ek ko chunna ho… to ladna,” signals a story steeped in resistance and resilience. The rawness of the visuals suggests that Dhadak 2 will diverge significantly from the tone of its predecessor.

A post shared by Karan Johar (@karanjohar)

CBFC Roadblock Cleared With Cuts Earlier this year, Bollywood Hungama was the first to report that Dhadak 2 had run into trouble at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film, based on caste oppression, was initially stuck due to its sensitive content. It has now been cleared with a U/A 16+ rating, though not without significant alterations.

According to The Hindu, several dialogues were revised, especially those referencing caste history and discrimination. Phrases like “3,000 years of backlog” and caste-specific slurs were replaced or muted. A scene involving public urination was removed entirely, while another sequence showing the humiliation of a character’s father was trimmed. The CBFC also modified a poem recital and requested a revised disclaimer, now extended to 1 minute and 51 seconds and to be read aloud during the film. Run Time and Background Dhadak 2 is a Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal, directed by Mari Selvaraj. The remake is helmed by Shazia Iqbal, who makes her directorial debut with the project. With a runtime of 2 hours and 26 minutes, the film aims to bring caste-based social injustice to the forefront, a thematic pivot from the romanticism of the original Dhadak (2018).

It is produced by Dharma Productions in association with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures.

John Abraham launched the graphic novel, ‘Lakadbaggha: The Prologue’, written by actor-filmmaker Anshuman Jha and illustrated by American Comic book artist Brittain Peck. The novel is based on the film Lakadbaggha (2023), which starred Anshuman in the lead role of an animal vigilante. Ridhi Dogra, who also featured in the film, also graced the launch. At the event, John Abraham gave some headline-worthy quotes and also confirmed his upcoming projects.

John Abraham revealed, “Very interestingly, my director has written a comic book called ‘Munkeeman’. We are making a film on it now. It's interesting to talk about it. The name of the director is Abhishek Sharma. I have done a film with him called Parmanu (2018). He's a very smart and intelligent guy. The subject matter is something very interesting. I love animals and that's why we are doing that movie.”

‘Munkeeman’ was launched in 2012. It is inspired by the Monkey Man incident that occurred that year in Delhi. The synopsis of the book on the internet is as follows, “In the summer of 2001 a strange creature created panic and chaos in the city of Delhi. No one had an explanation or clue about his true identity. Then suddenly one day he vanished, never to return until today Munkeeman is back. And he wants you to know that he is not a monster, but India’s own authentic superhero.” Abhishek Sharma also directed films like Tere Bin Laden (2010) and Ram Setu (2022).

Bipasha Basu is revisiting one of the boldest and most defining roles of her career — her 2003 film Jism. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the actress shared how her decision to take up the film was met with strong opposition from everyone around her, including her own manager.

“Jism was the time when I was at the peak, and everyone told me you cannot do adult content film. You are like the typical Hindi heroine who is established in people's hearts now. And I said, I just like the story so much. I said I'll go ahead and do it. Everybody stopped me from doing it. My manager thought I had gone crazy,” Bipasha recalled.

The film, which co-starred John Abraham and featured a sultry narrative, went on to become a critical and commercial success. It not only pushed the envelope in terms of content but also redefined Bipasha's image in the industry—from a conventional Bollywood heroine to a risk-taker who wasn’t afraid of breaking stereotypes.

Looking back, Bipasha believes Jism didn’t just change her career trajectory but also sparked a style revolution among women at the time. “It worked for me and then things changed. Women suddenly were tonging their hair. They wore a bronze look. There was no stereotypical (thing) that the woman can't play the negative character. It all changed after that. So, it's been path-breaking for me. That has been one very important film,” she said.

Directed by Amit Saxena and produced by Pooja Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt, Jism marked a new chapter in Bollywood’s portrayal of sensuality and female characters, with Bipasha taking on a bold and complex role that few actresses at the time were willing to explore. Her performance in Jism received widespread acclaim, and the film is still remembered today for its bold storytelling, music, and aesthetic visuals. More importantly, it opened up space for female actors to explore darker, more layered roles without being confined to traditional portrayals.

Speaking of her current work commitments, Bipasha Basu has been exploring multiple avenues along with motherhood. The actress is yet to announce about her comeback projects.

The ongoing controversy surrounding Hera Pheri 3 has taken a fresh turn with veteran actor Paresh Rawal's legal team addressing claims against him. In a conversation with Times of India, Rawal’s lawyer clarified that the actor was never presented with a script or any substantial content from the team working under Akshay Kumar’s production banner.

Rawal’s legal team has also questioned the grounds on which the production house is claiming losses when, according to them, no material—script or agreement—was in place in the first place. According to recent reports, a legal notice has been sent to Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal by none other than the original producer – Firoz Nadiadwala. The notice reportedly prohibits all four from participating in any promos, endorsements, or activities related to the Hera Pheri franchise. It further claimed that proceeding with such activities will be considered a wilful breach, asserting that the intellectual property (IP) rights to all characters, including Babu Bhaiya, lie with Nadiadwala.

Sources close to the actor also revealed that Akshay Kumar had assured Rawal, saying, “Don’t worry, trust me. You’ll see it later in the longform agreement.” Based on this assurance and his longstanding rapport with Kumar, Paresh Rawal is expected to have signed the term sheet in good faith. The promo for Hera Pheri 3 was eventually shot on a modified version of the Bhooth Bangla set. However, it was initially intended for a 2026 start, and Rawal had suggested postponing the promo shoot to the following year. As of now, the actor has not received any long-term agreement, script, or formal production information, sources added.

Reports also suggested that the actor has a deep-rooted connection with the beloved character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, popularly known as Babu Bhaiya, and hence, sought clarity before proceeding further with the project.

The actor’s legal team told Times of India, “Admittedly, they did not deliver the story, screenplay and also a draft of a long form agreement which was fundamental to the engagement of our client. In the absence of these and also since Mr. Nadiadwala, the producer of the original films, issued notice to our client and raised issues on the making of the film, our client chose to exit and returned the money with interest by terminating the Term sheet.”

With mounting legal tensions and blame games, the fate of Hera Pheri 3 remains uncertain.

The recent row between Bhool Chuk Maaf and PVR has brought to the fore many complaints from the producers about the national chains. One of them is that the makers are asked to pay if they want to put up posters or standees and to play trailers of their films. Girish Johar, producer and film business analyst, wrote on his social media pages, “Asking for monies to be paid for trailer playing, film publicity displays at their sites, cinemas which are already in red are further going downhill. With OTT onslaught sitting on their head, they should instead comfort producers & give them ease of doing business, so that more makers are encouraged to take risks & choose the big screen release instead... the exhibition community should avoid nailing their own coffin !!”

We asked Girish Johar to comment more on this aspect. He said, “The cinemas have started asking monies against showcasing film publicity, be it trailers, digital posters, video walls, etc. It is apparently one of the major sources of revenue for theatres. A certain set of producers have started paying for it. This puts the pressure on even other producers. Small-time filmmakers tend to give in. To each its own I feel. But there should not be a blanket rule for everyone in this regard.”

A multiplex official on condition of anonymity revealed how this model works, “They charge Rs. 10,000 per property roughly for it. But usually, they do a package deal. They’ll ask you to pay Rs. 15-20 lakhs. In return, they’ll not just install your film standee and digital poster but also play the trailer of the film, that too in 200-250 of their multiplexes. Sometimes, the deal also includes the film banner on the multiplex’s website or booking app. The producers include this spend under ‘marketing activity’. It’s an additional cost to the producer.”

The official continued, “Pre-pandemic, this used to happen very rarely. But post-pandemic, this has increased as everything is under the red. They realized this is a nice way to earn additional moolah, not realizing that they are killing the same hand that feeds them.”

A duty manager from a prominent multiplex said, “Many non-national chains don’t charge at all for posters or standees. We put it up for free. However, playing the trailer incurs a charge.”

Vishek Chauhan, owner of Roopbani Cinema in Purnia, Bihar, commented on this matter saying, “I have heard that the multiplexes charge. I am not sure whether they are doing it or not. But if they do, toh isse bada ghatiya kaam aur kuchh nahin ho sakta hai! If a shopkeeper sells Coca-Cola and decided to install its standee, is he going to charge for it from the soft drink brand? Of course not. This doesn’t happen in any business.”

He continued, “This is the reason why the multiplex business is so messed up in India. These multiplexes, especially PVR Inox, have completely destroyed the sheer fabric of the exhibition sector. It’s no wonder that in 1995, there were 25,000 screens in India before the multiplex era. 30 years later, the number has down to 9000.”

Producer Pahlaj Nihalani, who runs a revamped single-screen Nishat in Mumbai, lashed out at this practice. He said, “PVR Inox has been charging for it since the very start. Then, a lot of new producers came in. Also, many actors turned producers. These people had no qualms about paying for it. Soon, it became a standard practice. What is saddening is that there’s a possibility that your film might not play in some theatres where your trailer is being screened. A viewer has come to see ‘A’ film; he’ll see the trailer of ‘B’ film in the interval and decides to watch it. But then, the film might not get showcasing in that cinema hall. Isn’t that unfair to the producers and also to the moviegoers?”

He made it clear that in the single-screen era, there was never a question of paying to play trailers or install standees. “They never charged and even now, they don’t,” he added. “However, if the projection system in a single screen is provided by a third party like UFO, then they’ll charge.”

Pahlaj continued, “Single screens continue to have great relations with filmmakers. Sadly, the same can’t be said about the multiplexes. They squeeze money in every way possible from us. They are killing new talent and ruining the film business.”

He also said that this practice hurts makers but there’s no solution to it, “There’s no industry leader among producers who can talk about these things. Most of them have isolated fights. It happened with Dinesh Vijan (with Bhool Chuk Maaf). Earlier, Ronnie Screwvala was also alone when he spoke about VPF. His next film (Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota; 2019) didn’t get shows in some theatres as he went against them. Imagine if all the producers rise together and decide not to give films to them. Phir yeh log kahan jaayenge?”

Trade veteran Taran Adarsh, however, had a different point of view, “Today, everything is commercial. The multiplexes are allowing the space in their property to install the standee and are also playing the trailer on the screen. Hence, they feel that they need to be compensated because even they are paying higher rent. It’s a circle.”

He added, “I have seen standees being put up of OTT show. Their promo is also screened before the film or during the interval. The multiplexes obviously would charge for it. Why would they play for free?”

Vishek Chauhan, meanwhile, continues to have reservations on this model. He said, “Theatres should not be charging for all this. It’s a matter of pride to put up a poster in your theatres. That’s our primary job – to promote films. If films work, I’ll be at an advantage. And if I am asking the producer to pay for it, then nothing can be more shameless.”

Bollywood’s much-awaited war-drama Ikkis now has a release date! Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films has officially announced that the film will hit cinemas on Thursday, October 2, 2025, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday known for strong box office openings.

Helmed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis marks the acclaimed director’s return after the success of Badlapur under the Maddock banner. The film brings together a powerhouse ensemble — veteran legend Dharmendra, rising star Agastya Nanda (grandson of megastar Amitabh Bachchan), and the critically acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat.

Ikkis is based on the extraordinary real-life story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a Param Vir Chakra (PVC) awardee who displayed unmatched courage and made the ultimate sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film promises to blend emotional depth, patriotic fervor, and gripping storytelling — hallmarks of Raghavan’s unique narrative style.

This is Agastya Nanda’s second major film after his debut, and Ikkis positions him in a challenging, emotionally rich role that could cement his place in Bollywood’s next-gen talent. For Dharmendra, the film marks a return to intense drama, while Jaideep Ahlawat’s inclusion hints at a layered, possibly commanding performance.

Backed by Maddock Films, Ikkis is already being touted as one of 2025’s most awaited films, both for its subject and for the collaboration of some of the industry’s finest talents.

Interestingly, by choosing this release date, Ikkis will be clashing at the box office with Rishab Shetty’s Pan-India film Kantara: Chapter 1, which is a prequel to his 2022 surprise hit Kantara.

In a landmark moment for Maharashtra's remote tribal belt, mobile theatre company PictureTime has launched the state’s first state-of-the-art inflatable cinema hall in Gadchiroli, with the premiere screening of Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava. This unique initiative brings the magic of the big screen to a region previously untouched by modern cinema infrastructure.

Located in one of Maharashtra’s most underserved districts — with over 90% of its population residing in rural areas — Gadchiroli is now home to a high-tech, fully air-conditioned inflatable theatre equipped with 5.1 Dolby sound, digital projection, and 120 push-back seats. This initiative is aimed at making world-class cinema accessible to the 10-lakh-strong population of the district at affordable ticket prices of just ₹150.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Chhaava, which chronicles the life of Maratha warrior Sambhaji Maharaj, was chosen as the debut screening to spark cultural interest and revive cinema-going habits in the region.

The launch event, held on May 22, saw attendance from key dignitaries including Dr. Milindji Narote (MLA, Gadchiroli Assembly Constituency), Avishyant Panda (IAS, Collector, Gadchiroli), Mr. Prashantji Waghare (BJP Zilha Adhyaksh), and Mr. Surajit Roy (COO & President, PictureTime) among others.

Following the inauguration, the cinema hall kicks off regular programming with two films: Ata Thambaycha Naay (Marathi) and Kesari Veer (Hindi) starring Suniel Shetty. Speaking at the launch, Sushil Chaudhary, Founder & CEO of PictureTime, said, “At PictureTime, our mission has always been to democratize cinema by taking it to the remotest corners of India — places where the magic of the big screen has long remained out of reach. The launch of our inflatable theatre in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, with the screening of Chhaava, and our recent expansion into Bommidi, Tamil Nadu, mark important milestones in this journey. We believe that access to cinema is not just about entertainment — it’s about inclusion, inspiration, and creating shared cultural experiences for every Indian, no matter where they live,” he added.

The inflatable theatre has been set up as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the Municipal Corporation of Gadchiroli, which will own the infrastructure, while PictureTime will manage programming and operations.

Looking ahead, the programming will include a mix of Marathi and Hindi mainstream releases, along with a dedicated effort to screen films from independent filmmakers who often struggle with theatrical distribution.

PictureTime has already made waves with similar inflatable cinemas across India, including locations such as Ladakh (the world’s highest theatre), Kishtwar (J&K), Asifabad (Telangana), Bapatla and Nagaur (Rajasthan), and Khatima (Uttarakhand) — continuing its mission to transform cinema access across the nation.

We had earlier reported that in a major setback to the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3, Akshay Kumar and his production house Cape of Good Films has reportedly taken legal action against veteran actor Paresh Rawal for abruptly backing out of the project. Advocate Pooja Tidke, representing the production house, confirmed that a legal notice has been issued, citing breach of contract and damages amounting to Rs 25 crores.

According to the legal team, Rawal had officially committed to the film earlier this year and even began shooting. “Stakeholders had met, confirmed the production of the film. In fact, Paresh ji had tweeted about the film sometime in the end of January, indicating very clearly that he would be associated with it. Thereafter, there were contracts entered into, the shooting for the trailer began. In fact, there was some portion about three or three and a half minutes of the film itself that had been shot,” said Tidke in a statement to PTI.

Advocate Pooja Tidke, on behalf of #AkshayKumar 's production house, speaks on #HeraPheri3 #PareshRawal exit casepic.twitter.com/ewEejmZSBC — Akshay Kumar Fans Group (@AKFansGroup) May 22, 2025

However, the situation took a sharp turn in May, when Rawal allegedly revealed to Bollywood Hungama about him no longer being a part of the film. The sudden withdrawal has reportedly shocked the cast and crew. “It’s taken everybody by surprise”. “There have been expenses incurred towards the cast, towards the crew, towards leading senior actors, logistics, equipment, shooting of the trailer,” she shared and continued, “Trailers have been shot and released. So, there's been a substantial amount of money already invested in the film. Shooting had begun. Of course, you know, everyone's synchronized schedules are now disrupted. Professionally, it's affected everyone,”

The advocate further elaborated on the potential fallout, highlighting that the production house had already paid Rs 11 lakhs to Rawal and had begun shooting based on the contractual agreement. “These are damages towards the losses suffered on account of a unilateral pullback from the film after having committed, acted upon the contract that he had already entered into. Of course, the production house paying senior actors, the production house has incurred its own costs”, Tidke noted.

The legal notice served gives Rawal a seven-day window to respond, a period that is set to end in the next couple of days. “So far, there's been no development since then. It is true. We have issued a legal notice”. “While also expressing hope for an amicable resolution, she mentioned, “I'm sure parties are talking to each other and trying to work things out”, and concluded, “Let's hope things work out. It's good for all the stakeholders in the film. It's good for the audience. It's good for the franchise. It's a very beloved franchise. So, let's see what happens”.

As per current reports, no new update has emerged since the notice was sent, but sources suggest that informal conversations may be underway to resolve the issue out of court. The Hera Pheri franchise, known for its cult status and comic timing, continues to face uncertainty as fans eagerly await clarity on the future of its third installment.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her second red carpet appearance at the Festival de Cannes 2025 with yet another look that seamlessly fused Indian heritage with global haute couture. After captivating audiences with her first ensemble earlier this week, the L'Oréal Paris ambassador returned to the spotlight wearing a statement creation by designer Gaurav Gupta — and true to form, she brought with her a message rooted in tradition and meaning.

Her black sculptural gown, titled the ‘Heiress of Clam,’ featured a dramatic, draped silhouette reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. Embellished with a cosmic burst of metallic hues and glass crystals, the gown exuded both mysticism and elegance. But it was her cape that truly stole the show — a regal Banarasi brocade handwoven in Varanasi and inscribed with a Sanskrit shloka from the Bhagavad Gita: "Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana", a verse that encourages selfless action without attachment to outcomes. This added a philosophical and distinctly Indian depth to her couture appearance, a motif she has consistently embraced over her years at Cannes.

Going by her previous look which included the addition of Benarasi Silk and Sindoor and other culture elements, it seems that Aishwarya has decided to use fashion as a platform for cultural storytelling this time, not shying away from even adding layers of spiritual context to her looks. While some may label this as overly didactic, it undeniably sets her apart on a red carpet otherwise dominated by trend-driven aesthetics.

Her beauty look was kept elegant and powerful, complementing the overall grandeur of the ensemble. With dewy skin, bold eyeliner, and a signature red lip, the makeup subtly elevated the dramatic effect of the gown. Her hair, rich and glossy in her signature brown shade, was styled to enhance her commanding presence.

Celebrating its 28th year at Cannes, L'Oréal Paris marked the occasion with the theme "Lights, Beauty, Action" — a fitting backdrop for Aishwarya's larger-than-life presence. With the second look of this season being appreciated as well, the actress seems to have charmed audience this time by staying true to her persona of grace and elegance!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan returned to the Cannes red carpet this year in a powerful tribute to Indian handloom and heritage, donning a bespoke ivory Banarasi saree by Manish Malhotra. The former Miss World, who has long been associated with the festival, made a memorable appearance in a handwoven kadwa Banarasi drape paired with a shimmering tissue veil and an imperial set of heirloom rubies from the Manish Malhotra Jewellery line.

The saree, rooted in India’s centuries-old weaving tradition, showcased kadwa technique detailing—an intricate handloom artistry that reflects the richness of Varanasi's textile legacy. With the caption calling her the “OG Indian Queen of Cannes,” Malhotra highlighted not just the craftsmanship but also Aishwarya’s consistent presence as a representative of Indian fashion on a global platform.

Styled by Allia Al Rufai and Nayaab Randhawa, Aishwarya’s look went beyond visual elegance. The actress opted for a mid-partition hairstyle by Stephane Lancien, and her makeup - done by Kavyesh Sharma—was classic yet impactful. Red lipstick and a vivid streak of sindoor added cultural symbolism to the ensemble, with many online noting the use of vermillion as a possible ode to Operation Sindoor - India’s recent military response following the tragic Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 28 civilians. Whether intended or not, the symbolism has sparked conversations about the actress’ silent support towards her nation as many believed that she remained silent during the India-Pakistan conflict situation.

A post shared by Manish Malhotra (@manishmalhotra05)

Meanwhile, some others see it as a subtle personal statement wherein Aishwarya has indirectly addressed the ongoing speculation regarding her separation rumours with actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan with this traditional red-carpet moment—particularly the use of sindoor, thereby shutting them down and assuring concerned fans that ‘all is well’.

On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen portraying the layered and enigmatic antagonist Nandini in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan franchise, which released in two parts across 2022 and 2023. The period epic earned her praise for her poised performance and screen presence.

As the actress graced Cannes once again, her appearance in handwoven Indian textiles was less about grandeur and more about grace, symbolism, and celebrating India's craft on an international red carpet.

A biopic on Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, India’s 11th President and renowned aerospace scientist, has been officially announced at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Titled Wings of Fire, the film will be directed by Om Raut, known for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, and will feature National Award-winning actor Dhanush in the lead role.

The project brings together major names from the Indian film industry which includes Abhishek Agarwal under Abhishek Agarwal Arts — the banner behind The Kashmir Files — and Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner who will be coming together to produce the film. The screenplay is penned by Saiwyn Quadras, whose previous writing credits include Neerja, Maidaan, and Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.

The film aims to trace Dr. Kalam’s extraordinary journey — from his modest beginnings in Rameswaram to his rise as one of India’s most respected scientific minds and eventually, the President of the country. Often referred to as the ‘Missile Man of India,’ Dr. Kalam’s legacy continues to inspire generations, most notably through his memoir ‘Wings of Fire’.

Casting Dhanush in the titular role is being described as one of the film’s key moments. The actor, who has earned acclaim for his versatility and emotional depth, will portray a figure deeply cherished by the nation. The film is positioned not just as a political biography, but as an exploration of Dr. Kalam’s values — science, spirituality, education, and leadership.

Director Om Raut, in a statement, said, “In an era starved of true statesmen, Kalam stood above politics and pettiness. He was a man known for the power of education, excellence, and indigenous innovation. To bring his story to screen is an artistic challenge and a moral and cultural responsibility. It’s the most important experience of my life.”

Producer Abhishek Agarwal added, “We are excited to bring the epic life of Dr. Kalam to the big screen. Collaborating with Om Raut, Dhanush, and Bhushan Kumar makes this one of Indian cinema’s most prestigious projects. It is a privilege to tell this story.”

Bhushan Kumar of T-Series said, “Dr. Kalam’s journey continues to inspire millions. We feel honored to be part of a film that pays tribute to such an extraordinary individual. This marks our third collaboration with Om Raut, and our first with Dhanush and Abhishek Agarwal on a story of national significance.”

With production underway, further details remain under wraps. However, with Om Raut’s cinematic vision, Dhanush’s performance, and the support of two major production houses, Wings of Fire is being positioned as a biopic with global reach and national relevance.

After finalising paperwork to be the female lead of Spirit, Deepika Padukone seems to have lost out on the chance to be a part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial with Prabhas. According to very reliable sources, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had a massive fallout with Deepika Padukone, and the actress is now out of his ambitious cop thriller led by Prabhas.

A source shared with Bollywood Hungama, "Sandeep Reddy Vanga got the shock of his life when Deepika Padukone refused to shoot for more than 6 hours a day for Spirit. That's not all, the actress, via her agency, also started to demand an amendment to the contract. Their point of contention was simple - if the shoot extends beyond 100 days, Deepika will have to be paid extra for every single day of shoot beyond the commitment on paper."

The source informed that Sandeep Reddy Vanga discussed this with his producer, who tried his best to bring both the talents on the same page. "However, Deepika and her team were not willing to bow. Sandeep Reddy Vanga eventually told Deepika to back out of the film. He is now looking to recast for the part," the source tells us further.

Apparently, Deepika was charging Rs. 40 crores for Spirit, and post the fallout, Sandeep is looking to cast someone with a lesser price. The film is scheduled to go on floors in October 2025, and the new cast will be locked in a month's time, but one can say with confidence that Sandeep is upset with Deepika Padukone's pattern of working at the moment.

Actor Janhvi Kapoor made her much-anticipated debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival on May 20, before the world premiere of her upcoming film Homebound. For her red carpet appearance, Kapoor embraced Indian craftsmanship by wearing a custom ensemble designed by Tarun Tahiliani and styled by Rhea Kapoor.

The actor’s look seamlessly blended heritage and haute couture. Janhvi donned a soft blush-toned skirt and corset ensemble, crafted from handwoven real tissue fabric sourced from Benares. The outfit’s surface featured a distinctive hand-crushed technique, lending it both depth and texture. A signature Tarun Tahiliani drape added a sculptural fluidity to the silhouette, while the raw, uncut hem was left intentionally untouched, celebrating the authenticity of the weave.

She complemented the ensemble with classic old-world elegance — her makeup was kept minimal with softly defined eyes, pink-hued lips, and radiant skin. Her hair was styled in a low bun, draped in sheer pleated fabric matching her outfit, evoking a sense of vintage romance. Layers of pearl necklaces and a statement diamond pendant completed the look, adding a regal touch to her first Cannes outing.

On the occasion of Jr NTR’s 42nd birthday, Yash Raj Films released the much-anticipated teaser of War 2, officially marking the Telugu superstar’s Bollywood debut. The film, set within the ever-expanding YRF Spy Universe, stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead and is being helmed by Ayan Mukerji.

While War (2019) was directed by Siddharth Anand, its sequel continues the story of Kabir, played by Hrithik Roshan. In War 2, Jr NTR enters the spy franchise as the antagonist, and the teaser gave audiences a brief glimpse into his character, one that appears menacing and calculated. The teaser primarily features a voiceover by Jr NTR, with quick flashes of high-stakes action sequences between him and Hrithik Roshan. Though it avoids revealing much about the plot or characters, the visual tone and intensity suggest a showdown-driven narrative.

Following the teaser drop, Jr NTR took to social media to share a note of gratitude. He wrote, “Sometimes I pause and look back at this journey and every time, it's you who come to mind first. Thank you my dear fans for your constant presence and heartfelt wishes. The response to the War 2 teaser has been incredible. I can't wait for you to experience it on August 14th. A big thank you to all my well wishers, media and colleagues in the industry for your warm wishes. Grateful, always.”

Thank you. pic.twitter.com/62BsFWHKHP — Jr NTR (@tarak9999) May 20, 2025

The teaser received a mixed response online. While many viewers praised Jr NTR’s intense screen presence and the scale of action glimpsed, others felt the teaser could have offered more clarity or visual content. Nonetheless, the announcement dominated social media discussions, especially among Jr NTR’s massive Telugu fanbase.

War 2 is scheduled for release on August 14, 2025, and will be a pan-India project, hitting theatres in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, A R Rahman, Silambarasan T R, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami and Ashok Selvan attended the press conference of their much-awaited Pan India film, Thug Life, at a multiplex in Mumbai. A few weeks ago, there were reports that this much-awaited film would arrive on a digital platform after completing 8 weeks in cinemas. This was a significant move as most Tamil biggies opt to arrive on OTT in just 4 weeks. The national chains, that is, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, have a strict rule of not releasing films that don’t adhere to the eight-week rule. As a result, the trade was excited over this development. With a release in the biggest multiplex chains, the chances of Thug Life scoring, especially in the Hindi version, will be significantly higher.

At the Thug Life Mumbai press conference, Kamal Haasan was asked about it and he confirmed that the reports were indeed true. He said, “It's not even an experiment. It's a pragmatic thing to do. I am glad the OTT platforms agreed and we sat together. It was not a negotiation. It's a plan which maybe others could follow. It'll make the industry healthy. We are glad that we are the first to be there to avail of that opportunity.”

The news comes at a time when Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, is all set to arrive on Amazon Prime Video within two weeks of its theatrical release. The national chains have made an exception with this film due to the intervention of the court.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan was also asked about the box office expectations for his upcoming film. He commented, “We are not looking at 'how big'. But it shouldn't be 'how small' (laughs). We have to look at break-even because it's a business. Mani is from a business school and I am from this business. I grew up in this business. So, you can't disrespect business and do business with the business.”

Thug Life releases in cinemas on June 5 worldwide.

You’re off to Cannes for the restored screening of Satyajit Ray’s Aranyer Din Ratri? Yes, thank God the war situation did not escalate—I wouldn’t have gone if it had. I’m glad Aranyer Din Ratri is being shown at Cannes. The film was actually better appreciated outside India, even when it was originally released. Europe, especially, loved it. It was a big, big hit in Paris. Every time I watched it with an international audience—every time Robi Ghosh came on screen—they clapped and thoroughly enjoyed the film.

Simi Garewal was cast as a tribal. Wasn't that rather unusual? It was rather unusual because the Santhals are generally shorter in stature, and Simi is quite tall.

Also, very sophisticated and urban? She didn’t come across that way in the film… thanks to the makeup and styling. She worked very well in the role. Yes, she was tall—very tall—but no one really noticed. Her height wasn’t a concern in the overall portrayal. Of course, in India—especially in Kolkata—there was some criticism. But her performance was very, very good. In fact, the entire cast was impeccable.

You mentioned earlier that the film was more appreciated abroad? Yes, they understood the alienation of a certain section of society from the mainstream. The class differences, so to speak. There’s a sense of superiority among the group—using English phrases, carrying an air of “I’m better than you.” Ashim, the character Soumitra Chatterjee plays, embodies that quality.

What about your character? I’m sort of the conscience of the plot—the agent of change, really. You have to watch the film to understand it fully. The other characters become slightly better after meeting my character. Soumitra’s character has a subtle relationship with mine—his arrogance is bruised by my quiet defiance. I don’t say much, but he knows I’m a little more clever than him. So, both women in the film impact the men in different, transformative ways. It’s a very subtle film—I can’t really explain the story in words.

Where would you place this film among your vast body of work? Of course, Devi is at the top of my list. Then Apur Sansar. I’d place Aranyer Din Ratri at number three—as far as the character, the experience, and the joy of working on a film goes. The camaraderie with the co-actors, the location—Palamu was a very challenging place to shoot in. And the film remains incredibly contemporary and relevant even today. The black-and-white cinematography looked stunning—the sharpness of the forest worked beautifully.

Ray shot the film himself. Yes, with Aranyer Din Ratri, Manikda went solo. Subrata Mitra wasn’t involved in this film.

But Soumendu Roy was there, right? Soumendu Roy handled the lighting, but Manikda operated the camera himself for the first time. After this film, he started doing more and more on his own—camera, dialogues, costumes, wardrobe—everything.

Not many people know this. Yes, it’s not widely known. But Ray’s versatility was extraordinary. Maybe it was also because he didn’t have much money to work with—that pushed him to take charge of every department himself.

Many years later, Goutam Ghose remade Aranyer Din Ratri as Abar Aranye? Yes, that was a tribute to Manikda. I won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for that film. It was very well received.

Did you reprise the same character? Yes, we all retained the same names. Tabu was a new addition, but otherwise we had Soumitra Chatterjee, Shubhendu Chatterjee… Samit Bhanja, though he was battling cancer at the time. He wasn’t well, but he still chose to be a part of the film. He was very happy to work. Despite his illness, he wanted to be with us. Who does that kind of thing today? It was amazing—the dedication of those days. That was his last film. He made a real effort because he wanted to be part of it.

Sharmila Tagore and Simi Garewal made a striking appearance at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival as they attended the screening of the restored version of Aranyer Din Ratri, one of Satyajit Ray’s most acclaimed works. The film was showcased in the Cannes Classics section after a six-year-long restoration led by American filmmaker Wes Anderson.

Draped in a simple yet elegant emerald-green saree, Sharmila Tagore exuded timeless charm with her minimalistic jewellery and graceful presence on the red carpet. Accompanying her was her daughter and jewellery designer Saba Pataudi, who was seen in a bright yellow floral ethnic ensemble. Saba shared several glimpses from their Cannes experience on social media and wrote a reflective caption alongside her pictures, saying, “Let the party begin....! Moments before the Red carpet .... scene. In the midst of chaos was calm. Hectic yet happy. Frenzy and fantastic. And self conscious. Mixed emotions coursing through , yet here is a chance to explore the NEW. Always start afresh . Believe in yourself and make the most of opportunities. They're there today. Simi Garewal, another iconic figure from Indian cinema, opted for her signature all-white ensemble created by designer Karleo. True to her classic style, Simi brought an air of understated elegance to the red carpet in her all-white embroidered outfit and a matching chunky necklace among her other low-key accessories.

Social media was abuzz with photos and videos from the evening, with fans and cinephiles celebrating the presence of Indian legends at a global platform and lauding the film’s restored version. Many hailed the moment as a proud tribute to Indian cinema’s golden legacy, now shining afresh in 4K resolution.

Aranyer Din Ratri, originally released in 1970, is a poignant Bengali drama that follows four friends who leave the city behind for a holiday in the forests of Palamau, only to face a series of introspective and transformative encounters. The film is based on the novel by the same name written by Sunil Gangopadhyay and the cast includes Sharmila Tagore, Simi Garewal, Soumitra Chatterjee, and Subhendu Chatterjee. Its restored version was long awaited and the Cannes screening served as a reminder of Ray’s enduring cinematic legacy and global relevance.

Amidst wrapping up the shoot for Bhooth Bangla, actor Akshay Kumar spent the weekend in Kerala engaging in creative discussions with OMG 2 director Amit Rai. The duo reportedly used the final leg of the horror-comedy shoot as an opportunity to flesh out early ideas for the third installment in the Oh My God franchise.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Amit Rai accompanied Akshay Kumar to Kerala during the three-day song shoot of Bhooth Bangla, where they extensively discussed potential narratives for OMG 3. The report quoted a source saying, “Amit Rai had multiple ideas for OMG 3, and he discussed all the plot points with Akshay Kumar throughout the stay. The duo brainstormed over various directions the story could take. The intent is to continue the most loved franchise, and take the third part on floors in 2026.”

Both Akshay and Amit reportedly shared a strong creative rapport over the weekend. As of now, Amit Rai is working on developing a draft that could shape the third chapter of the courtroom social dramedy series. “Following the success of OMG and OMG 2, the stakes are high. The makers are in no hurry to rush through the process. They want the story to carry the franchise’s legacy while introducing fresh elements,” the source added.

If everything falls into place, OMG 3 is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2026. The casting will be finalised once the script is locked, but the tone of the film is expected to remain consistent with the earlier parts, tackling social themes through a courtroom setting with a touch of satire.

Singer and reality TV personality Rahul Vaidya has made headlines after revealing that he turned down a lucrative professional offer from Turkey, citing the country’s stance post Operation Sindoor. His decision comes days after actress Rupali Ganguly publicly called for a boycott of Turkey, criticizing the country’s support to Pakistan following the Indian military operation.

In an interview with Bombay Times, Vaidya opened up about his choice and said that no amount of money could sway him when it came to prioritizing national interest. “The offer was lucrative—they were paying me Rs 50 lakh. But I told them that no work, no money, and no fame is bigger than the interest of the country. They even offered me more, but I made it clear that it wasn’t about the money. This issue is far more important than that. It’s not about me as an individual; it’s about the nation. And we have to stand by our nation," he said.

Rahul, who gained immense popularity after his stint in Indian Idol and Bigg Boss, made it clear that patriotism holds greater value to him than international exposure or financial gain. “I have no interest in going to a country that is an enemy of my country and does not respect it. Whatever I am today is because of my country and my fellow countrymen. Anyone who goes against the interests of my country and countrymen will not be entertained,” he added.

Vaidya further highlighted how Indian citizens have significantly contributed to Turkey’s tourism and hospitality industry in recent years, especially through high-end destination weddings and luxury vacations. Expressing his disappointment, he said, “Indians spend so much money in Turkey and give them enormous business by hosting weddings there. We give them revenue worth crores and this is how they respond? How can we continue spending money in a country that isn’t even loyal to us?"

Rahul Vaidya’s stance has garnered attention on social media as more public figures express concern over geopolitical ties and national dignity igniting conversations around responsible global engagement and cultural diplomacy continue to intensify in the entertainment industry.

Reports are doing the rounds that Shraddha Kapoor is no longer a part of Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming thriller. However, filmmaker Rahi Anil Barve, who is said to be directing the film, has seemingly dismissed the rumours. “These are all rumours. Everything is a rumor,” Barve told Bombay Times when asked about Shraddha’s exit. He did not confirm or deny her departure but added a cryptic note: “Right now all I can say is that I'm finishing Rakt Brahmand. I am working on my next. That's it.”

Readers may recall that Bollywood Hungama reported that Shraddha reportedly asked for a fee of Rs 17 crores, along with a share in the film’s profits. This would have made her one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. However, the latest PeepingMoon report stated that Ekta Kapoor found the amount too high, especially considering the challenges faced by women-led films at the box office.

Due to this, the film’s budget may have been impacted, and the producers have now started looking for a new lead. The report added that the makers are in talks with several top actresses to step in.

Meanwhile, Shraddha is said to be exploring multiple projects. She is reportedly in talks with Dinesh Vijan, Boney Kapoor, and Bhushan Kumar. A formal announcement about her next project is expected within the next two months.

While there has been no official confirmation from Shraddha Kapoor or Ekta Kapoor's team, director Rahi Anil Barve has resumed work on his upcoming web series Rakt Brahmand. The fantasy drama stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ali Fazal. It was earlier delayed due to financial issues but is now set to begin filming in Mumbai next month. Barve is expected to focus on Ekta’s thriller only after finishing this project.
