It is worth mentioning here that Loveyapa is scheduled to release tomorrow, which is February 7. The film will be clashing with Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar. Considering the same, Bollywood Hungama conducted a poll on X (formerly known as Twitter) and more than 60 percent of votes are in favor of Badass Ravi Kumar.

Farah Khan marked her foray into direction with the star-studded Main Hoon Na that featured an ensemble cast from Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, Kirron Kher, Boman Irani, Naseeruddin Shah, Suniel Shetty, among others. The film, which went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters, is all set to get a sequel, according to current reports. While fans of the film will definitely be excited to watch this reunion on screen, we hear that it is already on the cards.

As per a Pinkvilla report, a source was quoted telling how the film is special for Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who was also the co-producer of the film with wife Gauri Khan under the banner Red Chillies Entertainment. The source said, “Main Hoon Na is the first film produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan under their banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, and the film is very close to their heart. Farah has cracked an idea for Main Hoon Na 2, and Shah Rukh has loved the route she plans to take for the sequel. Farah is presently working to crack the screenplay with her team of writers, as also the ones working with Red Chillies”.

The source also insisted that the superstar has insisted that the sequel should have a larger impact than the first instalment and has asked the choreographer-filmmaker to leave no stone unturned. “SRK is clear to not make a sequel just for the sake of it and is well aware of the fan following that Main Hoon Na has among the cinema-going audience. He has asked Farah and his in-house team of writers to honestly work on the screenplay and come up with something that surpasses the impact of first part. He is expected to hear the first draft by mid-2025 and then take a call on the same. The script is presently in the development stage,” added the source.

Speaking of the past collaborations between Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan as the filmmaker, the duo have joined hands for films like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year. Meanwhile, on the work front, the superstar is expected to return to the silver screen with King which will also star Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, and Abhishek Bachchan. Written by Sujoy Ghosh and directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is expected to be a gangster drama.

Actor Sikandar Kher is all set to step into the shoes of playing an army man in the upcoming Sriram Raghavan directorial, Ikkis. For the first time Sikandar is set to be seen in an army based film. With Sriram Raghavan helming the film that is based on true events, it has already been garnering ample excitement among the industry insiders.

In Ikkis, Sikandar will portray the life of a dedicated army man and his character is expected to bring resilience, discipline, and heroism synonymous to the screen, with the Indian armed forces. The actor has already begun preparation for the role. Talking about the opportunity and his preparation, Sikandar said, "I have always looked forward to a Sriram Raghavan film... he has his own language of film making. Popular stand-up comedian Pranit More, who shares a decent fan following on social media, was assaulted in a shocking incident after his Kolhapur show by a gang of men who waited back to meet him pretending to be his fans. As per a note shared by More’s team on social media, the attackers revealed that they were angry about Pranit’s jokes on debutant actor Veer Pahariya. However, expressing shock over the incident, the Sky Force star condemned the act.

Taking to his Instagram page, Veer Pahariya, grandson of former Maharashtra CM and former Minister of Home Affairs Sushil Kumar Shinde, has spoken out against the unfortunate incident involving comedian Pranit More, in a heartfelt statement where he made it clear that he had no involvement in the attack and strongly condemned any form of violence. “I am truly shocked and saddened by what happened to Comedian Pranit More,” Veer shared in a public statement. “I want to make it absolutely clear—I had no involvement in this, and I strongly condemn any form of violence. As someone who has always taken trolling in stride, laughed along with it, and shown love even to my critics, I would never encourage or support harm towards anyone, let alone someone from the same creative fraternity.”

“To Pranit and his fans—I am deeply sorry that this happened. No one deserves this. I will personally ensure that whoever was responsible is held accountable,” he added. Sources close to the actor have also confirmed that he is actively looking into the situation and will take necessary steps to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

Meanwhile, Pranit More’s team have questioned the freedom and rights of the stand-up comedian and have also asserted about filing a police complaint against the attackers. "We have lodged an online complaint from Mumbai. We sincerely urge the authorities to take immediate action and thoroughly investigate this matter so that such incidents do not happen again", the note read in conclusion.

Recently, Rakesh Roshan, who has been busy with the promotions of their docu-series The Roshans, opened up about the few challenges that the superhero -sci-fi drama has been facing including a low budget.

In an interaction with Galatta Plus, as the veteran actor-filmmaker was asked about the current status of Krrish 4, Rakesh Roshan replied, “I known people have been waiting for a long time now. But somehow, we have been unable to get the budget right. The scale of the movie is quite massive this time. If I try to reduce the scale, the movie just seems like a common film. Moreover, the world has become small now. These days, kids have been exposed to several superhero films. Even if the smallest error will be caught by them and it will get criticized. So we have to be very very careful”.

He further added on how Indians don’t have the kind of extensive budgets that international superhero dramas have. “We cannot make movies of that level. We cannot afford that much costs. Our budget doesn't allow us. If their total budget for such films is Rs. 1000, then we have to make the same movie in just Rs. 4. Due to such financial constraints, we as movie makers have to focus on making better stories. Currently, we are working towards one such story. Although I do assure that there will definitely be high-octane sequences – may be there will only be 2 or 3 instead 10 – but it will surely be a part of the film!

For the unversed, Krrish is a superhero franchise which features Hrithik Roshan in the dual role of scientist Dr. Rohit Mehra and Krishna Mehra aka Krrish. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra as Krrish's wife Priya Mehra, along with a host of other characters.

The ‘Next On Netflix 2025’ event started with a bang with the appearance of Saif Ali Khan. And it ended on a rocking note as Shah Rukh Khan made a surprise entry to promote his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut show, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. The hilarious announcement video was unveiled after which SRK himself came on stage and it led to lot of hoots, claps and whistles.

Shah Rukh Khan began by saying, “It's been a while since we saw such a huge turnout of the press at an event. I'd like to thank Netflix for giving me and Aryan this opportunity. Thank you, Monika, Bella and Ted. I am glad that Aryan's first outing will be on this platform. He and his team - Bilal, Ankit and Manav - have worked very hard for years on this project.”

He continued, “This is like a family show as Netflix is like a family. My son is taking his first big step. My daughter Suhana has got into acting. Agar yeh duniya inko 50% bhi pyaar de de jo mujhe diya hai, toh woh bahut zyada hoga.”

Shah Rukh Khan then clarified on the title of the show, “It's pronounced as 'The Bads Of Bollywood'. There's a reason why Aryan has named it this way which you'll know once you see the show. Monika has told me to repeat the correct pronunciation ten times kyunki asterisk ke saath logon ko shayad samaj na aaye!”

He then got people excited as he remarked, “The producer of this show is Gauri Khan. Main sirf naam ka producer hoon. I have a simple funda. Yeh sab producer, director, actor sab ek taraf. I am just a bloody star!” The journalists agreed and shouted in excitement.

Shah Rukh then added, “The characters of the show are very fascinating and I felt that the story is apt for a series format. Aryan and his team agreed with me. There are many actors and actresses in the film. I haven't asked them to come on board. They signed the show for the love of Aryan. I can't name them just now. He has strictly instructed me, 'Show ke baare mein kuch nahin batana'. He said, 'Hum apna show bhi nahin dikhayenge (at the event). Sab apna show dikhayenge. Hum aapko dikhayenge! I am like ghar ki murgi. Aryan and Gauri are like, 'Isse acting karwa lo'.”

He also said, “I saw some of the episodes and they are quite fun. People get offended by my jokes. Hence, I have stopped joking. Virarsat mein maine apne bete ko joke karna de diya hai aur bola, 'Ab tu ja aur baap ka naam roshan kar'!”

Following allegations that she bribed the Akhada leaders Rs. 1 crore, the actress addressed the same in the India TV show Aap Ki Adalat where she opened up about her bank accounts being frozen after she was alleged of being involved in a drug cartel ring with bae Vicky Goswami.

However, insisting that she has been observing penance for the past 23 years, Mamta Kulkarni revealed that she was always keen on taking the spiritual route and had decided to not return to films. In the interaction with host Rajat Sharma, Mamta insisted that she has no money and said, “Mere pass Rs.10 crore kya Rs.1 crore bhi nahi hai. Mere bank accounts seize kar diye hai government ne. Aapko malum nahi hai main kis tarah se reh rahi hun. Mere pass paise nahi hai, kisi se udhar leke Rs.2 lakh, voh bhi jo guru ko dakshina deni hoti hai (What Rs. 10 crore, I don’t even have Rs. 1 crore. My bank accounts have been seized by the government. You have no idea how I have been living. I don’t have any money. I had to borrow Rs. 2 lakh to offer ‘guru dakshina’)”.

“He is a young Dhirendra Shastri. I have performed penance for 23 years, which is longer than his age. Mamta Kulkarni, who recently returned to Mumbai and sparked rumours about making a comeback in films, insisted that she doesn’t plan on returning to films but instead would like to follow a spiritual path. This further led to the actress becoming a member of the Kinnar Akhada during the Maha Kumbh and performing the rituals, after which she received the title of Mahamandaleshwar. However, now only a week later, Rishi Ajay Das, who is the founder of the Akhada has expelled the actress and also popular social activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi from their respective positions.

On Friday, Das released an official press statement regarding the removal of the two members, which was shared by many reports wherein he said, “As the founder of Kinnar Akhada, I am hereby relieving Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi from his position as Acharya Mahamandaleshwar of the Kinnar Akhada, effective immediately. His appointment was made with the goal of promoting religious activities and uplifting the transgender community, but he has deviated from these responsibilities.”

Furthermore, he also expressed his anger over the matter and was quoted telling PTI, “This is not Bigg Boss's show that you do it during Maha Kumbh and then for three years you don't do any work... Both Mamta Kulkarni and Acharya Mahamandleshwar, Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi, will be removed from their post.” He went on to speak about the accusations that were thrown against the actress regarding her involvement in the drug cartel and stated, “A person like Mamta Kulkarni who has allegations of indulging in anti-national activities against her was suddenly brought here and without 'sanyas', she was directly anointed as Mahamandleshwar. This is not right. So, I am taking action against them.”

On the other hand, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi has defended his actions and asserted taking action against Das. He also came in defense of the actress insisting that all charges against her were later dropped by the court. In a statement given to ANI, Tripathi shared, “We had expelled Ajay Das in 2017. He then chose a household life and misappropriated Kinnar Akhara's funds during the 2016 Ujjain Kumbh. In the 2019 Prayagraj Kumbh, our akhara officially allied with Juna Akhara and we accepted Mahant Hari Giri as our guru.”

Actor and producer Jackky Bhagnani recently shared updates on the much-awaited sequel to F.A.L.T.U. During a Q&A session, he revealed he’s on the lookout for a “good and exciting story” for the sequel to the 2011 film. While busy with his upcoming production Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Bhagnani emphasized that the success of the sequel hinges on an original and engaging storyline.

He said, “I am looking for a good and exciting story for F.A.L.T.U-2. Once we find something unique and appealing, we will definitely make the sequel.”

Directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Vashu Bhagnani under Puja Entertainment, F.A.L.T.U. featured Jackky Bhagnani, Puja Gupta, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Angad Bedi, Riteish Deshmukh, and Arshad Warsi, with Akbar Khan and Darshan Jariwala in supporting roles. The film was released on April 1, 2011.

Meanwhile, Bhagnani made headlines after attending the opening ceremony of the International League T20 in the UAE. Speaking about his love for cricket, the actor mentioned that he has always enjoyed playing the sport, both as a child and even now.

He added, “I’ve always enjoyed playing cricket as a kid, and I still enjoy it to date. Attending the ILT20 Opening Ceremony was a one-of-a-kind experience. We all love cricket, and it was an amazing experience for me to perform at the opening ceremony. He told Bollywood Bubble, “I mean, maybe it was a little out of place. So maybe I should have behaved myself.”

With Amazon and MX Player now coming together, certain films of Amazon Prime Video will now be available on MX Player under the AVOD arrangement and users can enjoy it without paying a single penny.

One of the biggest films in this regard is the Hindi version of Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01. The lovely documentary The Roshans dropped on Netflix and has been received love from all quarters. The show has been loved for its treatment, star value and because it speaks about not-so-known aspects of the late Roshans, his talented sons Rakesh Roshan and Rajesh Roshan and his dashing actor grandson, Hrithik Roshan. In an exclusive interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan spoke about the show and being troubled by Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan during the making of Karan Arjun (1995).

In The Roshans, Shah Rukh Khan can be heard saying, “We harassed Rakesh ji a lot because both of us were naughty and troublemakers. Pinkie ji scolded me a lot saying, ‘You’re troubling Guddu a lot. I didn’t expect this from you’. Between Salman and me, main thoda shareef tha. At least on the face of it! I replied, ‘I didn’t do anything. It’s all his doing’. So, we were two young kids, troubling a father figure.”

We asked Rakesh Roshan whether he got angry when Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were upto mischief. Rakesh Roshan set the record clear by stating, “It’s not like they were not co-operating. They used to play pranks and it became too much. Hence, other actors also joined them. As a result, when I would go for a take, nobody was in sync. I had to bring everybody in sync. But I guess it happened as they were youngsters and were having fun. They decided to do masti but in the process, things took a turn for the worse and other actors also joined them. They would tell me, ‘We’ll do that way’ while I would insist, ‘But I want it this way’.”

Rakesh Roshan continued, “They were doing it only to make me angry. But the best part is that I never got angry. Every morning, I used to pray to God that ‘Today, I should not lose my cool’. And until the very end of the shoot, I never lost my cool (smiles).”

While Shah Rukh Khan can be extensively seen in The Roshans, Salman Khan is conspicuous by his absence. When asked about it, Rakesh Roshan revealed, “I did call him up 4-5 times but I guess he was stuck in some issues. Hence, I didn’t force him (to appear in the documentary).”

While his last film was a magnum opus starring Tamil superstar Dhanush, now the director of Captain Miller is all set to enter the Bollywood arena. The filmmaker will be making his Hindi debut and the details of his first project have already been locked, reveals a source close to Matheswaran. It is being said that the filmmaker will join hands with Roaring River Productions and Bollywood producer Nazir Ahmed for his highly-ambitious projects but an official announcement of the same is yet to be made.

The Saif Ali Khan stab case saw a new development on Monday evening when the police found the owner of the SIM, which was being used by the accused – Shariful Islam. Now, in recent development, the police has traced the identity of the SIM card which is expected to be owned by a woman residing in West Bengal, wherein the latter has insisted that her mobile phone has been missing for days.

The investigation proceedings kicked off when the Mumbai police nabbed a certain man named Vijay Das, three days after the incident, who was later identified as Shariful Islam living under an alias. As the probe continued, the police revealed that they realized he was a Bangladeshi national who crossed the border to India in search of better opportunities and have been living under different identities. Recently, they asserted that the accused spent a good amount of time in West Bengal and decided to get a new number for him to stay in touch with his family in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, he soon shifted to Mumbai for jobs and continued working odd jobs in order to avoid presenting documents. In order to gather evidence, the police investigated the Nadia and Murshidabad districts around West Bengal where they arrested Shariful.

Furthermore, the reports also state that the police also investigated his identity wherein they made him contact his brother who shared documents like a school leaving certificate as proofs of his nationality.

For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan was attacked during the early hours of January 16 in an alleged attempted robbery incident at his residence in Mumbai. The actor suffered multiple stab wounds after which he was immediately rushed to the nearby Lilavati Hospital where he underwent a few emergency surgeries. However, the actor was discharged on January 21 and is well on the way to recovery.

With the investigation taking a new turn every day in the Saif Ali Khan case, latest reports suggested an alleged mismatch between the fingerprint samples collected by the police as evidence from Khan’s Mumbai residence and the accused. For the unversed, three days after the incident on January 16, the police detained a man named Sharif Muhammad – a Bangladeshi national in relation to the case. While the evidence is currently being investigated, shutting down reports of a mismatch, the Mumbai and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has revealed that they are yet to receive reports of fingerprints match.

CID confirms that reports are yet to be submitted

In a report published by Hindustan Times, Deputy Commissioner Dikshit Gedam opened up about them awaiting the report. “The fingerprint department is yet to submit their report to the Bandra police. We’ll wait for the report before commenting further,” he was quoted saying. Meanwhile, an unnamed official from the CID team too has confirmed the details asserting that they are yet to send across the report. Meanwhile, according to these reports, one of the IPS officers has addressed the ongoing buzz about fingerprints mismatch stating that it is a ‘premature’ assumption, insisting that the investigation of the evidence is currently underway.

Police registers statement from Saif Ali Khan and the house help

As per the recent reports, Saif Ali Khan and house staff, Jeh’s nanny Elyimma Philips have been registered as key witnesses in the case. Philip in her statement revealed that on the early morning hours of January 16, she spotted an intruder while on her way to her room near one of the bathrooms of the apartment. She immediately reacted by screaming for help, but the intruder tried to subdue her voice by attacking her with a knife. Meanwhile, Khan was awakened by her cry for help and immediately jumped into action in a bid to protect his house staff. However, the scuffle that followed resulted in the actor sustaining multiple severe and mild injuries across many parts of his body, following which he was immediately taken into surgery at the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra.

Deepika Padukone, who has been on a maternity break and spending quality time with her newborn daughter Dua, decided to return to her work commitments. The actress took up her first project after her break by turning the ultimate muse to Sabyasachi for his 25th anniversary fashion show, as a part of celebrating the brand. While the show was attended by many personalities from the world of Bollywood, the actress marked her return to the ramp in a chic, stylish avatar and walked for the designer on this special occasion.

The Pathaan actress marked her first appearance post embracing motherhood as she opened the show for Sabyasachi on the latter’s 25th anniversary special show and slayed in a monochromatic set of white pants, top & trench ensemble with opulent layered necklaces including a choker and a cross-pendant in rubies and diamonds by the couturier. A stack of bracelets in similar gems sat on top of black leather gloves, and a headband finished the look.

Fans were quick to show their excitement and called her, “The ultimate queen”, “MOTHER”, “mother is mothering”, “truly the queen” with even quickly drawing parallels with legendary actress Rekha as some believed that the actress’ face resembled the latter. “DP ate and left no crumbs. She just had a baby and has embraced her new body and new role like a queen,” said one of the fans whereas another added, “A REAL QUEEN @deepikapadukone is carrying on the legacy of Rekha ji”.

Sabyasachi celebrates 25 years of his brand

Known for his grandeur and opulence, fashion designer Sabyasachi hosted a massive celebration on Saturday night – January 25 which saw celebrities arrive in their most elegant avatars. While the theme was black, celebrities showcased their panache and elegance in ethnic and western outfits. Apart from the actress, present at the show were stars like Alia Bhatt, Bipasha Basu, Aditi Rao Hydari and husband Siddharth, Sonam Kapoor, Sharvari, Ananya Panday, among others.

You recently joined the Bharatiya Janta Party? Yes, it was a very big deal for me, you know meeting PM Modiji, then joining the BJP was also a big moment for me.

Would you say that was the highlight of the year for you? Anupama doing well throughout the year was also a highlight. My family is happy, healthy that is again one of the biggest highlights. But on the downside, losing my mother-in-law, that was the only thing last year that was the downside I can't sum it up as a perfect year for me because when you lose an elder, when you lose a mother, it is the protector, the custodian the umbrella that is gone from over your head and though she was unwell, she was 93 years old, she was unwell and she was bedridden for the longest time but you are never ready to let a parent go and you know it's so, family wise that was the one down thing.

The rest has all been one big sweep of joy. Rest it has been a great year. You know, I haven’t been able to watch any films recently. I watch a lot of Anupama. I watch a lot of other shows that are there on Star Plus because that is my job, and I watch animation. I watch a lot of animation movies. So, I loved Moana.

Any regrets? No nothing as such. I just think I should learn to keep my mouth shut in interviews or not give interviews at all. I think that's one thing that I should learn because I have no filter and you know, I should understand that I can't keep shooting my mouth off.

What are you looking forward to this year? First and foremost, I look forward to my family's health and their happiness, then my unit's well-being, good work, do some great scenes, great work. And yes, a lot of work towards the welfare of fur babies. So that is something that I look forward to, to get steps closer to my dream of having my dream animal shelter. Because as long as you don't live in it yourself, you have to be there with the kids yourself. And the dream I know I have, you know, it's soon going to be a reality and that is the goal to work towards it. To do more work for the fur babies and to make my family proud of me and all the people that I love should remain healthy and happy.

Your closing thoughts? God bless everybody, God bless everybody. My India should be shining, my country should be shining, and it should grow leaps and bounds under the supervision, under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi. And India is shining, and it has to shine even brighter. So, I guess that is something that I look forward to this. Modiji remaining healthy and happy is also that something that I pray for all the time. So yes, Jai Mata Di, Jai Mahakaal.
