At the post-match presentation ceremony on March 25, Virat Kohli said, “We were not in the country. We were at a place where people were not recognising us. Just time together as a family, just to feel normal for two months. For me, for us as a family, it was a surreal experience.”

In another interview with Harsha Bhogle, Virat Kohli talked about the importance of family and said, “Of course, having two kids, things become totally different from a family perspective. Production giant T-Series has now responded to Reliance Entertainment's claims about non-payment of dues and called it false and bogus. In a public notice, Reliance Entertainment asked T-Series to cough up Rs. 397 crore. However, T-Series, in a statement, said that Reliance Entertainment is violating two judgements of Bombay High Court.

In an official statement, T-Series said, “The claims made by Reliance in its public notice are totally false & bogus. Reliance’s claims are also in clear violation of two judgements of the Hon'ble Bombay High Court passed in June 2023 and December 2023. In the first judgment delivered in June 2023, the Hon'ble Bombay High Court has clearly held in favour of Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd (T-Series) - that the long form agreement is valid and subsisting and T-Series shall continue to have the copyright and the right to exploit and distribute the works, which have been listed by Reliance in their public notice. In the second judgement of December 2023 the Hon'ble Bombay High Court has clearly held that the statements of accounts given by T-Series to Reliance are valid and are in accordance with the Long Form Agreement..”

The statement further read, “Thus any claims made by Reliance now in respect of the non-payment of dues by T-series are in complete contradiction to the two court orders, completely bogus, without any basis and no amounts are due and payable by T-Series. All amounts under the Long Form Agreement stand paid to Reliance. Even recently T-Series had issued a response clearly bringing out the aforesaid facts to Reliance. It is thus indeed shocking that Reliance has chosen to issue the said notice and not even respect Court orders..”

It further read, “Also, besides being in violation of the aforesaid court orders, the said notice appears to be a desperate attempt by Reliance to obfuscate issues and wriggle out of its own liabilities and obligations under the Long form Agreement and the public notice has been issued with a malafide intent to defame T-Series. Filmmaker extraordinaire Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to make his digital debut with the much-anticipated web series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. At the special event on Wednesday, it was confirmed that the series is premiering on streaming giant Netflix on May 1. The release date of this ambitious project was unveiled in a drone light show event held at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai.

Produced by Siddharth Anand under his banner Marflix Pictures, this project marks Anand's second foray into production following Fighter. Now, the team readies for its second schedule set to unfold in Mumbai come April, followed by the final leg slated to take place across the picturesque landscapes of Europe.

As per a report in Mid-day, a source revealed, “The second schedule begins from April 7 during which Saif and Jaideep will shoot critical portions across real locations in south and suburban Mumbai. It will be a 20-day stint after which the unit will head to Europe for the final leg. The director plans to film some songs and an action sequence in the foreign stint. He is currently on a recce in Europe and will lock the locations by the weekend. Robbie’s plan is to wrap up the project by May.”

Since its inception, Amazon Prime Video in India has delivered several memorable shows, but Panchayat stands out. The show, set in a small village in North India, is loved for its simplicity, humour, performances and also because it appeals to audiences of all ages. The first season dropped in 2020 and became a huge hit. The second season which came in 2022 was as exciting and entertaining as part 1 and also got huge viewership. As a result, there’s tremendous excitement for the third season, which is ready and is expected to stream soon. At the grand Amazon Prime Video event last week, the attendees got a sneak peek of the teaser of Panchayat’s Season 3. It was quite loved as it unveiled an interesting plot point of the show.

It turns out that the character of Ganesh (Aasif Khan) returns in Season 3. Ganesh was seen in Season 1 in an interesting cameo of a disgruntled groom who gets into a fight with Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar), the lead of the series and secretary of Phulera Gram Panchayat. Ganesh’s character has become immortal in the world of memes, thanks to the dialogue ‘Gazab beizzati hai’. Though it was not uttered by him, he can be seen in the meme, and it’s associated with him generally.

The teaser of Panchayat’s Season 3 depicts that Abhishek has been transferred to a different village. Ganesh, meanwhile, takes his place as the ‘sachiv’ (secretary) at the Gram Panchayat at Phulera. Though Ganesh is married to Raveena, the daughter of Phluera resident Parmeshwar (Shrikant Verma), the former didn’t have a good experience in the village on the day of his marriage. How this aspect affects Ganesh’s equation with the Phulera residents and the sarpanch Manju Devi (Neena Gupta), husband Brij Bhushan Dubey (Raghubir Yadav), Prahlad (Faisal Malik) and Vikas (Chandan Roy) remains to be seen.

It has been over a decade since the release of Krrish 3 in 2013, and the absence of any concrete information about the next film has left fans eagerly awaiting news of its development. However, in a recent update provided by filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, it appears that progress is finally being made. After a long wait filled with anticipation, fans of the Indian superhero franchise Krrish finally have reason to rejoice. In 2023, it was reported that Rakesh Roshan hinted Krrish 4 wouldn't begin production until the end of 2024. Now, Mid-day reveals that both Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan are gearing up to kickstart the project sooner than expected.

According to sources close to the production, Hrithik Roshan will be actively involved in conceptualizing the next installment of the superhero saga while simultaneously shooting for War 2. Collaborating with his father and their in-house team of writers, the aim is to solidify the primary idea for Krrish 4 this year. According to the publication, a source said, “The project is currently in development. Hrithik has scheduled brainstorming sessions throughout the summer. Both Rakesh and he wants to deliver a story that will exceed expectations.”

While details about the plot remain under wraps, earlier rumours suggested that Krrish 4 could explore the realm of intergalactic travel. With plans to lock in the primary concept in 2024, the stage will be set for the commencement of shooting in 2025. The source added, “The team has explored and subsequently shot down a lot of ideas. The makers are certain that if the story doesn’t work, they won’t go ahead with it. The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has come up with its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Among them are two names from the entertainment industry in the form of Kangana Ranaut and Arun Govil. They will be fighting from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh and Meerut constituency in Uttar Pradesh respectively.

Kangana has been a vocal supporter of BJP and its governance for years. After getting the news, the Gangster actress shared her happiness on her X (formerly Twitter) page by writing, “My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta’s own party, Bharatiya Janta party (BJP) has always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Loksabha candidate from my birth place Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency) I abide by the high command’s decision on contesting Loksabha polls. I feel honoured and elated to officially join the party. I look forward to be a worthy karyakarta and a reliable public servant. Thanks.”

Arun Govil, who is already a member of the BJP since 2021, is best known for his portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s classic television show Ramayan on Doordarshan. He has also acted in a number of Hindi movies. He will next be seen in the role of Lord Vitthal in the Hindi movie Sant Tukaram, where well-known Marathi actor Subodh Bhave will be the titular role.

Kangana, on the other hand, will next be seen in the role of India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie Emergency, which she has also directed.

Excel Entertainment's out-and-out comedy entertainer Madgaon Express has been released in nationwide cinemas. Ever since the release, the Kunal Kemmu directorial has glued the audiences to it, offering them a box of complete laughter and madness in the cinemas. The audiences are unanimously praising the film, the writing, the comedy elements, and also the trio of Partik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, and Divyenndu Sharma.

Madgaon Express takes the audiences on a trip down memory lane with the youthful comedy entertainer vibes attached to it. The film registered a 100% jump in nationwide cinemas on Day 2, in comparison with Day 1. Vijay Varma and Tammanaah Bhatia have been in a relationship for almost a year. The couple have made several public appearances and often talk about each other. But, how did the love story begin? In a recent chat with Tanmay Bhat during Murder Mubarak promotions on Netflix, Vijay recalled texting Tamannaah after wrapping Lust Stories 2.

During the conversation, Vijay said, “Lust Stories was a cupid but it wasn’t during the shoot that we started dating. There was discussion of a wrap party happening but it never happened. So, we wanted to have a wrap party and so only four people showed up... That day I feel like I told her that I want to hang out more with you. Then it took me 20-25 days for the first date to happen after that.”

The election season is here and like every time, the political parties are attempting to get film stars to stand for elections to increase their chances of winning. It has come to light that the chief minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, is in talks with actor Govinda to be Shiv Sena’s candidate from the Mumbai North West seat. Meanwhile, there are reports that Congress is wooing actress Swara Bhasker to fight the elections.

There are conflicting reports on who was the first one to approach. Some reports claim that Eknath Shinde made the first move and met Govinda around 5 days ago while according to certain reports, Govinda called the CM on Friday, March 22, and asked for a ticket. It is also said that the other Shiv Sena faction, led by Uddhav Thackeray, has decided to give the ticket of the same constituency to Amol Kirtikar. Amol’s father, Gajanan Kirtikar, a sitting MP, is with Shinde Sena and he doesn’t want to fight against his son. Hence, Eknath Shinde zeroed in on Govinda.

The decision of Govinda to enter politics yet again has caused a stir in political as well as Bollywood circles. In 2004, Govinda won from Mumbai North on a Congress ticket, breaking BJP’s five-term streak. However, the actor was criticized for not giving enough time to his political career.

In an interview with Bombay Times in December 2016, Govinda said, “I have no regrets about my career in films, but I regret joining politics. I didn't get a film for 10 years. I planned to leave politics while I was still a part of it, but I completed my term and never looked back.” Last year, a fake tweet, over a political row in Haryana, attributed to him went viral. That’s when the actor claimed, “It’s been 18 years since I quit politics, I won’t slyly tweet to get back into it.”

On the other hand, Swara Bhasker, known for her acting chops as well as her activism, is said to be one of the candidates that Congress is considering for the Mumbai North Central seat. Reports also state that the other candidate who might get the Congress ticket for the same seat is veteran actor Raj Babbar.

Directed by Abbas Mustan, Baazigar is a story about Madan Chopra, passionate about racing, befriends Vicky Malhotra after his final win. Vicky falls for Madan's daughter Priya, much to Madan's joy, leading to plans for their marriage. Tragedy strikes when Seema, Madan's other daughter, allegedly dies by suicide. Eager to avoid scandal, Madan wants to close the case, but Seema's college friend, Inspector Karan, suspects foul play. Together, they uncover a sinister plot that threatens Madan and others. The comic caper Madgaon Express released today in cinemas and has got positive reviews from a majority of critics. The film is significant as it marks the directorial debut of actor Kunal Kemmu. Starring Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, Avinash Tiwary and Nora Fatehi, the names mentioned under ‘Special Thanks’ at the beginning of the film are sure to catch attention. This is because superstar Salman Khan and prominent filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap and Rohit Shetty have been thanked by the makers. It made many people curious since the trio are not associated with the film in any capacity.

Bollywood Hungama has learned the reason behind their mention. A source told us, “In the film, Dodo (Divyenndu) uses a photo editing software to pretend to the world that he keeps bumping into famous celebs. In one scene in the film, he’s seen ‘posing’ with superstar Salman Khan. In another shot, he puts a picture of him posing with Anurag Kashyap on social media. Kunal took permission from both of them and they were gracious enough to allow it. In the film, Anurag is even seen commenting on the photoshopped image, asking Dodo ‘Tu hai kaun’!”

As for Rohit Shetty, the source replied, “Kunal Kemmu and Rohit Shetty have worked together in Golmaal 3 (2010) and Golmaal Again (2017) and have a deep bond. Rohit heard Madgaon Express’ plot and found it quite promising. He encouraged Kunal to get into direction. Kunal was touched by Rohit Shetty’s constant support and hence, the mass filmmaker also got thanked.”

At the trailer launch of Madgaon Express, Kunal Kemmu revealed how he got the idea to make the film. He said, “Often, people say that their venture is a product of love. I think this (Madgaon Express) is a product of rage! Bahut zyada gussa aaya hua tha. Ghar baith ke soch raha tha ‘Kya ho raha hai?’. Kuch samaj mein nahin aa raha tha ki kya karein. I had two options – either I should get angry with myself and cry ya fir main aisa karoon jisse khud ko bhi hasee aayein aur dusro ko bhi. That’s what gave birth to Madgaon Express. Its characters helped me out of this time in life. They became my imaginary best friends and I started weaving a story around them.”

Dil Chahta Hai remains a classic. From Goa plans to friendship, it navigated the lives of three men starring Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan. It's been 23 years since the film was released marking Farhan Akhtar's foray into cinema as a director and changing the era of content in the industry. However, there have been calls for a sequel and it doesn't bore Farhan to hear it.

Speaking to Indian Express during Madgaon Express promotions, Farhan Akhtar said, “It doesn’t bore me. Whenever someone asks me that, it feels amazing that people have so much love for the first film that they are asking for the sequel. I always appreciate that, so it can’t bore me ever. But I don’t feel I need to do a Dil Chahta Hai 2. I feel that film has done what it had to do, I said what I had to say. Anything on it now will be trying to add something to a story that doesn’t need any additions.”

“For me films like a Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to a certain extent the first Rock On, Jee Le Zara — obviously that is still to be made — but they occupy the same kind of emotional space in terms of the stories that are being told that I experienced when I did Dil Chahta Hai. So I have never thought about going back and doing a sequel,” he added.

Meanwhile, Excel Entertainment’s Madgaon Express was released in theatres today. It stars Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary and Nora Fatehi among others. It was reported earlier that OMG 2 director Amit Rai is teaming up with Shahid Kapoor for a movie on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life, produced by Wakaoo Films. Now, it's revealed that Telugu producer Dil Raju is joining hands with Wakaoo Films for this project. The film is currently in pre-production, spearheaded by producers Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl. Previously, Raju and Shahid were to work together on Aneez Bazmee’s comedy film in which the actor had a double role. However, it did not pan out.

A source told Pinkvilla, “The yet untitled film with Shahid Kapoor is one of the most ambitious films of Indian Cinema and the makers are looking to celebrate the valour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the spectacle. They don’t want to leave any stone unturned and are partnering with the best in the business. Shahid Kapoor, Wakaoo Films, and Amit Rai have found their perfect partner in Dil Raju.”

“Amit Rai has been working on the subject for a while now and this happens to be his dream project. The writing and research work is underway, and the makers are also working on the pre-visualization of certain aspects. The idea is to make an authentic film on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” the source added.

“It’s impossible to retell Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life in a 3-hour feature film as every chapter of his life makes for a film in itself. The yet untitled Amit Rai directorial revolves around one of the most heroic wins of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” the source concluded.

In conversation with Zoom TV, Bobby Deol said that Dharmendra had the sweetest reaction to all the accolades and reactions he is receiving post Animal. “When Animal released and I came home, my dad said to me – because he loves social media – ‘Sab log tere deewane ho rahe hai’ (People are going crazy for you). I said ‘Papa, main aapka beta hoon, deewane nahi honge to kya hoge.’ (Papa I am your son, of course they would go crazy.) It was a very special moment for me.”

The actor also said that he is thankful to everyone for their love and support. “There are so many nice people in this industry. When Animal released, the kind of love I got from this industry was so beautiful, so special. Everyone didn't need to call me. I feel our industry is so amazing. The association between Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the streaming giant was announced at a grand event held by Amazon Prime Video in Mumbai. And now, we have learnt that the reputed producer has one more exciting project up his sleeve.

Some even speculated that the producer has entered the real estate business.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Sajid Nadiadwala is putting his ambitious plans in place at this venue. A reliable source told us, “Mr Nadiadwala is constructing a state-of-the-art VFX studio at this plot. It has been his dream project for several years and it’s finally coming to fruition.”

When asked for more details, the source replied, “Not much is known as the project has been kept a secret. But we have learnt that he will be collaborating with an international VFX studio for his dream venture.”

We reached out to the spokesperson of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, who confirmed this development.

An industry insider commented, “This is a huge step for Sajid Nadiadwala. VFX is indispensable in today’s times and with this vertical, he can get the VFX-related work done in-house for his movies. And like Red Chillies.VFX and NY VFXWaala, he can also encourage other producers to use this facility. Knowing him, I am sure the services offered will be top-class.”

Just a day ago, reports of a major change in cast on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai left fans shocked. It seems that producer Rajan Shahi was left disappointed with Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe for their misbehaviour towards the crew. Despite several warnings when they refused to change it, they were fired from the show despite playing lead characters. Now the latest update on that front is that Samriddhii Shukla, who plays the protagonist Abhira, will now be joined by Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani.

The highly-awaited film Maidaan is finally releasing next month in cinemas after a long wait. The Ajay Devgn-starrer faced numerous delays as the team faced various challenges. With the release nearly three weeks away, the makers of the film have now faced one more hurdle. A vendor has filed a case against Maidaan’s producer Boney Kapoor over non-payment of dues of nearly Rs. 1 crore.

As per a report in Mid-Day, the suit has been filed by Ninad Nayampally of Meherafrin Investments Private Limited at a civil court in Dindoshi, Mumbai against Boney Kapoor and also the other producers. Moreover, Ninad has even sought an injunction to prevent the release of Maidaan on Eid.

Ninad Nayampally told Mid-Day that they provided camera-related equipment to the unit of Maidaan. He revealed that initially, their invoices were cleared but the situation changed from December 2020. Once the payments stopped coming, Ninad raised the issue with Boney Kapoor. Ninad stated that Boney, at that time, assured them that their dues would be cleared. But when that didn’t happen, they decided to issue a legal notice to Boney Kapoor’s production house, Bayview Projects LLP.

Ninad Nayampally then said, “Having no route left, we took the legal recourse and issued a legal notice to Bayview and its directors with the intention that we would get some clarification on our dues. To our surprise, there was no response to our legal notice. Left with no other option, approaching the court of law was the only solution for our recovery.”

Easiah Dhanpal Xavier, who is also the complainant in the suit, added, “The producer had assured us that the outstanding dues would be settled before the release of the film. However, the producer and his partners have ceased all communications with us. Their conduct indicates a clear lack of intention to settle the outstanding dues owed to us.”

The article also carries screenshots of WhatsApp chats between Boney Kapoor and the vendor. It dates back to July 2023 and depicts the vendor asking for payment and when their dues would be cleared. Boney doesn’t reply to these pleas. Another screenshot shows the vendor once again approaching the producer in August. This time, Boney Kapoor asks him to meet him after August 14 or 15. This is followed by the vendor messaging on August 21 and 22 to ask about the meeting, which proves that both never met after August 15. These messages also didn't elicit a response from the veteran producer.

Boney Kapoor, however, spoke to Mid-Day and he claimed that he owes Rs. 63 lakhs and not Rs. 1 crore to Meherafrin Investments Private Limited. He stated, “I have spoken to my team and he (Ninad) has been told that he would be paid before the release of the picture, which is only a month away. Not only he, other vendors also have been promised the same. Everybody knows that the (movie) was stuck because of COVID.”

He continued, “I have made 45 films and nobody has been deprived in my company. There is no way that I will avoid any kind of payment. This is nothing but an arm-twisting tactic. I will clear whatever the bill is, excluding interest on the pending amount. We will reply to whatever is mentioned in the suit in court but he can’t seek an injunction before Rs 63 lakh is paid.”

Veteran screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar has addressed the recent uproar sparked by filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga's reaction to his veiled critique of Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor. In an interview with Mojo Story, Javed emphasized that while Sandeep has the creative liberty to produce films like Animal, he pointed out that the director has not identified any shortcomings in his extensive 53-year film career.

“I was not criticising the filmmaker at all. I think in a democratic society, he has the right to make one Animal, and many Animals. I was concerned about the audience, not about the filmmaker. In the same interview, the lyricist and writer, despite not having seen the film, acknowledged Sandeep's right to valorize characters, as protected by the Constitution. However, his concern was directed towards the millions who celebrated it.

For unversed, Vanga has also called out the misogyny in Akhtar’s son Farhan Akhtar’s show Mirzapur. To this, Javed Akhtar said, “When he responded to me, I was honoured. In 53 years of my career, he could not find one film, one script, one scene, one dialogue, one song. So he had to go to my son's office and find a TV serial, which is neither acted, directed nor written by Farhan. His company has produced it. Nowadays, these big companies like Excel are producing a lot of things. So one of them is this. He mentioned that. It flattered me to no end. 53 years ke career mein tum kuch bhi nahi nikaal paye (You couldn't find anything sexist in 53 years of my career)? What a shame.”

The controversy erupted when Javed Akhtar criticized the much-talked-about shoe-licking scene in Animal featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Triptii Dimri. At an event, he said, “I believe it’s a testing time for the young filmmakers today as to what kind of characters they want to create that the society will applaud. For instance, if there’s a film in which a man asks a woman to lick his shoe or if a man says it’s okay to slap a woman, and if the film is a super duper hit, then that’s very dangerous.”

Responding to Akhtar’s criticism, Vanga told Siddharth Kannan, “Why didn’t he tell the same thing to Farhan Akhtar when he was producing Mirzapur. Duniya bhar ke gaali Mirzapur ek show mai hai (the series is full of abuses) and I haven’t watched the whole show. When the show was translated to Telugu, if you watch that, then you will feel like puking. Why is he not checking his son’s work?”

On the work front, Javed Akhtar will work on Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 and Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947. Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has Prabhas’ Spirit and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal Park. The teaser of Crew was launched last month and it instantly made the film one of the most awaited of the season. Starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon, it is based on three air hostesses and how their life changes all of a sudden. The teaser indicates that the film will have lots of humour and also a dash of crime. Meanwhile, Bollywood Hungama learned of an interesting aspect of the film that is doing the rounds.

It is being speculated that Crew is inspired by the Kingfisher Airlines bankruptcy episode, which rocked the country more than a decade ago. The speculations arose thanks to some of the moments and dialogues in the teaser. At one point, Kareena Kapoor Khan in the promo complains that she has been serving the passengers veg and non-veg food for free. Also, the motivation of the characters to take the route of crime has further given rise to this speculation. Moreover, the name of the company where the characters work in the film is Kohinoor Airlines. It sounds very similar to Kingfisher Airlines.

Kingfisher Airlines was owned by Vijay Mallya and it began operations in 2005. The airline was loved at one point for its stellar service, reasonable costs and for being the first airline to provide in-flight entertainment even on domestic routes. Soon, the airline ran into losses and ceased operations in October 2012. Thousands of employees weren’t paid their salaries and it became a national issue. The matter became so big that Vijay Mallya fled the country and hasn’t been to India ever since.

Coming back to Crew, it also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. It is directed by Rajesh Krishnan of Lootcase (2020) fame and is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor. It releases in cinemas on March 29.

Actors Saif Ali Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat and Nikita Dutta have begun shooting for an upcoming action-packed heist thriller titled Jewel Thief, as per reports. The film, helmed by director Robbie Grewal of Romeo Akbar Walter fame, is being produced by Siddharth Anand under his banner Marflix. This marks Anand's second production venture following Fighter.

The yet-untitled film, which is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix, promises to deliver a gripping narrative filled with adrenaline-pumping action sequences and intense showdowns. Contrary to its title, Jewel Thief is not a remake or a sequel of the classic Dev Anand film; rather, it's a distinct story carefully crafted by Robbie Grewal, with Anand himself selecting the title for its resonance with the film's plot.

According to report by PinkVilla, the central conflict of Jewel Thief revolves around a captivating battle royale between Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat, two powerhouse performers known for their versatility and prowess on screen. An insider revealed, “While the film is titled Jewel Thief, it has got nothing to do with the original film starring the legendary Dev Anand. Siddharth Anand had this title registered under his banner and believes that the title is apt for the subject of this Robbie Grewal directorial.” Industry insiders estimate that Netflix acquired the film for a staggering Rs. 60 crore.

Siddharth Anand is currently in the process of developing projects with directors Rohit Dhawan and Sujoy Ghosh, featuring stars like Tiger Shroff and Shah Rukh Khan with his daughter Suhana Khan making her debut. While his directorial schedule remains flexible, Anand has already committed to Tiger vs Pathaan for YRF in 2025.
