Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family issues remain in the headlines. The actor and his wife Aaliya have been making headlines after Aaliya claimed that she was being harassed at Nawazuddin’s house after his mother filed a complaint against her over a property dispute. She was at his Andheri house after she returned from Dubai with her kids. However, Nawazuddin’s lawyer had claimed that Aaliya was still married to her first husband, Vinay Bhargav. Now, a video has gone viral in which she has claimed that she and her kids were kicked out of the house. She also said that she simply had Rs. 81 with her. In the viral video, Aaliya was heard saying, “I just came from Nawazuddin's house and there (points out in a distance) you can see my daughter who is crying. We were thrown out of his bungalow and we have been told we cannot enter. I cannot understand where should I go with my kids. I just have Rs 81 with me - no house to go to, and no money.” The video also saw Shora Siddiqui, Nawazuddin’s daughter crying. Aaliya further said, “I do not know, how can Nawazuddin behave in such a manner. Nawazuddin, I can never forgive you for what you are doing to my kids. I just want to show, to all of you, how my kids are suffering at this late hour in the night. It is midnight, and I am stranded in the streets. I do not know where I should go with my kids.” She also claimed that her kids slept on the floor of a relative's house. As reported by Hindustan Times, responding to Aaliya’s claims, sources close to Siddiqui said, “Nawazuddin Siddiqui's ex-wife Aaliya Siddiqui has said that she was not allowed to enter the house but the truth is Nawazuddin has already named the property on his Ammi, Mehrunisa Siddiqui, so Nawaz is devoid of any decision-making power on anyone's entrance in the property. The caretaker of Mehrunisa Siddiqui states that only her grandkids are allowed in the property and no one else as the property belongs to her now.” “Other than this, in a recent viral video in which Aaliya was seen claiming that she does not have any other place to stay or go is technically wrong. To clarify the fact, Nawaz has already bought a lavish flat for Aaliya in Mumbai in 2016 which she has given for rent of her own will. Also, as we clearly see in this video, it is visible that no one is removed from the property as claimed by Aaliya and it is also very evident that the kids were never stopped to enter the property,” sources further told the publication. While speaking with ETimes, about the recent claims made by Aaliya, Shamas Siddiqui said, “As we speak, they are waiting outside the gate. The police are apparently going to help them to get inside. Aaliya stayed with her bhanji (niece) Shivani last night and she is present with them. Their maid is also with them.” Talking about the ancestral bungalow belonging to his mother, he said, “That’s not true. They have done a false Gift Deed in the name of our mother, which has been only notarized. A Gift Deed is meant to be registered. The bungalow in question belongs to Nawaz." Furthermore, advocate Rizwan Siddiquee, who appeared for Aaliya Siddiqui, told the Bombay High Court that the “situation in the house is so hostile” and he was not able to speak to his client. As per India Today, for this reason, he was “not able to file a reply to the habeas corpus (produce the person) petition of the actor.” While there are reports claiming property dispute, a day ago, it was reported that Nawazuddin Siddiqui reportedly transferred the land of Budhana village located in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, to his brothers. He signed the papers at sub registrar’s office and granted the power of attorney to one of his brothers. As per a report in News18, “Advocate Prashant Sharma told the media that Nawazuddin Siddiqui has given the power of attorney for all his ancestral property to his brother Almasuddin. This way, he has handed over all the rights of his land to his brother. In the second document, he has made a will that he will have the right to his share of the property as long as he is alive. After him, the property will be in the names of brothers Almasuddin, Majuddin and Minhajuddin Siddiqui. The 95th Academy Awards is around the corner and it has created a lot of buzz. From bagging a couple of nominations to Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone being one of the presenters, India has multiple reasons to rejoice in this year’s Oscars Awards. While many are going to step on this stage for the first time, Indian music maestro AR Rahman has already been there and lifted an award back in 2009. Refreshing our memory, the Academy's official Instagram handle gave a glimpse of Rahman's Oscars acceptance speeches. In the video, Rahman also recalled how people “misinterpreted” his acceptance speech while it has nothing to do with “any religion.” It all happened when he spoke about his surreal experience of winning two Oscars for Slumdog Millionaire in 2009. In the video, Rahman asserted, “I went to all these amazing dinners before the Oscars. But still, I was unsure, and the whole of India was cheering. I felt like a gladiator. When they announced my name for the score, I was like, “Is this real? Or is this a dream? And because I had to perform next, I was like “A.R., don’t react. There’s this and more. Don’t mess up your performance.” As he continued, the 56-year-old musician also talked about his acceptance speech, which he delivered after receiving the second award on the same night for the Best Song award with Gulzar for ‘Jai Ho’. For the unversed, he had said, “All my life, I had a choice of hate and love. I chose love and I’m here. God Bless,” in his speech in 2009. Commenting on the same, the Grammy Award winner told, “The second time when they announced my name for the best song, I had said in the speech that the essence of the film is optimism and hope, because the world was going through that economic depression, and Slumdog Millionaire was done in a way that anybody who sees it would feel high.” Explaining his take further, he added, “Some people have misinterpreted that statement over some religion and this and that, which is not true. Filmmaker Karan Johar is back to work. The director has begun the last schedule of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in Kashmir. He is shooting a massive song with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh and has hinted that he is paying homage to his favourite filmmaker of all time. Over a month ago, Bollywood Hungama had reported that Karan Johar will shoot the song as a tribute to his mentor Yash Chopra. The internet has been on fire ever since it came to light that the next instalment of Hera Pheri is going on floors very soon. On February 21, the lead cast of the film – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal – along with producer Firoz Nadiadwala were spotted shooting for the film’s promo. In no time, the picture went viral as the third part of this iconic franchise is highly awaited. A few days ago, another image took the netizens by storm. Interestingly, two versions of this photo are available online and it has created a lot of madness, or should we say, hera pheri! As per one picture, the name of the film on the clapper is Hera Pheri 4. But another picture has surfaced that mentions the name of the film as Hera Pheri 3! It has led to confusion about the real title of the film. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “There’s speculation that the next part will be called Hera Pheri 4. However, it doesn’t make sense as it’s the third instalment. Then, how can it be called Hera Pheri 4? However, Akshay Kumar can be seen holding a placard that says Hera Pheri 4. But another image on the internet shows the clapper with the title Hera Pheri 3. Is one of the pictures photoshopped? Or are the makers shooting both Hera Pheri 3 and Hera Pheri 4 simultaneously, like Baahubali and KGF?” The source further said, “A section of media has speculated that the film will be called Hera Pheri 4. Priyanka Chopra, along with Nick Jonas, has partnered with Jonas Brothers and Rob’s Backstage Popcorn co-founder, Rob Garbowsky, to create a new flavour of her own inspired by Indian spices called Priyanka’s Mumbai Nights. She even participated in terms of creating the popcorn bag. “Indian food is so diverse and Indian spices are so diverse, they all lead to another journey,” Priyanka Chopra told PEOPLE. "I wanted it to have a little bit of a kick, but not to be like chilli spicy. So it's heavy on cumin, onion, garlic, turmeric and red peppers. It's a very interesting spice mix, and it's very unique to our popcorn.” “If you walk into our kitchen, you'll see a space where all our favourite snacks for the month are given a prominent position, and I wanted to make the bag something which would be beautiful, that you'd want to display, which I think it is,” she added. “I made the writing sort of this muted gold because it's so good, and the colour is spearmint because that's just one of my favorite greens, and I just think it's super chic looking.” The actress further added, “Mumbai is chaotic and seductive at the same time. T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Films’ upcoming drama SRI is all set to release on 15 September this year. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F, Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar, the film is the biopic of the visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla. The film marks south actress Jyotika’s return to Bollywood after a long hiatus. Sharing more about the Tushar Hiranandani directorial venture, an official statement from the makers said, “Written by Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit, pictured by Pratham Mehta, SRI is a biopic of an industrialist Srikanth Bolla, who didn’t let his visual impairment come in the way of his vision and founded Bollant Industries.” Speaking about his excitement to back SRI, Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series, had earlier said, “Srikanth Bolla’s story testifies the very proverb of acing against the odds. After Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan and Ram Setu, Akshay Kumar’s fifth movie Selfiee has failed at the box office in a row. As many have spoken about the actor’s failure at the box office, veteran film exhibitor and producer Manoj Desai of Gaiety Galaxy and Maratha Mandir fame has said that he had to discontinue the movie after two days due to lack of demand. Speaking to Filmi Fever, Desai said, “Selfiee toh udd gayi pehle do-teen din mein. Aap pehle choosy they. Aapki sab filmein dekh dekh ke itni khushi hoti thi. Bahut dukh ho raha hai mujhe. Public gaali deke jaati hai mujhe Selfiee ki wajah se. The dashing and talented director Abhinay Deo is on a roll currently. His web series, Brown, starring Karisma Kapoor and backed by Zee Studios, has emerged as the only Indian show to be part of Berlin Market Selects 2023, which was held during the 73rd annual Berlin International Film Festival. Currently in London, the filmmaker exclusively spoke to Bollywood Hungama about this honour and a lot more. Except for Doosra, all your projects till now, be it Game (2011), Delhi Belly (2011), the TV show ‘24’ (2013), Force 2 (2016), Blackmail (2018) and Brown have had English titles. Is this intentional? Not at all. I actually never thought about this (laughs)! But it was just the kind of scripts that I chose. In ‘24’, I could not change the title as it was the adaptation of an international series of the same name. And what made you title the show Brown? Is it because the lead protagonist is named Rita Brown? Or is there any other reason? It is primarily the character’s name. But yes, the series talks about the different shades that a human being has. It’s not just a thriller or a murder mystery. It makes an in-depth analysis of how people are. They are neither white nor black. While that was one of the thoughts, the show was named Brown only because of the lead character. Was it difficult or easy to get Karisma Kapoor on board? The kind of role that we had, the actor had to be somebody who is of a certain age, who is a fine actor and who is not a conventional choice. All her life, Karisma has done very glamorous roles. In her prime, she played different characters but they were all glamorous. So it was a great idea to strip the glamour off and make her into something so real as a character. Initially, yes, it was difficult to convince her. She was contemplating whether Brown is the right project for her. But once we sat down and talked about the character and my expectations, it was a no-brainer for her. Brown is entirely set in Kolkata. Vidya Balan-starrer Kahaani (2012) has set a benchmark as it showed the City of Joy like never before. Did it play in your mind that you have to ensure that you show Kolkata in a way that it stands out from Kahaani or the rest of the thrillers set in Kolkata? No, it wasn’t in my mind. Kahaani was a fantastic film and I don’t approach films that way. I consider what the script and the characters demand and how the city needs to play an important role. In Brown, there’s a reason why it’s set in Kolkata. It is a rare city which is a metro and yet, behaves like a small town in many ways. At the same time, it encompasses different cultures. Bengalis, Marwaris, Biharis, Anglo-Indians etc co-exist in Kolkata. There are a lot of varied cultures and you can see their impact on the city. That’s what interested me to go with Kolkata. It had nothing to do with the way it was shot. I am anyway not a fan of shooting a city by showcasing its tourist attractions. Agar aapko Howrah Bridge dekhna hai toh Incredible India ka ad dekh lo (laughs)! Even in Delhi Belly, we didn’t show India Gate or Qutub Minar. I feel that a city is not its monuments. The city is its people and its underbelly. That’s what I’d rather show and also culturally, what the city stands for. Two locations that stood out for me in Brown were the tram depot where people are shown living in the trams and the scene where we see the informer operating from a very intriguing location… The second place was Tangra (aka Chinatown). The very fact that you mentioned it is a success for us! Earlier, Tangra used to be quite fascinating but now it is a dying part of Kolkata. I wanted that to be an element. Meanwhile, every filmmaker who goes to Kolkata feels obligated to shoot a scene in trams. The tram culture, however, is almost gone. In the next two years, trams will be obsolete. So, what happens to these trams? Interestingly, they are standing in a yard and poor or homeless people have started living in it. So, we decided to focus on that. How important is the Berlinale honour for you? We make films not just for ourselves. We make it for a large section of the audience. And getting accolades from a reputed festival makes you feel that you are heading in the right direction. There’s a commercial side and there’s an aesthetic side to any content. Both being praised is a feat. Brown is not out to the public. So we’ll know shortly how they receive it. But having a pat on the back from the very respected Berlinale is a very big feather in our cap. It makes us feel proud and happy. How many episodes of Brown were screened at Berlinale? We showed two episodes. The show is under production and we were only ready with the first two episodes. When will Brown be released to the public? It is in process and we are at the tail end of the post-production. Shortly, we shall make an announcement in this regard. Several web series end on a cliffhanger. Can we expect that in Brown and are there any plans for Brown’s sequel? Certainly, there is. We would hate to have such great characters created not being used to their maximum potential. So, we have our plans for part 2. Time will tell how it goes. You are about to shoot your next film in London. Could you share details? Not at the moment. It is not even named yet and hence, it’ll be difficult for me to share. Will the title be in English? Let’s hope not (laughs)! On a serious note, it’s a drama thriller and I am hoping that the audience will find it interesting. In fact, her second outing, Simmba, also performed well at the box office. Recently, the actress opened up about giving flops during a conclave. As per a report by Easter Eye, addressing the same, the 27-year-old actress asserted, “As an actor, we learn a lot every day. And our journey also involves the same. I always try to learn something or the other. But I also feel that I have made some mistakes. I have done such films, which have not been loved by the audience. But then again, this is my age to make mistakes.” She further explained, “Also, I feel that it’s important to fall down to get up every time. And I have had my own set of setbacks. Moreover, I have learned that making mistakes is a part of the journey and I think I have to make allowance for that.” Coming to the professional front, Sara was last seen in Anand L Rai’s Atrangi Re, which was released on Disney+ Hotstar. The film received a mixed response. She has a bunch of projects in her kitty, including Gaslight, Ae Watan Mere Watan, and Metro In Dino. Manoj Bajpayee has carved a niche for himself in Hindi cinema and is known as one of the finest artistes of his time. He has also been someone who has maintained a balance between mainstream commercial cinema and off-beat flicks. If one looks back at his filmography of the last decade or so, one would notice that he has worked mostly with new or relatively new or unestablished filmmakers. During the recently concluded Arth Culture Fest in New Delhi, Bajpayee shared the reason for being away from well-known filmmakers. “It’s been years since I stopped working with famous directors. I would try and work with new voices, who were telling stories in new ways. This is how I ended up doing films like Budhia Singh, Gangs of Wasseypur, Missing, Special 26, Gali Guleyan, Rukh, Bhosle, and now Joram and Gulmohar.” Sharing the reason for the same, the actor added, “The reason I want to work with new directors is that these people are young, they have new ideas. Their expectations from their actors are completely different. As an actor, I always want to keep evolving, and this bothers me. Elaborating further, Bajpayee said, “If I keep working with older filmmakers, I won’t evolve. These new directors have grown up on world cinema. They haven’t grown up watching only Hindi films. They watch Malayalam films, they watch Tamil films, they watch Telugu films, they watch European films, American films. This is good for me, because they challenge me, they bother me, they don’t let me sleep. They want me to distance myself from what I’ve done in the past.” Bajpayee will next be seen in the film Gulmohar, which will release on Disney+ Hotstar on March 3. After literally waiting for years, the official announcement of the third film in the Hera Pheri franchise happened last month. The film will see the return of the famous trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the roles of the iconic characters Raju, Ghanshyam aka Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte respectively. Shetty has penned a long note expressing his happiness on the green signal for the third film in the series, which is called Hera Pheri 4. In a LinkedIn blog post, the actor wrote, “So Hera Pheri 3 is finally happening! Look forward to being back on set with Pareshji and Akki (Akshay). Like all good things, this one took some time, but it’s a relief to finally have an answer to this question! Films are such a huge part of our culture, and yet, not many understand what goes into making a film. Apart from creative challenges, the business model and needs of the movie business make it as challenging as any other.” While elaborating on the process of making a film, Shetty added, “But let's just say having a good script, a set of actors and a director is literally just the start point. There’s the financing of a movie. It’s usually studios or production houses, which invest their own capital. Their teams assess the viability of a project before deciding on the budget.” Speaking about his own understanding of the complex process of making films, Shetty concluded saying, “33 years and 125 films later I don’t have it all figured out, but I will keep getting better at it.” Titled, Hera Pheri, the first film released in 2000 and it was directed by Priyadarshan. The sequel, titled Phir Hera Pheri, was helmed by the late Neeraj Vora and it released in 2006. Hera Pheri 4 will be directed by Farhad Samji. The much-talked-about Netflix docu-series The Romantics, which is a tribute to the legacy of Yash Chopra & YRF and their cultural impact on India and Indians for the past 50 years, was released on Feb 14 to unanimous acclaim and love. The national over-pouring of love for Yash Chopra and YRF was evident as The Romantics became the Number 1 trending title on Netflix within 48 hours of its drop, a rare feat for a documentary! The docu-series pays homage to Sridevi, the iconic Yash Raj Films heroine who made the entire country fall in love with her in the cult Yash Chopra romantic blockbuster - Chandni! Speaking of the same, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar lauded the late actress. The late Yash Chopra is seen revealing why he wanted to make a pristine love story for audiences. Anil Kapoor reveals, “Sridevi was the top star at that time. He didn’t know how to approach her. He asked my brother (Boney Kapoor) to speak to her. So, my brother flew down to Chennai to talk to her mother. It didn’t matter to her who Yash Chopra is, who has made such great films, it was just the money.” Chandni’s success was a watershed moment for Yash Chopra & YRF’s destiny and Sridevi’s brilliance in Chandni has inspired the leading ladies of our times to follow in her footsteps to deliver path-breaking performances on screen. Rani Mukherji says, “Like every woman wanted to be Sridevi. She was the epitome of grace, beauty, and performance. She was just everything, that a Hindi film actress needed to have.” About her memory of Sridevi as Chandni, Bhumi Pednekar says, “Oh my, God. Sobhita Dhulipala, who is one of the self-made stars in Bollywood, recently has been busy promoting the web series The Night Manager. The actress, who has been a part of some prestigious projects like Ponniyin Selvan, opened up about the kind of transition and culture-shock she experienced as a teenager who shifted from Vizag to Mumbai. Recalling her initial days of modelling and giving auditions for TVCs (Television Commercials), Sobhita revealed that she was rejected as a background model for the skin and haircare brand L’Oréal and then later, being signed on as one of their brand ambassadors. During her interview with Mashable India, Sobhita Dhulipala discussed her journey, starting from her early modelling days to becoming an actress. In the same, she opened up about how she faced several rejections because she didn’t fit the conventional standards of beauty. She said, “I never got even one because they told me I was not pretty or appealing”. The actress went on to add that during her college days, she did not believe that she was good-looking because she felt out-of-place in terms of fashion and style. So when she got rejected from modelling assignments, she would often believe it to be true because she was not confident about her looks. She added, " I was like, ‘Yes, obviously,' bachpan ka woh trauma tha, woh sach bol raha hai (because of my childhood trauma, I believed that they were saying the truth).” Sobhita went on to recall about her L’Oréal experience saying, “Mujhe voh bhi nahi mila (I did not even get that).” She continued, “Background mein bhi reject kia tha (They rejected me as a background model also).” She concluded the experience, “I was with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, passing shampoos, doing the ad, and I just felt it’s nice to be here,” she said. Last week, Bollywood Hungama reported that there could be a change in the release date of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The makers of the Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer were contemplating releasing the film on Tuesday, March 7, instead of Wednesday, March 8. The thought emerged as the makers thought that it’ll be wise to take advantage of the Holi holiday in several states on March 7. However, we have not learnt that the prepone plans have been dropped. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “There is no change in the plan. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will release on March 8, as originally scheduled.” The source further said, “A lot of last-minute prep is going on with the film and the makers feared that releasing a day earlier might add a lot of stress to the already overworked team. Moreover, even internationally, the plan was locked for March 8. Hence, a decision was taken to release Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar on March 8.” The source added, “The makers are confident of a healthy opening, though it’ll be a working day in several states on March 8. But thanks to considerable hype and youthful appeal, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar can score on the partial holiday on Wednesday. And let’s not forget that Women’s Day also falls on March 8 and that can further boost the footfalls.” A trade expert quipped, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will enjoy a five-day weekend and then there’s limited competition till the release of Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa. If the film clicks with the audience, it’ll be the second hit of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.” Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar also stars Dimple Kapadia and Anubhav Singh Bassi. Saiyami Kher will soon be seen in R Balki’s Ghoomer, an emotional and inspiring sports drama. Saiyami plays the role of a para-athlete, a cricket prodigy. Although she grew up playing cricket, this role was especially challenging since she had the role of a para-athlete, something she had to work hard to get into character. Siayami says, “I play the role of a left-handed bowler in Ghoomer and, for me, in real life, I am a right-handed player. I could never actually step into the shoes of a real-life para-athlete, but even the small hurdles I had to overcome being an athlete myself, reminded me of things we take for granted. Preparing and filming for Ghoomer opened my eyes in a way that I never thought would happen to go into it. It was a physically and emotionally challenging time, but my struggles were minuscule when compared to those heroes who make our country proud by participating in so many sports as para-athletes”. Ghoomer, which is expected to release in 2023 is a movie about a sports prodigy and also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Angad Bedi and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Abhishek plays her coach and Angad Bedi plays her love interest in the movie. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has seen unprecedented collections at the box office for a Hindi film. It's broken several records and has surpassed Rs. 1020 crore at the worldwide box office. Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan thinks it is a perfect payback for what the Khan family went through for the past two years. In a recent interview with DNA, Arbaaz Khan said, "And it was perfectly timed. More so for Shah Rukh, for all that he and his family have gone through last two years, I think this was a payback for the poor fellow. It was a very deserving, entertaining film and Shah Rukh was best in it." Speaking of the boycott calls and the threats that Pathaan received before its release, Arbaaz further said, “The audience doesn’t care what’s being written about someone. Filmmaker Karan Johar is back to work. The director will begin the last schedule of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He is set to shoot a massive song with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh and has hinted that he is paying homage to his favourite filmmaker of all time. Sharing a video of his team on a flight flying to an unknown location, Karan Johar wrote on Instagram, “Shooting the last schedule of our film #rockyaurranikipremkahani…a film i have directed after 7 years…shooting a song which is a homage to my favourite filmmaker of all times… won’t say any more…” Over a month ago, Bollywood Hungama had reported that Karan Johar will shoot the song as a tribute to his mentor Yash Chopra. For the romantic track, Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi in Chandni are the reference points. In 2021, Bollywood Hungama was the first to reveal the title and cast of the upcoming family-centric movie. Starring Gully Boy pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead, the film's cast also includes Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Jaya, who has worked with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho, plays Ranveer's grandmother whereas Dharmendra and Shabana play Alia's grandparents. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani has been postponed to July 28. The film was earlier supposed to release on April 28, 2023. Akshay Kumar recently released his two-hero film, Selfiee, co-starring Emraan Hashmi. After the release of the film, the actor is all set to fly to the USA for a five-city show. Titled ‘The Entertainers’, it will be fronted by Akshay Kumar and also comprises Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani, Sonam Bajwa, Stebin Ben, Jasleen Royal, Mouni Roy, Aparshakti Khurana and Zahrah Khan. Unfortunately, one of the shows of ‘The Entertainers’ has been cancelled. As per a statement released by the promoter of the show, Amit Jaitly, the show that was scheduled at Cure Insurance Arena, Trenton, New Jersey on Saturday, March 4 will not take place. Amit Jaitly attributed the cancellation to the 'slow sale of tickets'. He added that the show wasn’t appropriately marketed and that they had 'less than stellar support for marketing from the Tour organizer'. The statement ended with an assurance that those who had booked tickets will be fully refunded. However, the rest of the four shows of 'The Entertainers' will take place as scheduled. Akshay Kumar and the rest of the actors will commence the tour with a performance on Saturday, March 3 in Duluth, Georgia. This will be followed by shows in Allen, Texas on Wednesday, March 8, Kissimmee, Florida on Saturday, March 11 and Oakland, California on Sunday, March 12. The cheapest ticket for ‘The Entertainers’ is available for $59, as per the information given on a booking website. The booking website shows that the tickets are fast filling for the show in Oakland on March 12. As per a report, Nora Fatehi already reached the USA yesterday, on February 26. Akshay Kumar and the rest of the actors, meanwhile, will land in the USA on Tuesday, February 28. A grand rehearsal has taken place in Mumbai. Akshay is expected to dance to his popular tracks and the remix versions of some of his old songs, as per this report. In his interview with Aaj Tak, Akshay Kumar opened up about the performance of his recent theatrical releases, and said, "It is a great alarm, aapki film nahi chal rahi to galti aapki hai (If your films are not working, it is your fault). When your films flop in a row, it is an alarm for you that it is time for you to change. Mai koshish kar raha hun, wahi kar sakta hoon (I am trying to change, that is all I can do).” He continued, “Do not blame the audience or anyone else. It is my fault, 100%. Aapki film na chalna is not because of audience. It is because of what you selected. Maybe you have not given the right ingredients in the film.” Furthermore, the actor also opened up about experiencing a much worse fate in terms of films in the past, wherein he had given 16 consecutive flops. "This is not happening with me for the first time. There was a time when I had eight films in a row that did not work. Now, I have had three-four films in a row that did not work. The thing is that it happens due to your own fault, film ka na chalna (a film not working). The audience has changed, you need to change, you need to dismantle yourself,” he maintained. Before Selfiee, Akshay Kumar featured in films like Bachchan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Ram Setu which were theatrical releases in 2022. Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan began his career with a negative character in Daraar. One would question why the brother of one of India's biggest superstar, Salman Khan, and the son of a renowned screenwriter (Salim Khan), would start his career with the role of a villain. Arbaaz stated that there weren't many opportunities for him, so he wanted to get started in show business as soon as possible. Arbaaz Khan told IANS, “The opportunities were very less and there were only a few directors with whom an actor would have wanted to work then. Honestly, I was just waiting to start work.” The actor further said, “At the end of the day, I too had responsibilities, my father had such a terrific body of work, my brother (Salman Khan) was already a big star by then.” “So, it was important for me to take the plunge. In showbiz, you expect your break at the age of 21 or 22 but, once you're in your mid 20s and you haven't started working, there's pressure on you to work, earn and deliver. So, I thought the film was good and the negative shade of my character did not matter to me,” said the actor. Arbaaz concluded by saying, “So, it was more of a work call, I got the award in my very first film. I agree that for a long time I was typecast as an actor after that film but that also gave me work. Kaam karna important hai na (To work is all that matters, right?) Suniel Shetty claimed that he first met his son-in-law KL Rahul in 2019 at an airport, where he discovered that they both hail from Mangalore.. Later, he learned that the cricketer was already acquainted with and on "talking terms" with his daughter, the actor Athiya Shetty. On January 23, 2023, the pair exchanged vows at Suniel's family farm in Khandala. The actor appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to discuss Kumite 1 Warrior Hunt, the first MMA reality programme in India. He also discussed the recent nuptials of his daughter to Rahul. Unaware that he and Athiya were already acquainted, he talked of meeting the cricketer. Mid-Day quoted Suniel Shetty saying, “I had the pleasure of meeting Rahul first at an airport. I was thrilled to learn that he was from Mangalore, my hometown. I was a big fan of him and was happy to see that he was doing well. When I came home and shared the news with Athiya and [wife] Mana, they didn’t say much; they just exchanged looks with each other. Later, Mana came to me and said that Athiya and Rahul [were on] talking terms.” “I was surprised that Athiya had not mentioned it to me. [At the same time], I was happy as I always told Athiya to connect with south Indian boys. Rahul’s house in Mangalore [where his parents live] is only a few kilometres away from my birthplace [Mulki]. So, this was a happy coincidence,” the actor added. On the work front, Shetty’s last project Dharavi Bank was released on MX Player last year. Directed by Samit Kakkad, the web series saw him play a gangster from Mumbai with Vivek Oberoi essaying the role of a cop. He will be next seen in Hera Pheri 3 reuniting with co-stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Earlier this week, a promo announcement shoot for the film was held in Mumbai. Paresh had shared that the film's shoot will begin in three months and the trio of Raju, Shyam, and Babu Bhaiyya, will travel abroad for the third sequel. Rajkumar Hirani is arguably the biggest director of Bollywood right now. He has delivered five films till now, all of which have been huge successes and have tremendous recall value. As a result, the expectations are tremendous from his upcoming film, Dunki. Moreover, it stars Shah Rukh Khan, who’s on a roll after the blockbuster success of his recently released action entertainer, Pathaan. Rajkumar Hirani rarely gives interviews and mostly speaks to the media around the time of his film’s release. As a result, it was a surprise when he recently spoke to India Today about Dunki. In this conversation, he expressed his love for Shah Rukh Khan and his work ethic. Rajkumar Hirani revealed that he was blown away by Shah Rukh's prep process and that the actor would shoot videos of a scene from his home and send it to him. That’s not all. Rajkumar said, “There will be 15 ways of how he is going to do this. Before I go on the set, I know what he is going to do. Sometimes I have kept two days for a shoot and he finishes it in two hours.” He also praised him for his command over the language. It’s common knowledge that Shah Rukh Khan is not an early morning person. Hence, Rajkumar Hirani said that he was pleasantly surprised to see him arrive at 7:00 am for a shoot. He also said that Shah Rukh knew that the director sleeps early and hence, he ensures that he doesn’t call him late at night. At the same time, however, Rajkumar Hirani said, “He keeps teasing me that by the time the shoot is done, he will have converted me (into a night owl). (He would ask) ‘Itna subah kaun uthta hai?’”, adding that “I wish I had worked earlier with him”. Another aspect of Shah Rukh Khan that Rajkumar Hirani praised was that “If has to make a point, he does it subtly. He doesn’t want to come across as disturbing the thought process.” Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani. It is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2023. Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit recently spoke about how tough it is to be a spouse of a doctor on her husband Dr. Shriram Nene’s YouTube channel. She shared how her marriage opened a complete different and unexplored aspects in her life. Madhuri on her husband Dr. Shriram Nene's YouTube channel said, “It is tough because of the kind of time you guys have to keep. It’s hard because then you are the one who is looking after the kids, taking them to school, getting them back and stuff like that. Also, the timings; you might have something important happening but you are not there, you are in the hospital looking after someone else. Sometimes I might be sick and you have to take care of someone else.” Madhuri also shared the positive side of it. “But I guess it's also so heartening and I always used to feel so proud of you because whenever I saw you being so concerned about the patients you are looking after or fighting for their rights... I know in the hearts of hearts, you are a very good person. In a marriage, it is important to know your partner,” said the actress. Sharing her thoughts on her beautiful partnership with her husband, she said, “We always had that partnership where we looked after each other and made sure the kids were always looked after and loved. There are times when it is difficult but there are times when we know whatever we are doing in life is for the good and is something we both want.” The actor revealed that she was able to experience many aspects of life after marriage. She said, “After I got married, I lived my life because we went out, we travelled a lot and we did a lot of adventure sports which I never did earlier. It just enriched my life and made me a better person. It also gave me a flight of fancy sometimes.” Sriram Nene also praised Madhuri for being a "supporting spouse" during their marriage. “Having a supportive spouse like this, who loves you and cares about you regardless of what happens, is critical to the journey. Both of us have very challenging careers,” he concluded. In 1999, Madhuri tied knot with Dr. Shriram Nene. She moved to the US and stayed there for more than ten years. Arin, the couple's first son, was born in 2003, and Ryan, their second child, was born in 2005. Coming to the work front, Madhuri was last seen in the bold Amazon Prime Video flick Maja Ma where she played the role of a perfect housewife and mother who has a hidden past. Javed Akhtar recently went to a festival in Lahore to honour the author Faiz Ahmed Faiz, where he learned that Indians believe all Pakistanis to be terrorists. In a sharp response, Javed stated that the terrorists of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks continue to roam freely in Pakistan. Since then, he has been at the centre of the debate; while Indian celebrities and politicians are applauding him for the statement, Pakistani celebrities like Ali Zafar have criticised him. Javed reiterated his remarks from the event while speaking at an ABP event. He said, “It became too big, it feels embarrassing, feel like I should not go (for such events). Yaha aya to laga pata nahi third World War jeet ke aya hoon. The people and the media have so many reactions. I was embarrrased aisa kya keh diya? Itni baat to kehni padegi, chup rahein kya?” He further added, “I got to know that people are abusing me there. They are asking, ‘Why was he given visa?’ Is tarah ki baatein, jo thodisi sensitive aur controversial ho… jis mulk mein paida hue, jisme rehte hain aur jisme marenge waha karte rehte hai toh do din wahaa gaye the, wahaan kya darna? Jab yaha nahi darte toh wahaan kya darenge?” He was questioned about how he mustered the confidence to say these things in front of a Pakistani audience. He replied, “I’m sure the youth of Pakistan will embrace you with open arms. I’ll tell you one thing — No country is a monolith. What happens is that we start believing that the policies of their government and establishment is what the country is about. But that’s not true.” He further added, “The fact is that it is very unfortunate that we are unaware that there is a huge segment in Pakistan that wants to have a good relation with India and that is totally understandable, not because they are saints, but because they are seeing a country next door jahaan itna development hai, itni industries hai, jahaan par corportate world itna develop kar gaya, jahaan culture itna hai, jahaan music aur films itni peak pe hai. So, an average citizen of that country would obviously be curious and would want to come here and see and if given an opportunity of a job or a presentation, he’ll run to do it and it totally understandable.” The Faiz Festival was a three-day event, which commenced on February 17 and ended on February 19. Javed believed that it was unfair to expect Indians to disregard the fact that the attackers were living freely in Pakistan after having witnessed the horrors of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.
