Well, in the eighth episode of the season 7, the manifestation king strikes again after his episode with Siddharth Malhotra. Are you still guessing the guests for this week? In an interesting Bingo game, Kiara is seen revealing why she b*tchslapped Shahid Kapoor in her head. “It was my third or fourth day of shooting, and I was made to wait for eight hours because there was discussion of what shoes Shahid would wear in the next scene,” says Kiara.

Karan immediately validates her decision to b*tchslap Shahid and says, “ If I were made to wait for 8 hours for a discussion on shoes, I would b*tchslap too.”

Liger marks the first pan India film of Ananya Panday. The actress will be sharing screen space opposite South hottie Vijay Deverakonda. While we already got a glimpse of their off screen camaraderie and chemistry on the couch of Koffee With Karan 7, we also saw the onscreen couple wooing audience during the promotions of the film. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, we saw Ananya speaking about her co-star fondly and also talking about the thing his fans need to know about Vijay.

During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, when Ananya Panday was asked about the one thing she would want Vijay Deverakonda fans to know more about, the actress went into deep thought. After a few moments, she responded, “He is very funny. He has a very wicked and dark sense of humour,” the actress asserted. We also believe that we got a glimpse of his humour and quick witted avatar on Koffee With Karan 7.

Speaking of Liger, the film is directed by renowned South filmmaker Puri Jagannadh along with Ananya Panday as the leading lady. The film will also feature American boxing legend Mike Tyson along with Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy playing pivotal roles in this action entertainer. It will feature Vijay in the role of a boxer with Ramya as his mother. The film is slated to release on August 25 in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Amongst the era of TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor, many of the shows, especially on Star Plus remained to be iconic. In fact, owing to fans’ demand, the channel recently even revived some of its most popular shows and amongst them was Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii which featured Sakshi Tanwar as the sanskaari daughter-in-law with Kiran Karmarkar as her husband along with Shweta Kawatra as the vamp daughter-in-law and Ali Asgar as her better half. Speaking about the return of the show, Nivedita Basu, who has been one of the creative directors for most of these Balaji Telefilms shows, shared her opinion stating that the show is a modern take of Ramayan.

Speaking about the Star Plus show and its popularity, Nivedita Basu said, “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is a modern take on Ramayan. It holds relevance even today. Every Indian household has watched it and the soaring TRPs when it aired on the tube were proof of it. Everyone drew parallels between the characters they resonated with on the show. It is the Baghban (the 2003 Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini starrer) of Indian television. It teaches you the importance of family values, retaining goodness around evil, and how evil turns good eventually. Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is a forever thing.”

Several popular shows have returned with a new season. When asked if KGGK should be remade, she responded, “The USP of the show is its cast -- Sakshi Tanwar, Kiran Karmarkar, Rinku Dhawan, and Shweta Kawaatra. I don’t know how sound the idea of recreating it is as the audience would still look for the original cast they connected with so strongly. For now, a re-run would do the job, as the audiences love it.”

“The good part of being in Balaji Telefilms for 15 years is that I was associated with each and every show, including Kyunki, Kahaani, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Koshish, Ghar Ek Mandir, Kkusum, Kkavyanjali, and Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki. I have been part of the creative team that worked on feature films, storytelling, and the background score of every show. I feel proud that Ekta made me such a big part of her production house and I can proudly say that I have seen the rise of Balaji and how Ekta has worked hard to turn it into such an empire,” concluded Nivedita.

Vaani Kapoor is having a working birthday this year and coincidentally, she starts shooting her next film on this special day! It looks like Vaani now wants to push the envelope further with her next projects. 'It feels amazing to be starting a new film on my birthday! I couldn’t have asked for a better gift for myself. '

She further adds, “I can’t reveal any further but I can say that every project of mine post Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui will be diverse and will constantly put myself under the pump to pick challenging roles that gives me the scope to shine as an actor. I’m looking to do more tricky roles which satiates my artistic appetite and this new project fits right into the scheme of things for me now. I want to headline films that have very strong content and this one is right up there when it comes to getting something refreshing and relevant."

On the work front, Vaani Kapoor was last seen in Shamshera starring alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.

Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda are promoting their upcoming film Liger. It is directed by Puri Jagannadh. It is one of the most-anticipated films of the year and also features Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishna in pivotal roles. American boxer Mike Tyson plays an extended cameo in the movie. The lead actors of Liger are actively promoting the movie, and in the midst of this frantic schedule, Ananya Panday was spotted visiting Delhi's Gurudwara Bangla Sahib seeking blessings.

Before the release of a film, actors frequently go to places of worship to ask for heavenly blessings. It was all about praying for success for Ananya Panday as the Liger star visited a Bangla Sahib Gurudwara in Delhi. As Liger is set to release in theatres on August 25^, Ananya decided to visit the Gurudwara and hope for the best. Taking to her Instagram handle on Monday, Ananya posted two photos of herself on her Instagram account on Monday. In the first photo, she can be seen standing with her hands folded in front of the shrine while wearing a pink suit and a matching pink dupatta. The second image shows Ananya merely gazing at the camera while simultaneously providing us with a stunning perspective of a sacred site. Sharing images from the holy shrine, Ananya wrote, “Satnam Waheguru ✨Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh ????????.”

Meanwhile, Liger is an upcoming Indian sports action film written and shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages; it is scheduled to release in theatres on August 25. The film marks Vijay’s debut in Hindi cinema and Ananya’s in Telugu cinema.

Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha released on August 11. Touted to be one of the biggest releases of the year, the film has not seen growth in box office collections. Distributors and theatre chain owners are cancelling shows as they are suffering losses. While the boycott calls on social media seemed like added factor in lackluster performance at the box office. Now, a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) has now been filed against Laal Singh Chaddha in the Kolkata High Court citing peace disorder and urging a complete ban on the film in Bengal.

According to Live Law India, "BJP leader and lawyer, Nazia Ilahi Khan has moved the High Court stating that the situation in the state is extremely volatile in relation to any religious issue. In this regard and to substantiate her arguments, the petitioner has referred to some of the recent instances when the state came under a critical situation."

It further read, "The trend in Social Media has been advocated by quite a large amount of people and they would further not want others to go and watch this film in the theatres as that would make their 'hard work' go futile. Such anger and frustration on seeing that some people are going to watch the film can lead to a serious threat to the law and order situation in the State of West Bengal. Such factions who want to boycott the film may not let others watch the film in the theatres and this may lead to tussle and further may loosen the grip of the State over the law and order situation. Such a situation seriously leads to an apprehension that the law and order situation in the State may be compromised if the film is exhibited in the theatres any further."

Laal Singh Chaddha, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, stars Aamir Khan Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya.

She captioned her video as – “After 10 days of resting in, I realised… no reason is good enough to not stretch. So, even though the injury needs me to take it easy for a few weeks, inactivity can make you rusty????????‍♀️So… I decided to practice the routine of Parvatasana, followed by Utthita Parsvakonasana, and concluded with Bharadwajasana. Anyone who is unable to sit on the floor, or is suffering from knee or back pain can do these stretches on the chair. These asanas are beneficial to strengthen & improve the flexibility of the spine & the back muscle, and are also helpful for the digestive system. However, the third pose ‘Bharadwajasana (twisting pose)’ should be avoided during pregnancy. Don’t let anything get in the way of your routine. You can overcome the biggest hurdles simply by believing YOU CAN and having the WILL to change things.”

The uncanny resemblance of the SRK with his eldest son can be seen in the pictures. But, as most dads are, the superstar left an adorable comment on Aryan's post.

Shah Rukh Khan’s commented, “Why I don’t have these pictures!!!!!! Give them to me NOW,” to which Aryan responded, “I’ll send them to you the next time I post…so probably in a few years haha.”

Suhana Khan, meanwhile, will make her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. Aryan Khan, on the other hand, is reportedly working on a script for Red Chillies Entertainment. There are rumours that he is also working on his directorial debut.

Salman Khan is being advised rather seriously to revert to his old title  Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali for his  new production family drama featuring Salman and Pooja Hegde in the lead.

Lately, the project is being known as  Bhaijaan. But close friends have advised  Salman to not go by the title Bhaijaan as it conveys a very ethnic feeling.

“The film is about the one-ness of  all Indians, irrespective of caste or culture. To call the film by  a  culture-specific  title seems incongruous . The film was originally called Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, and that’s the title that Salman is likely to  adhere to,” says  a  source close to the project.

Of late, cultural-specific, community-identifying film titles are being  shunned.

The third season of the critically acclaimed, award-winning series, executive produced and starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, and produced by Media Res, is currently in production.

The Morning Show is an Emmy, SAG and Critics Choice Award-winning series starring and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, executive produced by Mimi Leder, and executive produced by Michael Ellenberg, and produced by the studio Media Res, Hello Sunshine and Echo Films. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has a reputation of doing things differently. She sat down with journalist Faye D'souza before the birth of her child for an unvarnished talk about her pregnancy journey and other topics.

Sonam Kapoor can be seen in the photo caressing her baby bump while wearing an oversized white shirt. For the photo session, the actress chose a natural makeup look and smiled for the camera. Sonam Kapoor posed as a model in another batch of images released by Vogue. She is seen in the images wearing a black gown designed by Andrea Brocca. Her black dress has a body-con fit and an exaggerated puffed sleeve. Sonam can be seen gazing directly into the camera in the monochromatic image, wearing delicate earrings, minimum makeup, and slick back hair.

Opening up about the decision to become a parent, Sonam told Vogue in an interview, “Priorities do change and I think that the child will become mine. The truth of the matter is that they didn’t choose to come into this world. You decided to bring them here, so it’s a very selfish decision.”

On August 20, Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja welcomed a son. As soon as the couple revealed the news, warm wishes from the industry flooded in for them. A message from Sonam's father, actor Anil Kapoor, expressed the happiness and excitement of the entire family.

Sonam Kapoor's last significant acting role was in the 2019 film The Zoya Factor, where she co-starred in with Dulquer Salmaan. After that, she appeared in a cameo in the movie AkvsAk, which also starred Anil Kapoor, her father, and director Anurag Kashyap. Additionally, she has finished filming her next, unreleased movie, Blind.

Noted Bollywood producer Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala aka A G Nadiadwala passed away early morning on August 22. He was 91 years old and died due to cardiac arrest while he was being treated at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. His son, producer Firoz Nadiadwala, informed the media that A G Nadiadwala breathed his last at 1:40 am.

A G Nadiadwala began his career as a film producer way back in 1953. In a career spanning nearly 69 years, he produced more than 50 Hindi films. He has the distinction of producing Mahabharat (1965), starring Pradeep Kumar and Dara Singh. Till date, it is the only film made on the epic Mahabharat in India. He was also the producer of popular films like Welcome (2007), Hera Pheri (2000), Awara Paagal Deewana (2002) etc.

A G Nadiadwala’s father A K Nadiadwala was also a producer while Firoz’s cousin Sajid Nadiadwala, a producer, runs a separate production house.

In an interview with an entertainment daily in 2015 given as part of their 60-year-celebrations in the industry, A G Nadiadwala said, “While keeping film aesthetics and requirements in mind, we make our budget according to the movie and not the other way round. We first understand the dynamics of the story and screenplay before we put down our expenses. Even if we end up spending a little more, we ensure that the money spent should be visible in terms of both, sensibility and quality.”

We at Bollywood Hungama extend our heartfelt condolences to the Nadiadwala family.

Around 300-400 members of the Film Studios Setting & Allied Mazdoor Union have been working for Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment since May 2022 at various locations in as well as outside Mumbai. These are daily wage workers and are supposed to be paid their wages. However, the said production house has allegedly not paid the wages of these workers for the past 3-4 months.

The total outstanding dues of the workers is said to be around Rs. 20-25 lakh

Workers have now accused Excel  Entertainment of extended working hours beyond permissible limits as per the provision in the labour law. Allegedly, these workers have  received no payment for all the extra hours. Also, they are allegedly not provided good quality food at work.

The workers are so fearful of losing the job that they cannot raise their voice. However, the union has now taken up the matter with the said production house and with   the government authorities, seeking their intervention in the matter  and requesting them to get these outstanding dues released from the said production at the earliest.

The Film Studios Setting & Allied Mazdoor Union has been taking up such matter of non-payments with all the respective authorities in Labour, Police and Ministry of State.

However, no action has so far been taken against the supposedly guilty production house.

We tried getting in touch with Excel for their side  of the story. There was no response.

Priyanka Chopra has embraced motherhood and often shares glimpses of her baby girl, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The actress and her singer-husband Nick Jonas welcomed their first child through surrogacy earlier this year.

The actress on Sunday took to her Instagram stories to share pictures of her daughter playing with her. Though Priyanka hasn't revealed the face of her daughter, she shares photos by hiding her face with emojis.

Sharing the pictures, Priyanka captioned the post, "Love like no other." She geo-tagged the location as Los Angeles, California which is her and Nick's home.

Filmfare Awards 2022 has released an official statements condemning Kangana Ranaut's remarks as the actress was planning to sue them for inviting her to the award show happening later this month. The actress' Best Nomination for Thalaivii has been withdrawn by Filmfare following her accusations.

In a statement shared by FilmFare on Sunday on their official site, they condemned the unwarranted accusations made by Kangana Ranaut. "It pains us at Filmfare, today, to be subjected to unwarranted malicious remarks by Ms. Kangana Ranaut. For over six decades, Filmfare Awards, and Filmfare, at large, has been a platform that celebrates and honours talent in the Film industry impartially and with utmost transparency. It is our strong ethic that has helped us in gaining the trust of our audiences and the film industry. It continued, "The exact message was as follows ‘Hello Kangana, heartiest congratulations on your nomination for the Filmfare Awards. It’ll be a pleasure to have you there, do confirm your presence at the awards ceremony on August 30 at Jio World Convention Centre at BKC, Mumbai. It’ll help us plot your seats. P.S. Please send us your residential address so that we can send you the invite. Regards.’  At no time was there any insinuation of an award being given to her or any request for performance at the event made. "

"This is a patently false accusation being made by Ms Ranaut. Our invitation to her was our effort in bringing together everyone in a collective celebration of what brings this nation together, i.e. Indian Cinema. Filmfare Awards are a celebration of cinematic excellence and are awarded irrespective of the fact that a nominee attends or performs at the function. Further, Ms. Ranaut a 5-time Filmfare Awardee, was given the award twice in absentia (2014 & 2015). Despite knowing that she would neither attend nor perform. Given the irresponsible remarks made by Ms. Ranaut about Filmfare Awards, we are withdrawing her Best Actress nomination for the movie Thalaivii. We reserve all rights to pursue any legal action against her malicious and defamatory statements tarnishing our reputation and goodwill," the statement concluded.

Kangana had shared her message through an Instagram Story. “I've banned unethical, corrupt and totally unfair practices like @filmfare since 2014, but since I have been getting many calls from them for attending their award function this year as they want to give me award for Thalaivii... I am shocked to know that they are still nominating me. It is beneath my dignity, work ethics and value system to encourage such corrupt practices in anyway, that is why I have decided to sue @filmfare ... thanks,” she wrote.

Kangana Ranaut was nominated for Thalavii in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category alongside Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, Parineeti Chopra, Taapsee Pannu and Vidya Balan.

Two Mahakal priests Mahesh and Ashish from Ujjain on Saturday demanded that the online food delivery firm Zomato should withdraw their latest advertisement featuring Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. The call to remove the ad is being made as they allege it offends Hindu sentiments and is 'offensive'.

In the new advertisement titled 'Mann kiya, Zomato kiya', Hrithik Roshan says he felt like having a thali (full course platter) in Ujjain so he placed an order from "Mahakal". “Thali ka mann kia, Ujjain mein hai, toh Mahakal se manga Lia (Felt like having a Thali. We’re in Ujjain, so ordered from Mahakal,” the actor said in the ad.

“A company which delivers non-veg food should immediately withdraw the misleading ad referring Mahakal thali,” priest Mahesh said as per Hindi news daily Dainik Bhaskar. He also demanded an apology from the food delivery firm or they have face legal action. As per the priests, it was misleading and hurts Hindu sentiments.

In response to a tweet, Zomato clarified, "Mahakal Restaurant is one of our high-order-volume restaurant partners in Ujjain, and thali is a recommended item on its menu‘ thalis’ at ‘Mahakal Restaurant’, and not the revered Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple. The video is part of a pan-India campaign for which we identified top local restaurants and their top dishes based on popularity in each city. Mahakal Restaurant (simplified as ‘Mahakal’) was one of the restaurants chosen for the campaign in Ujjain."

Their tweets further read, "We deeply respect the sentiments of the people of Ujjain, and the ad in question is no longer running. We offer our sincerest apologies, for the intent here was never to hurt anyone's beliefs and sentiments.

Abbas-Mustan’s Taarzan – The Wonder Car, which was released on August 6, 2004, might not have been a hit at the box office. However, it enjoys a huge fan following on television and is right there in the league of Sooryavansham and Nayak. The story of a car coming to life and taking revenge found an audience, especially among kids. As the film completed 18 years, Vatsal Sheth, who is back from the Maldives after celebrating his birthday, spoke exclusively to Bollywood Hungama about the memories of doing this film, working with Ayesha Takia and a lot more.

Taarzan – The Wonder Car was your debut film. Could you tell us the process of bagging the film?
I met Abbas bhai and Mustan bhai and they were looking to cast the main lead. Our meeting went very well. The next day, I got a call that I am on for the project. It just took one meeting for me to bag the film!

How was it to work with Abbas-Mustan?
They are simple, sweet, honest and straightforward. They treated me like their own son. Technically, they are amazing, and they know their script very well. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Taarzan – The Wonder Car was also Ayesha Takia’s debut vehicle. How was it to work with her?
Yes, we both were newcomers, and it was great fun to work with her. She is a fantastic actress.

Were you nervous, especially in the romantic scenes?
Well, it was my first film. So yes, I was very nervous. However, the whole team was amazing. I remember that Amrish ji made us so comfortable. He would talk to us which really helped.

Did you go to the cinema halls to check the reaction?
I did and it was amazing. But unfortunately, the box office numbers were not great. It doesn’t matter now because it’s the number one film on television. I guess it has broken all records. It gets such high TRPs while airing on televison till date even after so many years of release. This proves that something was good about the film.

Taarzan – The Wonder Car was released a day after your birthday…
(Smiles) Yes. So, it was a special birthday gift for me. I remember going to the premiere show on my birthday. It was quite memorable.

While growing up in the 90s, many of us remembered you as the ‘Just Mohabbat’ kid. However, kids born post-2000 know you thanks to Taarzan – The Wonder Car. What’s extraordinary is that many of them were not even born when the film had been released in theatres!
Yes, a lot of people recollect Taarzan – The Wonder Car. The other day, Sohail bhai (Sohail Khan) sent me a message saying that his son, who was born way after Taarzan – The Wonder Car released, is hooked on to the film. And this is what has happened – kids who were born recently are watching it and loving it. This is a great quality of the film. I guess, it was way ahead of its time.

Ayesha Takia won the award for the Best Debut (Female) at the 50th Filmfare Awards. Shockingly, no one was awarded the best for Best Debut (Male) and hence you didn’t win. Do you feel it was unfair?
I don’t remember, honestly. It would have been great had I won the award. But at the end of the day, when I see the response and love that I have got for the film, it’s okay. Awards milein ya na milein, it doesn’t matter.

Looking at the response to Taarzan – The Wonder Car, don’t you think that it’s high time that Taarzan 2 is made?
I don’t know. You should ask this question to the producer and directors. I would love to be a part of it.

You will be seen next in Adipurush, one of the most awaited films of 2023…
Yes, and right now, I am very, very thrilled and excited to be a part of it. When it comes out, everybody would be like ‘OMG’! I can’t talk much about it but it’s quite exciting for sure. Prabhas and Saif sir are there in the star cast. Om Raut, who has won National Awards, is the director. So, it’s a dream project, and also a dream role for me.

What’s the status of your Gujarati film, Hun Mari Wife Ne Ano Husband? It was shot a few years ago and there were talks that it would released in 2022…
We are looking for a Diwali release. Within a week or two, there would be clarity on the release date.

Kartik Aaryan gave Bollywood the much-needed respite with the mega success of his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 post the pandemic. The actor has come a long way in his journey, starting out from a small town in Gwalior to being one of Bollywood's top stars today.

In a recent interview with a HT Brunch magazine, the actor opened up on his his journey started and his dream to be where he is today as he shares, "We are a family of movie buffs. With my parents and my sister, I would always watch new releases at theatres or movies on television. I was so much in love with that world that I desperately wanted to be a part of it. It started with the dream to become a hero."

“By the time I was in class XI, I was already hooked to acting. I would take videos of movie scenes, write down the dialogues, and try to perform them in my own way. I would thus create my own acting workshops. This practice continued even when I started acting in movies," he added.

"My roots, my growing up in a town like Gwalior, is what makes me who I am. I will always be that person. Also, being from a small town not only makes me strive harder to reach the number one spot but also keeps me grounded. I can still go back and live that life," he continued.

"I take pride in the fact that I have done this on my own and with the help of people who put their trust in my capabilities without knowing me. They went for the craft instead of lineage," he said.

The actor also has an exciting slate of films ahead with Shehzada, Freddy, Captain India, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Satyaprem Ki Katha and Kabir Khan’s untitled next.

Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming movie Liger which is days away from the release on the big screen. It marks his first pan-India release. The film also stars Ananya Panday and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles. As the actor is gearing up for Liger, he has sort of confirmed a potential sequel. Speaking to a media portal, the actor said that Liger will likely get a sequel but refused to reveal any details on the same.

In association with Puri connects, the film is being produced jointly by Dharma Productions. Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta together are bankrolling the film on a grand scale. Vishnu Sarma is the cinematographer, while Kecha from Thailand is the stunt director.

Liger will see South actor Vijay Deverakonda play the role of an underdog boxer who makes his way to international fame. The movie will also feature a cameo of former American professional boxer Mike Tyson. Being made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages, the movie is scheduled for release in theatres worldwide on 25th August 2022.

The name change will take place in her official documents.

Alia Bhatt was quoted as saying, “We are going to have a child now. I don’t want to be the Bhatt, whilst the Kapoors are travelling together; you know what I mean? I don’t want to feel left out.”

Alia Bhatt, however, made it clear that on screen, she would still be credited as Alia Bhatt. She also confessed that she hasn’t got the time to change her marital status on her passport. Hubby Ranbir, however, has ‘happily’ made the change in his passport.

While Alia Bhatt already has had significant developments this year, there’s still more to come. As aforementioned, she’s pregnant and as per reports, will have a delivery this year. And next month, she and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the highly awaited film, Brahmastra. It will be released in cinemas on September 9 and as per trade and industry, it is set for a huge opening in cinemas.
