The last celebration, Mangal Utsav, or wedding reception, is slated for Sunday, July 14.

Shweta Tiwari, fondly remembered for her portrayal of Prerna Sharma in Ektaa Kapoor's iconic drama Kasautii Zindagi Kay, recently shared a behind-the-scenes anecdote from the show. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shweta recounted a challenging experience while filming a scene for one of the show's early episodes. The scene required her character to fall into a river, with her co-star Cezanne Khan's character jumping in to rescue her. The narrative demanded that both actors remain in the water throughout the night.

Shweta Tiwari Recalls Shooting in Less Than Ideal Condition "It was really gross," Shweta revealed. "Cezanne and I were shooting for a sequence where my character falls into a river and his character jumps in to save me. The story required our characters to stay in the water the whole night and only come out in the morning when someone else comes to help us." A Rude Awakening Unfortunately, the actors were unaware of the unpleasant surprise that awaited them the next morning. "We were shooting this in Film City Lake and stayed in the water all night," Shweta continued. "In the morning, we realised that kids had been sitting on the edge of the lake and pooping there. I was like, 'Oh s***, we were in this water the whole night!'" 

As if the sewage water wasn't enough, Shweta also encountered another unsettling surprise. "I also saw a snake crawling there," she added, "and realised it was in the water with us at night."

Kasautii Zindagi Kay's Legacy Kasautii Zindagi Kay, which aired from 2001 to 2008, remains a popular television drama in India. The show's success spawned a reboot, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, in 2018. However, the second iteration failed to capture the same level of viewership as the original.

Isha Ambani Piramal, Anant Ambani's sister, wore an attire inspired by the ancient Gujarati style of Bandhani to Radhika Merchant's 'mameru' ceremony on July 3. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding festivities began with a ceremony at the Ambani house in Mumbai.

On June 29, before the 'mameru' ritual, the Ambanis held a private puja ceremony at their Mumbai home, Antilia.

Actor Huma Qureshi has come on board to headline the upcoming investigative police procedural drama Bayaan, award-winning producer Shiladitya Bora announced on Friday. Developed at Film Independent, Los Angeles, Bayaan will be helmed by writer-director Bikas Mishra, best known for his acclaimed feature film Chauranga.

Also starring actors Chandrachur Singh and Sachin Khedekar, Bayaan is set to begin production in Rajasthan, this month. The film is jointly produced by Shiladitya Bora (Platoon One Films), Madhu Sharma (Summit Studios), Kunal Kumar, and Anshuman Singh.

The drama is set against the ravishing landscape of Rajasthan and follows the story of a father-daughter duo. "Roohi, a female detective, is sent to a small town in Rajasthan to probe the first case of her career as a lead investigator. She is, however, doomed to fail as her opponent’s influence runs deep within the system. Roohi must strive to live up to her father’s legacy, who is a legend in the world of law enforcement," the logline reads.

The film is supported by the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s Hubert Bals Fund and was developed at LA Residency, a part of the Global Media Makers (GMM) program of Film Independent, Los Angeles. During the course of the residency, Bikas was mentored by Craig Mazin (creator of HBO’s Chernobyl, The Last of Us, Hangover 2 and 3) and received advice on the script from writer Jeff Stockwell and story editor Ruth Atkinson.

"The sheer passion of the director-producer duo, Bikas and Shiladitya, moved me," actor Huma Qureshi said about signing Bayaan.

"Collaborating with such dedicated professionals, who care deeply about filmmaking, is truly exciting. It's a rare combination: a fantastic script, a talented crew, and their complete dedication to their work. Their energy is infectious. I'm excited about Bayaan!" said Qureshi, known for titles like Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur and the Netflix Original Monica O My Darling.

Bikas Mishra, known for his debut feature Chauranga, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles in 2015 and was declared Best Indian Feature at the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI) in 2014, said, "I feel humbled by the unconditional support Bayaan has received from Shiladitya and Huma. Having assembled the best cast and crew, there is no stopping now. We are going to make a film that will speak to the world, to tell a story we care a great deal about."

Producer Shiladitya Bora said a film like Bayaan perfectly aligned with the vision of his production house. "As a producer, I'm always looking for that one script that will be a breakout film for everyone involved. My job is to back the director's vision and empower him to create a film that will take us places. Huma's backing reaffirms my faith in the project."

Producer Shiladitya Bora has earlier backed projects such as Newton (India’s Official Entry to the 2018 Oscars), and Picasso (Prime Video India's first Marathi direct-to-digital acquisition). His banner, Platoon One Films, is a leading Indian independent film production house that was behind last year’s Berlin Panorama selection Ghaath.

Bayaan boasts a talented crew; three of them, the director, producer, and cinematographer, are alumni of the prestigious Berlinale Talents. Udit Khurana (Ghaath, Netflix’s Hunt for Veerappan) will shoot the film, while Vinay Vishwakarma (Disney-Hotstar's Candy) will serve as the production designer, and Shilpi Agarwal (Prasanna Vithanage’s Paradise, Netflix’s Indian Predator: Murder in a Courtroom) will serve as the costume designer. Location sound will be done by Amala Popuri (Ghajini, Trial By Fire). The casting is put together by Casting Director Rahul Tanwar. Ashok Sen (Newton, Raazi) will be the First AD, Ratan Sil Sarma will be the Head of Production, with Himanshu Malik as Executive Producer.

The film will also showcase many acclaimed actors in pivotal roles, including Avijit Dutt (Piku), Shampa Mandal (Sonchiriya, Sherni), Priti Shukla, Vibhor Mayank and Aditi Kanchan Singh.

Photos and videos from the ceremony were widely circulated online. Beside from Ambanis, Radhika's pal Janhvi Kapoor and her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya were also seen at the event.

Radhika dressed in a multicolored lehenga for her wedding. She finished her ensemble with striking jewelry and perfectly braided hair. Anant Ambani, the groom-to-be, complemented his bride by wearing a similar-colored pajama suit. Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana star in this multilingual film. Vyjayanthi Movies produces Kalki 2898 AD, which is described as a combination of the Hindu epic Mahabharata with science fiction. The film was released worldwide on June 27 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English languages.

On the work front, Deepika and Ranveer will appear in the film Singham Again, which will be released in theaters on November 1. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff, among others. Ranveer will also star in Farhan Akhtar's Don 3.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, was scheduled to open in theatres on July 5. However, due to the success of Kalki 2898 AD at the box office, the film's release date is expected to be pushed.

The makers have now officially confirmed the film's new release date. The statement stated, 'On the request of the exhibitors and distribution fraternity, we have mutually decided to shift the release date of our film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.' It also noted, 'New release date to be announced soon.'

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is Ajay and Tabu's eleventh film together, and fans are anxious to see them as lovers. Director Neeraj Panday admits that he was unaware of their off-screen friendship, but he thought they were the ideal cast for the picture. “Two years back, when we were figuring out our next theatrical release, the germ of this film came to me. It was there in some form in my head before that but I didn’t actually sit down and write about it till two years ago. And Ajay and Tabu were my first choices. Having said that, I don’t know if it’s their friendship that translated onscreen because I know nothing about its background,” the filmmaker said.

Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha is an epic love story that follows Krishna and Vasudha as their young relationship confronts numerous challenges, eventually leading to their separation when Krishna commits multiple murders and is condemned to life in jail. Krishna gets released from prison after 22 years, and the story revolves around his final rendezvous with Vasudha.

When asked about the success of Kalki 2898 AD, producer Sangeeta Ahir of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha stated, "It is good for us that the audience is back in theatres and happy days are back."

She further recalled, “He had a black Gypsy. But it was taken away one day because he couldn't pay the EMI, or there was something. He came on our set very dejected. I told him, ‘Don’t worry, you'll have many more cars one day.' And he still remembers that. Because it's true. Look at him today.” Shah Rukh Khan’s humble beginning Led to Stardom  Today, Shah Rukh Khan owns a fleet of luxury vehicles and resides in the iconic sea-facing bungalow, Mannat, in Bandra, Mumbai. Legendary filmmaker Shankar is known for creating larger-than-life characters who fight for justice against societal evils. Films like Anniyan, Sivaji: The Boss, Mudhalvan, Gentleman and Hindustani are prime examples. His upcoming film Hindustani 2 continues this tradition.

In recent years, the concept of cinematic universes has become increasingly popular, with Lokesh Kanagaraj's Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) featuring Kaithi, Vikram and Leo being a recent example. But Shankar reveals he had a similar vision way back in 2008, even before the trend emerged! Shankar's Opens Up About His Dream Project In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Shankar shared a fascinating anecdote. "While filming Robot in 2008," he said, "I had this idea of creating a story that brings together Senapathy (played by Kamal Haasan) from Indian, one-day chief minister Shivaji Rao Gaekwad (played by Anil Kapoor) from Nayak and Sivaji (Rajinikanth) in one film." An Idea Ahead of Its Time Shankar's enthusiasm for this multi-starrer concept wasn't met with the response he expected. "I was so excited by the idea," he recalled. "I called my assistant directors and told them about it. But they just stared at me, unsure of how to react."

He further elaborated, "They probably thought I was crazy! The idea of bringing three iconic characters together in one film seemed outlandish at the time. Even senior technicians didn't quite know how to respond. They smiled politely but didn't seem to take it seriously." The Avengers Ignited a Familiar Spark Years later, upon watching The Avengers, Shankar was reminded of his own cinematic universe concept. "I confided in many people about this idea," he said, "but since no one responded positively, I shelved it. Then came The Avengers, and it reignited that spark within me." Shankar's Hindustani 2 Set for Release While the multi-star project remains on hold, Shankar's directorial venture Hindustani 2 is gearing up for release. The film, a sequel to the Hindi blockbuster Indian, is slated for a global theatrical release on July 12 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film stars Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal Kitchlu and Rakul Preet Singh alongside the original protagonist, played by Kamal Haasan.

Veteran actor Govind Namdev has shared his experience of working with Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Govind Namdev recalled his time with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000).

Shah Rukh Khan will smoke like a chimney and keep working According to Govind Namdev, Shah Rukh Khan's work ethic was unparalleled, as he would work tirelessly, often for just four hours of sleep, and constantly think about his next project. “I had heard a lot about workaholics, jinhe sirf kaam ki dhun hoti hai. I had heard about them, but I saw it the first time when I worked with Shah Rukh Khan,” Govind Namdev said.

He further recalled, “We worked throughout the day, then at night he mingled with the whole crew, we ate together and then, because he was also the producer, he worked till 2 AM. The next day, he had to take an early morning flight to Chennai to attend a function, then come back and resume shooting! He would’ve slept for not more than three and a half or four hours maximum. Kaam mein dhuni hai woh. He will smoke like a chimney and keep working, keep thinking about what to do next. Superstars usually have this attitude, these tantrums, but not him.” Govind Namdev recalls shooting Wanted with Salman Khan Govind Namdev also shared his experience of working with Salman Khan on the sets of Wanted (2009). Unlike Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan didn't interact much with the crew and focused solely on his work. Govind Namdev noted that Salman Khan would occasionally share stories about his childhood and his father, Salim Khan, but otherwise kept to himself.

In his words, “He doesn’t interact much, sirf kaam se kaam. There was no personal talk at all. Just sometimes how unke father kaise hote the, kuch bhi tedha kiya toh padti thi humko‘ (Salman would share how if the kids did anything naughty, they would get a beating by their father Salim). That’s it. He is the opposite of Shah Rukh Khan as far as interacting with others is concerned.”

Speaking of the professional front, the veteran actor was last seen in Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently shooting for Sikandar and Shah Rukh is vacationing in London with friends and family.

The Indian film industry is abuzz with the latest release, Kalki 2898 AD, a magnum opus that brings together some of the biggest names in the industry. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film boasts an impressive cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. As the film hits theaters, Shraddha Kapoor has expressed her admiration for Big B.

The comments section was flooded with netizens lauding Amitabh’s performance in Kalki 2898 AD. “He's doing this at the age of 81, what an absolute legend,” wrote a user while another commented, “I agree just got out of PVR nd damn in love with him all over again.” A third comment read, “Riste Me Toh Woh SABKE Baap Nai Lagte But Fir Bhi Woh Hai Toh Shahenshah Hi.”

Coming back to the film, it was released on June 27 and has already created a havoc at the box office. It has become the fourth highest of all time after Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, RRR and KGF 2.

While Armaan Malik is receiving extensive flak and hatred outside the house from several netizens and celebrities who condemned his act of marrying two women, the YouTuber-Influencer remains unaffected by this. His wife Payal, who is now married to him for almost 11 years, recently recalled how her husband and her best friend Kritika broke the news of their marriage to her, further confessing that narrating this incident always makes her emotional.

The influencer opened up about how Armaan and Kritika informed her about their marriage. She said, "Ek din main bahar thi aur ye dono the kahin saath mein inhone baat kari hogi aapas mein ke shaadi karte hain toh usne bhi keh diya karte hain. Ye dono shaadi karke aagaye. Mere paas phone aaya Arre Payal ek na khushkhabri deni hai, Main inki harr ek cheez samajh jaati hoon. While everyone was listening to the story intently, tarot card reader and co-contestant Munisha Khatwani chimmed in and asked, "Tumko nahi laga inhone bahut bada dhokha diya hai. Aap ki friend, Aap ki best friend hoke, aap ke husband ke saath shaadi kiya? (Didn't you feel that they betrayed you? Your friend, your best friend, got married to your husband?)” This question left Payal quite upset and the latter ended up breaking down. While Armaan rushed to console her saying, “Abhi toh Khush hona tum, abhi saat saal ho gaye. Kabhi kabhi toh mujhe aisa lagta hai ki inn dono (Payal and Krithika) ki shaadi hui hai (Now you are happy right? It has been seven years. Sometimes, I feel like it is those two who have gotten married)”.

Apart from Armaan, even Ranvir Shorey and the rest of the contestants came to console Payal. The latter confessed that she often gets emotional while narrating this incident. Ranvir applauded Payal’s courage and said, “Aapka dil bahut bada hai (you have a big heart)”. Many of the other contestants too tried to calm her and appreciated her strength.

Kanguva to clash with several Hindi films including Jigra

About three releases are scheduled to release on October 11 which majorly includes Jigra, that marks the return of Alia Bhatt in theatres (in a Bollywood film) after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani last year.  The film also stars The Archies star Vedang Raina and marks his first theatrical release. Besides this, makers of Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri starrer comedy drama Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Vala Video and Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde starrer cop-action entertainer Deva too have also announced the same release date.

Protests in Bihar target Shatrughan Sinha along with Sonakshi, actor reacts

Posters put up across Patna by the Hindu Shivbhavani Sena threaten Sonakshi Sinha, stating they will not allow her entry into Bihar. The group further directed their message towards Shatrughan Sinha where they demanded he change the names of his palatial Mumbai residence, ‘Ramayana’, and his sons, Luv and Kush, claiming these names disrespect Hinduism. Shatrughan Sinha reacted to these accusations in a Times Now report wherein he said, “My daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional. A wedding is a very personal decision between two people; no one has the right to interfere or comment. To all the protestors I say – go, get a life. Do something useful with your life.”

Mira mentioned that she couldn’t be in the atmosphere more than a couple of months and added, “At the end of two and a half months, I wanted to get out from there, but couldn’t get off the bed, so Shahid spoke to my doctor and told him, ‘I will set up the home as a hospital, will put up the bed, and get everything, but let her be at home.’ He was seeing that it was taking a toll on me mentally. So, we did this, went back home, my whole family come to see me surprises me. They surprised me, and I was so overwhelmed that I started getting contractions.” The star wife revealed that she was rushed to the hospital yet again due to her worsening condition.

The digital version of the reality show, which is currently in its third season, saw several influencers as contestants including the famous trio of Armaan Malik, Payal, and Krithika Malik. Devoleena, who was upset with the idea living with two wives, decided to call out the reality show and shared about it on social media.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee calls it ‘filth’

Expressing that she is disgusted over a man confessing about falling in love with another woman, while being married to her best friend, and living with both of them, the actress criticized the show and called it ‘filth’. She said, “Do you think this is entertainment? This is not entertainment, it's filth. Don't make the mistake of taking this lightly because it's not just a reel, it's real. I mean, I can't even understand how anyone can call this shamelessness entertainment ? I feel disgusted just hearing about it. Gross. I mean, in just 6/7 days love happened, marriage happened, and then the same thing with the wife's best friend. This is beyond my imagination.”

Actress calls out the show for promoting two marriages

“And Bigg Boss, what has happened to you? Kya itne bure din chal rahe hai apke that you find polygamy entertaining? What were you thinking when you introduced such contestants? This show is watched by people from children to the elderly. What do you want to teach the new generation? That they can have 2-3-4 marriages? Everyone can live happily together? Go and ask those who suffer from such incidents every day, living their lives in misery,” she shared in her note.

Devoleena continued, “This is why the Special Marriage Act and UCC (Uniform Civil Code) should be mandatory. So that the law is the same for everyone and society can be free from such filth. A second wife while having a first wife. Imagine if in the name of equality, wives started having 2-2 husbands, would you still be entertained.”

“And I don't understand who their followers are. And for what reason do they follow them? Is your mind in the right place or not please get it treated first. If you find this shamelessness right then your life is a waste. You can't think beyond it nor can you do anything about it. What do you want to teach the new generation, that they should have multiple marriages? Gross. The thought itself is so cringe. And if it's so necessary to have 2-3 marriages then do it and stay at home. Don't spread this filthy mindset to the world. As a society, we are only heading towards destruction. Truly people have gone mad. And Bigg Boss, I don't know what has happened to you,” she concluded.
