Actor Anil Kapoor marked the 35th anniversary of his film Parinda, calling it “the most powerful film ever made” on Sunday. He shared the film’s poster and a message on his Instagram Stories.

The message read, “35 years ago, we had the audacity, the confidence, and the cool arrogance to call it 'the most powerful film ever made.' And to this day, Parinda continues to stand the test of time.”

He recalled the time and added, “Looking back, it still surprises me that we dared to put that on the poster and that audiences embraced it so wholeheartedly. Thank you for keeping Parinda alive in your hearts after all these years. Here's to a legacy that remains timeless! #35yearsofParinda.”

The 1989 criminal drama also stars Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, and Madhuri Dixit. Vidhu Vinod Chopra co-wrote, produced, and directed the film.

It is a criminal drama about brothers Kishen (Jackie) and Karan (Anil), who live in Mumbai. Karan falls in love with Paro (Madhuri), a friend's gorgeous sister, but leaves India to study in America.

On the work front, Anil Kapoor will next be seen in Subedaar, alongside Radhikka. Prime Video took to its official Instagram account and announced the beginning of the shoot and also shared Anil Kapoor’s look from the film.

Actor Salman Khan has returned to Hyderabad’s grand Taj Falaknuma Palace to continue filming for his highly anticipated 2025 release, Sikandar. Despite recent concerns around his safety and security, Khan is pressing ahead with the film’s shoot at this storied palace, a location that holds sentimental value for him. The actor arrived in Hyderabad with his crew, preparing for an intensive schedule alongside director AR Murugadoss and co-star Rashmika Mandanna.

Filming at the Iconic Taj Falaknuma Palace Hyderabad’s Taj Falaknuma Palace, known for its regal architecture and rich history, serves as the backdrop for some key scenes in Sikandar. A video circulating on social media captures the palace's courtyard and exteriors adorned with fairy lights, creating a magical setting for the shoot. Salman Khan’s connection to this location dates back to 2014 when his sister, Arpita Khan, married actor Aayush Sharma at the palace, making it a memorable venue for him and his family.

The crew reportedly arrived a day early to ensure smooth preparations. Given the palace’s grandeur, Khan and Murugadoss’s team were keen to make full use of its lavish ambiance for an opulent song sequence.

Action, Drama, and Festivity on Set After a series of high-energy action scenes that have defined the film’s shoot since June, Sikandar is now shifting gears. Khan and Rashmika Mandanna are filming a festive dance number composed by Pritam, moving away from intense action to showcase a lively celebration. The dance sequence, set in a replica of Mumbai’s Dharavi slum, features 200 background dancers, adding a festive vibrancy to the film. Mumbai and Overseas Schedule Following the Hyderabad schedule, the team of Sikandar is expected to continue filming in Mumbai until the end of October. The filmmakers have also planned a European schedule for later in the year to film two romantic tracks, rounding out the film’s narrative with diverse settings. Sikandar stars an ensemble cast, also including Sathyaraj and Kajal Aggarwal, with Khan portraying a ruthless businessman who eventually questions the corrupt practices around him.

In the video, the actor is seen explaining how religion is followed in his house as he shared, "Children should know about value of God, whether it's a Hindu god or a Muslim god. So, next to Ganesh and Laxmi, we have the Quran also. We put our hands together and say the Gayatri Mantra, which my son says, and I say 'bismillah' with him. It makes me feel very emotional, where I'm teaching my children something that I also don't know very well. I'm not a great follower of religion. I believe in Allah very strongly, but I was never forced by my parents to read the namaz five times a day."

As the video continued to showcase how the children prayed and showcased their respect towards both religions and customs, he went on to add, "To me, it's very important to have a Diwali in the house, Eid in the house. We e do Christmas, we put up the tree. The kids enjoy that the most, really."

Ananya Panday celebrated her 26th birthday on October 30, surrounded by family and friends at her home. Her close friend Orhan Awatramani, also known as Orry, gave fans a glimpse into the midnight festivities by sharing a video from the celebrations. The setup at the Panday residence included two cakes, plenty of balloons, and an abundance of birthday cheer to mark the special occasion.

Orry shared a video on his Instagram Stories showing Ananya Panday cutting two cakes during her birthday celebration. Christopher Nolan's admiration for India has been evident throughout his career, with the acclaimed director choosing India as a filming location for two of his notable works, The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Tenet (2020). In The Dark Knight Rises, Nolan filmed parts of Bruce Wayne's journey in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, showcasing India's landscapes as a compelling backdrop. Tenet, a science fiction action thriller, stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Dimple Kapadia in key roles. The story follows a former CIA agent recruited by a secret organization to unravel the mystery of objects moving backward in time and their connection to an impending attack from the future.

The Hindi moviegoers are all set for the biggest clash of the year that will take place tomorrow, Friday, November 1, at the box office, between Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Both films will have a wide release and also overseas. However, moviegoers in some parts won’t be able to enjoy the Diwali biggies while those in Singapore will have to wait until a week to catch the Ajay Devgn-starrer.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Singham Again’s release has been pushed by a week. As per sources, the decision was taken as the Censor process wasn’t completed on time. A source told us, “Singapore Censor Board is very strict and particular and has been known to behave this way. In the past as well, many films have suffered in a similar fashion.”

The source further said, “Singham Again is now expected to release next week, that is, Thursday, November 7.” As per the official press note, Singham Again will have a wide overseas release in 1900 screens, including a record-breaking 197 screens in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. In North America, it will be shown in more than 760 screens and in Canada, it has secured the highest number of screens in Cineplex, which contributes 80% of Canada’s box office. In the UK and Ireland, Singham Again has secured showcasing in 224 cinemas.

Meanwhile, Singham Again and the other Diwali release, the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, have both been banned in Saudi Arabia. As per reports, while Singham Again will not release in the Asian country due to portrayal of 'religious conflict', Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is banned over homosexual references.

Besides Ajay Devgn, Singham Again also stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. It is directed by Rohit Shetty. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, also features Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri.

Vicky Kaushal has consistently spoken about his industry journey, including his challenges. He candidly addresses his anxiety and insecurities. In a recent interview, Vicky revealed that the most effective way to handle anxiety is to recognize it instead of allowing it to take over.

In an interview with Bazaar India, the actor discussed managing anxiety and was asked to share advice for younger creatives facing similar challenges. Vicky responded, “The best thing to do for anxiety is to acknowledge it. The enemy is indulging in it. A senior actor once told me to make anxiety your friend. It’s always going to be there; you just need to master it. Acknowledging it is a great first step.”

In the same interview, Vicky shared that he is curious to explore film direction. He mentioned that he finds it fascinating to see different approaches in filmmaking. However, he is not sure if he would take that step right now, but he is “definitely intrigued.”

Vicky Kaushal's last appearance was in Bad Newz, a romantic comedy directed by Anand Tiwari and featuring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, though it didn’t achieve the expected box office results. He’ll next appear in Chhava, portraying Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The film is set for a December release.

Additionally, Vicky will star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated epic Love & War, with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Originally scheduled for Christmas 2025, the film's release has been moved to March 20, 2026.

The epic clash of Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is all set to take place in less than 48 hours and the excitement is tremendous. However, the exhibition sector was suffering as the show-sharing issues were not getting resolved. Many feared that the conflict would get resolved on Thursday night as it happened during Sooryavanshi vs Eternals clash on Diwali 2021. But in a pleasant turn of events, the show-sharing battle got over on the night of Tuesday, October 29. The advance booking for both films was open across the country soon after.

As per the details accessed by Bollywood Hungama, 60% of the shows have been allotted to Singham Again while 40% of the shows have been given to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. This arrangement can be seen in all major multiplex chains like PVR Inox, MovieMax, NY Cinemas, Rajhans, MovieTime, Miraj etc. However, in Cinepolis theatres, while Singham Again has been given 58% of shows, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has been allotted 42% of shows.

In the single screens, too, the ratio is 60:40 in favour of Singham Again. This means that these cinema halls will play 3 shows of Singham Again and 2 shows of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Certain single screens are known to play only 4 shows a day but this Diwali, they’ll make an exception and have 5 shows daily. Iconic cinemas like Raj Mandir, Jaipur and Liberty, Delhi are going to have 5 shows a day, which is a rare phenomenon.

However, as per sources, some single screen theatres have chosen to allot all shows to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 while some will play Singham Again in all shows. A similar scenario had emerged during the last such mega clash between Dunki and Salaar on Christmas 2023.

Skyhigh ticket rates

Meanwhile, get ready to shell out a huge amount while watching Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The theatres are all set to sell tickets of these films at blockbuster rates. Some multiplexes also have record ticket prices.

For example, PVR Maison at Jio World Drive, BKC, Mumbai are selling tickets for the regular seats (Prime Plus class) for as high as Rs. 1080 for the evening and night shows of Singham Again. And yet, these 2 shows are fast-filling already, which shows that there’s tremendous demand.

On Tuesday, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to social media to share an interesting photo dump that showed glimpses of her recent journey which included all kinds of photos, from her spending time with her family to a photoshoot in Paris to interacting with chefs to many others. Taking to the social media platform Instagram, where Kareena Kapoor Khan is quite active, the actress shared several photos in a post she captioned, “A little piece of my world…” and as aptly described, the actress has shared glimpses from her personal and professional journey. While the first photo featured her in a casual look with her also sporting a cap and looking rather sporty, the third photo features her Nawab husband Saif looking rather handsome in a white kurta and going by his attire and the clear moon, it seems that the couple were spending quality time in a balcony or terrace at what seems like the famous Pataudi place. Apart from that, the actress also shared photos of her kids running, her doing a photoshoot in Paris, visiting Bordeaux, meeting and clicking photos with the chefs, etc.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan is a part of one of the most anticipated releases this year – Singham Again. Starring Ajay Devgn as the male lead, the film features Khan as the leading lady, reprising the role of Avni. The film also features Arjun Kapoor as the lead antagonist along with starry cameos from Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Akshay Kumar. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film plays a key role in his ambitious copverse and is set to hit cinemas on November 1.

Anupama has garnered quite a bit of eyeballs recently and not for a good reason. The sudden exit of some of the most popular actors from the show has definitely piqued the interest of audiences. The Star Plus show, which has managed to keep up with the likes and demands of viewers for the past two years by retaining its top position in terms of TRP, found itself in soup after Sudhanshu Pandey playing Vanraj Shah, one of the three key protagonists on the show, decided to call it quits. Followed by that, a leap was announced which resulted in the exit of most of the actors from the show including Madalsa Sharma, Nidhi Shah, Nishi Saxena, Kunwar Amar, among others.

While during a past interview, Madalsa, who played Kavya in the Star Plus show, opened up about how her relationship with Rupali Ganguly gradually fell apart and even accused of the actress of talking behind her back, Paras Kalnawat and Nidhi Shah too may have hinted about Rupali Ganguly. Although neither of them took names, the two actors asserted that they were facing several issues on the sets of Anupama, which eventually led to their exit. Speaking about how he was thrown out of the show over two years ago in a podcast with Bhaktiyar Irani and Ali Asgar, Paras, who played Anupama’s youngest son Samar, revealed that he wanted out of the show but the contract was such that he couldn’t quit.

“It’s been two and a half years now; I was the first one to leave. It was all of a sudden. I didn’t know if I was quitting or being thrown out. I wanted to leave, but they don’t have a policy where you can quit. They can only fire you; they get satisfaction in doing that. There is no exit clause; if you want to leave, the terms go bad." He also went on to add that he wanted his track to get better but it wasn’t possible because of ‘a certain person’. "I wanted my track to grow, but someone had abruptly ended it. I know who it was. But because it was the number one show, the channel never intervened. If someone said she had a problem shooting with me, no one would question her. Everyone knows who had the problem”, he added.

Nidhi Shah too supported the statement by adding how she had reached her trigger point because of ‘a person’. “There had come a trigger point; it was a person. Our scenes were repetitive, and we kept fighting. At one point, we just didn’t want to do the scenes. There was a time when we just didn’t want to work with each other on the show. We would just want to stay away from each other on set too," she shared and also continued, “My scenes were cut too, and there was an issue with my clothes and hair as well. It happened to me a lot because I was given better clothes.”

When asked directly about facing issues with Rupali Ganguly, Shah maintained, “She is a talented actress, and I’m not just being diplomatic. Out of the ten of us, a couple created issues.”

Apart from speaking about themselves, Nidhi also threw light on the fact that Sudhanshu Pandey was extremely unwell but was forced to shoot long scenes with extensive dialogues.

For the unversed, Anupama is one of the most popular television serials which airs on Star Plus, featuring Rupali in the titular character and is produced by Rajan Shahi.

Amid rumours of his alleged breakup with Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor may have sealed his relationship status recently by making an honest confession at an event. The actor, who was often seen making appearances with Arora, has been making solo appearances of late. Furthermore, many reports have allegedly claimed that the couple parted ways this year, although, neither of the party opened up about the same. However, for fans rooting for the couple, well, Arjun recently confessed that ‘he is single’ on camera.

Readers would be aware that Arjun Kapoor is currently busy with the promotion of Singham Again which promises to feature in a never-seen-before avatar of a menacing antagonist. Veteran film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, gave an interesting trivia related to Amitabh Bachchan. He was talking in the context of the negativity on social media during box office clashes between two big films – in this case Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which are slated to release on November 1.

Taran said, “46 years ago, a film named Kasme Vaade releases. Amitabh Bachchan’s success was sky high at that time. The film also had Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Rakhee. Ramesh Behl, who is Goldie Behl’s father, had made this film. The next Friday a film called Besharam releases. It had Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore and Deven Verma, the great character actor, was the director.”

He added, “In the third week comes Yash Chopra’s multi-starrer, which had Sanjeev Kumar, Shashi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan, Trishul. It was written by Salim-Javed, who are also big superstars. So, Kasme Vaade, Besharam and Trishul all had Amitabh Bachchan. Wait, then on the fourth Friday releases Don. It has Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, and (writers) Salim-Javed again and Chandra Barot was the director. On all four Fridays four Amitabh Bachchan’s films release, out of which Besharam performed average but the other three run for 50, 75 or 100 weeks.”

Taran pointed out that despite this, there was no negativity back then. “Clashes used to happen,” he said. “I have never heard anyone from any of these films utter one negative word for the other film. There were also no fights on someone wanting one theatre and (saying things like) why you are releasing now. Even Amitabh Bachchan never put any pressure that his four films are releasing in four weeks, although he was number 1 to number 10.”

He said that something like this is unthinkable today. “Can you imagine in today’s times that Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan releases this Friday, Jawan releases on the next Friday, Dunki releases on third Friday and in the fourth week maybe King releases? We can’t imagine but at that time it happened,” he said.

Taran added that all this was accepted practice back then. “The industry had accepted that these films will come, and you won’t be able to avoid it,” he said. “There are more examples where they have clashed and there was no negativity, partly also because there was no social media in those days. The media used to write. There used to be media in those days, which was aggressive also. But there was no negativity.”

Explaining the grim situation today, Taran said, “Today I see people celebrating (someone’s) failure instead of celebrating someone’s happiness. We form groups and clans. Like, I have to say bad things about this and good things about that. I have been noticing this for quite a few years. But you will have to live with social media.”

While the Telugu film industry has made an impact globally with RRR taking the fame to the international level, the industry has also received much love from other film industries within the country. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently was seen appreciating the film world and its contributions to Indian Cinema as he recently got together with some of the prominent names from the industry to celebrate the work of the late Nageswara Rao Akkineni.

At the ceremony, which was hosted by Nagarjuna and the rest of the Akkineni family, saw Amitabh Bachchan felicitating Chiranjeevi for his immense contribution to the industry. He went on to continue and recite words from one of the most popular works of his father and renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. “In it, he speaks of how his friends tell him he must write a will stating what he plans to leave for his sons, as nowadays a son often needs to go to court to prove he is his father’s son,” he explained. He went on to quote the powerful lines: “Mere bete, bete hone se mere uttaradhikari nahi honge. Jo mere uttaradhikari honge, woh mere bete honge (Being born as my son, doesn’t make you my heir. The one who is my true heir is my son). Nag, you and your family have proven that you are the true inheritors of this great personality”, he added.

The acclaimed film Haider (2014) completed 10 years on October 2. Starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu and Kay Kay Menon, it is considered one of the finest films by director Vishal Bhardwaj. It is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello and is set in Kashmir where a young student goes on a path of self-destruction after his father is murdered. One of the most memorable parts of the film is when Shahid Kapoor performs the haunting song ‘Bismil’. The song was shot at Martand Sun Temple in Kashmir and thanks to this film, this historical place became widely popular among tourists. It’s a great example of how film tourism can impact tourism positively.

This piece of information was shared by Vishal Bhardwaj when he attended the Tourism Development Enclave in Srinagar earlier this year. Along with Vishal, prominent film personalities like Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan and Sanjay Suri also graced this event. Here, Vishal Bhardwaj revealed that ‘Bismil’ led to a spike in the footfalls at Martand Sun Temple. The filmmaker further said that the increase in tourist activity prompted the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) to remove encroachments from the site.

The Martand Sun Temple is located around 10 km away from the town of Anantnag in Kashmir and was constructed in the eighth century BC.

‘Bismil’ was penned hauntingly by Gulzar and interestingly, this is the second song of the acclaimed lyricist to be shot in Martand Sun Temple. His much loved song ‘Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi Shikwa Toh Nahi’ from his directorial venture Aandhi (1975), featuring Suchitra Sen and Sanjeev Kumar, was incidentally also shot in the same place.

Coming back to 'Bismil', the song has also been loved for the thought behind it. Vishal Bhardwaj, in a recent interview with The Times of India, revealed his inspiration behind the visuals of the track, “We created this song like a mousetrap where Shahid performs a play within a play. I wanted to create our own ‘Ek Hasina Thi Ek Deewana Tha’ moment in my way for Hamlet (laughs). Karz (1980) had a similar situation where Rishi Kapoor performed in front of Simi Garewal about the murder.”

‘Bismil’ helped choreographer Sudesh Adhana win the National Award. On this, Vishal said, “I used long, oversized puppets by Dadi Pudumjee, a great puppeteer, and he introduced me to Sudesh. I worked with them for two months in Paris, and right after that, I started shooting Haider. I brought all the sensibilities I learned during the opera, working with Dadi Pudumjee and Sudesh. It was so unconventional, so un-Bollywood-like. I'm saying this and I belong to Bollywood. And Sudesh won a National Award for that choreography.”

The song has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh. In The Times of India interview, Vishal Bhardwaj revealed, “Sukhwinder ko bahut khula gaane ki aadat hai - he's used to improvise a lot - but I told him, 'Is gaane mein track pe gaana padega, this is like an opera. We are telling a story in it'. Itna khoobsurat Gulzar sahab ne likha hai. I had only given him the phrase ‘Bismil Bismil Bulbule Bismil’, and from that, he wrote an entire epic. He’s a master.”

After reports of her first film Bedhadak being shelved, star kid and social media diva Shanaya Kapoor has been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to make her screen debut. And it seems that she has bagged an interesting venture which will feature her alongside popular actor Vikrant Massey, basking in the success of 12th Fail. The film in question is a romantic drama titled Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and while reports of the same started surfacing earlier this month, the makers along with the cast have confirmed that the film has gone on floors.

Vikrant Massey confirmed the news by posting pictures on his social media platform. The actor along with the entire team of the film shared a photo of them holding a clapperboard as they commenced the shoot for their upcoming venture. Speaking about the film, it is described as, “Love is Blind… or is it the blind love? What is extraordinary is falling in love!” in the caption. It further read, “Mini Films brings to you Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, a contemporary take on romance and ghosting. Join us on this unforgettable journey of love and incredible music.”

The show went off air much to the disappointment of fans about a few years ago, after airing on television for over two decades. Now its return has sparked much excitement and adding to the same, the makers dropped an intriguing promo which has piqued interest of fans.

As CID is set to make a thrilling return on Sony Entertainment Television, bringing back its beloved cast of characters, which is Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty as Inspector Daya, and Aditya Srivastava as officer Abhijeet. While the promo asserts their return it packs an unimaginable punch that has left fans shocked. Abhijeet and Daya, once inseparable friends, now stand as sworn enemies. The promo leaves us with the question – “Jo desh ke liye hamesha saath mein lade hai, aaj dushman ban kyun aamne saamne khade hai? Speaking of Singham Again, the film marks the return of Ajay Devgn as Bajirao Singham and is the third film of the cop-action franchise, and the fifth film in the ambitious Rohit Shetty copverse. The movie will feature Kareena Kapoor Khan as the leading lady, Arjun Kapoor as the antagonist along with Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Jackie Shroff in key roles. It is slated to release on November 1.

As for Bigg Boss 18, the reality show airs from Monday to Friday at 10 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 pm on Colors.

Director Raam Reddy’s stunning and cinematic labour of love, The Fable starring Manoj Bajpayee has been awarded the Special Jury Prize in the South Asia Competition at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024. Its Asia premiere was held last week at MAMI. Announcing the award, filmmaker Kabir Khan described the film as a polished and imaginative film, showcasing the director's ambitions.

Ram Reddy is currently in Spain for another film festival, and hence couldn’t stay for MAMI’s closing ceremony. But, his father, Producer Pratap Reddy read a message on behalf of the team and said, “We would like to thank MAMI for this wonderful opportunity to showcase our film at such a passionate and exciting festival. Our team worked from the heart, overcoming many challenges to bring this dream to the screen. We are deeply humbled and grateful for this recognition. Following this, it will be presented at Brazil's MOSTRA festival from October 17th to 20th. In November, The Fable will screen at the 3 Continents Festival in France, the Leeds International Film Festival, and the Cork International Film Festival in Ireland.

Actor and entrepreneur Parul Gulati shared her admiration for Priyanka Chopra in an interview with India Today Digital. She expressed that Chopra motivates her to "have it all" in life. Anushka Ranjan has grown weary of sexism infiltrating daily life. The actor voiced her frustration about being repeatedly told to lower her voice, emphasizing that people often attempt to silence those who speak up, especially women.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Anushka discusses the sexism she has faced, the questions people posed after her marriage to actor Aditya Seal, and her recent fundraiser for BETI.

Talking on the normalization of sexism, Anushka stated, “That is something that needs to change. I have been told so many times that ‘you are too much, and you are going to spoil women don't speak like that’. What is that supposed to mean? Am I spoilt? Am I doing anything wrong? I have made sure to keep my family with self-respect and dignity in place no matter what.”

She added, “People get a little scared about these things. They want to silence anyone who is too loud in a room, especially if it's a woman. I have felt that many times and that bothers me. If a girl has an opinion, it's always taken in multiple ways as opposed to just being like she has a brain. Sometimes, people even go to the extent that, ‘Are you PMS-ing... And I am like, what do you mean?”

The actor believes these are questions women encounter nearly every day and said, “We are trying our level best from our capacity to change this. But it's going to take a collective effort from every woman and man.”

Reflecting on the trivial questions she's faced, Anushka recalls that after marrying actor Aditya Seal in 2021, a director asked her, “Are you still acting?” She responded, “Once after my marriage, a director asked me ‘are you still acting?’ I was like why would I stop earning money and feeding myself? Why would you assume that suddenly I will stop working? Did I marry a bank?”

She added, “These are some silly small things which we deal with in our little way. I don't usually get or be dramatic about certain things. There are bigger problems in the world. We have to pick our battles. And I have chosen to fight, and it is to ensure women's lives around me are in a better position.”

With Pradyuman looking concerned as he arrives at a location where there are multiple bomb blasts, the clip featured the show’s special whistle theme asserting its return. It further sparked excitement among social media users when it went on to announce that the promo will be unveiled on Saturday as fans couldn’t more excited to see what the new season holds in store for them.

Priyanka Chopra starrer Saat Khoon Maaf which featured her with a bevy of popular Bollywood actors, from Neil Nitin Mukesh to John Abraham to Irrfan Khan, to Annu Kapoor, was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Being adapted from a Ruskin Bond novel ‘Susanna’s Seven Husbands’, the story featured several intimate and violent scenes too. In a podcast with ANI, Annu Kapoor recalled the incident where Vishal Bhardwaj told him about Priyanka Chopra not being comfortable with the intimate scene. While Annu asked Vishal to change the scene, the latter, however, remained insistent on it. “Vishal Bhardwaj told me that she is being shy. I told him, ‘If she’s uncomfortable, remove the scene’. But he said, ‘Why should I remove the scene? It’s important’. I’m a serious man, I don’t enjoy joking around on set. I got over with the combined shots. When it came to my solo shots, even assistants were impressed how I managed to perform them,” Annu stated in the podcast.

He went on to share that the actress may not have been this uncomfortable if he was a quintessential hero. “It’s obvious to me that Priyanka Chopra would’ve had no objection had I been the hero. Speaking of the song in Do Patti, ‘Akhiyaan De Khol’ is composed by the famous Tanishk Bagchi, who is known for his contemporary remixes, along with Shilpa Rao singing it and Kausar Munir rewriting the lyrics. Coming to the film, it is a Netflix thriller featuring Kriti Sanon in a never-before-seen avatar of rival twins along with Kajol playing a cop and marking the film debut of renowned TV actor Shaheer Sheikh. Also marking Sanon’s debut production and co-produced by Kanika Dhillon, the film will be releasing on October 25.

On the work front, Karisma Kapoor made her acting debut with Prem Qaidi in 1991 and gained fame with films like Raja Babu, Andaz Apna Apna, Coolie No. 1, Raja Hindustani, Hero No. 1, Dil To Pagal Hai, Fiza, and Zubeidaa. Recently, she appeared in Homi Adajania's mystery-thriller Murder Mubarak and received acclaim for her role in the thriller series Brown.

Several reports had claimed that Yash declined the role of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. However, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Yash broke his silence, confirming that he will indeed portray Ravana in the film, which also features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash added that Ravana is likely the only character he would consider playing in the epic.

In the interview, Yash shared that his first introduction to Ramayana came during a conversation with Namit Malhotra of DNEG and Prime Focus. Yash was impressed by Namit's passion, and their perspectives on the project aligned with his vision. Namit then asked if Yash would be interested in playing the role of Ravana in the film.

Yash said, “If the character is treated like a character… if this doesn’t happen today, then the film won’t happen. To make a film with that kind of budget, you need those kind of actors to come together and work for the project. It has to be beyond yourself and your stardom. We have to place the project and the vision first.” He added that the conversation progressed and he chose to co-produce the picture.

He added, “It’s a very fascinating character. I wouldn’t have done it for any other reason. In Ramayana, if you had asked me, ‘Would you play any other character?’ Probably not. For me, Ravana is the most exciting character to play as an actor so I really like the shades and the nuances of particular character. There’s vast scope to present it in a very different way. As an actor, I am very excited. Hopefully, it’s going to be a very unique approach to it.”

Pre-production for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is reportedly in full swing. Earlier this year, a leaked photo from the set, showing Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in costume, went viral on social media. Though the team has yet to make an official announcement, the film has been generating strong buzz for some time. The makers are targeting a 2025 release.

Salman Khan, who will mark his return in theatres in a massy avatar in Sikandar, kicked off this project with Sajid Nadiadwala earlier this year amid much excitement. However, the film seems to have faced a hurdle in the aftermath of the assassination of Baba Siddique. With the Khan family worried over the shooting outside their residence, followed by the demise of a close friend and an influential political figure, we hear that Salman has decided to stay put for the next few days at least.

Although the exact time has not been decided as to how long will Salman Khan will not be participating in the shoot, sources close to the actor have reportedly asserted that it is the best solution for the star as of now. “It is no longer enough to provide him stern security. For some time now, Salman would have to lie really now. He won’t be shooting for anything for quite a while, indefinitely I’d say,” a source was quoted saying to Times Now.

The source also mentioned about how Sikandar requires extreme dedication from Khan, which he will not be able to provide considering the emotional turmoil he has been undergoing after the sudden demise of Siddique. “Abhi kuch nahin kaha jaa sakta hai (Nothing can be said as of now). Sikandar requires a whole lot of choreographed action. Director Murugadoss needed Salman’s full attention. But right now that seems impossible. The way ahead is still very unclear. Right now, the most important thing is Salman and his family’s safety. That won’t be compromised under any circumstance,” the source added.

Coming to Sikandar, the film has A R Murugadoss as the director and boasts of an ensemble cast with Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, among others playing key roles. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is scheduled to release during Eid 2025. But, it is yet to be seen if the makers will be retaining this release date, after Khan’s sudden decision to take a break.
