Despite being considered as one of the most ‘selfish’ contestants of the Bigg Boss OTT 3, actress Sana Makbul, best known for her role in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon as Lavanya, walked away with the trophy after being announced as winner by host Anil Kapoor. For the unversed, the digital reality show came to an end on August 2, Friday evening amid much fanfare. Along with Sana, rapper and co-contestant Naezy were declared as the runner-up of the show.

Bigg Boss OTT 3, which kicked off a couple of months ago, featured several influences, some television stars, and a few other known names from different walks of life. After the exit of the controversial Armaan Malik as well as the YouTuber Lovekesh Kataria, the show found its top five finalists in Armaan’s second wife Kritika Malik, Sana Makbul, rapper Naezy, Sai Ketan Rao, and Ranvir Shorey. While shockingly the Maliks got evicted from the game despite creating stirs outside the house for their polygamous marriage, Sai Ketan Rao, who is a renowned celebrity in the television industry also had to bid adieu to the show after Kritika. Followed by the eviction of the two, Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey, who too made news, was the last three to be eliminated, leaving the choice between rapper Naezy aka Naved Shaikh and Sana Makbul. As the audiences waited with bated breath, with the clock all about strike midnight, host Anil Kapoor announced Sana as the winner leaving the audiences enthralled.

Speaking of the grand finale, the event became a starry affair with Stree 2 actors Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao joining the finale contestants before their eviction to encourage them and promote their upcoming release. Aamir Khan once again demonstrated his deep-rooted passion for the arts. On August 1, the Bollywood superstar lent his star power to a local production, attending the dance musical 18 Days at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir in Bandra, Mumbai.

Having previously enthralled audiences in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Goa, the production's Mumbai debut was eagerly anticipated.

Shah Rukh Khan attended director Siddharth Anand's birthday party in Mumbai on July 31. According to rumors, he entered quietly through the kitchen with his manager, Pooja Dadlani. The party was held at a posh restaurant in BKC, Mumbai. While SRK attempted to dodge the spotlight, paparazzi stationed outside the eatery were able to capture his images and videos.

SRK wore a basic black t-shirt, dark blue blazer, and blue trousers. He finished the ensemble with sunglasses and a sling bag. He and his manager came in their beautiful Rolls Royce, both sporting ponytails.

A source close to the Shah Rukh Khan stated, "There have been allegations of SRK flying to the United States for eye surgery. However, sources close to the actor have not verified any such developments thus yet. His public relations team has not responded to questions about the procedure."

July 27 marked the 32nd death anniversary of Amjad Khan, one of the most iconic actors from India cinema. Although he was known for his villainous roles, he also excelled while playing different roles. But he is known the most for his legendary act as the dacoit Gabbar Singh in Ramesh Sippy’s classic Sholay (1975).

Khan’s role as Gabbar Singh is not only still remembered but it also sends a chill down your spine. A major highlight about his performance in Sholay was that he made some of the mundane lines memorable. For example, “Kitne aadmi the?”, “Arre O Sambha”, “Holi kab hai, kab hai Holi?”, etc.

It would come as a complete surprise to many that out of these dialogues, Khan’s inspiration behind the line “Arre O Sambha” was his dhobi (laundry guy). This interesting trivia is disclosed by journalist turned author Roshmila Bhattacharya in her book ‘Bad Men: Bollywood’s Iconic Villains’. The book has numerous chapters based on some of the most iconic onscreen bad men from Hindi cinema. It is published by Rupa Publications.

Amjad Khan’s wife Shehla Khan told the author that her husband used to excel in mimicry of famous people. But Amjad’s father, the late actor Jayant, once told him that he should try and mimic ordinary people.

An excerpt from the book read, “Shehla remembers her father-in-law, actor Jayant, telling his son, ‘Tum khaas ki nakal karoge to pehchane jaaoge, agar nakal hi karni hai to aam ki karo (If you try to imitate a known person, you will be caught. If you have to imitate someone, let it be a common man).’ The words resonated with him, and Amjad Khan found his muses in the people around him, including their domestic worker and the dhobi (laundry man). ‘We had a dhobi who would call out to his wife, “Arrey O Shanti”, and from that was born “Arrey O Sambha”,’ reveals Shehla.”

This chapter from ‘Bad Men’ also looks at the period when Amjad Khan and his wife met with an accident when they were traveling from Mumbai to Goa in their car. Khan had to reach over there to shoot The Great Gambler after he missed his flight as he was shooting for the film Watan (which was later shelved). The veteran actor dozed off as their driver drove the vehicle. Later, when they were about to resume the journey after taking a break for tea at a stall, Khan asked their driver to rest, and he decided to take the wheel.

While he was trying to flip a cassette in the deck while driving, the car lost balance and banged into a tree. Khan broke his leg and 13 ribs while Shehla was also badly injured. Their son, driver and maid were unhurt. Khan and Shehla were rushed to the Panjim Medical Hospital.

An excerpt from the book read, “Amjad was wheeled in for an emergency surgery. ‘Since my right hand was broken, Amit-ji (Amitabh Bachchan), who had rushed over on getting the news, signed the consent forms for the tracheostomy. He must have been so nervous because Amjad’s condition was not good, but both Jaya and Amit-ji were by my side all day, consulting the doctors and making all the arrangements,’ Shehla relives the horror.”

The except continued, “Throughout his stay at the Panjim Medical Hospital, Amjad Khan’s The Great Gambler co-star and good friend, Amitabh Bachchan, would visit the hospital every day, urging him to get well soon. Later, when the actor himself was in hospital for months after being injured on the sets of Coolie (1983), Amjad sat by his bedside and boosted his spirits. Their yaarana (friendship) was real!”

Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Aruna Irani, Khushalii Kumar, Parth Samthaan, singer-composer Sukhbir, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Binnoy K Gandhi and producer Nidhi Dutta attended the launch of the song ‘Punjabi Munde’ from Ghudchadi in Mumbai. One of the most memorable moments of the event was Raveena Tandon’s opening speech.

Raveena Tandon began by saying, “Aruna ji ke saamne hum sab paani kam chai hai. She’s the original, original, original ki OG! She has worked with my father (Ravi Tandon) in many films. There was this song ‘Sapna Mera Toot Gaya’ from Khel Khel Mein (1975). It was my favourite song. Caravan (1971) se leke aaj tak caravan chalta hi raha aur chalta rahega!”

She further said, “It’s a huge honour for me as I was working with my favourite director J P Dutta’s daughter (Nidhi Dutta.) I worked in his films like Kshatriya (1993). Now, I am working with my daamaad, Binnoy!”

She continued, “Parth and Khushalii have been fantastic. Sukhbiir, thank you for this wonderful song for our film.”

She then asked “Ganya kahan gaya?”, referring to Ganesh Acharya. The choreographer, however, had to leave due to ill-health. Next, Raveena Tandon asked writer Deepak Kapur Bhardwaj to come forward. She said, “When Deepak and Binnoy narrated the script to me, I had faith in it from the word ‘go’.” She also praised actress Bindiya and called her “My most favourite woman on this planet”.

Raveena Tandon then raised laughs as she said, “Lastly, I come to my ‘forever’ co-star Sanjay Dutt (smiles). The day Ghudchadi trailer was released, I saw a meme on the internet which read, ‘Ramika Sen and Adhira in a parallel universe’!” She drew parallels with KGF - Chapter 2 (2022) in which both appeared together. While Raveena played the Prime Minister of India, Sanjay Dutt essayed the role of a dreaded antagonist.

Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious adaptation of the epic Ramayana is rapidly transforming from a grand vision into a tangible reality. With Ranbir Kapoor in the titular role, the film promises to be a visual spectacle, and recent developments suggest that the director is sparing no expense to bring the mythological world to life.

Construction is in full swing at Film City, where sprawling twelve sets are being erected. According to a report in Mid-Day, these opulent sets, designed to accommodate the film's 3D format, will recreate iconic locations like Ayodhya and Mithila, the cities synonymous with Ram and Sita. The ambitious target is to complete these massive constructions by mid-August.

Joining Kapoor as the leading lady is Sai Pallavi, who will portray Sita, while veteran actor Arun Govil, best known for his portrayal of Ram in the iconic television series Ramayan, will take on the role of King Dasharath. Yash is signed as Ravana, a role that promises to be career-defining.

While the initial focus has been on capturing Ram's younger years, the production is gearing up for the next phase, with the principal cast set to resume shooting in late August. A surprising revelation has emerged about the film's structure: it will be a two-part epic.

Unlike traditional filmmaking practices where the sequel is greenlit based on the first part's performance, the makers of Ramayana are adopting a more aggressive approach. A significant portion of the second part is slated to be filmed concurrently with the first.

The production schedule is a meticulously crafted blueprint spanning 350 days, encompassing both individual and ensemble sequences. The goal is to wrap principal photography for both parts by December 2025, allowing ample time for post-production, which will be handled by the renowned visual effects studio, DNEG. While the release date remains under wraps, it is expected to be announced once the first part of the filming is complete. Jaya Bachchan, an actor-politician, chastised Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh Narayan Singh today in parliament for adopting Amitabh Bachchan's name as her middle name. She took a moment to remind everyone that she had her own identity as well.

Harivansh called her to speak in a parliament session on Monday, saying, "Shrimati Jaya Amitabh Bachchan ji, please." Jaya responded: "Sir, sirf Jaya Bachchan bolte to kaafi hojata (It would've been enough to call me Jaya Bachchan)."  But it was pointed out that’s what her name is officially registered as.

She said, “Some new method has emerged that women have to be known by their husband’s name. Women have no identity. They have no achievements, no identity of their own. This new thing….”

Fans responded to the video, with some calling her 'brave'. One questioned, "No but why  Amitabh got added? If she did not add, who did? Or is it occurring to everyone?" Another person replied, "She's not wrong in any sense btw."

Sanjay Dutt turned 65 on July 29, and he gave himself a wonderful gift. He emerged from his home to greet admirers and paparazzi, who also grabbed a look of his new Range Rover. The actor enjoyed his special day with his family.

Sanjay gave himself a black Range Rover SUV for his birthday. Fans were seen taking pictures and videos of him as he waved at them in a video captured by the photographers present. It is common to see not just Bollywood stars but even their offspring buying expensive properties in prime areas. Aryan Khan, son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is the latest to join this bandwagon. As per reports, he has bought a sprawling space in India’s capital, Delhi, for a whopping price.

According to an article in The Economic Times, Aryan has brought two floors in the elite Panchsheel Park locality in South Delhi. He paid Rs. 37 crores to acquire this space. Interestingly, this is the same building where his mother Gauri Khan used to live before her marriage to SRK. The family already owns the basement and ground floor of the building, as per The Economic Times.

The article further states that the property was registered in May 2024 and Aryan paid Rs. 2.64 crores as stamp duty. Further, Gauri Khan has designed the house.

This is probably the first property bought by Aryan Khan. His actor-sister Suhana Khan purchased a 1.5-acre property with three houses in Alibaug for Rs 12.91 crores in June 2023. It was next to Shah Rukh Khan’s sprawling bungalow in the coastal town of Maharashtra. Earlier this year, she bought one more land parcel in Alibaug for more than Rs. 10 crores.

Many celebrities have bought land or bungalows in places like Alibaug, Goa but to see such a high-value transaction in Delhi is rare. The Economic Times article quotes Pradeep Prajapati of boutique real estate consultancy firm Wealthvisory Capital who said that recently, Amitabh Bachchan had also sold his Gulmohar Park property in South Delhi for around Rs. 23 crores.

On the work front, Aryan Khan is shooting for his debut directorial web series, Stardom. The shoot is reportedly over. Lakshya of Kill fame is the leading actor along with Mona Singh and others. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Bobby Deol, Karan Johar etc. reportedly feature in the show in cameos.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Lalita expressed surprise at the speculation, stating, “Rs. 2.5 lakh? I wish. May your words come true. These are all just rumors." She recounted Kareena’s lighthearted response to the gossip, saying that Kareena assured her, "These are all jokes, sister. Don’t take it all seriously."

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is set to take on a challenging new role as an R&AW agent in Aditya Dhar’s upcoming action thriller. According to a recent report by Mid-Day, the film promises to be a high-octane espionage drama, drawing inspiration from a real-life mission undertaken by India’s current National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval.

Giving details of the other characters in the film, the report added Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal are playing fellow intelligence officers, while Sanjay Dutt is set to portray the antagonist. A special court in Mumbai has issued a non-bailable warrant against Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in connection with the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence.

The warrant was issued on Friday following a plea by the Mumbai police. Anmol Bishnoi, along with Rohit Godera, an alleged member of the Bishnoi gang, has been named as an absconding accused in the chargesheet filed earlier this month. Bishnoi Gang Linked to Firing Incident The firing incident took place on April 14, 2023, outside Salman Khan's Bandra residence. The actor was not injured in the incident. The Mumbai police has since arrested six people in connection with the case, including the two alleged shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal.

Lawrence Bishnoi, the alleged mastermind behind the attack, is currently lodged in the Sabarmati Central Prison in Ahmedabad. Anmol Bishnoi and Rohit Godera are believed to be hiding in Canada. Crackdown on Bishnoi Gang The issuance of the non-bailable warrant is a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the Salman Khan firing case. It highlights the efforts of the Mumbai police to crack down on the Bishnoi gang, which has been linked to several high-profile crimes.

The update comes days after a report by India Today quoted the actor saying, “I heard a cracker-like sound. Then, at around 4.55 am, the police bodyguard said that two people on a bike had fired from a weapon at the Galaxy Apartment's first-floor balcony. There had been attempts to hurt me and my family prior to this as well. I have learnt that Lawrence Bishnoi has taken responsibility for the attack from social media. So, I believe that it is the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who have carried out the firing on my balcony,” in the chargesheet.

Boong follows Boong, a young boy from the valley of Manipur, who plans to surprise his mother with a gift. In his innocence, he believes that bringing his father back home would be the most special gift. His search for his father leads to an unexpected gift – a new beginning.

Director Lakshmipriya Devi, who has always aspired to tell stories, chose to direct Boong only when a story from her own experiences emerged. The period drama/fantasy series Rakht Brahmand is helmed by the visionary duo Raj and DK, while Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame will direct the series. This will be the next major project for Ali following the anticipation of the release of Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino, Lahore 1947 produced by Aamir Khan, and Thug Life directed by Mani Ratnam.

A source revealed, “The project is a marvelous vision of Raj & DK, it’s definitely a step forward in its genre of fantasy drama. The cast has finally all been locked and the shoot is set to start next week. Ali will be shooting for the series through August while also completing small schedules of his other projects. The show came to him and the vision of the show was enough to get Ali excited to be part of the series. It’s a really interesting part, something he has never done before both from character perspective and also genre-wise”.

The 6 part limited series is set to commence shoot in Mumbai, starting next week.

On July 18, the T-Series family woke up to the shocking news of the demise of one of their youngest members Tishaa Kumar who was expected to be battling cancer for the past few years. Kiran Rao returned to direct 14 years after her debut, Dhobi Ghat (2010). Her most recent directorial, Laapataa Ladies, was well-received by the public, but only after it was launched on Netflix India. Laapataa Ladies, When it was first released in theaters, it received few takes. In an interview with Faye D'Souza, Kiran acknowledged that she thinks Laapataa Ladies' box office performance a failure.

Kiran said, “In some ways, both these films Dhobi Ghat and Laapataa Ladies, haven't done great at the box office. Dhobi Ghat, in fact, did some big business for its time. Ten-15 years later, Laapataa Ladies, didn't do that much more than Dhobi Ghat. So, in some ways, I do feel that sense of failure. By box office metrics, we weren't a success. In the conventional sense, we didn't do hundreds of crores, or even ₹30, 40, 50 crore.

She further stated, “Failure is the way to put it. I do feel responsible that the film didn't do that well at the box office. I felt it a lot during Dhobi Ghat because we didn't have any alternate mediums, we didn't have OTT. So it didn't get a lot of audience. I do feel that film was different for its time, and very unusual for a theatrical release back then. But other than that, not really. I haven't felt a deep sense of having failed at something.”

Kiran added, “I think failure in the sense that I felt that everyday failure. In 10 years, I've been working relentlessly. I've had really busy days continuously. After my first film, I thought my second film would come soon. But that soon just didn't come. It got me on a daily basis. The empty page, the inability to put that full stop and say ‘the end.' It was something I really struggled with in these 10 years. I'm sure most creative people have to face that sense of failure a lot when they don't achieve something soon enough or they don't achieve it at all," added Kiran.”

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, known for his globally acclaimed titles such as Gangs of Wasseypur, Ugly and Kennedy, is ready with his next production venture Little Thomas. The film is headlined by two of India's finest actors, Gulshan Devaiah and Rasika Duggal, joined by child artist Hridansh Parekh in the charming comedy drama.

"Yes, it’s been a while. Maybe I was waiting for a good children’s film script to come my way," Kashyap says on why he took 17 years to return to this space after his animated directorial Return of Hanuman (2007). "It’s a difficult genre actually, to make an authentic children’s film, so one has to ensure that it’s a good script before making it," the filmmaker adds.

Little Thomas is set to have its world premiere at the upcoming Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Besides Kashyap, the film is backed by Ranjan Singh, Rajnikant Oza, Charu Oza, Anushka Shah and Kabir Ahuja.

In Little Thomas, Kashyap was impressed by the vision of the National Award winning director Kaushal Oza, who makes his feature directorial debut with the film that follows the tragi-comic efforts of a seven-year-old boy to bring his parents together and have a little brother.

Kashyap says, "I had seen Kaushal’s short 'The Miniaturist of Junagadh' and liked it. Then I read the Little Thomas script and understood his vision for it. He wanted to make a genuine children’s film while creating a world from a kid’s perspective. The honesty of his approach has helped make the film."

Set in the Goa of the 90s, the film follows Thomas, the only child of his parents, who desperately wants a little brother. "One day, he is told that to get a baby brother his parents will have to kiss. Since his quarrelling parents won't kiss any longer, Little Thomas takes it upon himself to make them do the yucky act!" the film's synopsis reads.

Actor Gulshan Devaiah, who made his debut in Anurag Kashyap's That Girl in Yellow Boots (year) and went on to collaborate with him on projects like Shaitan (2011) and Hunterrr (2015), describes Little Thomas as a film that "puts a smile on my face."

"It’s a sweet, cute film and I am thrilled it’s going to be showing at IFFM. The most special thing about Little Thomas is its story and the beautiful innocence in its world. Rasika is a wonderful actor, who I’ve admired for a while now. She’s very professional and dedicated to the craft. I was lucky I got to work with her," Gulshan says.

Calling Little Thomas "a beautiful and lyrical story" about the simple life of a Goan family, actor Rasika Duggal says, "I was drawn to the script of Little Thomas because I felt it was a beautiful and simple story yet wasn't simplistic. Technology has given us so much to play within filmmaking that sometimes, I feel the soul of a film gets drowned in the razzmatazz. Little Thomas was not doing any of that. It was committing to its narrative without any unnecessary frills. Also, the script had an interesting sense of humour, which I enjoyed very much. I am delighted that the film is premiering at IFFM and it will first be watched by the kind of audience that a festival like IFFM always attracts - a discerning audience with an ample appetite for fun. I am looking forward to how they will respond to our film."

Director Kaushal Oza, an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India says the team auditioned over 700 kids to find Thomas and the gang.

The filmmaker adds, "Everyone has been a seven-year-old once in their lives. When we grow up we miss the innocence of the times we were kids. I wanted to capture the innocence and imagination that we had then and yearned for now. Everyone who read the script loved it, but producing a film like this is a challenge. When this team of producers read the script - they laughed, they cried - they backed it to the hilt. Also casting the kids was the biggest challenge."

Little Thomas is produced by Luminoso Pictures, Civic Studios, Flip Films and Good Bad Films.

Producer Ranjan Singh (Flip Films) recalls reading the script of Little Thomas in 2018, which is also when he decided to produce the film. "It seemed like an authentic children’s film which I have missed over so many years. Also, I had co-produced Kaushal’s short, The Miniaturist of Junagadh, and showed it to Anurag and other producers and it really helped when I took Little Thomas’ script to them."

Anushka Shah, producer, Civic Studios, dubs Little Thomas as a "refreshingly delightful story". She says, "Thomas’ boundless imagination, curiosity and resilience could positively shape children’s mindsets in formative years - an important reason for Civic Studios to back this film. We’re sure Little Thomas will be a heart-warming family watch for children and adults."

Also starring Hridyansh Gokani, Ninad Pandith and Mahabanoo Mody- Kotwal, Little Thomas will have its festival run before its theatrical release in the country.

Reflecting on her experience, Kapila noted that her episode was the first to be shot, leading to learnings and adjustments in subsequent episodes. She highlighted the unfair pressure she faced, where refusing to let the episode air would have led to accusations of cowardice and further trolling. Over the past six months, Kapila shared that she was repeatedly told that she deserved the jokes because she is a divorced woman, a notion she found deeply troubling.

Choosing peace over controversy

Kapila emphasized that her decision to let the episode air was driven by a desire for peace rather than engaging in endless discourse that could further vilify her. She stressed the importance of respecting personal boundaries and acknowledged the negative reactions from many women in the live audience. Kapila agreed with their disapproval, reinforcing her stance against some of the content that was aired.

A learning experience

In conclusion, Kapila vowed not to participate in another roast without knowing what to expect. She mentioned that her previous two roast experiences were positive, contrasting sharply with this latest incident. After Anurag Kashyap set news reports abuzz with his comments as he called out the ‘entourage culture’, makeup artist Shaan Muttathil, who has been working as a hair stylist for Jacqueline Fernandez for years, have hit back at the filmmaker. During the Phitte Muh podcast, Shaan slammed Anurag Kashyap by stating that he is jealous of the kind of money makeup artists and other team members of the entourage earn. “What Anurag sir is saying is his world, his bubble. But there's another world too. Will this Anurag sir, after so many hits, go and do a movie for what a newcomer director will do? No. Of course, there’s a lot of jealousy, and I completely understand. Because we do get paid more than managers, than first ADs, and people in the camera department,” he said.

Further adding that his films feature women wearing Rs. 250 worth cotton sarees, Shaan went on to criticize the way actors are presented in his films. “Of course, he can lose his s**t when he hears Rs. 1.5 lakh for makeup and hair when his heroines don’t need makeup and hair, I understand. But not everybody gets paid Rs. 1 lakh or Rs. 2 lakh. There are only around 10 of us. First of all, I wouldn’t get a call from him. In his films, he will have to call me to get the dark circles and to make the hair look frizzy. That’s what his heroines look like.”

The filmmaker touched upon the subject of budget wherein he made shocking revelations about the exorbitant prices charged by an actor’s team which often results in the film going over-budget. He had opened up about it in an interview with Janice Sequeira wherein he said, “Somebody has a chef who charges ₹2 lakh per day to make this strange healthy food. Jo dekh ke lagta tha ye khana hai? After months of rumours regarding model-turned-actor Natasa Stankovic's split with cricketer Hardik Pandya, Natasa confirmed the news with a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday. The much-awaited film Bad Newz has released today in cinemas and is off to a strong start. This has been possible due to a great response to the trailer and songs, an amusing subject and great casting. The moviegoers who’ll venture out to watch the comic caper will expect some great entertainment from its lead cast – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. However, they’ll be surprised to know that two more gorgeous actresses also feature in this film.

It turns out that Ananya Panday has a very crucial cameo in Bad Newz. Her presence gives an interesting addition to the film’s plot. In the opening disclaimers, ‘Thank You Ananya Panday’ is duly mentioned.

And that’s not all. At another crucial juncture, Neha Sharma makes an appearance as well. She looks ravishing and her presence further contributes to the laughter quotient of the film.

Cameos or supporting roles by popular actors usually make a film more exciting. Karan Johar, one of the producers of Bad Newz, has been doing this since his directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). It starred Salman Khan who all of a sudden entered the narrative in the second half of the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol-Rani Mukerji starrer and surprised the audiences as they had no idea about his presence.

In today’s times, however, it is difficult to hide such special appearances as news often gets leaked to the press. But Ananya Panday and Neha Sharma’s presence in Bad Newz was a well-kept secret and nobody, outside of the film unit, got a hint about it.

Another fun, quirky appearance in the film is that of Gajraj Rao. He hasn’t acted in the film; he plays a dead person and his photo can be seen hanging on the wall. Funnily, ‘Fatherly appearance Gajraj Rao’ is mentioned at the very beginning of the end credits.

Besides all these actors, Bad Newz also stars Neha Dhupia and Sheeba Chadha. It is directed by Anand Tiwari and produced by Karan Johar of Dharma Productions, Anand Tiwari and Amritpal Singh Bindra of Leo Media Collective Pvt Ltd and Manish Menghani of Amazon Prime.

John Cena of all people was invited, pulled up with a $13,000 Rolex Explorer II in Stainless steel with a white dial. Nigerian singer, Rema was reportedely paid over $3,000,000 to perform and was wearing a $37,000 Rolex day-date in yellow gold with a champaigne dial.
