The massive fan following of Vijay Deverakonda definitely left everyone surprised when the actor featured in Liger and went on to a city tour for promotions. While we have seen many of his talents, did you know that the actor a lot into music, especially hip hop music. Vijay is the brand ambassador of Breezer Vivid Shuffle and in a recent exclusive interaction with Bollywood Hungama, the South superstar spoke about what music means to him and his love and fondness for hip hop.

Speaking about how he likes to listen to music in his free time, Vijay said, “When I'm not shooting I'm working on for like three hours a day and those three hours I need music to motivate me. It helps me feel good and sometimes you resonate with the philosophy of the song. When I'm in my caravan when I'm at shoot, sometimes I listen to it. Music is beautiful, music is important.” Further speaking about hip hop he added, “It is the genre that I listen to the most. And if you go to my playlists, nine out of 10 songs will be from this genre. It’s the kind of music where you're drawn to a certain width and style of it. You have to listen to it first.”

Recalling how he got his hands on this kind of music, Vijay continued, “I don't remember if I heard it from friends, or I heard it on TV. I know that it happened around the age of 17-18 (years old). Because before that, I was in a boarding school where we didn't have access to the world as much we have now, it was like a very strict religious school. So when I moved back to Hyderabad, from the boarding school, I think I got exposed to hip hop. It was Eminem and Dr. Dre in those days and I just took to their style of music.”

Giving us a glimpse of his Hip Hop playlist, Vijay added, “I enjoy Black Eyed Peas. Eminem, Kanye. Travis Scott. Recently, a lot of Indian artists have been making their way into in to my playlist. The latest song that I'm tripping on a lot is a song called ‘Jalala’. It's on loop.” He also discussed how the influence of hip hop is present everywhere from clothes to dance. He shared, “Hip hop is freeing. You can express yourself in any way. In terms of fashion, before hip hop, you couldn't write stuff on clothes. There was never a culture of expressing yourself through text and graffiti on clothes or a formal shirt or suit. But once hip hop came into the scene, people started expressing their feelings through the clothes, colors, speech and even through bars and drawings. So it's a creative world where they express themselves freely and I'm attracted to it.”

The actor not only loves the music but also expressed his fondness towards the dance form. “I enjoy watching it a lot. I can spend hours watching it. I enjoy doing it also a little bit,” he said.

Speaking about his recent block party that he attended in Hyderabad, Vijay revealed that it was BVS aka Breezer Vivid Shuffle’s one of the first ground events after the pandemic. He said, “The last two years BVs was digital. And this is the first year we went ground. But it was time and I was excited about. And this time we could see everything happening but personally. So it was the first big on ground event because till then we were mostly digital, the last couple of seasons. I loved soaking in the atmosphere of the hip hop festival and seeing all the talent and meeting all the fans.”

Talking about how he loved his association with BVS, Vijay added, “I enjoy it. I'm happy with the Association. And that's why we are in two years three. And I look forward to a lot more. It's easy Association. It's a nice match.” Further elaborating on the campaign, Vijay explained, “We've already shot the majority of the marketing campaign and I had a lot of fun. It's always fun shooting the marketing campaign of Breezer.”

In the concluding statement, Vijay dedicated an important message to hip hop fans saying, “To express yourself confidently and, and put yourself in everything. We can very easily go into a sort of imitation. But I think the guys who stick the guys who you'll find a natural magnetic attraction towards are the ones who are true to everything. There's something very original about them. So be confident and just do original.”

The Razi actress said, “And in the best news of our lives, our baby is here, and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love, blessed and obsessed parents, love love love Ranbir and Alia,” in the announcement post.

The late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is all set to host the 95th Academy Awards in 2023, on March 12.

According to Variety, Kimmel’s return was announced Monday by Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, the executive producers and showrunners behind the Academy Awards. The Jimmy Kimmel Live host previously led the 2017 and 2018 telecasts.

“Being invited to host the Oscars for a third time is either a great honor or a trap,” Kimmel said in a statement. “Either way, I am grateful to the Academy for asking me so quickly after everyone good said no.” As per the report, Kimmel’s Oscars return comes as the host recently extended his deal to continue at ABC for at least three more years, through the 23rd season of his talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“We’re super thrilled to have Jimmy score his hat trick on this global stage,” Weiss and Kirshner said in a joint statement. “We know he will be funny and ready for anything.”  Prior to the Kimmel, Jerry Lewis, Steve Martin, Conrad Nagel, and David Niven have hosted the Oscar ceremony thrice.

Meanwhile, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences also announced the news on Monday, 7 November. Taking to social media, the official page for The Academy wrote, “Introducing your 95th Academy Awards host, Jimmy Kimmel. Welcome back! Tune into ABC to watch the Oscars LIVE on Sunday, March 12th at 8e/5p! #Oscars95.”

The report also shares that members will vote for this year’s slate of films from January 12-17, with the official nominations announcing on January 24. The 95th Oscars will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood on March 12, 2023 and will be televised live on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide.

Known for their quintessential commercial Bollywood films, Sunny Deol and Jackie Shroff are currently seen only in limited projects. While the latter recently had PhoneBhoot in which he played the antagonist, Sunny Deol was last seen this year in Chup – Revenge of an Artist, which featured him in the role of a cop. On the other hand, along with them was Sanjay Dutt, who gave one of the biggest hits this year with KGF Chapter 2. The actor also played an antagonist in the Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor starrer Shamshera. Now, we hear that these three 90s superstars are all set to come together in one film and it will also feature veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty.

Interestingly, the first look of the four stars was posted on social media earlier today. The look of Sanjay Dutt in this picture reminded us of him from his 2000 films like Kaante and Plan whereas Jackie featured in his 90s popular look, where he sported a small scarf tied around his neck. The look had Sunny donning a bearded, long hair look whereas Mithun Chakraborty was seen in a salt-n-pepper look. While the title of the film is kept under wraps, the makers revealed that it will be an action entertainer.

It will be directed by Vivek Chauhan who will be making his Bollywood directorial debut with this film. In the past, Vivek has previously worked as an assistant for shows and even films like Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The film will be produced by Ahmed Khan and Shaira Ahmed Khan in association with Zee Studios.

Rashmika Mandanna, who is gearing up for the release of Vijay starrer Varisu, recently took to her social media to speak about how trolls impacted her. The actress also spoke about how her statements were often misquoted and misrepresented in the media. Rashmika penned a long note about how she has been at the receiving end of a lot of hate, explaining how these things affected her.

The Pushpa actress shared a pic from a scenic backdrop, and wrote a long caption against having been a punching bag of the trolls at the beginning of her career and hoping to do the best kind of work that makes her and her audiences proud. In the caption, she wrote, "Hi so... A couple of things have been troubling me these last few days or weeks or months or maybe even years now and I think it’s time I address it. I am only speaking for myself – something I should have done years ago. I have been on the receiving end of a lot of hate ever since I started my career. Quite literally a punching bag for a lot of trolls and negativity out there.

She went on to add, “I know that the life I’ve chosen comes with a price– I understand that I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and certainly don’t expect to be loved by every single person out there. That doesn’t mean because you don’t approve of me you can spew negativity instead. Only I know the kind of work I put in, day in and day out to make you all happy. The happiness you feel from the work I put out is what I care about most. I really am trying the best I can to put out things that both you and I are proud of. It’s heart breaking and frankly quite demoralizing when I’m being ridiculed and mocked by the internet especially for things that I HAVE NOT SAID.”

She further shared, “I’ve found that bits of things I’ve said in interviews are being turned against me. False narratives being spread across the internet that can be very harmful to me and the relationships I have in or outside the industry. I welcome constructive criticism because that’s only going to push me to improve and do better. But what’s with the vile negativity and hate? For the longest time I’ve been told to ignore it. But it has only gotten worse. By addressing it, I’m not trying to win anyone over. I don’t want to feel closeted and forced to change as a human being because of this hate I keep receiving.”

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor took internet by storm over the weekend as the actress delivered their first child, a daughter in Mumbai. While not many from the family have opened up about the moment, since they are all busy prepping for the arrival of the baby, grandmother aka ‘did’ Neetu Kapoor, in her brief interaction with media, assured that the mother is fine and spoke about how adorable the little one. He also spoke about how it is a proud moment for his father Mahesh Bhatt. “He’s the proudest person right now. He couldn’t wait for the baby’s arrival. What has happened is that he has had three daughters (Pooja, Shaheen and Alia), so it is a déjà vu of sorts for him. He is comparing this to the time when his first daughter, Pooja was born,” said Rahul.

He also continued speaking about the kind of parents Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be adding, “Alia is very responsible, and I think Ranbir will be an extremely hands on dad.”

Alia Bhatt delivered a baby girl on November 6 at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai. The actress also posted a note on social media sharing the moment with her friends and fans saying, “And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here.. and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!! Love love love.”

Recently, his actor-filmmaker father Arbaaz spoke about his Bollywood ambitious, how Arhaan is keen on learning the practical side of filmmaking and about assisting his father in Patna Shukla.

In an interview with Puja Talwar, Arbaaz Khan spoke about his son’s keen interest in filmmaking and how he would assisting him in his forthcoming production “I am looking forward to him coming next month and joining me on my film because he wants to also learn the practical (side of filmmaking). In fact, before he went in for this semester, he was on Karan’s film also. He did almost 20-30 days of being an assistant (director), and just being on the sets. He is now excited about being on my film now, he will be coming in December… he will join me in the last stage of my film,”

Like a proud father, Arbaaz also expressed his pride in the way his son Arhaan Khan has grown up to be independent despite being brought up in a protected environment. He continued, “My boy (Arhaan) at this point is studying in a Long Island film school, he is in his second year, first semester. He is really enjoying his time there. I was a little sceptical, worried because sometimes coming from a protected atmosphere and then suddenly just getting thrown in the deep end and being told ‘now go and learn’ (can be a lot). He is loving what he is doing, he is making friends. He is liking his independence, he is learning. So, I am quite happy and proud of him,”

Arbaaz Khan is currently gearing up for the Sony LIV drama Tanav which is a remake of the popular Israeli drama Fauda. On the other hand, Patna Shukla is expected to be a social satire starring Raveena Tandon along wih Manav Vij, Satish Kaushik, among others.
