Jacqueline Fernandez and her link to Sukesh Chandrashekhar only gets entangled further as the two continue to make news. The latest update on that front was the actress was questioned by the Economics Offence Wing (EOW) in Delhi for the second time regarding the case. And now, her stylist Leepakshi Ellawadi was summoned for questioning. Recent reports suggest that Leepakshi was questioned for about eight hours regarding the relationship between Jacqueline and Sukesh. And during the same, she revealed that she was given Rs. 3 crores by the conman in an attempt to woo the actress.

As per PTI reports, in a statement given to the EOW officials, Leepakshi Ellawadi confirmed Jacqueline and Sukesh’s relationship and also revealed that Sukesh Chandrashekhar contacted her in an attempt to understand the likes and dislikes of Jacqueline Fernandez in terms of fashion. Her statement also mentioned that the conman was trying to woo the Kick actress and even offered her Rs. 3 crores to buy clothes and accessories as per Jacqueline’s brand preferences, to gift Fernandez. In the same, she also asserted that Jacqueline cut all ties with the conman when he was arrested for his crimes

Confirming the same, an official from EOW said, “He contacted Ellawadi last year to know about the brands and types of clothing Fernandez preferred. He took suggestions from her and also handed over Rs 3 crore to her to buy her favourite clothes. The entire amount received by Chandrashekhar was spent by Ellawadi to purchase gifts for Fernandez.”

Speaking of the case, Jacqueline Fernandez was accused of being in a relationship with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is involved in the Rs. 200 crore extortion case, despite knowing of his nefarious activities. But the actress, in her statements, has asserted that she wasn’t aware of his crimes when she was in touch with him. The actress has been accused of receiving gifts worth Rs. 7 crores and furthermore, the Enforcement Directorate also claimed that the Fernandez family too has financial help from Sukesh.

Two superstars from two different industries came together to celebrate the birthday of filmmaker Atlee Kumar. Readers would be aware that Shah Rukh Khan will be working with Atlee for their ambitious film Jawan and we have already received a glimpse of the actor’s character of the film. Speaking of Jawan, the multi-lingual will feature Shah Rukh Khan in a never-seen-before avatar. The action entertainer will have Nayanthara as the leading lady whereas Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of the antagonist. The film is expected to release on June 2, 2023.

Producer and interior designer Gauri Khan returned to Koffee With Karan in its seventh season, this time, with her friends and stars of the Netflix show Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey. Gauri Khan returned to Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan 7 along with her good friends Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey. During the episode, there were a lot of conversations about their lives, the careers of their husbands, seeing ups and downs and their family lives. In the episode, their respective daughters, Suhana Khana, Shanaya Kapoor and Ananya Panday, sent messages to their mothers and even revealed some fun anecdotes. While the latter two send video bytes, Suhana sent an audio one as she couldn’t reveal her face due to a contract, probably owing to her debut in The Archies.

Suhana Khan revealed a bunch of things including a bad habit of Gauri Khan. She said, “My mum has this really bad habit of revealing secrets by accident. Unless you tell her about 500 times that this is the most confidential piece of information, she will accidentally spill it. So we all have to tell her a million times."

“This one time, I was on a phone with her and I was telling her ‘Promise me you’re not going to say anything to anyone.’ And AbRam was behind her and he was just like, ‘No, she’s going to tell. She tells all my secrets to all her friends.’ I am like he’s 9 and he’s picked up on it. That’s a really annoying thing that she does and I feel like I have got this habit from her but I am not as bad as her," she recalled which left everyone in splits.

Suhana also revealed how her mother isn’t a strict mom but definitely a ‘momager’. “She wants to see everything before everybody else can see it. So sometimes I am like, ‘Let me just post one picture without showing you first’. But then I always send it to her because I know she’s always right," she said.

Suhana also said how her mother doesn’t like interacting with strangers and recalled instances where Gauri Khan would pretend she didn’t know English. “She’ll be walking on the streets of London or New York and someone will ask her for directions and she will pretend like she can’t speak English because she doesn’t want to talk to people. So she’ll walk off," Suhana said, leaving Gauri, and Karan in splits.

South Korean actors Kim Tae Ri, Oh Jung Se and Hong Kyung have been roped to star in writer Kim Eun Hee's upcoming mystery thriller The Demon, which is a working title. The news was confirmed on Wednesday, September 21.

As per the Korean media portal Soompi, The Demon is "an occult mystery thriller in which a woman possessed by an evil spirit and a man who can see those evil spirits inside human bodies dig into the mysterious deaths surrounding five divine objects."

For the show, Kim Tae Ri will essay the role of Goo San Young, prepping for the 9th-grade civil service exams. She studies at night for an important exam while doing a part-time job. Her life starts to turn upside down after mysterious deaths take place around her following the passing of her father. With this, her life changes.

Oh Jung Se takes on the role of professor Yeom Hae Sang who hails from a wealthy family. He also is gifted in terms of seeing spirits and getting to know Goo San Young. Through this, he also encounters the demon who killed his mother in front of him when he was a child.

Lastly, Hong Kyung will be playing the role of police officer Lee Hong Sae, who works in the violent crimes unit and graduated from the police academy with great scores. He gets embroiled in unrealistic events after meeting Goo San Young and Yeom Hae Sang.

As per Soompi, the production team said, “Goo San Young is a complicated character who is a mix of both good and evil. We couldn’t help but think of Kim Tae Ri for the role as she has the kindest eyes but also exudes intense charisma from time to time. Above all, we expect that Kim Tae Ri’s profound and bold acting skills will spice up this project."

The plan is to take the project on floors soon with the aim to air in 2023.

In fact, in the same breath, the actress revealed the time when she realized that acting was her true calling. “I was never interested in studies during my college days so I opted out of college and started taking Spanish classes. At that time my mother asked me if I was interested in acting and the entertainment industry and that’s how I started building interest in acting and started my acting career,” explained the actress.

Popular Indian comedian Raju Srivastava breathed his last on September 21. The comedian passed away on Wednesday at age 58. He was admitted to AIIMS over a month ago after he collapsed while working out at the gym.

Srivastava’s cousin Ashok Srivastava had spoken to PTI recently and confirmed that the comedian had suffered a heart attack while working out. “He was doing his routine exercise and while he was on the treadmill, he suddenly fell down. He suffered a heart attack and was immediately taken to the AIIMS hospital,” Ashok had told PTI.

As per recent reports from ANI, the comedian’s personal secretary Garvin Narang informed that Raju Srivastava was recovering and was showing signs of improvement. “Raju Srivastava gained consciousness today after 15 days. He's being monitored by doctors at AIIMS Delhi. His health condition is improving,” he said in the statement

Several reports had earlier revealed that the comedian was put on a ventilator after suffering brain damage. On August 10, Raju Srivastava collapsed during his gym session. The actor complained of chest pain and was immediately admitted to AIIMS hospital in Delhi by his trainer. Reports also said that the comedian was given CPR twice to revive his heartbeat. While initially, his condition was seen to be improving, soon after, reports of his health deteriorating started doing the rounds.

Raju Srivastava rose to fame with The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. While his stand-up comedy was widely appreciated, he had done smaller roles in several films including Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Bombay to Goa, and Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya. He had also participated in Bigg Boss 3. He was the Chairman of the Film Development Council in Uttar Pradesh.

Following years of anticipation and many delays, Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt released in the theatres on September 9 and opened to big numbers giving much relief to the cinemas. The film helmed by Ayan Mukerji received mixed reviews from critics and audiences but its reign at the box office seems unstoppable. But, both Ranbir and Alia admit that the support from the industry was immense for the film even though there was negativity towards Hindi projects.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Alia Bhatt said, “I don't think I have ever gotten so many 'all the best' messages before a film. Everyone was wishing and praying for the film to do well. That spirit of the industry even before the release was very special to witness.”

Adding further, Ranbir Kapoor said, “On the first Friday, we also saw so many actors going to the theatres to see the film. That was also such a heartwarming site to see, to see that kind of support. Because actors usually ask for a trial or see it in the comfort of their home. We felt there was a lot of support...because there was so much negativity towards movies and things going-on on social media, so everybody was just waiting for good energy to be back at the movies.”

Since Brahmastra is a trilogy, the second part Brahmastra Part 2 – Dev, which will retrace the life of Dev, will hit the theatres in 2025. The plan is to film the second and third parts in continuation.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor will now begin the next schedule of Animal, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, in October. It stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna. He also has Luv Ranjan’s next with Shraddha Kapoor. It is set for Holi 2023 release. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt has already wrapped Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Directed by Karan Johar, it stars Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. It is slated for a 2023 release.

The actress and her singer-husband Nick Jonas welcomed their first child through surrogacy earlier this year. "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family," Chopra announced via social media in January 2022. Their daughter was pre-mature and baby girl spent 100 days in NICU before she was brought home by her parents.

Popular American legal drama The Good Wife starring Julianna Margulies is getting an Indian adaptation with Kajol headlining the project. The upcoming series is set for the Disney+ Hotstar streaming platform and it will mark Kajol’s web series debut. Now, Bollywood Hungama has an exclusive update on who plays the role of Kalinda Sharma.

Indian actress Kubbra Sait will take on the role of Archie Panjabi’s character Kalinda Sharma in the series. “Kubbra Sait gained widespread recognition with the first season of the Netflix original series Sacred Games. She also portrayed the role of Phara Keaen in her international project Foundation for Apple TV+. While Kubbra has been a known name for years in both films and digital space, she is now set to reprise the role of Kalinda Sharma in The Good Wife. While it is unknown whether the name of the character will remain the same or whether makers plan to change it, it will be interesting to see how Kubbra takes on the role played by Archie, which was widely appreciated.”

In the series, Kalinda Sharma was private, unflappable and cynical. She is the in-house investigator in the law firm Stern, Lockhart & Gardner and is often the reason behind the firm winning important cases. The character is openly bisexual in the series and has a series of relationships across several seasons.

The Good Wife is a series revolving around Alicia Florrick who has to take on a major role to care for her two children after her husband Peter, a former state's attorney, gets imprisoned for a sex and corruption scandal.

The series has many adaptations in several countries due to its immense popularity. Recently, China announced the local adaptation of the American series with the name Rose War with actors Yuan Quan and Huang Xiaoming as the leads. Previously, The Good Wife also had a South Korean remake with the same name. The series starred Jeon Do Yeon, Yoo Ji Tae and Yoon Kye Sang. There was a Japanese remake of the same series with same title starring Takako Tokiwa, Kotaro Koizumi, Kiko Mizuhara, Takumi Kitamura, and Kika Kobayashi. Russia has had the localized version of the series with the same name. The Irish adaptation of the series was called Striking Out which spanned over two seasons.

Coming back to the upcoming Hindi version, Kajol's version will be the sixth localized adaptation of The Good Wife which will reportedly premiere early next year on Disney+ Hotstar. The series has already gone on floors. The first teaser was unveiled on September 8.

Duchess Of Sussex Meghan Markle joined the royal family to honour the life of Queen Elizabeth II at her state funeral. The Queen, who died at the age of 96, was the longest reigning monarch in British history. In honor of the monarch, the Duchess of Sussex chose to wear a round-neck dress with a subtle black cape, pairing it with understated diamond-and-pearl earrings gifted to her by the queen during her engagement.

Back in 2018, Meghan wore the same dress in navy to a televised concert at London's Royal Albert Hall in honor of the Queen's 92nd birthday. Meghan completed her funeral attire in black pumps, black gloves and Cartier's Love bracelet in yellow gold. She previously wore the same earrings during ceremonial funeral events last week honoring the late British Monarch. On Wednesday, she reportedly wore the earrings as the Queen's coffin ceremoniously processed from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall.

As per a report by People magazine, the Queen had graciously gifted jewellery to her female relatives through the years, presenting Meghan with the elegant earrings in honour of their first solo outing together in 2018. The late sovereign was famously a fan of pearl accessories, and the earrings she gave Meghan appeared to be a smaller version of one of her own go-to pairs.

Meghan previously spoke about her relationship with the Queen and how the late monarch treated her during their first engagement together, when the earrings were gifted to her, in her March 2021 Oprah interview. “The queen, for example, has always been wonderful to me,” Meghan said then. “I mean, we had one of our first joint engagements together. She asked me to join her, and I went on the train.

“And we had breakfast together that morning and she gave me a beautiful gift and I just really loved being in her company, and I know we were in the car—Yeah, she gave me some beautiful pearl earrings and a matching necklace—and we were in the car going between engagements. And she has a blanket that sits across her, her knees, for warmth and it was chilly and she was like, Meghan, come on, and put it over my knees as well.”

At the beginning of September, the multiplexes had decided to sell tickets for just Rs. 75 on September 16, as part of National Cinema Day. Bollywood Hungama reported last week that the celebrations were pushed by a week at the insistence of Disney, the makers of Brahmastra. The National Cinema Day will now be held on Friday, September 23. And it seems like it’s going to be a roaring success.

Several theatres in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata etc opened bookings for September 23 at midnight on Tuesday, September 20. And surprisingly, shows have been fast-filling already. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The multiplexes have opened bookings for limited screens. But the response has been fabulous. The theatres will soon open bookings for all screens across the country.”

The source added, “As expected, Brahmastra is the first choice for the audience. Its shows have the maximum ticket sales. We anticipate that each and every show of the film in big cities will be sold out on Friday. In fact, the tickets for most screenings will go House Full in advance.”

Bollywood Hungama checked the bookings of PVR Oberoi Mall, Goregaon East. This popular multiplex of Mumbai has commenced ticket sales of 9 shows of Brahmastra’s 3D version at present and all these shows have excellent bookings. The 10:30 pm show is expected to get full in no time. Surprisingly, even holdover films like Sita Ramam’s Hindi version, the acclaimed Hollywood film Everything Everywhere All at Once, the Marathi comedy Boyz 3 and the Gujarati hit Fakt Mahilao Maate are also fast-filling. The bookings of Sunny Deol-Dulquer Salmaan starrer Chup, which will be released on Friday, are not upto the mark but have taken a fine start, nonetheless.

The source added, “There are moviegoers who have decided to watch more than one film on Friday. Some might just go to the theatre and catch any movie available, to take advantage of this offer. Therefore, one can expect each and every show to go full. The new releases like Chup, Dhokha Round D Corner and Prem Geet 3 will also be at an advantage. Even the re-release of Avatar is expected to open well and multiplexes are planning to give it sufficient shows.”

The source signed off by saying, “What’s interesting is that even recliner seats will be available for reduced rates, like Rs. 150 and Rs. 200. Moreover, IMAX screens tickets will also be sold at reasonable prices and these will also be lapped up. In short, expect house full boards everywhere on September 23.”

The Rs. 75 offer, however, will not be applicable in luxury formats like Insignia, Gold Class, etc.

South Korean actor Kang Tae Oh, who recently starred in the hit drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo and instantly became popular on the internet for his role as Lee Jun Ho, officially enlisted in the military on September 20. It is known that all abled South Korean men have to do 18 months of mandatory military service and enlist by age 28-30.

Kang Tae Oh on Tuesday afternoon was seen greeting the media and the fans. He had donned a white printed jumper. He seemed grateful as many fans showed up to support him on an emotional day. A day prior, the actor took to his Instagram account to show his shaved head. He wrote, “Thank you for your support and overflowing love. I will come back lively. See you soon.” The actor will complete his military service in 2024.

Before enlisting, Extraordinary Attorney Woo marks his last drama and will return as Lee Jun Ho in season 2 in 2024. Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is currently stationed in Kashmir shooting for his next, Ground Zero. He is accompanied by Sai Tamhankar who will reportedly play his wife in the upcoming film. However, recent reports cited that the actor had suffered injuries due to stone pelting incident that allegedly took place at a nearby market. It was also claimed that an FIR was registered following the incident. Now, Emraan Hashmi has taken to social media to clarify and said that the people of Kashmir have been warm and welcoming.

Emraan Hashmi on Tuesday morning took to his official Twitter account to inform that the reports about his injuries are inaccurate. He also stated that shooting in Kashmir has been amazing, especially in Srinagar and Pahalgam. “The people of Kashmir have been very warm and welcoming, it has been an absolute joy shooting in Srinagar and Pahalgam. The news of me being injured in a stone pelting incident is inaccurate,” he wrote on Twitter.

In Ground Zero, Emraan Hashmi is reportedly essaying the role of an Army officer. The military drama also stars Zoya Hussain. The cast and crew recently wrapped their schedule in Srinagar and are currently stationed at Pahalgam. The film is being helmed by Tejas Deoskar, who is best known for Madhuri Dixit’s Marathi debut film Bucket List.

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi has an array of projects lined up, including Tiger 3 with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, the film will see Hashmi in the role of an antagonist. It is set for April 2023 theatrical release. Apart from this project, the actor is also starring in Selfiee along with Akshay Kumar. It is the Hindi remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Driving License and is slated for February 2023 release.

Prime Video on Monday announced that Purple Hearts breakout star Nicholas Galitzine will be seen next in The Idea of You in the role of Hayes Campbell, alongside Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway. The production of the Amazon Original movie will begin in October 2022.

The film, based on Robinne Lee’s bestselling eponymous contemporary novel based on Harry Styles, centers on Sophie (Hathaway), a 40-year-old divorced mother. Sophie’s husband Dan left her for a younger woman, and now he has cancelled his Coachella trip with their 15-year-old daughter. Sophie picks up the pieces and braves the crowds and desert heat. There, she meets 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), the lead singer of the best boy band on the planet, August Moon.

Michael Showalter will direct The Idea Of You. Academy Award-winning producer Cathy Schulman will produce the film via her Welle Entertainment label, joined by Gabrielle Union and Anne Hathaway via her Somewhere Pictures label. Robinne Lee, Eric Hayes, Michael Showalter, and Jordana Mollick. Jennifer Westfeldt wrote the screenplay and will executive produce. I’ll Have Another’s Kian Gass will also executive produce the project.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Galitzine will next be seen in Prime Video’s romantic comedy Red, White & Royal Blue, based on Casey McQuiston’s New York Times and USA Today best-selling novel of the same name and Bottoms from MGM’s Orion Pictures. He also recently starred as the male lead in Netflix’s Purple Hearts, alongside Sofia Carson, and as Prince Robert in Prime Video’s Cinderella, opposite Camila Cabello.

Hollywood actress Kate Winslet, who is filming for historical drama film Lee, was taken to the hospital after she suffered an accident while shooting in Croatia.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress was shooting her titular role in the historical drama film Lee when an on-set accident led to her being taken to a nearby hospital to ensure that she was OK. Winslet will resume filming this week as scheduled. “Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production,” her team said in a statement. “She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week.” The Oscar-winning actor has been attached to star in Lee since 2015, a feature that would have the actor portraying the World War II correspondent Lee Miller.

Kate Winslet will portray photographer Lee Miller in the film that focuses on her life, including her work as a war correspondent for Vogue during World War II. The drama is directed by Ellen Kuras and also stars Mario Cotillard, Jude Law, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Conner.
