Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar and her co-stars from her upcoming film Thank You For Coming visited the New Parliament Building in New Delhi on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. They were accompanied by Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur.

The visit came on the same day that the Women's Reservation Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha. The bill seeks to reserve 33% of seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women.

Pednekar and her co-stars, Shehnaaz Gill, Shibani Bedi, and Dolly Singh, were dressed in traditional attire for their visit. They took a tour of the building and admired the artwork and architecture, which depicts India's ancient cultural heritage. Pednekar, Bedi, and Singh are all known for speaking out on feminist and women-centric issues.

Commenting on the bill, Bhumi Pednekar asserted, “I am very proud of being a modern Indian woman and being here at this historic moment. The first bill that was discussed in the new Parliament was the Women’s Reservation Bill, and I am very hopeful for the change that women will bring while being in power and being a part of policy decision-making,” while interacting with the media present over there.

Coming back to the film, Thank You For Coming, it is slated to release on October 6. It recently had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

On the work front, Parineeti Chopra is reuniting with Akshay Kumar for bringing to life the real-life story of the brave mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill in Mission Raniganj. The actress opened up about the film and her past work as a part of the promotions of the movie, before taking off to Delhi for her marriage with politician Raghav Chadha. During the same, the actress discussed about the YRF romantic drama Meri Pyaari Bindu where she co-starred opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.

Meri Pyaari Bindu, which did receive love for its music, failed to entice the theatre-going audience and failed to get a good response at the box office. However, over time, the film received a lot of love from Bollywood romance drama fans. Opening about the wrong timing of the film, Parineeti told in an interview with Radio Nasha, “Meri Pyaari Bindu released alongside Baahubali and hence did not get love then. But that’s the film that I get the most love for today. And that’s what matters. There are many films like this that don’t make the numbers at that time, but they always find you.”

She further added, “Every film gets its own life somehow. I feel, somewhere or the other, the audience will find it. I don’t think any film goes unnoticed, whether good or bad. There are some films that will not do well at the box office. But for years, people will watch it and it’ll become a cult film. On the other hand, there are films that do really well because they came at the right time but were probably not the best piece of cinema.”

Meri Pyaari Bindu featured Parineeti Chopra in the titular character of Bindu, an aspiring singer. On the other hand, her neighbour Abhimanyu Roy played by Ayushmann Khurrana, falls in love with her and the film traces their journey of friendship, love, breakup, and commitment. The film released on May 12, 2017 whereas a couple of weeks before that, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia starrer Baahubali: The Conclusion hit the big screens.

A day after reports suggested that filmmaker SS Rajamouli was set for his next big project, it turns out that he is presenting a biopic on the Father of Indian Cinema Dadasaheb Phalke. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Tuesday, the filmmaker took to his social media to announce Made In India, which will be presented by him and produced by Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya, along with Varun Gupta. The film will be directed by Jawaani Jaaneman fame Nitin Kakkar.

The announcement teaser of Made in India had a tagline which said, “Indian cinema has witnessed many biopics. This is a biopic of Indian cinema. SS Rajamouli presents to you, Made in India.” Rajamouli wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “When I first heard the narration, it moved me emotionally like nothing else. Making a biopic is tough in itself, but conceiving one about the FATHER OF INDIAN CINEMA is even more challenging. Our boys are ready and up for it..:) With immense pride, Presenting MADE IN INDIA…”

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal is promoting his upcoming movie The Great Indian Family in which he plays the role of a middle-class man. He, however, played a similar role in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke as well in June 2023. In terms of privilege, in a recent conversation, the actor was asked about whether actors often try to look relatable in order to avoid backlash from the audience.

In a chat with Instant Bollywood, Vicky Kaushal said, “No, I don’t think so. I have many friends from the industry… Right now, the thing is that the audience can see through it. How long can you keep the pretence on? A day? Two days? Four weeks, a year? And it’s a very tiring process also.”

He added, “If you pretend to be someone you’re not, that’s what they hate. If you’re true to yourself, and that’s what you present, nobody will have (any complaints). That’s what I believe. That’s what I, as an audience member, always relate to. I don’t think about whether someone is actually middle class or not. If someone isn’t genuine, even if they’re a middle-class person, then you can’t relate with them.”

He said, “Of course, even Jawan should go, if everything falls in place. I think every effort, everybody, every director, every technician who is working in cinema, their eyes are on the Golden Globes, Oscars, National Awards, every award. So, definitely, yeah, I would love to take Jawan to the Oscars. Let's see. I think Khan sir will watch and read this interview. I will also ask him over a call 'Sir, should we take this film to the Oscars?”

Speaking of Jawan, the film is an action entertainer featuring Shah Rukh Khan in a double role. It revolves around the fight of a man who decides to fight against the system with his gang of girls which includes actors like Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sangeeta Bhattacharya, Aaliyah Qureshi, Lehar Khan, and Girija Oak in the most unique ways. Speaking to Mid-Day, Karan said, “He is actually very much two people. There is that one person who is silent, quiet, and happy with self, an introvert. And then there is an extrovert, an exhibitionist, an absolute like out there individual. So, I am surprised he is not a Gemini because he is really two people."

He added, “(The) second person none of you will ever meet. So, he is not like this. He is not wild all the time. He is conserving to explode. That is what he does with every character. I am sure when he played Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani, he had a different energy."

Shedding the light on working with Ranveer Singh in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Karan said, “He likes a certain atmosphere to create on set for anything. He is very particular about things like his eye line or silence on set like he is very sound sensitive. Even if, like a kilometre away, there is something happening, he won’t be able to perform. That is something you have to make sure that he is comfortable with. When he is there and he is delivering, then you are just awestruck because he has gone from Ranveer Singh to Rocky Randhawa, and then he stayed Rocky Randhawa right through the day. Like right through the day, he will talk to you like Rocky.”

Recently, it was announced that the movie has been selected for the Busan International Film Festival 2023. The film, helmed by Karan Johar, has been selected in the Open Cinema section.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar will next helm an action project. However, he has many projects in the pipeline as a producer. With Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan has once again delivered a massive blockbuster. Helmed by Atlee, the film has collected Rs. 442.73 crore at the box office in India and continues to soar in the cinemas. Following a successful press conference last Friday, Shah Rukh Khan greeted the fans on Sunday outside his Mumbai residence, Mannat in Bandra.

Videos of the actor have gone viral on social media as the actor blew flying kisses and even did his signature pose to greet the fans. The actor wore a blue T-shirt and black shades and was sporting his long hair.

At a press conference on September 15, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Jawan is an Indian soldier, Jawan is an Indian mother, Jawan is an Indian girl, Jawan is an Indian vigilante, and you have to understand that Jawan many times, is very weak because it's all of us and many times, he's ready for a fight. Jawan is wrong many times, but very many times, he's also right. Jawan, sometimes will live in the darkness. Karan Johar’s directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, is all set to complete 25 years next month, on October 16. The film was a runaway blockbuster but sadly, KJo couldn’t properly enjoy its success at the time of its release. This is because the underwater had called his father, Yash Johar, and asked him to stall the film’s release. The cops provided protection. Yet, Karan wasn’t even allowed to mingle with the guests at the premiere, held at Mumbai’s Liberty cinema and was kept locked up in a room. After the screening, the party moved to the popular restaurant, Khyber. When six gatecrashers entered the party, without any mal-intention, Yash Johar got so paranoid that he, Karan and mother Hiroo Johar left for London by a 4:00 am flight.

Karan Johar opened up about this episode while speaking to Mayank Shekhar of Mid-Day. He continued that they lived in a discreet location in a tiny apartment in London. The fear was so great that Hiroo Johar even hoped that it would be great if Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is not a success so that the attention didn’t fall on them.

Nevertheless, a few days later, Karan Johar went to a large single-screen theatre in London to check the audience reaction to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He said that he was devastated when he saw 300 people leaving during the interval.

KJo feared the worst but his father, Yash Johar, felt something is not right. Karan Johar narrated, “He (Yash Johar) walked outside and there was a huge line in the ladies’ washroom. He asked why there was such a crowd. They said, ‘Can’t you see, our mascara is off. We have cried so much!’”

Any remaining doubt vanished in thin air when he spoke to Aditya Chopra, whose company Yash Raj Films distributed Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. KJo stated, “Adi asked me, ‘What is the most expensive thing you want to buy?’ I said, ‘I want to move to a bigger house with mom and dad’. He said, ‘So, come back to Bombay, and buy the biggest house—your movie is a blockbuster!”

On the first anniversary of the legendary choreographer Saroj Khan's passing on July 3, 2020, Bhushan Kumar announced a biopic detailing her remarkable life. This forthcoming biographical film will be produced by T-Series. Saroj Khan, who had dedicated nearly four decades to the art of dance and choreography, passed away due to a heart attack. While specific narrative details of the biopic remain in the early stages of development, there have been reports suggesting that Madhuri Dixit is under consideration to portray the iconic Saroj Khan.

Regarding the biopic, an insider told Hindustan Times, “Writing is still at a very nascent stage and hence nothing concrete has come out. However, the makers are trying to have a series of actors to play Saroj ji in different phases of her life. For example, one girl will play Saroj ji in her younger days, while the other one will play her older version. And Madhuri is being considered for one of these roles.”

The source also highlighted the extensive scope of the biopic, saying, “There are many things to show through the biopic as Khan’s life was full of highs and lows. And that’s why the writers are still deciding which angle to choose to show the story.”

According to reports, “6 months ago, there were talks about Madhuri Dixit being the central character. She was also approached for the same. And she is an ideal choice because Madhuri ka career define karne me Saroj Khan ka bahut bada haath raha hai. Most of her popular songs - from Dhakk Dhakk to Ek Do Teen - were all hits courtesy Saroj Khan. Even Madhuri always ensured that Saroj Khan choreographs her. Moreover, both of them shared a very close bond and understanding. It was easier for her to communicate with Madhuri.”

Upon reaching out to Khan's daughter Sukaina, she conveyed to HT that they have not yet settled on a definitive name. “They haven’t decided anything. The team has told me that as soon as they will shortlist the actors, they will come and have a word with the family. And it’s going to be a tough task to cast the right actors. I don’t think they have set their mind on one person,” she shared.

Sukaina added, “You cannot show one person playing her on screen and showing all that she has gone through. We are talking about a 10-year-old who joined the industry, a 17 year old who started working as an assistant choreographer and a legend who was at the peak of her career at a young age of 35-40. We need at least three people who play three different roles and show mom's journey. I would like Madhuri ma’am to be part of it, but she can probably show the latter stages of mom’s life. For other two characters, we would need other actors. That’s how I want her biopic to be.”

Sukaina also said, “I have been very clear that I do not want to get into the casting process because it’s their job. I am just happy that they have decided to put out the story of a legend like her, who has done exceptionally well not just as a professional but also as a mother, a daughter and a grandmother,” she shares.

As the script of the Saroj Khan biopic continues to evolve, fans and cinephiles eagerly anticipate the unveiling of this cinematic tribute to the dance maestro. The film is expected to capture the essence of Saroj Khan's remarkable journey and her profound influence on the world of dance and Bollywood.

Ever since Star Plus announced that the Star Parivaar Awards would resume after a five-year hiatus, fans have been unable to contain their excitement. The recently held red carpet for the awards night was an extravagant and glittery event that saw the presence of Rupali Ganguly, Pranali Rathod, Sayali Salunkhe, Vijayendra Kumeria, Avinash Mishra, Neha Solanki, and many more artists, who are associated with some of the most popular shows on the channel which includes Anupama, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain, Titli, among others.

Star Parivaar Awards night also saw varied performances and acts done by the artists of these Star Plus shows. The main highlight of the event was ‘Funupama’. Gaurav Khanna aka Anuj Kapadia, clad in an attire similar to that of Anupama, created some hilarious moments that would surely tickle the funny bones of the audience. While Gaurav Khanna aka Anuj Kapadia from the Star Plus show Anupama mimicked Anupama, the Kapadia family and Shah family cheered for their favourite Anuj. This was the very first time that Anuj had donned Anupama's attire and we are sure audiences are going to love their Anuj in this new avatar of Funupama. The evening is also expected to feature a host of performances from MaAn, AbhiRa, and some more onscreen couples who will be setting the stage on fire.

Karan Johar emerged as a director to reckon with, with the monstrous blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). He then followed it up with another huge grosser, the big-budget multi-starrer family entertainer, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). 2 years later, he came up with Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), his first film as a producer, and it was also a very big hit. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta, the romantic drama marked the directorial debut of Nikkhil Advani, a successful director-producer today. Karan had written its script.

After Kal Ho Naa Ho, however, Nikkhil Advani left Dharma Productions. In a recent interview, he revealed that due to his public fall out with Karan Johar, he didn’t get work for three years.

Karan Johar was asked to comment on this statement while talking to Mayank Shekhar of Mid-Day. Karan gave a detailed answer and also credited Nikkhil for holding his hands while he was directing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.

Karan Johar said, “I didn’t know if it was a gap of three years that he got no work. The fallout is too far gone, firstly. I attribute my knowledge of cinema and camera grammar to him. I was quite clueless on my first film. I just knew mid-shot, wide-shot and close-up. He mentored my technique. I will be forever grateful to him for that. But we are wonderful now when we meet—exchanging shared nostalgia and memories. We had a creative fallout. It was a time when he was hurting. I was hurting. It was at an unfortunate time because my father was very critical (during the making of Kal Ho Naa Ho).”

Karan Johar’s father, the much-loved and respected Yash Johar, passed away on June 26, 2004, after suffering from cancer. He was 74.

On September 16, it came to light that one of the most awaited films of 2024, Singham Again, went on floors. Director Rohit Shetty and actors Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh were seen at the mahurat of the film, which was held at Mumbai’s YRF Studios on Saturday. As expected, the pictures of the mahurat went viral. Akshay Kumar, who’s also a part of the film, could not make it but gave his good wishes.

Meanwhile, one more piece of information also came to the fore. Milap Zaveri, known for writing massy dialogues and directing commercial entertainers, has come on board for Singham Again. He has penned the dialogues and is also one of the writers besides Yunus Sajawal and Shantanu Srivastava.

Milap Zaveri himself broke the news as he posted the mahurat picture on his social media handles. He wrote, "It’s my honour to write the dialogues for #SinghamAgain and be part of the writing team with @sajawalyunus @ishantanus and all! Thanks to @itsrohitshetty sir for believing in me!!!"

A few hours later, he posted a picture where he can be seen posing with Rohit Shetty. Milap Zaveri had earlier written screenplay and dialogues for Rohit Shetty’s Ranveer Ching Returns, a video made as part of the promotions of the Chings brand. It starred Ranveer Singh and Tamannaah Bhatia. Singham Returns, however, marks the first film where Milap and Rohit have collaborated.

An industry insider commented, “Rohit Shetty and Milap Zaveri both believe in mass cinema. Rohit’s films require dramatic and clapworthy dialogues that can uplift a scene. Milap Zaveri is apt for it as he has proved his worth in such films multiple times.”

Besides Singham Returns, Milap Zaveri has also penned Sharman Joshi’s next with his Style (2002) co-star Sahil Khan. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama in August 2022, Milap Zaveri said, “I’ve written the dialogue for Sanjay Gupta’s The Miranda Brothers, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Meezaan Jafri. It’s my seventh film with Sanjay Gupta’s company after Kaante (2002), Plan (2004), Musafir (2004), Woodstock Villa (2008), Shootout At Wadala (2013) and Alibaug. I am writing dialogues for his next film too. I am also writing the story, screenplay and dialogues for Mohit Suri’s next and the story, screenplay and dialogues for Kookie Gulati’s next. I am also penning the screenplay and dialogues for Remo D’Souza’s next film as well as writing his web series.” In the same interview, he also assured that he’ll soon announce his next, which is an action drama.

Singham Returns, meanwhile, is the fifth part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe after Singham (2011), Singham Returns (2014), Simmba (2018) and Sooryavanshi (2021). As per reports, Arjun Kapoor plays the antagonist in Singham Again.

Akshay Kumar, who is known for his sense of humour even off screen, recently gave his curious fans a glimpse of it. As the actor gearing up for the biopic on Jaswant Singh Gill with Mission Raniganj, the actor recently was seen promoting the film on various platforms including social media. While fans were showering love on the movie, some were also seen having a fun banter with the superstar.

In a recent Instagram post, Akshay Kumar thrilled fans by announcing the release of the song 'Jalsa 2.0' from the forthcoming Mission Raniganj. Coming to Mission Raniganj, as the release date draws nearer, fans across the globe eagerly are waiting to witness Akshay Kumar donning the avatar of yet another real-life hero as Jaswant Singh Gill. Scheduled for release on October 6, Mission Raniganj promises to be an ode to heroism, based on the real-life incident of the Raniganj Coalfields Collapse of 1989 that shook West Bengal. Over 60 mine worker were trapped underground during this accident but survived because of Jaswant Singh Gill who fought tooth and nail to save them.

Post his last release Zero in 2019, Shah Rukh Khan had decided to take a sabbatical from the film industry which resulted in the actor staying from films for over three years. His comeback venture Pathaan, which released earlier this year, kicked off its shoot schedule last year and it was the first time, the superstar was returning on the sets after three years. During the recently held Jawan press conference, Shah Rukh confessed that he was indeed nervous to go back to the sets but it was his son Aryan Khan who motivated him to go and give his best.

Readers would be aware that Shah Rukh Khan celebrated the success of his second release this year, Jawan, which seems to be breaking records created by Pathaan too. While celebrating the success of this South-Bollywood collaboration, which has been creating quite a stir at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about the first time he visited the sets of Pathaan after his three-year sabbatical. He said, “Main bhi bahut nervous tha ki maine itne saal kaam nahi kiya (I was very nervous because I hadn’t worked for so many years). For me to return to a set after three years itself was very new.”

He further credited Aryan Khan for encouraging him, adding, “It was feeling very, very different. My elder son told me, ‘When we were growing up, we knew what stardom in the air feels like because your films were big hits. The daughter (Suhana) says I know it. But this little one (AbRam) knows you’re a star but has never seen or felt it in the air. So next five films, please work very hard. He'll feel it in the air. He'll love and respect you."

And it seems that all the hard work and efforts have paid off. Currently, not only have his two releases raked in massive moolah but SRK has become the only Indian actor to have had two Rs. 500 crore hits in a single year.

Jawan, starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, among others, released in theatres on September 7 whereas Pathaan, which is an action-packed thriller from the YRF spy universe which released in January this year. Both of them featured the superstar with Deepika Padukone.

Actor Imran Khan, who recently stirred a social media storm with his hints about a Bollywood comeback, shared a series of stills and behind-the-scenes pictures from the movie Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara and shared some intriguing insights into the making of the movie. He took to social media to share throwback pictures from the film's set along with Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar.

Sharing throwback pictures, Imran captioned, “Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara (that's the official spelling, zoom in on the poster if you don't believe me) was a tricky film. It was perceived and marketed as a gangster movie, but I had always seen it as a tragic romance; while the characters are gangsters, the plot is entirely driven by the love story, not the cops vs robbers stuff.”

He further added, “I was excited about the retro vibe of the film, and I took a lot of styling cues from Anil Kapoor (Mashaal) and Jackie Shroff (Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri) in their 80's glory. I grew out my sideburns and mustache in an attempt to be authentic... but it was not to be.”

Imran said, “While I was initially scheduled to wrap shooting on this film in January 2013, and begin the shoot for Gori Tere Pyaar Mein the next month, the schedules stretched till August of that year, and we were still on set filming scenes two weeks before release! This meant that after filming about 30% of my scenes, I had to shave and get a haircut so I could start GTPM, and complete the rest of OUATIM with hair extensions, fake sideburns and a glued-on mustache. It's easy to catch, now that you're looking for it!”

“The film was not very well received upon release, and I shouldered most of the responsibility... but that never tarnished the affection I felt for my team mates. @akshaykumar was the very definition of Movie Star cool, and is probably the strongest human being I've met in real life... this dude's forearms are as thick as my calves, seriously. And I loved @aslisona from the first day. Fearless and unrestrained as an actor, and utterly devoid of any self-importance,” Imran concluded.

In an interview with Aaj Tak, Somy Ali said, “The wedding cards were printed, but Sangeeta caught Salman red-handed in my apartment. What Salman did to Sangeeta, the same happened to me. This is called karma, when I grew up a little, I understood about it.” For the unversed, Salman Khan was supposed to tie the knot with Sangeeta Bijlani in the 90s and was already engaged to the actress.

During the post-release gathering of Jawan held at the YRF Studios in Mumbai today, Shah Rukh Khan discussed his collaboration with Atlee, humorously stating, “he is mass and I am class.” He went on to reveal that Atlee often distinguished between “mass” and “class,” offering the critique that certain shots he believed to be “cool” were, in Atlee's eyes, more “mass” than “class.” SRK said, “Every time I thought I have done a cool shot, Atlee sir would be like, ‘No, this is mass and not class’.”

Shah Rukh Khan continued, expressing his gratitude for the film's team and his desire to please the director. From the day the trailer launched, 'Bete ko hath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar’ received mass acclaim. However, writer Sumit Arora says that the dialogue wasn’t part of the script before.

Writer Sumit Arora said in an interview with PTI that the viral dialogue wasn’t a part of the script, originally. He shared, “It’s a story that will make you believe in the magic of movie-making. That line was never there in our draft originally. The ‘moment’ where SRK sir’s character says the line was always there and we all knew that it is a powerful moment even without a dialogue. But while shooting, it was felt that there should be a line, that this guy should say something.”

The writer further added, “I was there on the set, so I was called in, and the first words that came out of my mouth given the situation were, ‘Bete ko hath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar.’ It felt like the most obvious and most apt thing he should say at that moment. It just fits. Director Atlee and SRK sir both felt it was correct and the shot was taken.”

Sumit reacted to the kind of response the dialogue received. He said, "The way SRK sir delivered it gave us goosebumps. But we never thought that that line would become such a huge hit and would resonate with people in this way. As a writer, you can only write a line but its destiny goes on to write itself."

Veteran actor Rio Kapadia, known for his performances in Chak De India and Dil Chahta Hai, has died at the age of 66. The actor died on September 14 and the news was confirmed by his friend Faisal Malik. The cause of his death is yet to be revealed. His last rites will be carried out today at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhumi in Goregaon.

Rio Kapadia was seen in both movies and TV shows. He worked on projects like The Big Bull, Khuda Hafiz, Agent Vinod, Mumbai Meri Jaan, and Mardaani among others. On web shows, he was seen in City Of Dream, Bombay Begums, The Verdict: State Vs Nanavati, The Test Case etc. Even on TV shows, he was seen in shows like Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Kutumb, Judwa Raja, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

The actor's message advising his followers not to wear fake sneakers triggered a heated online debate, drawing mixed reactions from the digital community. Now, he has responded to a user on X (formerly Twitter), who informed him that they would 'still not buy his brother-in-law’s shoes.' It's worth noting that Harsh Varrdhan's sister, actor Sonam Kapoor, is married to entrepreneur Anand Ahuja.

Harsh Vardhan Kapoor's advice on avoiding knock-off sneakers did not sit well with some on X recently. The actor's comment faced backlash, with some deeming it. One user tweeted, “Bruh (brother) we are still not buying your brother-in-law’s shoes (sneakers from Anand Ahuja's store).” In response, the actor stated, “I couldn’t care less about that tbh.”

Converse vans basic air force etc... if someone gets you a gift and they happen to be inauthentic you can pass them onto someone else that doesn't know what they are and would be happy to wear... but if you are buying your own please do your own diligence... buy from trusted sellers.”

He also added, “Also really hope more men/boys look into how they dress and invest well in what they wear.. again doesn't have to be expensive tons and tons of cheap options out there.. but no point wearing a really expensive pair of shoes if you don't know how to put the rest of it together tbh... It's supposed to say something about you... your tastes and preferences…”

Over the last 2 years, the Nitesh Tiwari directed Ramayana has been the talk of the town due to its casting. The film at first was supposed to be made with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Hrithik Roshan as Ravan. However, right after the failure of Vikram Vedha, Hrithik Roshan backed out of the film as he didn't wish to play another negative character. The makers then went on hunting for an actor to play Ravan. They knocked all doors, and finally it was Yash who expressed interest in the film.

It has been on and off for Yash ever since then, and the actor is still in a confused state regarding his decision to play Ravan in the film, keeping the team of Ramayana hanging about his decision. While Yash continues to have confusion about Ramayana, Sai Pallavi had backed out of the film making way for Alia Bhatt, who again backed out of the film, resulting in re-entry of Sai Pallavi at the request of Nitesh Tiwari.

And now Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt from our discrete sources that all is not well at producers level for Ramayana. "Ramayana was being produced by Madhu Mantena with Namit Malhotra and Allu Aravind. Over the last 2 years, there have been several conflicts between the team. While Madhu has not been able to get a cast locked for the film as yet, Namit now wants to have complete control over the project as he is deeply involved on the VFX front. He feels, if Madhu cannot not get the celebs on board, he should forsake his a share of revenue on Ramayana," revealed a source close to the development to Bollywood Hungama.

Madhu on the other hand believes that he has got the entire Ramayana project together - right from the script to the story board - and it's not his fault that actors are not willing to take up Ramayana due to the debacle of Adipurush. "Actors backing out of Ramayana is circumstantial due to the failure of Adipurush. That doesn't take away the efforts put in by Madhu to bring in actors on board and bring Ramayana to the big screen. Both the producers are strong headed in their thought process and at the moment are not willing to budge," the source told us further.

The tussle between Madhu and Namit has put the prep work of Ramayana on the back burner, delaying the shoot dates. The film was slated to start in 2021, however, there has been a two year delay already due to casting conflict. Now, the producer conflict has already delayed the shoot timelines by at-least three more months. "If the conflict is resolved, the makers would hope for a yes from Yash and then take the film on floors. It's all wait and watch for now as the team is busy fighting among each-other," the source concluded.

Ramayana will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari with Ravi Udyawar and has Ranbir Kapoor to play the part of Lord Ram.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is currently obliterating the box office with Jawan which has entered the Rs. 600 crore club worldwide at the box office. In India, it has garnered Rs. 345.60 crore in just seven days of its release. The film, helmed by Atlee Kumar, stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara along with a special appearance from Deepika Padukone. Now, Karan Johar can't stop raving about the movie.

A recent statement by Naseeruddin Shah made headlines when he called the success of films like Gadar 2 ‘disturbing’. The veteran actor said that the objective of filmmaking is now driven by jingoism. Now, Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma has responded to Naseeruddin Shah’s statement.

In an interview with Aaj Tak, Anil Sharma said, “I read that quote by Naseer Sahab. I was surprised after reading it. Naseer Sahab knows me well and he also knows which ideology I belong to. I am surprised that he is saying such things about Gadar 2.”

He further added, “I would like to say that Gadar 2 is not against any community. Neither is it against any country. Gadar in itself is a film which is full of patriotism. It is part of a sequel. It is a proper masala film. Which people have been watching for years. So I would like to tell Naseer Sahab that once he watches Gadar 2, he will definitely change his statement. I still feel that he cannot say such things. I have been a fan of his acting. If he has said so, then I would request him to watch the film once. I have always made cinema with the aim of masala. I have never had any political propaganda in this. Naseer Sahab himself is aware of this.”

In an interview with Free Press Journal, Naseeruddin Shah said that the popularity of films now is driven due to jingoism. He said, “Now the more jingoist you are, the more popular you become, because this is what has been ruling this country. It’s not enough to love your country, but beat drums about it and you have to create imaginary enemies. What these people don’t realise is that what they are doing is very harmful. In fact, films like The Kerala Story and Gadar 2, I haven’t seen them but I know what they are about.”

For the past couple of years, rumours have been rife that Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project Baiju Bawra. This will mark their third collaboration after Gully Boy and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement for the project. In the meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty seems to have auditioned for a pivotal part.

As per a report in Filmfare, Rhea Chakraborty has reportedly auditioned for a female lead role for which Bhansali was holding auditions. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, it seems like Chakraborty is trying her best to get back to films.

Ranveer Singh has worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. This will mark their fourth collaboration. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, was seen in Gangubai Kathiawadi for which she won National Film Award for Best Actress, this year.

While the audience waits for the official announcement of the project, Bhansali is busy with Heeramandi. The star cast includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh was revealed. The series explores the cultural reality of Heeramandi, a dazzling district, through the stories of courtesans and their patrons set against the tumultuous backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle of the 1940s.
