Vidyut Jammwal had a pre-birthday celebration yesterday through a meet-and-greet event with his die-hard fans in Juhu, Mumbai. The actor’s special day happens to be on 10 December.

The event saw a number of his fans coming down from various parts of the country. Among these, one fan cycled all the way from Panipat just to meet him. Three others got his name tattooed on them. Vidyut had arranged a special treat for them.

Moved by the love showered by his fans, Vidyut said in a statement, “I am ever grateful for the love and dedication I get from this family. They give me a lot of strength. I wanted to do something special for them since they have put so much faith in me. I love loving people who love me. These people got my name tattooed for my birthday and rode on a bicycle for 1600 kms to meet me, so I wanted to give back and wanted to spend some quality time with them.”

On the work front, Vidyut was seen in one movie this year in the form of Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha, the second film in the franchise. He was also part of the reality show India’s Ultimate Warrior.

Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, announced on Tuesday on Instagram that he has completed the writing of his first project, a series which will also be directed and showrun by him. The project is expected to go on floors in 2023.

Aryan had shared a picture of a script and a clapboard with "Red Chillies Entertainment" written on it. He captioned the post as, "Wrapped with the writing...can't wait to say action (camera emoticon)."

Reacting to Aryan Khan's announcement, Gauri Khan commented, “Can’t wait to watch.” “Wooooo,” wrote Shanaya Kapoor who is friends with Suhana Khan. Ananya Panday's mom Bhavana wrote, “Congratulations !!!!! Lots of love."

Earlier, it was reported that the story revolves around the tinsel town and it is a comedy. It is a fictional telling of the Hindi film industry and Red Chillies Entertainment’s in-house writers are working on the project.

Actor Akshay Kumar has a bunch of interesting projects in the pipeline for the coming year. Adding one more to the list, on Tuesday, the actor announced that he has started shooting for Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. Hours after the announcement, he unveiled the first look of his character Shree Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Produced by Vaseem Qureshi under his banner Qureshi Productions, it will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. 

Akshay Kumar took to his social platform to share the first look video from his upcoming period drama Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. In the video, he can be seen taking a walk while sporting a resemblance to the Indian ruler. As soon as he shared the video, a section of fans started showering love on him while wishing him “all the best” for his Marathi debut 

The actor’s Marathi debut has built an immense amount of anticipation amongst moviegoers and has increased the excitement level to a new high.  The movie is about the story of Seven valiant warriors who had the sole aim of bringing Shivaji Maharaj’s dream of Swarajya to reality, writing one of the most glorious pages of history is all set to release in cinemas in 2023.

Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Vaseem Qureshi. The film is a Qureshi Production presentation and is all set to release in cinemas on Diwali 2023 in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.

Malaika Arora is back on screens with a new reality show Moving In With Malaika. The first episode was unveiled on Disney+ Hotstar on Monday. The celebrity spoke candidly about her marriage with her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan with Farah Khan.

In a conversation with choreographer Farah Khan, Malaika spoke about her past and present relationships. She said, “I am the one who proposed to Arbaaz. Nobody knows. It was not Arbaaz who proposed to me. It was the other way around. I actually said, ‘I want to get married. Are you ready?’ Very sweetly he (Arbaaz) actually turned around and told me, ‘You pick the day and the place.’”

Malaika added, "I know how much you love him. He is a wonderful person. He let me be the person I am today. I feel a lot of me that I am today is also because of him because he let me be the person I am."

Malaika further revealed, "We drifted. We were too young. I was very young. I think I also changed. I also wanted different things in life. Somewhere I felt that was missing in my space and I needed to move on. I felt the only way I could do that is if I could actually probably let go of certain ties. I think today we are better people. We love and respect each other for the people that we are. We have a child together. So that is something that will never ever change. But I feel we are far better people. Then, I think we were very irritable. Very irritable people. We became angry, negative people."

Farah Khan revealed, "Towards the end. Till Dabang you all were fine. Then I also saw the difference." Malaika said, "I also remember very few people actually said that to me. You, Karan (Johar), very few people actually said that to me. They actually turned around and said, ‘You know what? Irrespective. We love you. Whatever the situation may be, whatever it may be, we love you’. I will never forget that. I will always. I feel happy.'' Malaika was in tears and Farah hugged her.

Earlier this year, Malaika met with an accident. She said that Arbaaz Khan was one of the first faces she saw in the hospital. She revealed, “When I was wheeled out one of the first faces that I saw was actually Arbaaz, at that moment. And he kept asking me, 'Can you see? How many numbers? How many fingers?' And I was like 'why is he doing this?' It was very strange. For a second, I was like, okay, 'have I gone back in time?' Something that really sticks out is in difficult times. You know that irrespective, whatever it may be, past, present, future, joh bhi ho (whatever happened), the way he was there.”

"There was so much glass shard in my eye and there was blood, so I couldn't see. For me, at that moment, I genuinely thought that I don't think I will survive and I may not see Arhaan again. I was taken to hospital, surgery happened, etc.," she added.

Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan were married nearly for 18 years. The couple announced their separation in 2016 and officially got divorced in 2017. They have a son, Arhaan. Malaika is currently in a relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor.

Aditya Chopra and ace director Siddharth Anand are trying to make Pathaan India’s biggest-ever action spectacle for audiences! The visually spectacular Yash Raj Films’ action extravaganza, Pathaan, is part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and has the biggest superstars of the country Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in it.

South Korean superstar Song Joong Ki is back on the TV screens with a new series Reborn Rich. After starring in last year’s super hit K-drama, Vincenzo, he is back with a new project, which is set in the 1980’s turbulent era of South Korea and is a reincarnation story. As the series is heading towards an interesting plotline, it has also dethroned Park Eun Bin starrer Extraordinary Attorney Woo to become the most-watched mini-series of 2022.

As per the Korean media portal, Soompi, the revenge reincarnation drama starring Song Joong Ki in the lead achieved its highest viewership ratings to date on December 4 when episode 8 aired. According to Nielsen Korea, as per the report, the series had a viewership “rating of 19.449 percent, marking an impressive 3.3 percent jump from the night before.” The previous record was held by Extraordinary Attorney Woo which achieved “17.534 percent rating” when its finale aired back in August.

The drama is written by Kim Tae Hee, who previously worked on the K-dramas, Designated Survivor: 60 Days and Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and writer Jang Eun Jae. The series is directed by Jung Dae Yoon.

The series is based on the hit novel “Reborn Rich”. The series premiered on November 19, 2022 and will air until January 8, 2023, taking the Friday, Saturday and Sunday primetime slots on the JTBC network.

Akshay Kumar released a record of 4 films this year in cinemas and 1 on OTT. And in 2023, he’s expected to have multiple releases, as expected. The superstar recently made his presence felt at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where he shared an interesting detail about his upcoming film. Akshay revealed on Saturday, December 3, while having a conversation with moderator Kaleem Aftab that one of his forthcoming films talks about the importance of sex education. Akshay stated, "It’s a very important subject. In a lot of places, (sex education) is not there. We have all kinds of subjects we learn in school and sex education is one topic I would like all the schools in the world to have. (This film is) going to take time to release, it’s going to be April [or] May."

Akshay Kumar, however, didn’t mention the name of the film. Fans were left wondering which film this might be. Bollywood Hungama has the answer to it. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The film Akshay Kumar spoke about is none other than OMG Oh My God 2. It is a hard-hitting yet entertaining courtroom drama wherein a concerned citizen moves court and asks for compulsory sex education in schools.”

OMG Oh My God, which was released in 2012, was also a courtroom drama and starred Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. It was the story of Kanji (Paresh Rawal), an atheist, whose shop got destroyed in an earthquake. When the insurance company refused to reimburse him citing ‘act of God’, Kanji filed a case against God. Akshay Kumar played Lord Krishna and how He became a part of Kanji’s struggle formed the crux of the film.

In OMG Oh My God 2, Akshay Kumar is rumoured to be playing Lord Shiva, evident from the first look. The source continued, “A film named OMG Oh My God will of course have a divine connection. The writers and director Amit Rai have smartly incorporated the God element and the unusual court case revolving around sex education. The makers are confident that it’ll pull audiences and ignite a discussion.” Besides Akshay, it also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar, while talking about the film at the festival, also hinted about its release period – April or May 2023. An industry expert told Bollywood Hungama, “The month of April is crowded with releases. May 2023 is an apt time. Besides Yaariyan 2 and Swatantraveer Savarkar, no other film is scheduled for release.”

Pat comes the witty filmmaker’s response, “Tum bhi toh star kid ho (you are also a star kid).” Later when he makes the soup and serves her, a thrilled Kajol is seen saying, “Filmein bhi aise hi bana lena, bina star kids ke (make films also in a similar way, albeit, without the star kids)”. After the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan announced a break from doing Bollywood. The actor-producer recently celebrated a special moment in his life as a proud father as his daughter Ira Khan (with first wife Reema) and her fiancé Nupur Shikhare hosted a special engagement bash for their family, friends and relatives. Now, the actor has given a heartfelt interview to Humans of Bombay in which he recalled the time when his family struggled for family. He revealed that his father Tahir Hussain was a great producer but a bad businessman as he was always paying off debts.

Recalling the struggling days, Aamir Khan said, “I remember there was this film called Locket. It had Jitendra, Rekha, Kader Khan, like some of the biggest actors. At that point of time, actors would do about 30 films a year. So if you are not that famous a producer, you wouldn’t get that kind of priority. So my father would get pushed around. This film got stuck for dates and it took eight years for my father to make it.” Talking about how people would often call at his residence, demanding their money, Aamir added, “Situation was so bad that we were almost on the streets.”

He continued, “Unko problem mein dekh ke takleef hoti thi kyuki un logon ke phone aate the jinse paise liye hain. Unka jhagda shuru hojata tha phone pe ki ‘main kya karu, mere paas paise nahi hai. Meri film atki hai, mere actors ko boliye dates dein mujhe, main kya karu.’ (we were so troubled and hurt to see him in that condition. People, who had loaned him money, would call. They would start arguing and fighting as my father would insist that he doesn’t have any money to pay them off. He would question them saying that his film is stuck because actors are not giving him dates, what should I do?)”

The actor became emotional when he reminisced about how he, a 10-year-old boy then, felt helpless about not being able help out his father. “The thing that would trouble us most was to see our father like that. He was a very simple man. Maybe he didn't have enough sense that he should not have taken so much loan,” he added.

“My father was an above average producer. His sensibilities were nice and he did choose good stories but he didn’t understand business. We can only draw this conclusion because his films have worked well but he was always in debt,” he concluded.

Anushka Sharma, who is currently working on Chakda Xpress, will soon be releasing the sports biopic on OTT. As she is busy juggling between work and personal commitments, the actress caught up with a recent release on Netflix – Qala. The film in question features Triptii Dimri in the titular character and it also marks the acting debut of Babil Khan, son of Irrfan Khan. Anushka, who has worked with Triptii in her production Bulbbul, was rather impressed with her other Netflix release, and heaped praises on not just the actress but also the entire team of the film.

Anushka Sharma took to Instagram to share her review and opinion about Qala and defined it as a true work of art. She posted in her story saying, “A daughters heartbreaking yearning for her mother’s love. Qala is a work of art. It’s heartbreaking and exhilarating equally. Exhilarating because of the genius of each department that comes through in telling this detailed story and heartbreaking for portraying emotional abuse by an emotionally unstable parent in a way that’s never been done before by a film.”

She further went on to detail out how much she loved the work of the team of the film. She continued, “@anvita_dee UFF!! Your story telling is so true and original and you tell it like a poet, like a painting! You have detailed this film so excellently! @tripti_dimri WOW! You are one of the most talented actors of this generation! Qala is a period drama set against the backdrop of 1930s Kolkata and is revolves around the life of a singer and the music industry. The film features Babil Khan and Triptii Dimri as singers.

Zee TV’s singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has been ruling hearts of audiences for almost 3 decades. After introducing the world to talented singers, the show also planned on bringing forth the musical talent of young singers with the help of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs, which is now in its ninth season. This season viewers are getting to watch a fresh panel of judges which includes Shankar Mahadevan, Anu Malik, and Neeti Mohan guide the young singing sensation with Bharti Singh as the host. It seems that there is a special surprise for viewers this weekend as legendary playback singer – Nitin Mukesh will be a part of the special episode, ‘Celebrating 100 years of Mukesh’.

Amidst some spectacular performances, Nitin Mukesh recalled memories of his father Mukesh and even opened up about his long period of struggle. Despite giving the industry, some of the most popular songs like ‘Awara Hoon’ and ‘Mera Joota Hai Japani’, the singer had faced his share of hardships.

Nitin Mukesh said, “I have never heard of anyone’s struggle with so many ups and downs in life.  He has gone days without drinking water and eating food, but the strange thing is that he became ‘The Mukesh Ji’ after singing famous songs like ‘Awara Hoon’ and ‘Mera Joota Hai Japani’, and yet struggled for six to seven years after that. There was a time when he couldn’t afford to pay the school fees for me and my sister. I still remember that there was a vegetable vendor near our house who absolutely loved Mukesh Ji and was so fond of his voice that he offered to lend him some money. That’s how Mukesh Ji paid our school fees, but, nor did he or the vendor ever let this information reach us. But our mother used to tell us everything, saying that ‘see how papa is going through a tough time’. These are the memories that I will never forget, and I pray that I can follow in his footsteps. He never gave up and always said that he will emerge as a winner, and he did.”

After Nitin shared these heartfelt stories, judge Shankar Mahadevan responded, saying, “These stories are surely going to inspire and motivate all the contestants to work hard towards their dreams.”

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 pm on Zee TV.

Actress Bhumi Pednekar plays Vicky Kaushal’s hottie wife in Shashank Khaitan’s Govinda Naam Mera. The young actress, who has become a force to reckon with in Indian cinema with stellar performances in every film that she has done so far, has been getting praises for her acting in the film, and especially for the mike-drop moments due to her hilarious dialogues!

Bhumi is thrilled that the makers have empowered her character to deliver the punchlines on screen because it changes the status quo in the industry because a man used to always mouth the best dialogues in a genre like romantic comedy!

Bhumi says, “I honestly have loved delivering the punches in the film and I have to admit that I have been given some of the most hilarious punchlines by Shashank! What I love the most about my dialoguebaazi in Govinda Naam Mera is that they are from the heroine’s side and that’s refreshing for a romantic comedy in the Hindi film industry because traditionally only heroes used to get all the great dialogues in a genre like this and make people laugh.”

She adds, “I’m glad that my producer Karan Johar and my director Shashank Khaitan thought of subverting the norm and empowering a girl to deliver some of the most cracking dialogues that I have seen on screen in recent times. Gauri Waghmare is literally one of most favourite characters that I have played on screen.”

About her character, Bhumi further adds, “She is an equal to a man and constantly reminds a man that her gender doesn’t make her inferior and that she is the master of her own actions and decisions. I hope I can entertain everyone with this role and audiences laugh their hearts out when they see the film.”

Also starring Kiara Advani and produced by Dharma Productions, Govinda Naam Mera will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from December 16.
