The film's story revolves around four ordinary women who come together for an extraordinary journey of emotions, adventures, and discovery on a bike trip from Delhi to Khardung La. It explores how this journey changed their destinies forever.

Netflix India secured two International Emmy nominations at the highly coveted 2023 International Emmys. The nominations include Best Performance by an Actress for Shefali Shah who reprised her role as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi aka Madam Sir in Season 2 of the crime-drama, Delhi Crime, and Vir Das' uproarious stand-up special, Vir Das: Landing, in the Comedy category. Meanwhile, Jim Sarbh has secured a coveted International Emmy nomination for his performance in the Sony LIV original series, Rocket Boys.

Delhi Crime Season 1 put India on the map with its historic first-ever win for the country in 2020 for Best Drama Series at the International Emmys. The crime drama has secured a second International Emmy nod this time around in the Best Actress category for the inimitable, Shefali Shah. Vir Das was previously recognized for his 2021 International Emmy nomination for his Netflix special, Vir Das: For India, and made a return with Vir Das: Landing in the Comedy category this year.

Talking about the International Emmy nomination, actress Shefali Shah said, "I can't find the words to describe what I'm feeling. Delhi Crime is such a special project to me. After the poster of Anil Kapoor as Ranbir’s father, the next character poster which was unveiled was of Bobby Deol – the villain of this underworld.

The poster, which was unveiled on September 26, features Bobby Deol in a well-suited avatar. However, the face is covered with blood splashes and it looks that the antagonist of the gangster world has unleashed the ‘Animal’ within. A source close to the actor opened up about his first look saying, “Bobby Deol is the enemy to Animal. He embodies a character who is both fire and calm, a juxtaposition that adds depth to his portrayal. Two days after tying the knot, the newlyweds Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha made their way to Delhi on Monday from Udaipur after getting married over the weekend. The actress and the Aam Aadmi Party leader had intimate wedding ceremonies in Udaipur which were attended by their families and close friends. It is reported they plan to host wedding receptions in Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.

As the wedding was all about celebrating the union of the two souls, the two of them arrived at the wedding venue on Kai Po Che’s 'Shubhaarambh' after their jaimala ceremony. The couple held on to a transparent umbrella as they grooved to the music and walked together. Raghav had his arms wrapped around his wife Parineeti.

For the ceremony, Parineeti chose a champagne lehenga with beautiful geometrical tone-on-tone embroidery for the wedding ceremony. The very big news about Prabhas’s Salaar clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki has taken the entertainment world by storm. Salaar, which is produced by Hombale Films, was earlier supposed to release on September 28. However, the makers decided to postpone the release and it wasn’t known whether the Prabhas starrer would release this year. But the decision of releasing Salaar along with a biggie like Dunki has come as a jolt.

Interestingly, this will be the second time that a film under the banner of Hombale Films will be clashing with a film not only starring Shah Rukh but also produced by his production house Red Chillies Entertainment. The last time it happened was on December 21, 2018 when Zero had clashed with Hombale Films’ KGF: Chapter 1, which starred Yash in the lead.

The result of the 2018 clash between both the banners was easily won by Hombale Films. KFG: Chapter 1 turned out to be a success while Zero became a box office debacle. It was after this film that SRK decided to take a take a break from films.

But the situation is way different now. During December 2018, SRK was going through a bad patch. However, right now he is in red hot form as his two films of 2023 – Pathaan and Jawan have turned out to become historic blockbusters. Prabhas, on the other hand, has had a series of non-starrers like Saaho, Radhe Shyam and Adipurush.

Directed by the visionary filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, this series whodunnit murder mystery showcases a unique connection to the series Fleabag. Wamiqa Gabbi's character, Charlie Chopra, shares a distinctive trait with Phoebe Waller-Bridge's iconic character in Fleabag by breaking the fourth wall, establishing a direct connection with the audience.

Fleabag, which gained immense popularity for its groundbreaking approach, featured Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character frequently breaking the fourth wall. This technique allowed the character to connect with viewers on a personal level, especially during awkward and realistic situations, bridging the gap between the reel and real worlds. Inspired by this revolutionary style, Wamiqa Gabbi has incorporated a similar approach in her portrayal of Charlie Chopra.

In Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley, Wamiqa's character engages in candid and direct conversations with the camera, effectively communicating with the audience on a one-on-one basis. This narrative technique added a layer of intimacy and authenticity to the storytelling.

Wamiqa Gabbi shared her enthusiasm for this unique approach, stating, “In our series, my character breaks the fourth wall to create an atmospheric connection with the audiences directly. It’s a creative process an idea to have Charlie as a character to pamper the viewers involved in her expedition to solve the murder mystery. That I feel was very intriguing as a process to do. The last time I do remember seeing and being greatly inspired where a similar approach was used but in a different genre was Fleabag where Pheobe’s character would stare into the camera to connect with the audiences during awkward situations. I did use this as a reference point for myself.”

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the series is expected to be a roller coaster ride filled with suspense, mystery, and unexpected twists.

On YRF’s Foundation Day, the birth anniversary of the legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra will reveal Tiger Ka Message, a video that is a precursor to the trailer of Tiger 3. This will also mark the start of the Tiger 3 promotional campaign as the film sets its eyes on the big Diwali release window to set cash counters ringing at the box office!

A trade source reveals, “This video is a prelude to the trailer of Tiger 3. It will have Salman Khan as the agent Tiger deliver an important message. It was in Pathaan that Aditya Chopra officially revealed that he was working on the YRF Spy Universe and unveiled the franchise logo. The crossover of characters from this ambitious spy universe also started with Pathaan, which saw a union of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in an adrenaline-pumping action sequence that celebrated the superstardom of these two cinematic icons.

The gourmet supermarket Food Hall was famous not just for its exotic and expansive variety of food but also because it was frequented by several celebrities. Bollywood actors and actresses like Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Disha Patani, Ananya Panday, Sunny Leone etc, have been clicked while entering or exiting Food Hall by the paparazzi and hence, its popularity reached far and wide. However, the 4-floor space, owned by superstar Salman Khan, was vacated by Food Hall some months ago. It has now been replaced by a new chain, Food Square.

Salman Khan bought the property at Linking Road, Santacruz West, Mumbai in 2012 for around Rs. 120 crores with the intention to use it for commercial purposes. It was leased out to Food Hall in July 2017. As per reports, it was Salman Khan’s father who did the paperwork. The reports at that time stated that the deal was signed for Rs. 80 lakhs per month as rent for a period of five years, after which it was going to increase to Rs. 89.60 lakhs per month. Future Group, currently debt-ridden, had also given a deposit of Rs. 2.40 crore to Salman Khan.

Once the five-year period was over, Salman Khan reportedly renewed the agreement with Food Hall for two years, in 2022. As per the conditions in the agreement, the retail giant was to pay him Rs. 89.60 lakhs per month for the first year and Rs. 94.08 lakhs per month in the second year.

Then, news came in March 2023 that Salman Khan wanted to terminate the agreement and seek back the property, supposedly due to non-payment of dues. The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) in April ruled in the star’s favour.

As per a report in The Economic Times, LandCraft Retail, which owns Food Square, will pay a rent of Rs. 1 crore per month to use the prime space. The story also states that just like Food Hall, Food Square has also tied up with Versace for its collection of cutleries, live stations by Entisi Chocolate, and Italian food at Oliveology.

On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of Tiger 3, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. It’ll release in cinemas on Diwali this year.

Just 30 days before the film's release, Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films announced that their action-packed thriller, Salaar, starring Prabhas, will not release on September 28 due to VFX issues. The announcement sent shock waves in the industry as the release was delayed after the commencement of advance bookings in some territories. And just days after the news of postponement broke out in the media, Bollywood Hungama has got its hands on some scoop.

According to sources close to the development, Prashanth Neel and co. have silently reunited to reshoot some portions of Salaar, which includes high points of the film's climax. "The idea is to better the product for the biggest cinematic experience. Prashanth Neel wants to outdo his previous work and when he watched the film in one go recently, he felt there was still a lot of scope of improvement. Prashanth is a taskmaster. He got support from his producers, who took the risk of delaying the film and increasing the budget to creatively satisfy the director," revealed a very close source.

The reshoot aspect has been taken positively by all the stakeholders. "Given the money at which film is bought across the market, it's always good to come up with a polished and complete product. When there is scope for improvement, it's always nice to improve. The idea of this short reshoot is to enhance the cinematic experience for the viewers," the source further told us.

That's not all, as according to the source, VFX is also a reason for the delay in Salaar. "Approx. 600 vfx shots are yet to be received by the team of Salaar, and to date, that's pending. Basically, the delay has come for multiple reasons, which include delay in VFX output and some reshoots in the climax," the source shared with us.

A new release date of Salaar will be announced once the VFX shots are received and Prashanth Neel stitches the reshot portions in the final edit.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Karan Johar had said that with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the positive reactions have been magnanimous. “But in this case, there's been just love it. I can't explain it. I'm kind of like, ‘Oh, my God!’, and I don't think a single film of mine has got this kind of critical acclaim. And all of us filmmakers, honestly, I want to say, the time you don't get the reviews, you say reviews don't matter. It's just a defense mechanism that all directors, filmmakers, producers, actors, we all say it doesn't matter, the audience is god. And it's all very well, but inside, everyone seeks that critical validation and gets it right. It made me very happy. I read every line of every review and I was like, ‘Wow, oh, even he liked it. She liked it. He liked it.’ I'm like, this is amazing. It's never happened to me. The film has got a resounding critical reaction as well, and I'm so heartened by the fact that the aspects of the film that came from within have resonated. And also columns have been written on the era and the subversive messaging. Well, it's not that I set out to make a film that has a broad messaging. I wanted it to come through within the narrative of an entertainer. That was very critical, but I feel all the things very strongly, but I felt I didn't want to make a film that was preaching. That was kind of like I wanted it to come through very organically, which is what I think has been achieved,” he said.

The Sher Baccha of India’s Best Dancer 3’, Anjali Mamgai from Uttrakhand, has been an inspiration to many as she has been supporting her family since the age of 13, while also following her passion for dance. Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has extended help to the families affected by the floods, landslides and more in the Himachal Pradesh disaster. The actor has donated Rs. 25 lakhs to the Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 for those who are currently facing difficulties amid the crisis.

As per a report in ANI, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu thanked Aamir Khan for his gesture. He said that this will “undoubtedly assist in relief and rehabilitation efforts aimed at helping the affected families to recover from the aftermath of the disaster.” He added that this gesture by Aamir Khan will make “a remarkable difference in the lives of those who have been adversely affected by monsoon fury in the State.” Himachal Pradesh has faced persistent rainfall due to which places have faced floods, landslides and cloudbursts.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is co-producing Laapataa Ladies with Jio Studios which was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8. Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in Bloody Daddy, recently opened up about his predicament on balancing genres after his debut. In a recent chat, he said that he fought to wear glasses in his blockbuster Jab We Met, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan.

In an interview with Film Companion, Shahid said, “I fought with everybody. I was like, ‘I want to wear glasses for this,’ and everybody’s like, ‘Are you mad?’ Hero glasses thodi pehenta hai? Tu gaana kaise gayega? (Hero does not wear glasses, how will you sing?).”

Shahid explained it to the makers that he would remove his glasses during the song sequences. However, he'd get a response like, “Are you mad? This is a love story.”

The actor further said, “I felt like that will at least help people see me in a different way. Otherwise, I was always looking the same in every film of mine. And then I started making much bigger physical changes because it kind of empowered me to make more decisions. Like Kaminey was my first complete transition from what people were used to seeing me – usually clean-shaven and very boyish.”

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in Bloody Daddy, recently revealed that he worked on Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider for free as no one could afford him. As the makers were worried whether the project would land at all, he let go of the fees.

In an interview with Film Companion, Shahid said that the team could not afford him. He said, “They couldn’t afford me. They said if they had to pay me, then the budget of the film wouldn’t get sanctioned because it was a very experimental subject. They really didn’t know if it would land at all but it was a very compelling kind of product to make and so I said, ‘Yeah, I will do it for free’.”

When asked if he did any other movies for free, Shahid said, “It was only time I did it. It just happened at that time. I said, ‘Yeah let’s do it, it’s okay’.” He added, “Ghar bhi chalana hai (I have to take care of my household as well).”

Haider is Vishal Bhardwaj's adaptation of William Shakespeare’s "Hamlet". The official synopsis reads, "Haider - a young man returns home to Kashmir on receiving news of his father’s disappearance. Not only does he learn that security forces have detained his father for harbouring militants, but that his mother is in a relationship with his very own uncle. Intense drama follows between mother and son as both struggle to come to terms with the news of his father’s death. Soon Haider learns that his uncle is responsible for the gruesome murder, what follows is his journey to avenge his father’s death."

Reuniting with Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, this marks her third collaboration with them. It is being reported that the actress will be starting the shoot on Saturday, September 23.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “Kareena teams up with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn again for the third part of the Singham franchise, and she will join the sets tomorrow (September 23). It's yet unclear whether she will reprise her role of Avni Kamat from the previous part or play an entirely new character, but she will shoot for some romantic and talkie portions with Ajay in this schedule. Kareena shares a familial bond with Ajay and is very excited to get back on set with him again after a nine-year hiatus.”

A few days ago, Ajay Devgn kicked off the shoot with Ranveer Singh, who reprises the role of Simmba. While Akshay Kumar’s character Sooryavanshi was missing, he is expected to join the shoot soon. Deepika Padukone will be a part of the universe followed by which she will have her standalone movie.

Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar and her co-stars from her upcoming film Thank You For Coming visited the New Parliament Building in New Delhi on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. They were accompanied by Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur.

The visit came on the same day that the Women's Reservation Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha. The bill seeks to reserve 33% of seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women.

Pednekar and her co-stars, Shehnaaz Gill, Shibani Bedi, and Dolly Singh, were dressed in traditional attire for their visit. They took a tour of the building and admired the artwork and architecture, which depicts India's ancient cultural heritage. Pednekar, Bedi, and Singh are all known for speaking out on feminist and women-centric issues.

On the work front, Parineeti Chopra is reuniting with Akshay Kumar for bringing to life the real-life story of the brave mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill in Mission Raniganj. The actress opened up about the film and her past work as a part of the promotions of the movie, before taking off to Delhi for her marriage with politician Raghav Chadha. During the same, the actress discussed about the YRF romantic drama Meri Pyaari Bindu where she co-starred opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.

Meri Pyaari Bindu, which did receive love for its music, failed to entice the theatre-going audience and failed to get a good response at the box office. However, over time, the film received a lot of love from Bollywood romance drama fans. Opening about the wrong timing of the film, Parineeti told in an interview with Radio Nasha, “Meri Pyaari Bindu released alongside Baahubali and hence did not get love then. But that’s the film that I get the most love for today. And that’s what matters. There are many films like this that don’t make the numbers at that time, but they always find you.”

She further added, “Every film gets its own life somehow. I feel, somewhere or the other, the audience will find it. I don’t think any film goes unnoticed, whether good or bad. There are some films that will not do well at the box office. But for years, people will watch it and it’ll become a cult film. On the other hand, there are films that do really well because they came at the right time but were probably not the best piece of cinema.”

Meri Pyaari Bindu featured Parineeti Chopra in the titular character of Bindu, an aspiring singer. On the other hand, her neighbour Abhimanyu Roy played by Ayushmann Khurrana, falls in love with her and the film traces their journey of friendship, love, breakup, and commitment. The film released on May 12, 2017 whereas a couple of weeks before that, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia starrer Baahubali: The Conclusion hit the big screens.

A day after reports suggested that filmmaker SS Rajamouli was set for his next big project, it turns out that he is presenting a biopic on the Father of Indian Cinema Dadasaheb Phalke. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Tuesday, the filmmaker took to his social media to announce Made In India, which will be presented by him and produced by Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya, along with Varun Gupta. The film will be directed by Jawaani Jaaneman fame Nitin Kakkar.

The announcement teaser of Made in India had a tagline which said, “Indian cinema has witnessed many biopics. This is a biopic of Indian cinema. SS Rajamouli presents to you, Made in India.” Rajamouli wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “When I first heard the narration, it moved me emotionally like nothing else. Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal is promoting his upcoming movie The Great Indian Family in which he plays the role of a middle-class man. He, however, played a similar role in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke as well in June 2023. In terms of privilege, in a recent conversation, the actor was asked about whether actors often try to look relatable in order to avoid backlash from the audience.

In a chat with Instant Bollywood, Vicky Kaushal said, “No, I don’t think so. I have many friends from the industry… Right now, the thing is that the audience can see through it. How long can you keep the pretence on? A day? Two days? Four weeks, a year? And it’s a very tiring process also.”

He added, “If you pretend to be someone you’re not, that’s what they hate. If you’re true to yourself, and that’s what you present, nobody will have (any complaints). That’s what I believe. That’s what I, as an audience member, always relate to. I don’t think about whether someone is actually middle class or not. If someone isn’t genuine, even if they’re a middle-class person, then you can’t relate with them.”

Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming theatrical release is a family entertainer, The Great Indian Family (TGIF). Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film is set to release on September 22, 2023. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, like every year, rang in the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi with blessings of Ganpati Bappa. The actor brought home the idol of the lord and shared the photo on his social media.
