Shiddat actor Mohit Raina, best known for his performances in Devo Ke Dev Mahadev and Mumbai Diaries 26/11, got married to Aditi Sharma last year in December. The actor posted his wedding pictures to make the official announcement. However, in recent times, rumours were rife that their marriage was in trouble. Amid these speculations, Raina celebrated his first anniversary with Aditi on December 24.

Mohit Raina took to Instagram to post a photo from one of their trek diaries in Himachal Pradesh. He wrote, “Cheers to two imperfect pieces that fit perfectly together. Happy 1 my - red heart emoji.”

In a statement to a publication, Mohit Raina rubbished the divorce rumours recently saying that they are baseless. He said the duo was in Himachal Pradesh celebrating their first wedding anniversary.

Mohit Raina tied the knot with his girlfriend Aditi Sharma in a private ceremony in 2021. He had posted pictures with a caption that read, “Love recognises no barriers, it jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination, full of hope. With that hope and the blessings of our parents, we are no longer two but one. Need all your love and blessing in this new journey. Aditi & Mohit.”

The television industry and the audience at large received a major jolt last evening with the news of the 20-year-old Tunisha Sharma, who played Shehzaadi Mariam in Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul, dying by suicide. The actress was reportedly found hanging in the bathroom on the sets of the show. She was only 20 years old.

As per the latest update in the case, the late actress’ mother has filed a complaint against her Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul co-actor Sheezan Khan for alleged abetment to suicide. Khan plays the role of Alibaba in the show. DCP Chandrakant Jadhav spoke to the media and said that the death is under investigation. “Tunisha Sharma, who was working on the sets of Alibaba Dastaan E Kabul has died by suicide. She hanged herself. Her mother has filed a complaint against Sheezan (Khan) for abetment to suicide. Sheezan worked with her in the show as Alibaba,” he said. There have also been reports that she was pregnant. “There is no report on this,” said the cop to the media, as per Times Of India.

Narrating how the people on the sets came to know about her death, a senior police official said in a statement, “There is a Ramdev Studio in Naigaon where the shoot was on. Then there was a break between the shots when this actress went to the bathroom and then she hung herself there. People on the sets rushed her to the hospital where she was declared 'brought dead'. It is primary information. Our team is on the spot and they are investigating. We will take everyone's statement.”

Waliv Police is questioning everyone who was present on the sets on Saturday. The actress reportedly did not leave a suicide note.

Shabana Azmi would be working with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment for the first time on a web-series to be directed by Shonali Bose of Margarita With A Straw fame.

Shabana was Shonali’s first choice for the role. She even asked Farhan to put in a word. Shabana has loved her role. But the only problem is that Shabana’s dates that Shonali needs are clashing with Steven Spielberg’s Halo Season 2.

“Shabana is trying her best to work around the date clash. Halo is a commitment she made long before she was offered Shonali’s series,” says a source in the know. “But she is excited about working with Shonali for the first time, and her son Farhan the second time.”

Shabana had been once directed by Farhan in a memorable short film titled Positive, co-starring Boman Irani.

Notorious criminal and killer Charles Sobhraj was released from the Central Jail in Kathmandu, Nepal yesterday and deported to his home country France. He was serving a life sentence over there since 2003 for the murder of a US tourist in 1975 in Nepal.

Randeep Hooda played Sobhraj’s character in the latter’s biopic Main Aur Charles, released in 2015.

Funnily, a well-known publication carried the news about Sobhraj’s release but used a picture of Hooda from the 2015 movie. The actor looked at the funny side of it on social media. He tweeted the picture of the news and wrote, “Is that a back handed compliment or did you genuinely get confused between the “real” and “reel” Charles Sobhraj?”

As expected, the tweet was met with humorous responses. But there were also some who felt that Hooda was so in character that the publication might have got confused between reel and real. The actor is known for his method acting. Writer and columnist Zainab Sikander replied to the actor’s tweet saying, “They got confused cause you literally metamorphosed into Charles Sobhraj for that role. Can’t blame them!”

Directed by Prawaal Raman, Main Aur Charles also starred Richa Chadha, Adil Hussain, Alexx O’Nell, Mandana Karimi and Lucky Morani.

On the work front, Randeep’s last project in the form of the Netflix show CAT released earlier this month. In the coming year, he will be seen playing the titular character in Swatantra Veer Savarkar, which will also be his directorial debut.

Recently, market veteran Shankar Sharma earned a 100% profit from his investment of Rs 2.45 crores in the start-up DroneAcharya Aerial. Along with him, Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor also doubled up their investment from the same start-up, as per a report in Economic Times.

The start-up, which is headquartered in Pune, was founded by Prateek Srivastava and it got backing from Sharma, Aamir and Ranbir, among others.

As per the report, Aamir bought 46,600 shares of DroneAcharya for Rs 25 lakhs while Ranbir invested Rs 20 lakhs to buy 37,200 shares. The price of each share was Rs 53.59.

Earlier this year, DroneAcharya became one of the first private firms to get a DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) certified licence. The firm has trained as many as over 200 pilots this year. It also conducts surveys in areas like mining, agriculture, water resources and law and order.

Speaking about the venture, Srivastava, the Founder and Managing Director of DroneAcharya Aerial, told the publication, “Training and manufacturing are going to play major roles in the growth story of DroneAcharya as a global brand. We are targeting not just the Indian market but also Southeast Asia, Middle East, US and Central Asia.”

On the work front, Aamir had one release this year in the form of Laal Singh Chaddha while he made a guest appearance in Salaam Venky. Ranbir, on the other hand, was seen this year in Shamshera and Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva.

Rapper Honey Singh has spoken on the ongoing controversy surrounding Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The first song‘Besharam Rang’ has created an uproar and has seen polarizing responses on the choices of clothes of Deepika Padukone. Singh said that earlier people weren’t this sensitive and would take things as entertainment.

Speaking to PTI, Honey Singh gave the example of the song ‘Rukmani Rukmani’ from the 1992 film Roja and said, “Freedom was much more earlier. People may have been less educated but they were far more sensible. They were intellectually wiser and would take things as entertainment. They wouldn’t take anything to heart... Rahman sir had a song, ‘Rukmani Rukmani shaadi ke baad kya kya hua’ (What happened after marriage, Rukmani?)… People accepted it. I grew up listening to it, but when I made such lyrics, people started protesting. Now it’s even worse, people have become way too sensitive. I can’t fathom why. It’s just entertainment.”

Honey Singh had previously crooned ‘Lungi Dance’ for Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in Chennai Express.He added, “People were so intelligent at that time. They understood shayari and never saw it as something dirty. Nowadays, if someone makes songs like ‘Choli ke peeche kya hai’, people will sit on their head and ask, ‘What’s happening?’”

Most recently, a complaint was filed seeking registration of an FIR against Pathaan in Mumbai for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of people and “intentional” use of the colour saffron to offend the Hindu religion. As per reports, the complaint was filed by an activist at Sakinaka Police Station in Mumbai.

Before that, Vineet Jindal, an advocate at Supreme Court, had filed a complaint with the Information and Broadcasting Ministry against the lead actors for “objectional video" amid the ‘Besharam Rang’ row.  The complaint has been filed to seek to ban the release of Pathaan till the “correctness of objectionable song”.

The film has been in multiple controversies. Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) national spokesperson Vinod Bansal demanded that the movie should be boycotted and banned. He slammed the costumes of Deepika Padukone in ‘Besharam Rang’.

In another incident, a mahant of Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi Raju Das called for people to set fire to the theatres that screen the movie. He also said that this has insulted religious sentiments. This comes after Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra raised issues against objectionable costumes in ‘Besharam Rang’ and Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam said that the film that insults Hindutva will not be tolerated.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is back on the big screen after a gap of four years with Pathaan, creating hysteria amongst his fans! YRF dropped the second song 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan' from their highly anticipated tentpole film yesterday and surprised everyone by giving audiences a quintessential SRK, not just grooving to music but also treating fans with his signature arm stretched out a pose in the music video!

Bosco Martis, who has choreographed King Khan in the song, reveals, “In one of the sequences, we wanted to celebrate Khan saab’s a signature/iconic pose while flaunting his chiseled body. He was a little shy initially to show off his ripped physique. However, after seeing the final outcome and now the audience's reaction to it, we are thrilled to have shot this sequence.”

Pathaan is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and has the biggest superstars of the country Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in it. Bosco says, “It was a dream to choreograph two of the biggest superstars of our country for Pathaan. Both Deepika and Khan saab are extremely dedicated individuals. They made sure they were thorough with the choreography before we started shooting. Despite a hectic schedule, both Deepika and Khan saab rehearsed for a couple of hours every day post-pack-up.”

He adds, “The brief Siddharth (Anand) gave me was to make the song look cool and stylized with effortless Sufiana dance moves. We wanted the song to have a distinguished and groovy hook-step.”

While he was on a massive career high, Yo Yo Honey Singh decided to quit the industry to deal with alcoholism and depression. Although the singer has always been open about the mental issues he faced, he recently went on to confess that he also faced bipolar disorder. In a recent interview, he also spoke about the reactions he received after his comeback. The singer revealed that his songs were accepted by the people but he was not.

In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Yo Yo Honey Singh said, “When I fell ill a lot of things were going on in life. I had the SLAM tour with Shah Rukh Khan. I had worked on a Star Plus project, I chose its name. I designed it for a year. When the show started, a lot of work was there. I was also doing a Punjabi film. A lot of things were happening. When I collapsed, when I had bipolar disorder and psychotic symptoms on set of Raw Star, maine kaha kuch problem hai mere dimaag mein, kuch hogaya hai. Mereko isko theek karne do (I said there is some problem with my brain, something has happened. I want to fix it)."

He continued, “Mujhe kuch nahi karna, mujhe isko theek karna hai (I don’t want to do anything else, I just want to work on this). It took me five years and I got better. Then, I wanted to make music. But I told my mother, ‘I’m unable to do anything’. She told me, ‘You started as a music producer, start writing beats’.

“I was making a comeback. Then, my songs became hits but I was facing failures. Mota tha, logo ne kaha, ‘Yeh woh look nahi hai, woh comeback nahi horaha’. Gaana hit horaha tha but mujhe accept nahi karahe the log (I was fat, people said, this isn’t the look, the comeback isn’t happening’. The songs were hits but people were not accepting me)," added the singer.

Kamlesh Sawant is known for his quality performances in Hindi and Marathi movies. His role as Inspector Gaitonde in Drishyam and Drishyam 2 garnered extreme love as well as hatred, albeit in a good way.

Giving insight into the kind of comments he faced, he said in an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, “There are people who have seen my work before and after Khakee. These are the people who called me after watching Drishyam and praised my work. However, they also questioned my role in the film and asked why I agreed on taking up a negative character as they had so far seen me in positive roles only. To this I simply replied saying that this role came in my fate, so I took it up”.

Continuing the conversation, he further added, “I cannot question what role comes to me. My duty is only to justify any role I get. Gaitonde’s character was meant to receive hatred as it was a negative character. So, the offensive comments that were given to the character were not for me, but (for) Inspector Gaitonde”.

On dealing with blunt statements from people, Kamlesh elaborated, “People used to come up to me and express how they felt like hitting me with sandals, but also did love my work. I used to go blank with such prises as I didn’t know how to react towards it”.

But he got used to it later as can be seen from another incident he recalled. “Even when I was shooting in a village for a Marathi film after Drishyam released, few women came by during the shoot, but refused to get a photo clicked with me,” he said. “The actress of the film even insisted the ladies for the same, but they clearly rejected and left. I was not at all surprised with this kind of reaction from audience as I was already used it.”

Taking this further, Kamlesh shared an incident that took place in late evening right after the release of Drishyam, where he had received a call from random number cursing Inspector Gaitonde. As a reaction to this call, Kamlesh blocked the contact as he felt that the caller had completely engrossed himself within the film and expressed his hatred towards the character of Gaitonde. It seemed fair to him as Gaitonde did attempt brutality on kids and females too which provoked people to hate his character even more.

Kamlesh Sawant did not take any negative comments personally. He rather enjoyed receiving them as it showed how much he had justified the negative character.

The multi-starrer Bollywood film Cirkus is all set to hit theatres this week. Ever since the makers dropped the trailer of Cirkus, the audience has been eagerly waiting to meet all the quirky characters of the Cirkus family. One of the USPs of Cirkus is its cast. During a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, director Rohit Shetty opened up on the casting of Cirkus.

The All The Best director asserted, “We had written a basic draft of this script in 2013. Then we made Sooryavanshi and then the pandemic happened. In April, I called my team and I'm like let’s face it. Whatever happens, let's start working and we started scripting. We wrote the whole script and then I gave him (Ranveer Singh) a basic narration and he was like okay.”

The 48-year-old director further added, “Varun (Sharma) and I had worked together. He was the first choice. Then came the one girl who's playing his wife. Me and Pooja (Hedge) had met twice or thrice before and we had discussed that we'll be working together. I said okay let's see if Pooja is free and the same way with Jackie (Jacqueline Fernandez). So none of them is the second choice.”

Concluding the same, he said, “Nobody was doing anything and even my technicians and I were like we don't know when Sooryavanshi is going to release. I don't know what's going to happen but till when are we going to sit because everybody was at home. So this one is for my technicians. I made this film for them.”

For the unversed, directed by Rohit Shetty, Cirkus is based on William Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors. Along with the star cast, the film will also feature Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone in a special appearance. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing a double role for the first time.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has all things to celebrate. His directorial Cirkus has released in theatres. Recently, him and Cirkus lead star Ranveer Singh were in attendance at a media conclave with Lallantop where they were asked if the Hindi films have lost it's magic.

Rohit reflected on the Hindi and South film industry, Rohit Shetty said that even South movies have suffered back to back flops and given few hits only this year. "Pichle 2 saal se hum pandemic se guzre hai. Humari jitni bhi badi filmein hai woh shuru nahi hui, ya bann nahi payi. Joh filmein release hui waha (South) se, woh pehle se bann chuki hai. Humari pehli Sooryavanshi aayi. Phir saal ki shuruwaat mein The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Drishyam 2, aur Gangubai Kathiawadi aayi, and they all did fabulous business. Toh aisa nahi hai ki humari filmein nahi chal rahi hai (“For the last two years, we’ve been fighting a pandemic. Many of our big films couldn’t get on the floors, or weren’t made at all. The big films that did come out had already been completed. Sooryavanshi was released, and at the beginning of this year, films like The Kashmir Files and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 worked well. Drishyam 2 has done well recently. It’s not like our films aren’t working. Gangubai Kathiawadi did really well.”).

He further addressed, “You will name six films from the south that have worked, and I have named six Bollywood films that have worked. The grass is always greener on the other side… Pathaan is coming, Tiger is coming, Rajkumar Hirani’s film is coming, Singham is coming, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s new film with Ranveer Singh is coming. We’ve entertained you for so many years, one bad year and you turn your back on us?”

Shetty said, “You’ve been watching the films of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn. You must have seen Amar Akbar Anthony, Don, Sholay, Khiladi. You must have seen Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. You also must have seen Singham and Sooryavanshi, Golmaal and Munna Bhai, Hera Pheri and Mother India, Mughal-e-Azam… One bad year and you’re turning your back? We made these films. Don’t take offence, but jahaaz mein jab chhed hota hai, choohe sabse pehle bhagte hain (rats run first when there’s a hole in the ship). We won’t let this ship sink, we’ll make it soar.”

Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma among others has released on December 23, 2022.

Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, Eros International and Parag Sanghvi have jointly announced the remake of Vishal Bhardwaj’s highly acclaimed Omkara and the sequel to the Akshay Kumar and John Abraham-starrer comic drama Desi Boyz.

Sharing the news, Anand Pandit said in a statement, “Yes, it is true that I have collaborated with Eros International & Parag Sanghvi to make a sequel and a re-make of two iconic films. Each of these two films Omkara and Desi Boyz were trailblazers in their respective eras for their storytelling, star cast, and music. They still remain unforgettable for their command over their respective genres. They have a cult following for different reasons and it seemed like the perfect time to revisit these hits and take their stories forward for a new generation of viewers.”

Omkara was Bhardwaj’s take on William Shakespeare’s classic drama Othello and it starred Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Konkona Sen Sharma and Bipasha Basu. Also starring Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh, Desi Boyz, on the other hand, was the directorial debut for David Dhawan’s son and Varun Dhawan’s brother Rohit Dhawan.

Sunil Lulla, Chairman, Eros Motion Pictures, said, “We are excited to collaborate with Anand Bhai to revive the magic of these films that have remained indelible in our memories. We have often wondered what happened to our favourite cinematic characters and if their journey took them in surprising directions. These films will answer many such questions. We will work together to ensure that the essence of these classics remains untouched even as we infuse new energy and fresh vibrance in them.”

“I am really thrilled to be a part of these amazing projects,” said Sanghvi. “It will be exciting to take the legacy of these classic hits forward. The partnership with Eros International is very strategic as Eros Motion Pictures is best placed is India to maximize distribution and marketing including on digital platforms globally.”

The makers of the two films haven’t revealed the star cast for the two films as of now.

Popular singer Usha Uthup recently performed at an event in Mumbai that dazzled media representatives. During the course of the joyous performance, Uthup engaged in a hearty conversation with the audience, playfully asking for suggestions that were best suited to play her in her biopic, to which the audience unanimously replied with Vidya Balan.

At a celebratory event in Mumbai recently, Ushu Uthup treated the audience with a rambunctious musical night, and in true Uthup style engaged in conversation with the audience. During one such conversation, she light-heartedly asked for suggestions amongst Bollywood actors who could essay her role, to which the majority was inclined towards Vidya Balan.

A source at the event shared, "It was a fun night with great music sung live by Usha Uthup, who is so widely regarded for her distinct style and illustrious career. It would be interesting to witness biographical documentation of her life, and when she asked who could play her part most aptly on screen, everyone in the crowd unanimously cheered for Vidya Balan, because given her talent and prowess, she can portray any role with utmost ease and perfection. Given the response, even Usha Uthup agreed to the opinion and expressed her excitement for Vidya Balan to portray her life on screen if ever an opportunity arises."

Earlier, Vidya Balan impressed the audience with biographical characters in The Dirty Picture, which is regarded as the turning point in her career, and Shakuntala Devi, which marks the historic decision of choosing the digital medium for entertainment releases in the lockdown. Vidya Balan has also played a pivotal part in 'Mission Magal', which was based on true events.

After marking a hat-trick with three successful OTT releases every year since the pandemic, Vidya Balan will be seen in Anu Menon's Neeyat and the Pratik Gandhi co-starrer Lovers, in 2023.

Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus is all set to be released tomorrow and as expected, its producers and distributors have gotten into screen-sharing issues. Avatar: The Way Of Water, which was released last week, is doing exceptionally well and its studio Disney is unwilling to let go of screens, leading to a deadlock between the two parties.

A source from the exhibition sector told Bollywood Hungama, “Most of the multiplexes have opened bookings for Cirkus. But several single-screens, especially the ones with 2k projection, are yet to open plans for next week as both studios are fighting over shows. What has compounded the problem is that several theatres had signed a two-week contract with Disney. So they are bound to play Avatar: The Way Of Water till Thursday, December 29. Thankfully, there is a clause in the contract that based on the Hollywood film’s performance on the weekdays and the drop it faces, exhibitors can accordingly screen Cirkus. But in many cinemas, Avatar: The Way Of Water has held very well.”

The source added, “Moreover, the advance sales of Cirkus are not up to the mark. Hence, theatres are encouraged to continue playing Avatar: The Way Of Water on all shows or most shows daily.”

Another source revealed, “In certain pockets, Avatar: The Way Of Water is not doing that well, especially in 2D cinemas. And not all theatres have signed the contract. Also, Avatar: The Way Of Water is playing only in the 2k screens. The non-2k screens will happily play Cirkus. Nevertheless, there are regions where Cirkus will face a tough time in getting the best shows. The unusually long run time of Avatar: The Way Of Water will also prove to be a challenge while sharing shows.”

This source also stated, “In certain circuits, Cirkus distributors are simply asking for 1 prime time show if theatres are playing three shows of film a day or 2 shows in case the theatres are playing 4 shows a day. Yet, the problem persists. Even if Avatar: The Way Of Water is not doing well, Disney is not relenting and insisting that these cinemas should continue playing their film in prime time shows.”

However, reports are also coming in that both studios have been arm-twisting theatre owners. Mumbai’s iconic theatre Maratha Mandir has scheduled Cirkus for 3:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Executive director of Gaiety-Galaxy and Maratha Mandir Manoj Desai is hoping to play Avatar: The Way Of Water at 6:00 PM.

Manoj Desai told Bollywood Hungama, “Both the distributors of Avatar: The Way Of Water as well as Cirkus are asking for all shows. I can only play 3 shows. Like PVR, I am not in a position to screen films at 12 in the midnight or 6 in the morning.” When asked for his next plan of action, he said, “As of now, I have not opened the booking for the 6:00 PM show. We’ll take a call on Thursday.”

An industry expert remarked, “Disney is simply taking revenge. Last year on Diwali, Reliance didn’t let Eternals get sufficient shows as they grabbed most of the shows for Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. At that time, the meeting went on till Thursday night. Sooryavanshi then was the hotter film and hence, Reliance had an upper hand. At present, Disney is in a strong position as Avatar: The Way Of Water has passed the weekday test and will also score on the weekends. Cirkus, meanwhile, don’t have strong ticket sales. I won’t be surprised if many exhibitors decide to prioritize Avatar: The Way Of Water. After all, it’s a Disney film and has given so much business to theatres this year through films like Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love And Thunder, Brahmastra, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Also, exhibitors suffered during Sooryavanshi and Eternals row. Kitnon ki Diwali kharab hui thi. However, the ideal scenario should be both studios should healthily divide shows. Let’s hope that better sense prevails.”

A popular filmmaker like Karan Johar, who loves to pep up his fashion, decided to also revamp his home and he had none other than his best friend and renowned interior designer Gauri Khan extending her support to him to achieve his dreams. In a recent video shared by the interior designer, who started off her own interior décor show, the filmmaker is seen gushing about how he loves the design and couldn’t stop heaping praises at the work of Gauri Khan.

In the past, Gauri Khan has revamped many of Karan Johar projects including the filmmaker’s nursery room for his twin kids, Yash and Roohi. In the recent video, there are montages of different rooms of Karan’s apartment including a balcony as Karan welcomes Gauri to his house saying, “Welcome to my Home Gauri.” He further went on to add how much he loved the apartment saying, “Love it love it.”

Coming to the post, Gauri Khan shared it on her Instagram page and captioned it saying, “One of my most cherished projects… this one was dear to my heart because of all that it brought with it… and of course, it represents the OG in the world of glamour - @karanjohar.” The filmmaker too dropped a comment on it adding, “My home is all YOU!! Couldn’t have asked for a more aesthetic force than you! The best you are Gauri! Love you!”

Not just Karan Johar, in the past, Gauri Khan has designed the living space of many celebrities including Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Manish Malhotra, among others.

On the other hand, talking about Karan Johar, the filmmaker is currently gearing up for the release of his next directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. While the director-producer has produced several films under the Dharma Productions banner, this film marks his seventh directorial (apart from the anthologies). It will feature Ranveer Singh as the leading man and Alia Bhatt as the leading lady. While the latter is currently on a maternity break, the release date of the film is yet to be announced.

Pooja Hegde has established herself in Bollywood in addition to making a name for herself in the Telugu film industry over the past few years. Known for her South Indian blockbusters like Duvvada Jagannadham, Aravinda, Sametha Veera Raghava and others, the diva is all set to star in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming comedy drama film Cirkus.

Ahead of the film’s release, the actress – along with her other co-stars – sat for an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama and shared the crazy experience of shooting a hectic song sequence for Cirkus. When asked about her craziest day on the set, Pooja shared, “I think for me it was the last song of the film because there was this one really long shot.

“It was the longest take,” she added. “You had to have like hit the mark before the camera reaches because there are two Ranveers. And it’s all in one shot and it would be like– we would be waiting, just when the camera pans to us we have to do our step. And if one person messed up, we have to start all over again. It was exhausting for him [Ranveer Singh] especially because he was dancing with both of us [Pooja and Jacqueline]. So, he was almost like in every frame.”

Speaking of Cirkus, Ranveer Singh will be seen in a dual role in this Rohit Shetty directorial. Besides Pooja Hegde, the comedy-drama also includes Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Tiku Talsania, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and Vrajesh Hirjee in pivotal roles.

Cirkus arrives in theatres on December 23.

Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, no relation to David Dhawan’s film of the same name released in 1998, is all set to be shot across several countries. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is cast in a special role. Janhvi Kapoor is cast as the female lead.

Speaking on the shooting plans, director Ali Abbas Zafar says, “It’s a big action comedy drama, set up at an international scale shot over four countries. We start shooting in January 2023 and will complete in April 2023.”

Considering the size of the production that sounds like cutting it really close. Says Ali, “Yes we have been prepping the film for over sixteen months now.” Ali Abbas Zafar is known for his Salman Khan starrers Sultan and Bharat and also the sensitive Netflix production Jogi.

Exactly four years ago, on December 21, 2018, Shah Rukh Khan’s last film as a leading actor, Zero, had released in cinemas. Its debacle compelled the superstar to take a break and introspect about what he wanted to do next. He finally signed Pathaan and it’s all set to release a month later. As a result, Shah Rukh has now gradually started promoting the film and fans are happy to see the actor displaying his wit and humour during the campaign. During a promotional shoot, SRK not only raised laughs but also made a significant comment about the YRF (Yash Raj Films) spy universe, of which Pathaan is a part.

Shah Rukh Khan appeared on a live show held during the FIFA World Cup 2022 final where he interacted with Sumedh Shinde, known for perfectly imitating celebrities. Sumedh pretended to be Aamir Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Hrithik Roshan and asked questions to Shah Rukh. The superstar funnily replied and pretended as if these actors actually asked him these questions.

Firstly, Sumedh Shinde turned into Aamir Khan and asked, “I do one film every five years. And this time, you’ll be seen back on the big screen. Are you following me?”. Shah Rukh replied, “If I had followed you and your speed, it would have taken me 20 years to do my next film! I am definitely not following you.”

Next, Sumedh, as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, asked, “I eat so much and yet, I am not able to build a toned body. How did you manage to do it in Pathaan?” Shah Rukh flashed his smile on hearing this question and answered, “Nawaz bhai, you mentioned that you eat a lot. Maine kuch nahin khaaya. Tum ulta kar rahe ho. If you eat less, you’ll build a better body and if you exercise, it’ll be even better.”

He added, “But Nawaz bhai, you are so talented that you don’t need to put in so much effort. Aap jaise ho, waise hi bade khoobsurat lagte hai. Mere jaise logon ko yeh sab koshish karni padti hai”

Finally, Sumedh Shinde masqueraded as Hrithik Roshan. He asked, “I just love Pathaan’s trailer. It’s so fantastic. It has action, entertainment…everything. Aur kuch hai usme?”. To which Shah Rukh Khan replied, “Duggu, if you are hearing this, the only thing missing is Hrithik. Hopefully, we’ll try to get him on board because that’ll make our film wonderful.”

Hrithik Roshan was seen as Kabir in War (2019), which also belongs to the YRF spy universe, apart from Tiger (Salman Khan). Salman Khan has a cameo in Pathaan and on SRK’s birthday last month, Bollywood Hungama reported about the theory going around that the ‘buddy’ Kabir mentioned in War might be none other than Pathaan.

Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and it releases on January 25, 2023.

A choker necklace with stones, dangling earrings, and a couple statement rings were worn with the strappy ensemble. Alaya exuded a refined, fashionable vibe. Now talking about being a part of this Govinda – Karisma Kapoor starrer rom-com Ranveer Singh was quoted saying to Pinkvilla about how he requested his friend and co-actor Varun Dhawan to not be a part of its remake, if he was ever offered one.

Varun Dhawan is known for his impeccable comic timing and his style is often compared to Govinda and Salman Khan. Talking about in these reports, Ranveer Singh said, “Varun Dhawan keeps doing these movies man, and I keep telling him, ‘Kuch Bhi Karna, Raja Babu maat karna’ (I want to do it).” In the same interview, Ranveer Singh confessed that Raja Babu and Judwaa are amongst some of his favourite Bollywood films, which he has seen many times.

Coming to his upcoming film Cirkus, Ranveer Singh will be seen in a dual role in this Rohit Shetty directorial. The film also stars Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Murali Sharma, Johnny Lever, among others and is slated to release on December 23.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who is gearing up for the release of his directorial debut, Ved, a Marathi movie, has unveiled the track 'Ved Lavlay' starring Salman Khan. The film will release in December 2022. Salman Khan previously made an appearance in Riteish Deshmukh's Marathi movie debut, Lai Bhaari.

Showing off their moves in the song, the track has been crooned by Vishal Dadlani and Ajay Gogavale. "Bhau is Back !! सलमान भाऊंनी वेड लावलय लावलय लावलय. Get ready to grove on this unstoppable madness of #VedLavlay with @beingsalmankhan," Riteish wrote on Twitter.

Back in June 2022, The actor thanked the superstar for being a part of the movie and penned an emotional note. Taking to Instagram, the actor wrote, “As we celebrate Ashadi Ekadashi, I wish you all a life filled with happiness, love, and prosperity. On this auspicious day it thrills me to say that with your kind blessings I have completed filming my first directorial Marathi movie ‘वेड’ (Madness, Crazy, Passion). This road had its own challenges but when you are surrounded with people that have your back, forward is the only way you can go.”

Riteish further wrote, “One such person is my dearest ‘Salman Bhau’ @beingsalmankhan, I have no words to express my gratitude for the grace and kindness he has shown towards Genelia and me. He was part of my debut marathi film ‘Lai Bhaari’ and now he is a part of my debut directorial film वेड. Love you Bhau.”

On the work front, Salman Khan will be next seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The film, which was set to release in theatres on December 30, will now hit the theatres on Eid 2023. The actor unveiled several looks from the movie and even a teaser video. The film stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari. The film is directed by Farhad Samji and bankrolled by Salman Khan Films.

He will also be seen in Tiger 3 which will hit the theatres on Diwali 2023. Directed by Maneesh Sharma and bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, the film marks his reunion with Katrina Kaif. The actor has a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan which arrives in theatres on January 25, 2023.
