Being one of the most loved telly couples, TejRan has been setting relationship goals ever since their love blossomed in the midst of the reality show Bigg Boss. Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash, who are currently dabbling between projects, do not refrain from expressing their love for each other on multiple occasions. In fact, recently, the couple even took off on a Valentine’s Day trip together before Tejasswi decided to go on a travel journey and Karan decided to focus on his upcoming show Love Adhurra.

While promoting this upcoming romantic web-series with co-star Erica Fernandez, Karan Kundrra opened up about his personal relationship and marriage plans. The ongoing series talks about love and betrayal due to which the onscreen jodi were seen discussing the concept of love for them. As they broached this subject, the two actors were also asked to write a matrimony profile as a part of a fun activity during their interview with Indian Express. Erica commented about her co-star’s marriage plans adding, “Karan is never looking to get married.” However the latter was quick to respond and said, “Waqt badalte der nahi lagta (It doesn’t take long for times to change). My interviews are as misleading as the show’s trailer.”

In the same breath, he also addressed the breakup rumours that were doing the rounds last year when he and Tejasswi Prakash were not seen together a few times. Speaking about how as actors they deal with the paparazzi and media constantly scrutinizing them, Karan shared, “As a couple we have jobs, and some people don’t. It doesn’t affect me, because we are sitting together and people are saying we broke up, or she got married to someone else. Some people are just too free.”

In the past, Karan Kundrra has expressed his desire to marry Tejasswi Prakash but the couple as of now, are concentrating on their careers. So TejRan fans will possibly have to wait a bit longer before they make their big announcement.

Alia Bhatt not only received love and appreciation from audience but also critics post her performance of a feisty girlfriend of a struggling rapper in Gully Boy. While she also received accolades, co-actress Kangana Ranaut had slammed her calling the appreciation she garnered as a part of ‘nepotism’. However, Randeep Hooda, who has worked with both actresses, took a stand for Alia and even appreciated her for taking the criticism coming her way in her stride.

In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Randeep Hooda opened up about taking a stand for her and maintained that he decided to do that because he felt she was being unfairly targeted. He said, “While making Highway, I developed a spiritual bond with Alia. I don’t know if it’s the same for her. That’s up to her. I can only speak for myself. I have seen that she has always tried to do new things. I stood up for her genuinely because she was unfairly targeted. To target your fellow actors or your colleagues or your fraternity over things that you feel you did not get, even though I think you did got a lot from this industry, it’s just unbecoming. I felt that I should do it and I did it.”

Bollywood actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana, known both for his blockbuster movies and chartbusting songs, has signed a global recording deal with the popular music label Warner Music India, in the next chapter of his artist career. Signing with Warner Music India will enable Khurrana to access the label's global ecosystem, helping him connect with audiences and artists beyond India’s borders. The first release from this partnership is expected to drop next month.

The Great Indian Kapil Show brought back Kapil Sharma alongside his gang of friends Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur and Archana Puran Singh with a whole lot more up their sleeves. The first guests on the show were Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni as the episode aired on Netflix on March 30. In the premiere episode, Ranbir revealed that his sister Riddhima was a huge fan of Salman Khan growing up and even had his posters on her room’s walls. And as it turns out, Salman volunteered to be a bartender at her wedding in 2006.

When Kapil Sharma wanted to revisit Salman Khan bartending at Riddhima’s wedding, Neetu Kapoor recalled, “Salman Khan serving liquor to everybody! Logon ne aa ke bola ki khatam ho raha hai sab kuch, tequila khatam ho raha hai. Rishi bole ki main toh itne leke aaya tha, khatam kaise ho sakta hai. Dekha toh jitne aaye the guests woh phenk rahe the aur le rahe the because Salman Khan was serving. Then Rishi went to him and said, ‘Ja tu, nikal wahan se’. (People came to us and complained that the alcohol is over. Rishi Kapoor couldn't believe it since he brought a lot of booze. It turned out that guests were throwing away their liquor only so that Salman Khan can serve them more. Rishi then went to him and shooed him off).”

The much-awaited filming of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is finally underway. Following a brief delay to rework on the outfits, the production has now commenced at Film City in Mumbai. After meticulous planning and adjustments, the team initiated the crucial phase of look tests with the updated costumes. In parallel, the production team was scouting for body doubles to complement the performances of Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, who are set to embody the iconic characters of Lord Ram and Raavan respectively.

With the commencement of shooting today, April 2, 2024, anticipation among fans and the industry alike reaches new heights. Leading lady Sai Pallavi joins the ensemble, adding further excitement to the project. According to Mid-day, a source revealed, “After the body doubles are locked, they will be called throughout the week to shoot stunts against the green screen. On Monday, the extras were also called on the set to prep for the crowd sequences. Over the next few days, the team will shoot several elaborate scenes featuring a crowd. Nitesh wants everything perfect down to the last detail for his magnum opus.”

Previously, a source told Bollywood Hungama, “As we all know, Ramayana is going to be a three-part film. What many are not aware of is how the makers have divided the story for each part. The first part will introduce Lord Rama, his family at Ayodhya, his marriage with Sita and their 14-year vanvas. The first part is expected to end with the kidnapping of Sita by Ravana. The makers don’t want to rush the story and want to narrate the epic in an entertaining, sensitive and cinematic manner.”

The source added, “The second part is expected to depict Lord Ram and Lakshman meeting Lord Hanuman and the Vaanar Sena, the obstacles they face and finally the construction of Ram Setu. The third part is expected to be about the war between the Vaanar Sena and Ravana’s army, Ravana’s defeat and Lord Ram and Sita’s grand return to Ayodhya.”

The makers have extensively researched and worked on pre-production and if reports are to be believed, Ramayana will be announced on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, that is, on April 17, 2024. Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, his first release of 2024. The star is known to have multiple releases in a year and this year will be no exception. One of his exciting upcoming releases is the C Sankaran Nair biopic. It has been reported that the period drama, which went on floors last year, has been titled The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair. Some even say that it’s called Shankara. Bollywood Hungama has learned about the final approved title of this film, produced by Karan Johar.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The film is indeed being titled Shankara. After a lot of discussions, everyone came to the conclusion that Shankara is apt for this film and also has a Pan-India appeal. This name will be officially mentioned when the next press release or asset of the film is unveiled by the makers.”

Besides Akshay Kumar, Shankara also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, and it chronicles the lawyer’s battle against the British Raj to uncover Punjab Lieutenant Governor Michael O’Dwyer’s role in the ghastly 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It is based on the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’, written by Chettur Sankaran Nair’s great-grandson Raghu Palat and wife Pushpa Palat.

During the announcement of the film, Karan Johar said, “I am extremely excited and honoured to back the film that will unravel the legendary courtroom battle that Sankaran Nair fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Sankaran Nair’s bravery ignited the freedom struggle across the country and is a testament to the power of fighting for the truth.” Shankara will be helmed by debutant director Karan Singh Tyagi

Recently, Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke with Alexx O’Nell, who features in Shankara. He revealed that a major chunk of the shoot of the film is still pending. It now remains to be seen whether or not it makes it to cinemas this year.

Sara Ali Khan, who recently had twin releases like Murder Mubarak and Ae Watan Mere Watan, was seen showcasing her humanitarian side. A video of the actress helping some underprivileged people living down the streets have gone viral. Paparazzi accounts have shared it on social media where the actress has also requested them to refrain from capturing her.

In this video, Sara Ali Khan is seen distributing food to the people seated outside Shani temple, near the famous Isckon temple in Juhu, suburban Mumbai on Saturday. The actress was seen interacting with them and even giving out packets to everyone. While she was being captured by paparazzi, the people who she was distributing food to, were quite uncomfortable with the cameras and expressed the same. Coming in support of them, Khan too requested the camera personnel to refrain from shooting and also pleaded them to keep their cameras away. Once she finished distributing, she was seen making her way to the car before taking off home.

Many of her fans took to social media to appreciate her kind gesture and some of them were even pissed with the paparazzi for not abiding by her request of putting away their cameras. “One of the few new generation girl who is rooted in humanity and is absolutely humble. That's respectable!” appreciated a user whereas one of them looked quite angry about the paps not listening to Sara and added, “She is right if she is helping anyone she knew that it shouldn't not be captured as she is not comfortable”. Yet another fan also voiced out a similar opinion and wrote, “She's requesting to not shoot video but look tumne shoot bi ki aur upload bi kr di?? have sharam or not??”

On the work front, Sara Ali Khan is currently expected to be a part of Anurag Basu’s directorial Metro In Dino where she will be seen alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. Earlier this year, the trailer of Monkey Man dropped on the internet and it created a sensation across the world. It is directed by Dev Patel of Slumdog Millionaire (2009) fame and he also features in the lead role. The action and violence in the trailer and also the treatment caught the attention and generated tremendous excitement. It had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 11 where it received a long standing ovation. The reaction at this film festival further added to the hype. It is all set to release in the USA and other major territories on April 5. In India, it was scheduled to release on April 19. But in the last few days, the assets dropped by Universal Pictures India on social media have stopped carrying the release date. Instead, 'Coming soon' is mentioned. Even on the popular ticket app BookMyShow, the release date of the film has vanished. It has led to fears that the film might not make it on April 19.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The studio wants to bring Monkey Man to theatres in India on April 19. But it all depends on its clearance by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film has excessive violence and there are fears that some of its aspects might hurt the sentiments of the section of the audience. Hence, the Censor process is expected to take time.”

The source added, “Also, the Universal Studios team in the USA also needs to permit the changes asked by the CBFC. Once they approve, the local team will carry out the changes and only then, the team will announce the release date.”

The source further said, “If the process gets completed on time, Monkey Man will be released in India on April 19. Or else, it’ll release a week later, on April 26. A clearer picture will emerge in a week’s time, hopefully.”

Monkey Man is the story of a young man who unleashes a campaign of vengeance against the corrupt leaders who murdered his mother. Besides Dev Patel, it also stars Sharlto Copley, Sikandar Kher, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vipin Sharma and others. It was earlier scheduled to premiere directly on Netflix. But later, Jordan Peele of Get Out (2017) and Us (2019) fame saw the film and he acquired it with the belief that the film deserves a theatrical release.

Parineeti Chopra will be seen in one-of-a-kind drama in Amar Singh Chamkila, which is a biopic on the 70s Punjabi singer by the same name. The film traces the rise and later, the murder of the musician who created history in North India with his music. With Diljit Dosanjh playing the titular character, Parineeti will be seen as his wife Amarjot in the Netflix film. Sharing her experience of working with the team which also includes Imtiaz Ali and A R Rahman, Parineeti took to social media to express her gratitude.

In her recent post shared on her Instagram feed, Parineeti Chopra posted several BTS moments from her film Amar Singh Chamkila which saw some unseen photos of her with co-star Diljit Dosanjh, director of the film, Imtiaz Ali, among others. Also penning a note of gratitude, she opened up about the great qualities of the team she worked with and said, “I’m immensely thankful for Chamkila @imtiazaliofficial sir, your direction was unparalleled; you truly led the ship with finesse. Your vision and passion set a new standard.” She continued, “@diljitdosanjh, you were the perfect co-star, making every moment on set enjoyable and effortless. @arrahman sir, being musically directed by you - a thing of dreams. And the entire team who made this film” and also added twin heart emojis.

She went on to add, “Shooting this film has topped any other film experience because I got to sing and act - 2 things I’m the most passionate about, so thank you” and concluded it with folding hands and heart emojis.

Kareena will be seen in another, very powerful role as Yash’s sister. A source clued in to the development, “It is basically a brother-sister story with Yash and Kareena playing inseparable siblings. The director was keen to have Kareena on board in Toxic from the inception of the project. Negotiations were on. Everyone presumed Kareena was being brought into the project as Yash’s leading lady when in fact Kareena was offered a far more powerful role. She has never been seen like this before.”

Kriti Kharbanda got highly emotional after her husband Pulkit Samrat decided to do ‘pehli rasoi’ at her family’s place in Bengaluru. The actress mentioned that her husband wanted to break this age-old patriarchal ritual of women cooking for in-laws and decided to do the same for her and his in-laws at actress’ place in Bengaluru. At the film's premiere, held on Thursday, Salman Khan, who starred alongside Satish Kaushik in several films, including Satish's directorial Tere Naam in 2003, got emotional as he remembered the late actor.

Salman expressed that Satish was very close to his family. “Humare toh bade hi close the woh. Aur sabse amazing cheez yeh hai ki unhone apni har… joh joh project pe woh kaam kar rahe the, woh sab unhone khatam kar diye. Every project of his… Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan mein bhi the voh (We were very close. The best thing was that he finished every project of his. Production giant T-Series has now responded to Reliance Entertainment's claims about non-payment of dues and called it false and bogus. In a public notice, Reliance Entertainment asked T-Series to cough up Rs. 397 crore. However, T-Series, in a statement, said that Reliance Entertainment is violating two judgements of Bombay High Court.

In an official statement, T-Series said, “The claims made by Reliance in its public notice are totally false & bogus. Reliance’s claims are also in clear violation of two judgements of the Hon'ble Bombay High Court passed in June 2023 and December 2023. In the first judgment delivered in June 2023, the Hon'ble Bombay High Court has clearly held in favour of Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd (T-Series) - that the long form agreement is valid and subsisting and T-Series shall continue to have the copyright and the right to exploit and distribute the works, which have been listed by Reliance in their public notice. In the second judgement of December 2023 the Hon'ble Bombay High Court has clearly held that the statements of accounts given by T-Series to Reliance are valid and are in accordance with the Long Form Agreement..”

The statement further read, “Thus any claims made by Reliance now in respect of the non-payment of dues by T-series are in complete contradiction to the two court orders, completely bogus, without any basis and no amounts are due and payable by T-Series. All amounts under the Long Form Agreement stand paid to Reliance. Even recently T-Series had issued a response clearly bringing out the aforesaid facts to Reliance. It is thus indeed shocking that Reliance has chosen to issue the said notice and not even respect Court orders..”

It further read, “Also, besides being in violation of the aforesaid court orders, the said notice appears to be a desperate attempt by Reliance to obfuscate issues and wriggle out of its own liabilities and obligations under the Long form Agreement and the public notice has been issued with a malafide intent to defame T-Series. Filmmaker extraordinaire Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to make his digital debut with the much-anticipated web series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. At the special event on Wednesday, it was confirmed that the series is premiering on streaming giant Netflix on May 1. Since its inception, Amazon Prime Video in India has delivered several memorable shows, but Panchayat stands out. The show, set in a small village in North India, is loved for its simplicity, humour, performances and also because it appeals to audiences of all ages. The first season dropped in 2020 and became a huge hit. The second season which came in 2022 was as exciting and entertaining as part 1 and also got huge viewership. It turns out that the character of Ganesh (Aasif Khan) returns in Season 3. Ganesh was seen in Season 1 in an interesting cameo of a disgruntled groom who gets into a fight with Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar), the lead of the series and secretary of Phulera Gram Panchayat. Ganesh’s character has become immortal in the world of memes, thanks to the dialogue ‘Gazab beizzati hai’. The teaser of Panchayat’s Season 3 depicts that Abhishek has been transferred to a different village. Ganesh, meanwhile, takes his place as the ‘sachiv’ (secretary) at the Gram Panchayat at Phulera. Though Ganesh is married to Raveena, the daughter of Phluera resident Parmeshwar (Shrikant Verma), the former didn’t have a good experience in the village on the day of his marriage. In 2023, it was reported that Rakesh Roshan hinted Krrish 4 wouldn't begin production until the end of 2024. Now, Mid-day reveals that both Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan are gearing up to kickstart the project sooner than expected.

According to sources close to the production, Hrithik Roshan will be actively involved in conceptualizing the next installment of the superhero saga while simultaneously shooting for War 2. Collaborating with his father and their in-house team of writers, the aim is to solidify the primary idea for Krrish 4 this year. According to the publication, a source said, “The project is currently in development. Hrithik has scheduled brainstorming sessions throughout the summer. Both Rakesh and he wants to deliver a story that will exceed expectations.”

While details about the plot remain under wraps, earlier rumours suggested that Krrish 4 could explore the realm of intergalactic travel. With plans to lock in the primary concept in 2024, the stage will be set for the commencement of shooting in 2025. The source added, “The team has explored and subsequently shot down a lot of ideas. Speaking of the film, several reports have been claiming that Yash will be essaying the role of Raavan, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, whereas other names and characters which have been doing the rounds include Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanaka, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Amitabh Bachchan as Dashrath Maharaja, among others. Names of Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi were also associated with the film wherein it was being said that they were being approached for the role of Kumbhakaran and Vibhishan.

Not too long ago, some reports claimed that Nitesh Tiwari is keen on making the official announcement of the film on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. In another news, it was being said that the film will not be kick starting any time soon. In an exclusive Bollywood Hungama report, a source was quoted saying, “The project is on. But not this year. There are too many internal issues to be resolved.”

For the unversed, apart from throwing colors on each other, Holi celebrations also include the ‘Dahan’ which is held a day prior to the festival of colors, as it signifies the victory of good over evil. Many celebrities often attend this bonfire which is hosted in societies and even on the streets of the country as a tradition. The Bachchans hosted a private Holika Dahan celebration at their residence where the bonfire was held in their lawn. Abhishek Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan among others were a part of it.

Navya Naveli Nanda took to social media to share photos from the Holika Dahan where they also apply colors to each other as a part of the festivities. Sharing photos of the bonfire as well as a few candid moments wherein she is applying color to her uncle Abhishek Bachchan, one where her beloved ‘mamu’ is seen inspecting the bonfire, among others. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar dropped a heart showcasing her love for these pictures, whereas actor-dancer Naved Jafri also extended his Holi wishes to the family.

The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has come up with its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Among them are two names from the entertainment industry in the form of Kangana Ranaut and Arun Govil. They will be fighting from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh and Meerut constituency in Uttar Pradesh respectively.

Kangana has been a vocal supporter of BJP and its governance for years. Arun Govil, who is already a member of the BJP since 2021, is best known for his portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s classic television show Ramayan on Doordarshan. He has also acted in a number of Hindi movies. He will next be seen in the role of Lord Vitthal in the Hindi movie Sant Tukaram, where well-known Marathi actor Subodh Bhave will be the titular role.

Kangana, on the other hand, will next be seen in the role of India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie Emergency, which she has also directed.

Ever since the release, the Kunal Kemmu directorial has glued the audiences to it, offering them a box of complete laughter and madness in the cinemas. In a recent chat with Tanmay Bhat during Murder Mubarak promotions on Netflix, Vijay recalled texting Tamannaah after wrapping Lust Stories 2.

During the conversation, Vijay said, “Lust Stories was a cupid but it wasn’t during the shoot that we started dating. There was discussion of a wrap party happening but it never happened. So, we wanted to have a wrap party and so only four people showed up... That day I feel like I told her that I want to hang out more with you. The election season is here and like every time, the political parties are attempting to get film stars to stand for elections to increase their chances of winning. It has come to light that the chief minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, is in talks with actor Govinda to be Shiv Sena’s candidate from the Mumbai North West seat. Meanwhile, there are reports that Congress is wooing actress Swara Bhasker to fight the elections.

There are conflicting reports on who was the first one to approach. Some reports claim that Eknath Shinde made the first move and met Govinda around 5 days ago while according to certain reports, Govinda called the CM on Friday, March 22, and asked for a ticket. It is also said that the other Shiv Sena faction, led by Uddhav Thackeray, has decided to give the ticket of the same constituency to Amol Kirtikar. Amol’s father, Gajanan Kirtikar, a sitting MP, is with Shinde Sena and he doesn’t want to fight against his son. Hence, Eknath Shinde zeroed in on Govinda.

The decision of Govinda to enter politics yet again has caused a stir in political as well as Bollywood circles. In 2004, Govinda won from Mumbai North on a Congress ticket, breaking BJP’s five-term streak. However, the actor was criticized for not giving enough time to his political career.

In an interview with Bombay Times in December 2016, Govinda said, “I have no regrets about my career in films, but I regret joining politics. I didn't get a film for 10 years. I planned to leave politics while I was still a part of it, but I completed my term and never looked back.” Last year, a fake tweet, over a political row in Haryana, attributed to him went viral. That’s when the actor claimed, “It’s been 18 years since I quit politics, I won’t slyly tweet to get back into it.”

On the other hand, Swara Bhasker, known for her acting chops as well as her activism, is said to be one of the candidates that Congress is considering for the Mumbai North Central seat. Reports also state that the other candidate who might get the Congress ticket for the same seat is veteran actor Raj Babbar.

Directed by Abbas Mustan, Baazigar is a story about Madan Chopra, passionate about racing, befriends Vicky Malhotra after his final win. Vicky falls for Madan's daughter Priya, much to Madan's joy, leading to plans for their marriage. Tragedy strikes when Seema, Madan's other daughter, allegedly dies by suicide. Eager to avoid scandal, Madan wants to close the case, but Seema's college friend, Inspector Karan, suspects foul play. Together, they uncover a sinister plot that threatens Madan and others. The comic caper Madgaon Express released today in cinemas and has got positive reviews from a majority of critics. The film is significant as it marks the directorial debut of actor Kunal Kemmu. Starring Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, Avinash Tiwary and Nora Fatehi, the names mentioned under ‘Special Thanks’ at the beginning of the film are sure to catch attention. This is because superstar Salman Khan and prominent filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap and Rohit Shetty have been thanked by the makers. It made many people curious since the trio are not associated with the film in any capacity.

Bollywood Hungama has learned the reason behind their mention. A source told us, “In the film, Dodo (Divyenndu) uses a photo editing software to pretend to the world that he keeps bumping into famous celebs. In one scene in the film, he’s seen ‘posing’ with superstar Salman Khan. In another shot, he puts a picture of him posing with Anurag Kashyap on social media. Kunal took permission from both of them and they were gracious enough to allow it. In the film, Anurag is even seen commenting on the photoshopped image, asking Dodo ‘Tu hai kaun’!”

As for Rohit Shetty, the source replied, “Kunal Kemmu and Rohit Shetty have worked together in Golmaal 3 (2010) and Golmaal Again (2017) and have a deep bond. Rohit heard Madgaon Express’ plot and found it quite promising. He encouraged Kunal to get into direction. Kunal was touched by Rohit Shetty’s constant support and hence, the mass filmmaker also got thanked.”

At the trailer launch of Madgaon Express, Kunal Kemmu revealed how he got the idea to make the film. He said, “Often, people say that their venture is a product of love. I think this (Madgaon Express) is a product of rage! Bahut zyada gussa aaya hua tha. Ghar baith ke soch raha tha ‘Kya ho raha hai?’. Kuch samaj mein nahin aa raha tha ki kya karein. I had two options – either I should get angry with myself and cry ya fir main aisa karoon jisse khud ko bhi hasee aayein aur dusro ko bhi. That’s what gave birth to Madgaon Express. Its characters helped me out of this time in life. They became my imaginary best friends and I started weaving a story around them.”

Dil Chahta Hai remains a classic. From Goa plans to friendship, it navigated the lives of three men starring Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan. It's been 23 years since the film was released marking Farhan Akhtar's foray into cinema as a director and changing the era of content in the industry. However, there have been calls for a sequel and it doesn't bore Farhan to hear it.

Speaking to Indian Express during Madgaon Express promotions, Farhan Akhtar said, “It doesn’t bore me. Whenever someone asks me that, it feels amazing that people have so much love for the first film that they are asking for the sequel. I always appreciate that, so it can’t bore me ever. But I don’t feel I need to do a Dil Chahta Hai 2. I feel that film has done what it had to do, I said what I had to say. Anything on it now will be trying to add something to a story that doesn’t need any additions.”

“For me films like a Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to a certain extent the first Rock On, Jee Le Zara — obviously that is still to be made — but they occupy the same kind of emotional space in terms of the stories that are being told that I experienced when I did Dil Chahta Hai. So I have never thought about going back and doing a sequel,” he added.

Meanwhile, Excel Entertainment’s Madgaon Express was released in theatres today. It stars Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary and Nora Fatehi among others. It was reported earlier that OMG 2 director Amit Rai is teaming up with Shahid Kapoor for a movie on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life, produced by Wakaoo Films. Now, it's revealed that Telugu producer Dil Raju is joining hands with Wakaoo Films for this project. The film is currently in pre-production, spearheaded by producers Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl. Previously, Raju and Shahid were to work together on Aneez Bazmee’s comedy film in which the actor had a double role. However, it did not pan out.

A source told Pinkvilla, “The yet untitled film with Shahid Kapoor is one of the most ambitious films of Indian Cinema and the makers are looking to celebrate the valour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the spectacle. They don’t want to leave any stone unturned and are partnering with the best in the business. Shahid Kapoor, Wakaoo Films, and Amit Rai have found their perfect partner in Dil Raju.”

“Amit Rai has been working on the subject for a while now and this happens to be his dream project. The writing and research work is underway, and the makers are also working on the pre-visualization of certain aspects. The idea is to make an authentic film on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” the source added.

“It’s impossible to retell Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life in a 3-hour feature film as every chapter of his life makes for a film in itself. The yet untitled Amit Rai directorial revolves around one of the most heroic wins of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” the source concluded.

In conversation with Zoom TV, Bobby Deol said that Dharmendra had the sweetest reaction to all the accolades and reactions he is receiving post Animal. “When Animal released and I came home, my dad said to me – because he loves social media – ‘Sab log tere deewane ho rahe hai’ (People are going crazy for you). I said ‘Papa, main aapka beta hoon, deewane nahi honge to kya hoge.’ (Papa I am your son, of course they would go crazy.) It was a very special moment for me.”

The actor also said that he is thankful to everyone for their love and support. “There are so many nice people in this industry. When Animal released, the kind of love I got from this industry was so beautiful, so special. Everyone didn't need to call me. I feel our industry is so amazing. It's just that sometimes social media makes it sound different,” he said.

Sajid Nadiadwala is on a roll. Last week, he made the big announcement that he’s collaborating one more time with superstar Salman Khan for an exciting action entertainer. The film will be directed by A R Murugadoss of Ghajini (2008) fame and will arrive in cinemas on Eid 2025. The association between Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the streaming giant was announced at a grand event held by Amazon Prime Video in Mumbai. And now, we have learnt that the reputed producer has one more exciting project up his sleeve.

For many days, an under-construction project opposite Fun Republic in Andheri, Mumbai has caught the attention of several people passing by. This is because the gate proudly mentions NGI - Nadiadwala Grandson Infrastructure. It made people curious whether Sajid Nadiadwala is shifting his office or residence to this plot. Some even speculated that the producer has entered the real estate business.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Sajid Nadiadwala is putting his ambitious plans in place at this venue. A reliable source told us, “Mr Nadiadwala is constructing a state-of-the-art VFX studio at this plot. It has been his dream project for several years and it’s finally coming to fruition.”

When asked for more details, the source replied, “Not much is known as the project has been kept a secret. But we have learnt that he will be collaborating with an international VFX studio for his dream venture.”

We reached out to the spokesperson of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, who confirmed this development.

An industry insider commented, “This is a huge step for Sajid Nadiadwala. VFX is indispensable in today’s times and with this vertical, he can get the VFX-related work done in-house for his movies. And like Red Chillies.VFX and NY VFXWaala, he can also encourage other producers to use this facility. Knowing him, I am sure the services offered will be top-class.”
