BTS successfully hosted the World Expo 2030 Busan Korea concert called BTS “Yet To Come” in Busan. Through in-person concert, in-person live broadcast, online live stream and TV broadcast, the concert was viewed from 229 countries/regions. As ambassadors for World Expo 2030 Busan, Korea, BTS hosted the grand show to introduce Busan and Korean culture to a worldwide audience in an effort to boost interest in Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030.

The in-person concert at Busan Asiad Main Stadium was attended by approximately 50,000 people. The estimated number of viewers at the in-person live broadcast in Busan Port reached about 10,000. While there were an estimated 2,000 people watching the Live Play in Haeundae, the area was further crowded as it was open to the public. The online live stream through Weverse generated approximately 49 million views alone. The TV broadcast on Korea’s JTBC reached an exceptionally high rating of 3.3%.

BTS opened the Busan concert with their slick track ‘Mic Drop’. The septet boasted their top-notch choreography with ‘Run BTS’ for the first time. For the unit performances, Jin, Jimin, V and Jung Kook performed ‘00:00 (Zero O'Clock)’ and ‘Butterfly’ while RM, SUGA and j-hope staged ‘UGH!’ and ‘BTS Cypher PT.3 : KILLER’, heightening the mood throughout the stadium. The septet continued the show with familiar hit songs such as ‘Dynamite’, ‘Butter’, ‘Burning Up (FIRE)’, ‘IDOL’, and ‘Spring Day’. BTS performed 19 songs in total, all arranged for a live band. The setlist comprised songs that best represent the band and anyone—beyond ARMY—can easily sing along.

The concert was filled with symbolic elements that represent Busan and Korean culture. For instance, BTS performed ‘Ma City’ showcasing graphic images of Busan’s beautiful landmarks and scenery. ‘IDOL’ stage caught the eyes of the global audience with Korean traditional visuals and performances such as Bukcheong saja noreum (a Korean traditional game that involves dancing with lion masks).

BTS said, “We hope our concert tonight will help promote Busan and support the city’s bid to host World Expo 2030 in Busan.” They added later, “As the title ‘BTS ‘Yet To Come’ in BUSAN’ suggests, we have no doubt that tonight was the best moment for everyone here and the seven of us. With our hopes to spend another brightest moment together again, we present to you our last song of the night.” BTS closed the show with “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment),” suggesting a brighter future for all.

The concert provided a rich experience to many citizens of Busan and visitors through its various activations, further highlighting Busan’s unique charms. ‘2022 BTS EXHIBITION : Proof’ in both Seoul (September 28~) and Busan (October 5), featuring interactive content, garnered approximately 20,000 visitors by October 15 and more than two-thirds of the visitors at the Busan site were foreigners. The pop-up stores for the official concert merchandise in Seoul and Busan attracted 16,000 visitors, of which 10,000 visited the Busan site. The ‘Yet To Come’ themed package also attracted a great number of people, in which two-thirds of the total reservations were made by foreigners. Not to mention, the pre-gathering event was packed with hundreds of people celebrating and enjoying the excitement before the concert. With people wishing to continue their enthusiasm of the concert through various BTS themed multimedia shows, nearly 4,000 tickets for BTS ‘Yet To Come’ in Busan The City – After Party were sold out.

Social media also proved the heat with more than 9.3 million keyword hashtag counts related to the concert and the city on Twitter, and keywords related to World Expo 2030 Busan recorded more than 200,000 counts. Proving the festive atmosphere throughout Busan and the excitement towards World Expo 2030 Busan, the number of references saw 45 times bigger than that of last year.

In the hope of hosting the World Expo 2030 in Busan, the city celebrated the Busan show on a grand scale with a drone show at Gwangalli Beach. Moreover, major landmarks such as Busan Metropolitan City Hall, Gwangan Bridge, etc. will continue to be lit up in purple, reenacting ‘BORAHAE BUSAN’ through October 17.

The host country of World Expo 2030 will be elected by BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) Member States. If Busan succeeds in its bid, World Expo 2030 Busan, Korea will be held in Busan North Port Area from May 1 through October 31, 2030, under the theme, “Transforming Our World, Navigating toward a Better Future.”

We all know how Sushmita immortalised Dilbar song on screen more than a decade ago. In 2018, the John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate makers revamped the track where Nora Fatehi tried to fill into Sushmita Sen’s shoes. While Nora’s version got rave reviews from viewers, Sushmita also gave her a pat on the back and honestly confessed in a Bollywood Hungama interview, that “she was brilliant with it.”

Back in 2020, the actress had said, “I am so happy that she didn’t try to match anything. She was Nora Fatehi and she was brilliant with it. You see in a lot of remixes, and there's a lot of coming back of older songs that are done not so nicely. I am very proud of the way they did it. I thought that she brought her element of her roots and her form of dancing, belly dancing, her kind of presence to it.”

She continued, “Look, Dilbar is an outstanding song. And we would want it for the newer generations to listen to and celebrate and dance to and sing along. So, if that means every generation brings in another version of it and does it as well as they did it, with Nora Fatehi, I’m all game. I think it’s fantastic. We’re not possessive about this.”

After tremendous success of Disney+ Hotsar web series Aarya, Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen is now gearing up for another web series with an unconventional role. Recently, it was announced that the evergreen actress has signed another web series Taali – for OTT platform Voot Select – where she is set to play transgender activist Gauri Sawant. Speaking of Taali, the biopic is created by Arjun Singgh Baran & Kartk D Nishandar, directed by National award-winning director Ravi Jadhav, and produced by Arjun Singgh Baran, Kartk D Nishandar & Afeefa Nadiadwala. The six-episode drama will showcase several aspects of Sawant’s life, the challenges, the journey and her relationship with her daughter Gayatri.

The year 2023 will see several star kids make their way into the film industry. One of them is producer Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor who will foray into the films with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies. The musical will introduce six new faces. The Kapoors are excited about Khushi's new journey.

Speaking to News18, Boney Kapoor recently said, "When the teaser came out which Zoya refers to as a ‘sizzler’, all three of us (Jahnvi Kapoor, Khushi and him) again sat down and we enjoyed watching it. There was nothing to criticise as it was amazing and we discussed the good points as those were the only things I could see. The same happens when I see Janhvi’s films."

Back in May 2022, Netflix and Tiger Baby announced the cast of their upcoming project, The Archies. Set in the 1960s, this musical drama is being directed by Zoya Akhtar and headlined by a fresh ensemble. The film will feature Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Yuvraj Menda, Agastya Nanda and Vedang Raina in key roles. The 7 young actors will play the beloved characters from the hugely popular Archie Comics.

The music will be by Ankur Tiwari and the Islanders. The film will have the iconic gang of The Archies at the center of it and will match the youthful energy, hope and excitement of the sixties era. The film will give a musical experience bursting with youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves and everything young adult, it still promises to have something for every generation.

The Archies is reportedly set for 2023 release on Netflix.

Filmmaker Karan Johar only recently concluded the latest season of his chat show Koffee With Karan on the OTT streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar.

Interestingly, while signing off, the director-producer revealed that he will return next year with yet another season. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the famous talk-show host shared the name of one actress, he thinks, would be a great host for a talk show.

In the fun rapid-fire round, when asked who out of Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Jahnvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan would be a good talk-show host, he said, “Sara Ali Khan. She would be a great talk-show host.” In the candid segment, he also mentioned the three top priorities currently, in Karan Johar’s life. “My children, my mom, my company,” he answered.

On the professional front, Karan Johar’s next directorial is Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi and is slated for 2023 release. The filmmaker is also planning to direct an action entertainer with hopes to kick off the shoot in April 2023.

Hema Malini turns 74 today, on October 16, and the world joins in the celebration. Shatrughan Sinha remembers his Dream Girl very fondly. “I think the first time I worked with her was in Babu Ki Galiyan and Bhai Ho ToAisa where I played the villain. But God and Ramesh Sippy had other plans," laughs Sharuji’

CODE NAME : TIRANGA
The upcoming spy thriller Code Name: Tiranga starring Parineeti Chopra is jam-packed with action. Parineeti plays Kismat in the movie, which also stars Harrdy Sandhu. Kismat is a highly trained RAW agent and is determined and focused on completing her mission, but when she meets Dr. Mirza Ali, played by Harrdy Sandhu, her priorities change. He proposes to her, and eventually her mission puts his safety in danger. KANTARA

Universal Pictures’ upcoming movie Halloween Ends will be released in Indian theatres on October 14 2022. Led by Hollywood star Jamie Lee Curtis, the film will be distributed in the country by Warner Bros Discovery. Directed by David Gordon Green, Halloween Ends is the 13th instalment of the Halloween franchise and serves as a direct sequel to 2021’s Halloween Kills.

AYE ZINDAGI
Debutante director Anirban’s Aye Zindagi sheds light on the subject of organ donation. Based on a true story, the film walks a delicate line between mostly facts and very little fiction. The film revolves around Vinay Chawla (Satyajeet Dubey), a software engineer who is suffering from liver cirrhosis. He has six months to live unless he undergoes a liver transplant. As he tides over various challenges, he bonds with the hospital’s grief counsellor, Revathy Rajan (Revathy), as they wait for a liver donation for his surgery. A huge incident drives them apart, will they reconcile? Film is set to release on October 14.

Today, moviegoers and trade industry woke up to a surprising development about the much-awaited film, Tiger 3. Salman Khan announced that his spy thriller will come a little later, in cinemas, on Diwali 2023. It was earlier scheduled to be out on Eid, that is, April 21, 2023. The fans, obviously, were disheartened as Eid and Salman Khan have become synonymous with each other since 2009. However, we have found out that fans don’t need to worry. They’ll still get to see a Salman Khan film in theatres during the Eid festival next year.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Before Tiger 3, Salman is all set to be seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. It’s scheduled to release on December 30, 2022. This film, too, has been pushed ahead. And it is Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which will be out on April 21, that is, Eid 2023. It’s a complete family entertainer and ideal to be out on such a big festival.”

Directed by Farhad Samji, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also stars Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill and Raghav Juyal. Venkatesh and Jagapathi Babu also have key roles in the film

In 2009, Salman Khan’s Wanted was released on Eid. It became a huge hit and thus began this trend. Dabangg, released on Eid 2020, was a blockbuster and so were Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger which were released on Eid in 2011 and 2012 respectively. He didn’t have a release in 2013 but from 2014 to 2019, he had a release every year on the festival – Kick (2014), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Sultan (2016), Tubelight (2017), Race 3 (2018) and Bharat (2019). He was all set to bring Radhe into theatres on Eid 2020 but he couldn’t due to the Covid-19-induced lockdown. Radhe finally released on Eid 2021, on the pay-per-view platform ZeePlex and also in some theatres.

Due to the delays in shoots over the pandemic, he couldn’t have any film release on Eid 2022. When Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be out on April 21, 2023, it will be his first big-scale theatrical release since Dabangg 3, which hit cinemas on December 20, 2019.

Bollywood Hungama, a few days back, had reported that a poster or teaser of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be out around Diwali. The source said, “In all probability, the new release date of the film will also be announced today, that is, Saturday, October 15.”

Scam fame actress Shreya Dhanwanthary impressed the audience with her latest venture, titled Chup: The Revenge Of The Artist. The suspense-thriller managed to garner a positive response from the audience as well as critics. After the release of the film, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actress spoke about the R Balki directorial and how it is going to bring more changes in her life.

When asked what Chup do for you as an actor, Shreya quickly replied, “I think everything that will happen in my life from now will be because of R Balki and Chup.” Later, she was asked how she feels before the release of her projects. In response, she said, “I'm mad excited till the release.”

She elaborated and added, “And on the day of the release, I danced from 9 am because my friends got dhol. So we were dancing in the street with joy, on the day of release. So from 9 am till 6 am, the next morning, I was dancing. Then I started getting a little tense because I'm like, Oh God, people are seeking when my work is actually out there. People are going to be reviewing and talking about it.

She concluded by saying, “Luckily, they liked it. That's another thing, but I'm usually very excited during release, tension baad mai aata hai.

Talking about Chup, the R Balki directorial also featured Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol as the lead. The film was released on September 23, 2022. Meanwhile,  Pooja Bhatt and Saranya Ponvannan played supporting roles.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has made an announcement about the postponement of the film, Tiger 3. The actor on Saturday took to social media to inform his fans that the third instalment in the Tiger franchise will now move from April 2023 to Diwali 2023. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.

Taking to Twitter, Salman Khan shared first poster of the film and wrote, "Tiger has a new date... Diwali 2023 it is! Celebrate #Tiger3 with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu."

Every '90s kid knows the sheer joy of returning from school to watch their favourite cartoon on Cartoon Network. Tom and Jerry, Scooby Dooby Do, Loony Tooles, Power Puff Girls, and Dexter's Laboratory are just a few cartoon shows that became part of our childhood. However, as the old saying goes, “every good thing comes to an end”, and so is Cartoon Network. 

On Friday, netizens flooded various social media platforms with “RIP Cartoon Network”, along with a tribute note. For the unversed, the “RIP Cartoon Network” started trending after the announcement of its merger with Warner Bros. Animation. Yes! You read it right! Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation are all set to merge. 

According to a report by ABC News, Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) announced that they were cutting 26% of personnel, for a total of 125 positions, across scripted, unscripted and animation. Since the announcement, netizens have flocked to Twitter to pay tribute to the original Cartoon Network. #RIPCartoonNetwork trended on the micro-blogging site.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Television CEO Channing Dungey claimed that the planned merger might have more effects than initially thought.

While millennials all across the world dived into a wave of nostalgia, Cartoon Network took to its verified social media handle and issued a statement on the matter. On the Twitter handle, the channel wrote, “Y’all we're not dead, we're just turning 30. To our fans: We're not going anywhere. We have been and will always be your home for beloved, innovative cartoons. More to come soon!”

Over the course of 30 years, Cartoon Network has historically produced a bunch of unique IPs. It will be interesting to see if two distinct production branches could continue to produce at the same levels after sharing resources.

Popular Harry Potter actor Robbie Coltrane, widely known as Hagrid in the movies, passed away on Friday at the age of 72. Coltrane's agent and friend Belinda Wright confirmed the passing of the actor and called him “a unique talent.”

“He will probably be best remembered for decades to come as Hagrid in the Harry Potter films, a role which brought joy to children and adults alike all over the world, prompting a stream of fan letters every week for over 20 years,” Wright told PEOPLE publication.

“For me personally I shall remember him as an abidingly loyal client ... as well as being a wonderful actor, he was forensically intelligent ... brilliantly witty,” she added. “And after 40 years of being proud to be called his agent, I shall miss him.”

Deadline reported that the actor had been ill for the past two years and died at a nearby hospital in Larbert, Scotland, close to his home. Following his death, fans, friends and colleagues took to social media to mourn the loss of the actor and paid tribute. Daniel Radcliffe, who headlined the Harry Potter franchise, told Deadline, “Robbie was one of the funniest people I’ve met and used to keep us laughing constantly as kids on the set. I’ve especially fond memories of him keeping our spirits up on Prisoner of Azkaban, when we were all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling stories and cracking jokes to keep morale up. I feel incredibly lucky that I got to meet and work with him and very sad that he’s passed. He was an incredible actor and a lovely man.”

“Robbie was like the most fun uncle I’ve ever had, but most of all, he was deeply caring and compassionate towards me as a child and an adult,” Emma Watson wrote in an Instagram Story, who played Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter franchise. “His talent was so immense that it made sense he played a giant — he could fill ANY space with his brilliance. Robbie, if I ever get to be so kind as you were to me on a film set I promise I’ll do it in your name and memory. Know how much I adore and admire you. I’ll really miss your sweetness, your nicknames, your warmth, your laughs, and your hugs. You made us a family. Know you were that to us. There was no better Hagrid. You made it a joy to be Hermione.”

Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in the franchise, took to her Instagram and wrote, “Heartbroken by the passing of Robbie Coltrane. Hagrid was my favorite character! Robbie portrayed Hagrid’s warmth, sense of home & unconditional love for his students and magical creatures so brilliantly. Thank you for the laughter. Miss you Robbie. Sending love to your family.”

Sharing an old photo from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Tom Felton who essayed the role of Draco Malfoy, recalled, “One of my fondest memories of filming Harry Potter was a night shoot on the first film in the forbidden forest. I was 12. Robbie cared & looked after everyone around of him. Effortlessly. And made them laugh. Effortlessly.”

Daniel Radcliffe and Robbie Coltrane maintained a close relationship as they appeared together in all eight instalments of the Harry Potter film franchise from 2001 to 2011.

I hope it’s OK to spout memories: I used to ride with Robbie Coltrane between Manchester and London in his sort-of-restored MGA. I’d roll him cigarettes while he discoursed on the ways of the world, and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed or learned so much in my life.

Zee TV’s popular fiction show, Kumkum Bhagya, has been an audience’s favourite courtesy of its intriguing plot. The show currently revolves around the love triangle between Ranbir (Krishna Kaul), Prachi (Mugdha Chaphekar), and Rhea (Tina Philip) with Shahana (Aparna Mishra) and Aaliya (Reyhna Pandit) playing pivotal roles. It’s not usually easy for an actor to take out time from their hectic schedule, especially when they are working round the clock. But our Ranbir aka Krishna has found a unique way to stay fit amidst the hectic schedule. Recently when he decided to cycle to the set of the show, Kumkum Bhagya for the first time, he loved it so much that it has now become a routine.  

Being fit is one of the top criteria of every actor and in order to keep themselves fit, some create their own gym on the sets of the show, some follow strict diet plans, and some choose to do yoga or meditation. And for Krishna Kaul it is cycling. Speaking about his new found passion for the sport, he said, “Since my childhood, I have loved cycling and according to me, it is one of the best ways to stay fit. Whenever I get some time from my busy schedule, I just take my cycle and go for a long ride. While it helps me to stay physically fit, it also gives me mental peace.”

He went on to add, “Because of my hectic schedule, it gets difficult for me to do this every day, hence, recently I cycled to the sets of Kumkum Bhagya. The ride was from Andheri to Powai which is approximately 7 km. Although this was the first time, I have decided to do this often now. To top it up, it’s an eco-friendly activity that I feel every person must try to imbibe in their regular commute.”

Coming to the show, it has kept the audience hooked with its intriguing twists and turns. The show recently got its viewers to witness that Prachi is finally aware of Siddharth’s truth about her sister being kidnapped by Rhea and Aaliya and is trying to bring it to Ranbir’s notice. It will be interesting to watch how Prachi will reveal Rhea’s truth in front of the family and save Siddharth’s sister.

Kumkum Bhagya airs from Mondays to Fridays at 9 pm on Zee TV.

Speaking about the plotline, the show tells the story of Sehrazat, a young widow who is financially unable to treat her terminally ill young son. She is forced to address her issues to her charming boss in a bid to ask for his help. But her boss surprises her with a proposal that changes her life forever.

The original show featured Halit Ergenc, Berguzar Korel, Tardu Flordun, and Ceyda Duvenci in lead roles. However, the casting for the Hindi remake is yet to be revealed.
